NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Lakers | October 22, 2025 | 2025 NBA Season Live 2K
Heat. Heat. No secret that these teams don’t like each other. Could things get a little chippy tonight? It would not surprise me at all, Kevin. These teams not only fierce rivals, but there’s a little bit of animosity for one another. Throw in the fact that both these teams play in the same conference. Yeah, I’d say the spirits might be high tonight. Now, Golden State’s starting five. Well, there is the four and Green operates as the small ball center. That court pair will be Curry and Pajki. And it’s Moody in at the small forward position. Here’s Curry with the three. Rebounded by the Lakers. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. Hatchima no good down low. Good work defensively by Hatchima. That is some tough defense there against one of the better finishers in our game. Pass to Donic right there. Good for the basket. Starting off one for one with that shot. Creating space. Donis will move defenders around. Curry. Now here’s Moody. Back to Curry from deep. Aim grabs the miss. Lakers have gone two or three here to start off the game. And that one’s good. Touchic. Well, he is looking confident. Love how they’re using him so far. Yeah, when he gets engaged this early in the game, it’s bad news for the defense. He can roll this start throughout the rest of the game. Now, here’s Curry. Pass to Pajki. Four on the shot clock and stolen by LeBron. LeBron takes it off the glass. Nice play. And you can see they’re gathering momentum. Yeah, but they can’t relax. They’ve got to keep building on this lead because it is not safe. Now here’s Curry looking to end the run. And there’s the nice layup by Butler. Signature move by Butler. He’s a slasher by nature. Really goes hard to the R.J. When you talk about Jimmy Butler, he is definitely a tone setter. Yeah, Kevin. In the court and in the line, this man is tenacious. He let you know exactly what he’s thinking. Teams fear him and sometimes his teammates do as well. Let’s check in now with our Ally Leapors who’s got a story for us. Ally. Well, JJ Reick had a few moments to share with me. I asked him about key to the game and he said all rows lead to Steph Curry, in particular his movement off ball. Coach said even when you try to switch, he finds little pockets of space, then he uses that quick trigger to beat closeouts. It’s never an easy matchup. Back to you. Terrific, Adam. We appreciate the report. Well, Richard, you had an interesting view of the start of the Warriors dynasty. Yeah, I was very, very blessed to be a part of that Steph, Clay, and Draymond’s first playoff run back in 2013. Matter of fact, some of the Warrior fans are still mad at me for some missed free throws, but I was 90 years old. Let it go. First free throw is good. What I appreciate most about Green is his leadership. Strong vocally on and off the floor. And both free throws good for Green. And now we’re being joined by our 2K insider, Sean’s Cheranium, who’s calling in with a good story. Sean, what do you have? Well, we saw a transformation with Luca over the summer as he committed himself to getting in the best shape of his life. And a much leaner Luca started showing up in late July, shortly after he recruited Marcus Smart to the Lakers. No doubt about it, guys. Luca has something to prove this season in a big way. You got it. Making the commitment. All right, Johns. We appreciate the report. Free throw good. Reeds R.J. There were questions about the two timeline approaching Golden State, but some of those young guys have made a difference and some haven’t. But those team friendly contracts of those younger players, that’s one advantage and a way to keep that energetic talent around their young stars. Now here’s Butler and the Warriors miss again. Aimura against Butler. Pass to Donic. And the double of Donic from past the arc. Hachimura. No good. And close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage. Oh, that’s blocked. Perfect timing by Hachimura. What a block. Los Angeles leading by 10. Pass to Reeds and the whistle blows on the backward violation. He went over and back. And we got to take a second look to admire that outstanding block. And an early swap like that can really set the tone. Now the shooters will be feeling his presence. They need a bucket in a big way here to regain some confidence. as to Penski. Green the screen and Green slams it in. This is the energy that Green provides. Just flat out refuses to give up on any play. Curry against Donic. And they call the foul. So he’s got the and one chance here to make it a three-point play. So Don J will go to the free throw line and it goes on Draymond Green. And a closer look here at the scoring breakdown for the Lakers. They’ve started the game the right way, penetrating the defense and attacking the rim. They’re just not settling. And also they’ve been draining mid-range jump shots, measuring the defense well and just taking what they give them. That free throw good from Donic. And as the days and months go by, Greg, it still may take us some time to get over the shock of last season’s trade of Luc. We know the question marks as far as conditioning and defense that led to it, but hard to bet against a talent of his caliber. And so Steve Kerr decides to call a timeout. Coach needs a moment to talk things over again. