In Monday night’s Lions–Bucs game, Jared Goff went 20-for-29, dropping his season completion rate to 74.88%. That means Drake Maye now leads the league at 75.2% — and he’s no ‘Checkdown Charlie.’
As a bonus, with Baker struggling tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising if Drake climbed into the top three in MVP odds alongside Mahomes and Allen.

Needs a naming, Stil.
We need a solid nickname for this bomber.
Knock on wood y’all
getting just a little bit ahead of myself but my fave number is 10 and if Drake is the reason 10 is retired here forever, I am all in.
Idk in other subreddits people barely even consider Maye an MVP candidate. Literally a guy with a Pats flair asked why Maye shouldn’t be in the MVP conversation and got downvoted to oblivion. I’m not sure why – just don’t think people are ready to have a Patriot MVP-level quarterback again? The rest of the league seems to think we’re “cute” (awwwww locker room vibes) but not serious contenders.
People aren’t watching the Patriots on a weekly basis so they literally dont know. The only game the majority of people saw was against the Bills, and Maye was pretty shaky in the first half and we only put up 23.
People check the box score after the game and see efficient, but not crazy counting stats. He hasn’t passed 300 yards and his rushing totals are down. Just because we watch each beautiful throw a million times doesn’t mean other fanbases are
Why don’t we let the season play out and revisit this week 16 or so? Why is everyone rushing?
Maye’s solid, but there is a lot of football left.
Game manager stat!
DRAKE MAYE LEADS THE LEAGUE IN COMPLETION PERCENTAGE AND IS 2ND IN AVERAGE DEPTH OF TARGET
