MAJOR Tennessee Titans Trade Rumors From Dianna Russini & Ian Rapoport
[Music] We are exactly two weeks away from the NFL trade deadline and I can guarantee you that they are going to be a lot and I mean a lot of moves and a lot of teams are going to be buyers and a lot of teams are going to be sellers. Diana Rsini and Ian Rapaort, they dropped a bunch of trade nuggets over the weekend revolving around the Tennessee Titans. Welcome in Titans today by chat sports. I am your host Brett Alper and let’s be honest here. The Tennessee Titans will be sellers at the deadline. They are not going to be looking to trade draft picks to bring in some players to make their team better. They’re going to be doing the exact opposite. They’re going to be going as sellers being like, “Hey, you can have this player. You give us some draft picks. We get the capital. We plan to bat our future.” That’s what the Titans role should be in the trade deadline. If they’re buyers, well, it’s a pretty dumb move. But I’ll ask you guys what you guys will think. Are the Titans going to be buyers or or sellers at the trade deadline? You go in the comments section right now. Type B for buyers or type S for sellers on who do you think is going what do you think is going to be the role of the Titans going in to ne in the last next two weeks. Now, for the next part of the article that Rini had, she also listed a bunch of head coaching candidates for the Tennessee Titans that we could see get some interviews going in next season. You have Matt Naggie with the Chiefs offensive coordinator, which we’ve already talked about him and his ties to the Tennessee Titans. You have Arthur Smith, who also has ties to the Tennessee Titans, but these two guys are also new candidates that I’ve heard of. Lou Armoro Almarumo, I am terrible with names. the two the Colts defensive coordinator and Anthony Weaver the Dolphins defensive coordinator. But with how the Dolphins look right now, do you really want anybody from the Dolphins? No. I’d go with the Colts DC in a heartbeat. Their team looks absolutely incredible. But there’s still only one guy, just one guy on my big board, the only person that I’m looking at as a head coaching candidate that’s not a coordinator, and it’s the former Dallas and former Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy. He just seems like he had would get this culture right with the Titans. You bring in an offensive mastermind. You saw what he did with the Cowboys and Dak Prescott when he became the head coach. He’s worked with Aaron Rogers before. He has a Super Bowl and I think he can take Cam Ward and have him excel and develop into a great quarterback. That would be my top candidate. And here’s what Ian Rapaort had to say about some of the coaching candidates. Tennessee will embark on a methodical, deliberate coaching search that should include some of the top names like Chief’s offensive coordinator Matt Naggie, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, Colts defensive coordinator, former Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, who is mine, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, and others. Now, this is just early speculation. I don’t expect the Titans to go out there and interview these guys. Literally, right now, we’re only week going into week eight of the NFL season. The search will get going once the season ends and we will have full coverage for that and that’s why you subscribe to the channel. But let’s get back to the trade deadline which is a lot closer than all the way down the line in February when the off off season starts. You got the trade deadline November 4th in two weeks on Tuesday. Good teams they usually add players. Bad teams they usually sell for picks. And with the Titans record at 1 and six they are going to sell clear as day. And this confirmed it from Diana Rsini in her report in her article. Titans are open for business on every single player but quarterback Cam Ward and defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons. They are looking to stockpile future picks. And my first thought about that is uh are you surprised? Everybody is on the trade block. Whether it is Calvin Ridley, whether it is Tony Pard, whether it is anybody else except for obviously a couple of the rookies, but if you get a Hall, you’re going to give up a rookies. Everybody on this team should be available for a trade. You’re not looking to go and build your team. You want to get as much draft capital to help this rebuild. What is some player that you’re going to buy in and trade for help your team this season? It’s not going to happen. Your season’s pretty much already over. you got to win 11 straight or 10 straight games to even have a chance to make the playoffs. That’s just not happening. So, you’re going to be a seller. Everybody on this team should be made available. Now, is everybody going to get traded? Obviously, not. And going back to Rapaort, talking about Jeffrey Simmons, because Rapaort and Rini’s uh reporting were slightly similar, if not the same exact. Simmons, still just 28 years old and with two years remaining on his contract after 2025, is likely looking at a massive contract extension this off seasonason in Tennessee when he’s eligible as he is among the pieces to build around for the future along with rookie QB Cam Ward and some others. Simmons is already on his way to a career year with four and a half sacks, which is tied for the most among defensive tackles. He’s got 28 total tackles, eight for a loss, two 23 QB pressures, second most in the NFL for defensive tackles, and a whopping 11 QB hits through six games. He did not play that seventh game. Well, he got hurt in that seventh game against the Patriots, but it’s the most for defensive tackles and tied for eighth most in the NFL. If you’re going to give Jeffree Simmons an extension, he is worth every single penny and he has earned that contract extension. You either do that or you immediately trade him. And if you have a future and if you think this rebuild is going to be quick, if you think it’s going to be a year, maybe two years, and Jeffrey Simmons is still in the prime of his career, you give him that contract extension. If not, you could get two first round picks for him. So, you could obviously kind of trade him, but the Titans, they