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Green finds Moody outside. Butler takes the three. Rebound the Lakers. Eightton’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Reeves outside. Pass to Aton. Six on the shot clock. The three production. Oh, yes he did. Five up and five down for him so far. I like their focus coming in. Terrific execution so far. couldn’t come up with a much better start than this. They just have to keep it going. Now here’s Moody hopping on the board and that one’s good by Butler. The defense has to make it tougher for Butler. Who can give him that? James outside back to Donic. Lets the three fly and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Well, pass it to Green and it’s Green with the jam. How about the execution inside by Green? He’s excellent at knowing when to attack down low. Pass to Hayden. Here’s Donic. Kills the three-pointer. Donic has got 15 points. Excellent allaround performance so far against the big league. They got off to such a hot start and that can keep you energized throughout the whole game. From 12 ft out, the shot comes out. Warriors trail by 13. Green in the post. He’s covered by eight. That one go. He’s counted. And this is where Green looks to score. He’s comfortable and confident down low. Here’s Don. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Jimmy, it’s on Jimmy Butler. No one saw it coming off a finals appearance. Luca Donic Richard traded to the Lakers. I mean, we’re talking about a fivetime first team allNBA player who was traded at just 25 years old. I’ve never seen it happen before. Expect Luca to have a big chip on his shoulder for the next few seasons. That free throw good from Donic. The allaround game of Donic is impressive. A walking triple double threat every night. And some changes here for the Lakers. Vanderbilt’s checked in for Ruie Hatchimura and Smart subbed in for Austin Reeds. And then for Golden State, Quinton Post is checked in for Butler. Jonathan Kaminga comes in for Moody. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Brandon Pajki. Both free throws good from Donic. And so Curry will bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. Trailing by 13. Heel outside. Buries it from three-point range. You should be looking for healed. What a great pass. Smart dishes to Eightton to the inside. Here’s Donic in close. He hits it. Donic has got 19 points. Unwilling to let up even for a moment. That’s his killer instinct. Just fanning the flame. Well, always plays hard until the final whistle no matter what the situation is. And so Steve Kerr signs to call a timeout. This now will give him a chance to discuss some potential changes. Heat up here. Maxi Clea, he’s checked in for Los Angeles. Number 14. Warriors trail by 12. match up outside. Curry Rose finds Curry and here is he guarded by Donic frames the three and yes he’ll go to the line for one more. It’s on Luca Donic. So, when it comes to the league’s premier three-point specialist, Buddy Heield, R.J. is one name that quickly comes to mind. When Heled is on the floor, his coaches and teammates want him to shoot the ball because when Buddy is dialed in, oh boy, he’s dangerous. Free throw drops for Heel. Guys like Buddy Hill, knock down shooters. They are in high demand around the league. Curry against Smart. Vanderbilt. A screen on Heel. Here’s Donic. The rebound by Heel. Warriors trail by eight. Outside. Curry. Heel sets the pick for Curry. It’s called in by Josh. Alli has run 306% from deep so far tonight. It’s time to send it over now to our reporter Ali Leforce. Thanks, guys. The Warriors have come a long way during the Curry era. Draymond Green said, quote, “We built this thing up from the laughingtock of the NBA.” I take a great deal of pride in that. I think about this organization like it’s mine. If the Warriors win the championship 10 years from now, that’s our championship. Period guys. Okay, thank you Ally. Now here’s Donic following the miss by Jonathan Kaminga and the Lakers with another miss. Warriors trail by eight to Curry. Healed against James. Get there. Get there. Now healed. He has seven. Launches it. offensive rebound. Oh, the offensive rebound with a little extra punch on the put back. You’re right, Greg. As they look to trim the deficit, could we see them send a few more bodies to the boards from here on out? Maybe, just maybe. Here’s Donic. Basket number eight is all good. He’s attempted 12 shots. And it doesn’t take much for Don to get hot. And once that happens, boy, he is almost unguarded. Now here’s Green. He’s got eight. Green with a screen on Donic. He against Donic. He kicks to Green. This one for three. He gets called in by Los Angeles. In the corner, Vanderbilt with it. Good. and Smart gets the assist and it’s an 11-point Los Angeles lead. Yeah, they built up this lead three points at a time. We’ll see if they can keep this pace. Not sure they can win it by relying on just the three. Now here’s Green. Some nice passing by Golden State. He can’t hit. Well, he wanted to return favor there for that last three, but it just wasn’t in the start. and Donic gets it to go. And they have owned the paint so far and the score reflects it. It also allows them to play inside out which will make them even more difficult to defend. Now here’s Curry still yet to score outside. Kuminga Golden State needs to get off a shot. Three-pointer heel not happening with that shot. He’s put up five and made two. Los Angeles leading by 13. Donic with it now. Green defending. Donic passes to clea over Kaminga. Out to Donic. They shoot again and the layup is up and in. Donic has got 25 points in the game. Big miscommunication on defense. He recognizes it and quickly takes advantage. Yeah, they’re going to do a million better job. A little bit of pressure on him on his way to the lead. It’s been all about Luca Donsic for Los Angeles. Going on an absolute rampage, piling in the points. He dictated the pace of the entire quarter. Right back after this break. And welcome back to the second quarter of action. Plenty of basketball left to play, but this one has been one-sided so far. And for the Lakers, this has been the game they wanted to have. Well, when you control the glass, you control the second chance opportunities on both ends. And rebounding numbers sometimes we overlook them, but they can have a big effect on the outcome. So on the floor for Golden State to begin this second quarter, we’ve got Butler He was out there with the Anthony Milton. Then there’s Jonathan Kaminga and it’s post in at the five to the middle. Warriors with the rebound. Kaminga the pass to Milton and here is Butler. He outside good and Butler gets the assist. He’s got the first basket of the second quarter for the Warriors. Quarter number two with just over a minute gone. Inside and the dunk by Vanderbilt. Nice pass by Reeves reading the floor. That’s one of his strengths. And here’s Melton. