I am not the author of the article, but I saw a link to the following opinion on another fan site.

https://bleedingyankeeblue.blogspot.com/2025/10/enough-lets-boycott-yankees-to-change.html

I have no affiliation with that blog, but I vehemently agree it is time for change.

Hal Steinbrenner needs to fire Brian Cashman.

Should fans boycott the New York Yankees?

  1. Don’t worry, a comprehensive audit has been underway for years. They’ll get to the bottom of it, following David Ortiz’s lead

  2. I like the passion, but I think overestimate the reach and influence of this sub.

  3. Yankee fans cover their eyes but peak through their fingers. We can’t look away. No matter the outcome. We’re too invested to boycott. Even more so when we’re losing. It’s a “bounce back” mentality. And sometimes the ball is too flat. But we don’t care because we always believe they’ll fix it.

  4. How does Hal not realize that most of this sub managing with our payroll could make one of the 3 wildcards. It’s such a difference in getting over the top. Imagine they implement a salary cap, we really want this regime around for that?

  5. Nobody is boycotting this team. Yes, they have many, many flaws from top to bottom but we’re not the angels or the pirates. The stadium will still be packed all year and the tv ratings will still be great. They’d have to go on an absolutely insane run of below mediocrity for this to even start becoming a talking point

  6. Yes let’s boycott the team thats competitive every single year (something that maybe two or three other fanbases can say)