do not want to do that. They see him as a future piece for this Titans roster in the near future. But we’re not talking about Jeffrey Simmons getting traded, but some other people are getting traded. And it could be anybody on the Titans roster between Cam Ward and Jeffrey Simmons. And if a trade happens, we make a video. Yesterday, Tyler Lockett got cut. It was late at night, like 6:00. I was about to leave the office, but no, I had to make a video for you guys. Get it to you ASAP. And that’s why you subscribe to the channel. Hit that sub button right now. Coming up, we got more Titans rumors. couple of uh pieces from Adam Shfter. All the insiders are doing all the trade rumors and a couple of guys that are specific trade candidates going into that 2025 deadline. But first, I got to tell you about our sponsor of today’s show, and that is Prize Picks. You and I make decisions every single day, but on Prize Picks, being right can get you paid. Don’t miss any of the action this season on Prize Picks, where it’s good to be right. Prize Pix is simple to play. You just pick more or less on two to six player stat projections. You don’t I did not make a picture for it, but I make lineups every single day. And you got to take advantage. You have a couple hours left before basketball season starts and Prize Fix is giving you a max discount for Steph Curry. He just needs more than one point. So get on it right now and then you can choose another two players. Takes 30 seconds. But you got to download the app today and use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It’s good to be right. Now, going back to the Titans trade rumors, there was a lot that was going in and we know that they were guaranteed to be a big big big sellers at the trade deadline. So, Adam Shfter, he listed six Titans players that were specifically on the trade block. And one of them, well, he’s already not a candidate anymore because he was released. You have Tyler Lockett. Then you have Ardan Key. I’ve talked about Ardan Key a lot. I think that he could be a key edge edge depth piece for a couple of other teams. Chicka Coakquo, he’s the tight end. He’s in a contract year and he could obviously help someone. Draymond Jones isn’t on the edge, but once you lost Feiola, I don’t really think you want to trade two edges away. Kevin Zitler is that veteran guy on the offensive line. The offensive line has already had its troubles on his own. And then Roger McCreary, you saw them, they traded Jarvis Brownley Jr. for nothing. It was a dumb, dumb, dumb mistake. But Titans obviously don’t care. They’re looking to trade their quarterback. And you could a nickel corner like Roger McCreer. The Titans, honestly, they should get as many picks as possible. I like all the draft picks that they’ve made so far. I like all the 2025 draft picks. El Manor has been a great pick for them. Then you go and Shamira DK, it’s been a great pick. We haven’t seen much of Fiola Dejo, but I know he’s going to develop. And Kevin Winston is still kind of recovering from that knee surgery last season in college, but I know that he’s going to develop into a great player. You also just have to get as many picks because uh the season’s chocked. It’s done. You’re cooked. It’s over. It’s time to kind of look in the direction of we need to develop Cam Ward. We need to look at the future and we need to go in and get and help his development as much as we possibly can. Look for the future. Look to build off this team in the next two to three years. And there’s one player that I’m looking at to possibly be a trade candidate that wasn’t listed. And I think that he would help another team. And I also think that he’s worth maybe a higher draft pick and it would be Tony Pard. You could see the stats right here. 28 carries or 98 carries, 380 yards, two touchdowns, and 21 his longest run of the season. It hasn’t been good for Tony Pard. Now, the offensive line hasn’t helped him, but he hasn’t really been that star running back that we saw him last year rushing for 1,000 yards receiving. And he also he was the only running back. You missed Taj Spears for the first like four games of the season, five games of the season. And then going in Taj Spears has been a major factor since he has returned. He’s been a major factor. And I’m not saying he’s done much because he’s still kind of recovering back from that ankle injury that he had at the beginning of the season that he suffered in the preseason. But when you look at his stats, like it’s not bad. I don’t know why he’s not getting more carries. He only has 14, but he’s averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Tony Pard is averaging like less than seven or less, sorry, less than four and he also has seven receptions. Taj Spears is kind of your 1A, 1B. Him and Tony Pard are very, very, very, very similar. I think he could be the running back one. When I say they’re similar, they’re kind of like that speed back. It’s not your downhill bulldozing back. They are both that quick guy that can catch passes out the back field. Do you really need two of them? And when Tony Per is also in that contract year, he’s not in the future plans for the Titans. He’s going to leave after this season 110%. And then they’re going to go with Taj Spears as their running back one and maybe get someone in the draft in the future or get someone in free agency. So I think that they should trade Tony Pardock. Now you could get a third round or day three pick if he kind of gets it back going. Maybe you could get a fourthrounder if he looks good in this game on Sunday against the Colts, but it’s going to be hard with right now what Tony Pard is and him in the contract year. It’s going to be hard to get a fourthrounder, but you definitely could get a day three pick. So, I’ll ask you guys, what do you guys think? Would you trade Tony Pard? Would you go with Taj Spears as your number one? Let me know down in the comments. Give me a T for trade or give me a K for keep. Two weeks till the trade deadline and I think we’re going to be seeing some trades very very very soon. So we got you covered here on Titans today. Hit that sub button and as always tighten up. Why not Brian Flores
Arden Key.. To DA BEARS
If you say you would go with Lou, you clearly didn't see him with the Bengals. Terrible option.
