Michael Jordan on if he still loves basketball: “I wish I could take a magic pill, put on shorts and go out and play the game of basketball today, because that’s who I am. That type of competition, that type of competitiveness, is what I live for. And I miss it.”

My goat. THE goat.
I think even if we had MJ on this team we’d still finish low 6-8 in the playoffs lol.
Who has the whole interview?
There needs to be a basketball version of pickleball.
But in the same conversation, he admitted to never playing anymore. I think the love is playing the game for the competition/figuring out how to win. I guess just putting up some shots in the yard is boring.
Serious question is he ok? What is going on with his eyes?
I wish there was a pill that would allow him to play (for the Bulls) again too!
If I can be a dime-store psychologist…he doesn’t have basketball stuff around because he’s concerned it’ll call to him like the Green Goblin mask, and he’ll do something crazy like take on the entire Charlotte Bobcats team when he was near 50 years-old (story is he beat all those bums but needed to spend the entire next day in a ice bath).
Can he suit up tomorrow lol
Dude could probably lace up and be a 8 minute roleplayer on any roster today and contribute in his current condition (his joints and bones would not last a full season though)
Give us a tour of that house!
This seems like a change as mj never talks much. Rarely does interviews.
Not sure how old this is, but it looks like a good interview.
There is mj.. it’s called steroids, peptides, hgh.. you’ll be as fit as LeBron in no time 😂
Imagine if MJ had access to all the modern stuff players nowadays have? Hell imagine if he had all that and took better care of himself, you know not drinking or gambling, to see for how long he could’ve gone. Is it a stretch he would’ve had a similar late career to LeBron? Maybe not as long or as durable, but like at least have him still play at a top 5-10 player level.
The aura around MJ’s voice will never be topped in basketball. When he talks about basketball, it just feels important.
