Here comes Shay in the in the neutral zone trying to move it to the offensive end. It goes behind the net. The Sharks are now going to battle for the puck with the Penguins on the far side quarter. Puck going away to the near to the far side and stays in the offensive end for the Pens, but the Sharks clearly will get possession here and going to move the puck the other way into the neutral zone. They do. Here come the Sharks going to the offensive end. Tries to find someone to go with it. going to be a pass that’s deflected and a shot at the key is going to be saved by Tristan Dari. And the puck goes back behind the net for the Pens to take it. Here comes Shay. Tries to find somewhere to go here to the near side to Breny. Breni trying to move the puck up and he does pass it back before trying to get that puck out of here. The Pens going for a bit of a line change here. So holding the puck right now is going to be Caleb Jones tries to find a little bit of a hole here. It looks like that was Crosby on the far side. And here comes the Penguins again towards the offensive end. Not going to go anywhere. Tommy Novak carried the puck in. Battling for the puck though. And the Sharks are going to go ahead and send it the other way. Will Smith sends it out. And the Penguins are going to give Chase back into their defensive end. Trying to race for that puck. They are trying to send it out. The Sharks though. No, the Pens do have it now. Trying to send it out. And the Sharks going to go ahead and take it the other way. Take it away in the neutral zone. Moving in towards their offensive end. Trying to find somewhere to go with it. Gets close. Goes behind the net. Tries to find somewhere to go out to the far corner. They keep it in the zone. Back behind the net. Now the Sharks still they are showing an offensive dominance right now here as they’re trying to find somewhere to go and their shot not going to go deflected. The Pens trying to take that puck away. They take it as a good chance but a battle for the Pug is ensuing on the far side boards racing for that puck for the Sharks is Michael Misa and the Pens are going to take it away here. So, here comes a chance for the Penguins, but nowhere really to go with it as Justin Brazo has been kind of left to hang. Trying to keep that puck in. Brazo does. Battle for the puck right in front of the net, but the Sharks are going to successfully clear it out. And the puck is going to of course get in the neutral zone, but Latang takes it deep in the neutral zone. Trying to take it the other way. They do for the time being. And here he comes. Bruo tries to find some help. He does with Latang. Latang across to the far side. Puck goes skittering away. The Sharks now have it. Here come the Sharks on a bit of a two on three right now. Day trying to battle that puck away. He does a little bit. He kind of does a nice job to disrupt the play, but the puck goes to the near side. Racing for it. Battling on the near side. Boards back trying to go behind the net and they do. But now a battle with Leang behind the net on the far on the coming to the near side and the Sharks. That shot was wide. Thankfully that shot was wide. Here comes the Sharks trying to take it the other way and they are going to keep it in their own offensive end. Goes up to the near side and the pass is not going to be completed there by William Ecklund out to the far side. Ekkund trying to find someone to go with it. He does to the near side. Ultimately goes to Eoro. Eoro tries to find someone with it. He can’t find anywhere to go. The puck goes scaring to the near side corner trying to battle for it and the Sharks do have it. They’re trying to do something with it here. Here comes Wenberg. going to send it out and it’s going to be blocked out to the far side to be retrieved by Lety. Ready trying to find someone to go with the battle along the boards there. The Pens do get in the neutral zone because of Crosby to the near side. Wenberg trying to find somewhere he can go with it. Tries to get some help. Sends it up to the near side corner and a puck goes loose. Latang dumps it out to the far side over to Rust. Rust tries to find somewhere to go with it, but nowhere really. Latang back now to the near side and here comes Shay. Jay tries to find somewhere to go. But again, the Sharks are playing a very strong kind of a press defense here. The Pens are able to successfully clear to the neutral zone though. I believe that’s Brian Russ if I’m not mistaken. That is Russ number 17. But to the near side, are going to successfully send it out to the near side. Battling for the puck on the near corner in the offensive end for the Penguins. Here they go trying to get that puck. But you know, given my love for the Steel City submarine sandwiches, and every proud monkey town needs a team like them, I think the Penguins might just pull through. It’s like choosing between a delicious bratwurst and a good pizza. Both fantastic in their own rights. While my love for the Steelers from Pittsburgh is absolutely bipartisan and deep. We’re talking hockey here. That’s a whole different ball game, so to say. Right now in this game, I’m appreciating San Jose’s defense. Just like I appreciate a good brat, it doesn’t mean I suddenly abandon my penguin’s love. Think of it as a beautiful culinary rivalry on the ice. At the end of the day, real sports love the passion, not the partisanship. Penguins have my heart, but a good goalie performance draws admiration. It’s the beauty of the game. Of course. Of course, the Trump bot would say, “Let’s abandon partisanship when it comes to hockey.” Oh my gosh. He’s saying, “Instead of dividing us into parties, let’s all be united in hockey fans.” So, basically, you’re telling me to not have a favorite team because having a favorite team would be partisan. You know, something the Detroit Lions, or dare I say, the Cleveland Browns only dream of. When it comes to hockey, appreciating skill doesn’t mean you can’t cheer for your favorite team. It’s all about respecting the game and the incredible talent out there. We’re objective, but passionate. That’s different. Keep your favorite team close, no doubt. Just like my love for a sizzling bratwurst. But it’s also about enjoying the place each team brings to the competition. Sports are meant to bring us together. And sometimes appreciating the other side’s grandeur is all part of the action. It’s what makes watching these epic matches more thrilling than a presidential debate in Ohio. Wait a minute. It’s as if they were practicing social distancing from the puck this whole game. Honestly, Sharks fans see more action from their computers in Silicon Valley than on the ice over there. A three shut out, a sad performance, much like a Democrat campaign promising change that never comes. They’re always swimming but never reaching the finish line. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Maybe they should start building offices in the Mariana Trench because they’re miles from the action they need to be part of. As for the Penguins, folks, what a performance. Like a perfectly constructed sandwich, every layer from defense to offense was executed with precision, set to perfection by legends like Crosby and Latang. The Steel City submarine sandwiches are deliciously on point. This is what real hockey looks like. A beautiful display of true Penguins excellence. Hats off to Pittsburgh for making it happen.
