2. Cheerleader Mike Tomlin has been unable to field a great defense since Lebeau left no matter how much of the salary cap they use on it.

3. So much for Washington being TE1, huh DK?

4. My excitement is now gone for the rest of the season. Gets sooner each and every year. Don’t care if I miss a game now. Same tomlin = no chance

5. Austin will be sacrificial lamb end of season, but nothing will change as it’s the head coach’s defense that is very clearly behind the times in today’s nfl.

7. Been a fan since 1974. Not a hater. It’s hard to win in the NFL. BUT… it’s getting hard to root with all the nonsense. It starts at the top! Rooney should’ve fired the DC and OL coach last year. It’s been years since we’ve had a name OC or DC. I don’t think coach Smith is all that. He was made to look good because in Tennessee he had a pretty decent QB and Derrick Henry. The promoting with in before that Randy Finctner and Matt Canada didn’t work. Been a big Tomlin supporter but everybody’s time comes. I will always be a fan but if Tomlin can’t change and Rooney can’t change then I will stop rooting and be a neutral fan. I don’t care about losing it’s how we lose. Nothing is getting fixed. That’s coaching. Even Andy Reid had an expiration date for the Eagles. Maybe Tomlins is up as well

8. It’s easy to say this in hindsight, but I also felt this way at the time, taking Joey over Brian Branch looks worse and worse every day. I would love to see more Ekuale against Green Bay. I felt like he made a real difference in stopping the run against Minnesota and NE.

9. Somebody give Dick LeBeau a call at the retirement center. Surely he will be throwing his Cheerios up at the thought of a Steelers defense like this.

10. Every year the one common denominator is Tomlin. He doesn’t demote his pets! He
    Let’s them keep under preforming. Lebeau could fix this tomorrow.

11. I thought we were going to move Watt around? He does the same thing from the same spot every play of course offenses will plan to minimize him.

12. Defense wasn't there to play football, D-line was learning how to dance with one partner, DB's had gopro so they could video up close how WR and RB catch/run. It was a TRAINing session and they all need to either Get Off the TRAIN or take ownership by telling other teammates to "get off the field" if they don't approve of their actions.,,, Thanks DK for letting me vent. This is the first video from anyone I have watched since the game. 😊

So my question is "Do the Steelers have enough talent defensively and the players are LONE WOLFING their efforts or are the defensive coaches just dropping the ball (Austin/Tomlin) and not coaching the scheme properly ? " They can not tackle or cover and have no understanding of situational football. But what the heck 10-7 and a weak playoff effort(loss) can still be achieved.

18. 9:48 Cmon DK i respectfully disagree with your response here … JPJ always hold or PI he’s know for it now why… BECAUSE HE ALWAYS DOES IT no one is picking on him he Just does they show the replay and even slow it down and YES it’s always a PI or hold some times BOTH lol… and those 2 PI that he got being his only 2 PI for the season is only because he only played 2 Games.. 2 games 2 PIs that’s sad.. he’s a very middle of the pack corner if that .. 19. Who stopped Chase and Higgins in the league when they got A accomplished QB play…??? Benton isn't a Nose Tackle…!!! He didn't play.ay Nose in college…Our Steelers always put players where they want them not based on what got them drafted…… Flores could do better then Tomlin and Austin and he was on team 2 years ago… Steelers only issue and I really mean ONLY !!!! Is the same issue for the last 5 years and thats DISCIPLINE to be where your supposed to be…

22. About the penalties. I cannot say for sure if Porter gets called for what should not be a non-call. I can say for sure that if you are going to call Porter then you should have called many more against the bungles defense that was trying to mug DK Metcalf on almost every play and trying to tackle our TE's before the ball has even been thrown.

23. Tomlin was right this defense will be historic. Just like the Steelers of the 60's.

25. Chase Brown is a better RB than JPJ is a CB. And it’s not close. So not fair calling Brown a nobody. My last year fantasy football team offers evidence of the contrary.

    And what was up with the effort to tackle that guy after he caught the ball running down the seam. They just let him run by. They could have easily hit him at the 1yrd line.

    Has Tomlins defense ever been great besides 2010? I mean that is what held the killer B’s back.

37. Hi DK,

    Tomlin has become not a washed HC but a nightmare. Austin isn’t really a DC, he is just a obedient coach guy doing what the HC is telling him to do, which is nothing !
    #97 asking for more money, hahaha what a joke.
    #56 doesn’t look healthy enough.
    #24 isn’t as good as expected, I wouldn’t be disappointed if they trade him.
    #91 looks lost.
