I don’t think acquiring Miromanov was a mistake but he hasn’t become the player you would hope.
Should have happened before we let solo on waivers.
This is a good thing.
Met Miro on the red carpet and he is such a good guy, he stayed the longest I believe, signing and joining on photos whenever asked. He might have said at least 3 times how much he appreciated everyone coming to this event, when in fact, I wanted him to know that we are the ones who appreciated him taking the time to be with us.
Unfortunately, his play on the ice is just not up to par, you need to earn a spot through your play. I really wish him the best and hope he is able to revitalize his career, whether with the Wranglers or with another team.
Not surprising, he’s superfluous

Maybe it just wasn’t the right fit, for him, or us. Time to move on.
Question: Does it matter as we have lot of salary cap? Or is it needed in order to bring up AHLers?
Do Bean next…
That Hanifin trade looks better and better 😀
You can’t say the flames didn’t try with him. He got more chances than Solo did. This is the right move.
It’s Popsicle time
I’m glad we didn’t fall for cost fallacy and admitted defeat on this move. Miromanov seems like a good guy and I doubt he’ll make a big stink about this. But it wasn’t working. Something had to be done.
But now I’m curious what the plan is for the D Core. Call up Brzustewicz maybe or rely on the guys you have now until someone earns a spot. Not like Miro was the only issue.
about fking time
Miro seems like a solid dude, but he’s not cut out for the NHL. He’s got good size and has flashes of offensive talent, but he can’t process the game at the highest level, and his skating since that knee injury isn’t up to par for what you need an NHL calibre defenceman to be.
I could see the vision when we got him in the trade, but it didn’t work out. I’m guessing he’s going to the KHL by next season.

Good
Salute, tank commander. You will be missed
Makes me wonder who the next guys up from the Wranglers will be on D. Of course, how they are playing right now is the biggest decider, but I would have to think Bru, Gru, and Kuznetsov will all get chances sooner than later.
I think Morin needs some more seasoning.
Will be interesting to see if Poirier gets some games with the big club. He’s had a good amount of time in the A but it sounds like his defensive game isn’t quite there yet?

Too bad we aren’t keeping him and trading Anderson already.
I’d rather have Miro than Bean the window licker
