Shohei Ohtani is UNBELIEVABLE – Pat Murphy sounds off on Brewers swept by Dodgers in NLCS
all here. Murf, obviously not the ending you wanted. I mean, what’ you say to the guys in there just about the season as a a whole here? I mean, we’ve uh we’ve talked about being an inch from the top and an inch from the bottom and uh you know, we faced u a really really talented team that played really really good. We were part of tonight an iconic, you know, maybe the best individual performance ever in a postseason game. I I don’t think anybody can argue with that. Guy punches out 10 and hits three homers. Um I’m really proud of our team. I admire our team. Enough has been said. The narrative has been said many times, but um you know it came to an end tonight to a team that is not only talented, played great. And we’ve talked a lot about the pitching and you just mentioned how many pitching performances they had in this series. What’ you make your offense? Was it their pitching? Was a little bit of everything. Just what’ you see from the offense over the four games? Oh, since the beginning of time in baseball when you’re you have dominant pitching on the mile throwing 98 to 100 every guy and uh with tremendous off speed pitches the command they showed Will Smith deserves a ton of credit. Um yeah, I said it was done pitching. If you want to say our offense, I think most offenses would struggle, you know. Go here in the front row. Sophia Murf, when you think about this team and, you know, some of the performances you got from the young guys, right? Guys like Chad and Miz and Caleb. Um, what what do you want them to take away from this season and and the experience of the DS and playing against a team like the Dodgers? Yeah, I mean, it’s it’s a great experience. Um, but that’s where you got to go. That’s why the little things matter. That’s all the things we harp on matter because we don’t have as big a margin of error when you don’t you’re not your team is not filled with the same amount of talent. So, um we learn a lot from it. We had a lot of young players. You mentioned Durban, you know, uh Cheerios in his second year. Um you know, he looked pretty comfortable the whole series. So, it’s uh yeah, a lot of good things. Chad Patrick, Miz, a lot of guys stepped up. So, um, excited about that for them. They have experienced this. They’ve seen it firsthand. They know how precious it is. Um, you lead the league in in wins and you do some great things for the franchise, but still, you know, there’s there’s work to be done. So, the emotional series and the Cubs is you guys have to know the Brewers Cubs thing well. you have to have been part of it to understand how it really zapped um a lot out of us emotionally and then to have to come back and play right away. Um I think and then we lose a one-run game and it just takes us off us. It took us off it a little bit and then the pitching performances by the Dodgers uh you know basically uh put the hammer down. questions back here to Paul Murf. Not a lot of free agents. I mean, this is pretty much the team you could run back with next year. How do you feel about that? And how much you looking forward to getting another shot at it with largely the same group? Yeah, I mean, uh, we’ll see. You know, you say that, but that’s not just how it always works. But um right now we just have to sit back and look at our health and make sure guys are getting healthy. Guys that need offseason um procedures and things to get done uh can stay healthy. Uh we give them a plan of attack going forward. And uh yeah, I mean I love the guys. I love I love what they bring to the table. I love their possibilities um going forward. Um but like every year we’ll look we’ll look at a little different for sure. Any more questions for Pat? All here. Murf, obviously not the ending you wanted. I mean, what’ you say to the guys in there just about the season as a a whole here? brewers built for fall in t-shirt is so real 😂😂😂
Pat Murphy said this morning that Mookie was the Dodgers MVP. Shohei heard and took it personally tonight 😅
Fire the whole coaching staff no heart at all what’s. Looser
Fine human being.
Brewers need to go back to American League. They might have a chance to go to Finals.
Brewers got swept. Brewers Karen went 0-1. Go Fking Dodgers
I would've never thought the Brewers would win 97 in May. The Brewers had a very good year. They happen to run into a juggernaut in the Dodgers. Chin up. The future is bright.
This guy dropped the ball. When you got a player having that kind of night, you start walking him. You don't keep pitching to him.
The brew fell off the stew.
What makes the NFL so great…inarguably our national pastime….is the salary cap- GMs compete on an equal basis, using their skills to construct a team- what we have in baseball is a many little leaguers competing against the big boys,
Great year but my gawd….4 total runs in the entire series. 4. One of the worst offensive performances in a playoff series ever. Brewers pitching did their job! The lineup played scared out there
Dodger fan here. Brewers are 10x better than Las Madres.
Hey you miLwaukee cheese dicks, how ‘bout them DODGERS!!!!!!
🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹!!!!!
Pat rules. What a great guy!!
Pat is a Great guy and Manager…..he should be the National League Manager of the Year for the Second straight year and hope he gets a good contract extension…..Go Dodgers in the World Series 💙🩵💙
What a great coach great human this man is, the Brewers had the Best record in the MLB, congrats to them. As a Dodgers fan, I appreciate this team, it shows that record could never count thru playoffs. This is a small market team, they did great. Let’s go WS Dodgers
YOU BIG STIFF
BREWERS ENJOY THE 6 REGULAR SEASON GAMES YOU WON ON US BUT ALSO TAKE THE 4 GAME POSTSEASON SWEEP FROM DODGERS.
💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥
Pat Murphy should retire to a farm in North Carolina with Shildt.
I’m not proud of this team yaw chocked again. At this point I wont be watching them next year till they get to World Series I don’t if they go 100-0 in the regular season Brewers are embarrassing Wisconsin sport team in the playoffs.
brewers won 6 games tought that was it against DODGERS….. NOT SO FAST BUDDY
Beat them 6-0 during the season. Couldn’t do nothing in the playoffs. If I were Murphy, I would have told the guys no partying after beating the Cubs. No celebrations til we win our first championship.
You fake virtue signaling Dodgers fans are funny.
110m vs 395m payroll. What do u expect?
I’m amazed you thought you could win against the Dodgers with that team!
I love Pat and I’m a Dodgers fan
As a dodgers fan Pat is great
Keep your head up Milwaukee
you got something special
The Dodgers pitching in this series, simply kept the Brewers from putting runners on base, and then moving them across home plate. Outstanding starting pitchers, that we could not figure out. We ended up depending on home runs to get a score and did not have men on base to run up the score.
Our defense was great, some amazing plays were made, our catcher was great, as usual. Few fielding errors were made by the Brewers. Some of the Brewers best starting pitchers, got beat up by Dodgers batters, and left the game early., Aribe can't pitch 9 innings every game!
Lost first 4 games of season-lost 4 to end season! Lots of things to fix! Spring Training will come fast!
Brewers pitching not deep enough
Excuse me how much rest did cubs get before facing brewers in Milwaukee for first two games in a five game series. Don’t tell me your brewers didn’t get enough rest please. The brewers were build to fail. CUBS win division in 2026
Murphy always looks like hes amused by the questions. He didnt have the brewers ready. His line-up card game after game lacks creativity…boring like he is. Had a great teacher on how to lull the press asleep in Council. Prediction Brewers in 4th place in 2026….and 12 dollar beers..and many price increases.
It’s one thing to do it to the last place Marlins, it’s a whole other to do it to a first place team in a clinching game of the NLCS.
They Dodgers may not know who eight of their players are, but they know who Ohtani is !