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. It’s a 14-point game. Greg, last season, the Lakers exceeded expectations by winning 50 games and finishing third in the West. They went on quite a run after acquiring Luca Donic, but they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. As we know, this is an organization judged on championship success. Kept alive. Vanderbilt and the dunk by Vanderbilt. Nothing soft about the put back there. And why chance it, right? Take the dunk if you’ve got it. And that’s his Mo physical. Get in position for the put back and throw it down. The defense got to know that’s what he’s looking to do. Outside Butler. over Vanderbilt and it’s Butler missing. Usually he’s a master in the midi but not that time. Smart passes to Reeves. Butler against Vanderbilt. Smart misses. Warriors trail by 16. Milton with the ball. Good work defensively by Reed. Bast of Vanderbilt. Here’s Lorabia. Still scoreless. Here’s Smart. The shot no good. Golden State’s gone one and two on three-pointers here in the second quarter so far. Here’s Melton. He’s defended by Reeds. Pass to post. Now here’s Melton. Here’s Butler. And the Warriors miss again. Lakers leading by 16. Smart finds Laurabia. And almost four minutes gone here in the second quarter of play. outside for Smart. Here’s Vanderbilt. No good on the shot. Warriors trail by 16. And here’s Melton. Pass to post outside. Butler outside. And again, no good by Golden State. Acres have gone only two of seven from the field since the second quarter got underway. Reeves against Heield. Cleba kicks to Smart. It’s over Melton and the rebound goes to the Warriors. You know what? Just a little fancy on that possession there. Just go up in rhythm. Well, their pass to Melton. Here’s Heel to end the cold streak. Vanderville with the rebound. This is the definition of He’s trying to get himself going, but taking tough shots just won’t do it. Reeves outside. Pass to Labraia. Reeves against Butler. Here’s Cleveland and it’s blocked. Butler dishes to heal. Now post. Leave it defending. Now here’s Butler over Cleba and it comes off the front of the rim. Lakers lead by 16. Smart puts the pick in for outside for Smart. Hands it from downtown. And when Marcus Smart is hitting from deep, it really makes a difference in this offense. It becomes so much more dynamic. And so Steve Kerr decides to call a timeout. Coach is going to talk some things over with the team. Might be seeing something to adjust. Oh my god. Oh my god. And we’ve got a lineup change for the Lakers. Different look here for the Warriors. Green, he’s checked in for Quinton Post. Moody comes in for Kaminga. Pajki, he’s checked in for healed. And Stephen Curry is subbed in for DeAnthony Melton. Warriors trail by 19. Curry pass it to Butler. And you think about the importance R.J. of awareness and basketball IQ. What about players who don’t have that but are immensely talented? Well, they still have to grow their IQ and that can take time because if you make too many mistakes, it will cap your minutes. Donic Green with the block. No matter what night it is, Green seeks to intimidate and more often than not succeeds. Los Angeles making a switch here. Connects. Checked in. Walton connect. LeBron left side. Shot clock at six. LeBron is doubled. Here’s Murray. Number three off target. Warriors trail by 19. pass to Pajki. Golden State moving it around. Curry with a wideopen look. Misses and the dry continues. Shot on the way. Donic. No good. Golden State’s gone to six from three-point land in the second quarter. Less than 20%, but they’ve continued to let him fly. Good. And the assist goes to James. Donic has got 27 points. Guys, you never know what you’ll see when you’re watching Luca Donuch. His offensive creativity is through the roof. Curry. A screen on Himura outside for Curry. Craps in the tray. Curry’s got himself going with the triple. His first basket of the game. Obviously, this guy has a talent for scoring. Able to problem solve for whatever the defense tosses at him. Green against sets the pick for James. There’s the three. The Warriors pull it in. But Jimky’s got rebound number five here tonight. While their passes occur, steps back and fires. That’s short off the rim. Lakers leading by 18. Outside James. Back to Donic to the paint. Here’s Aton. Well timed pass and he goes straight to the bucket for the layup. Eighton’s got his first two points. Just terrific at executing in the paint. Eightton has a nice array of shots to choose from. Pass to Greenler. A screen on Dunic and the basket by Curry. Nice ball movement there. That’s how you break down the defense. The Lakers shooting just 29% in the second quarter. The offense is suffering. Back to Donic. Here’s the three. The Warriors pull it in. Here’s Curry with the three. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got his fourth assist in this one. A three-point specialist can’t let Curry get any space to fire from the corner. That’s a recipe for disaster. Count it. And the Laker lead has been cut down to 11 on the bucket for Moody. And he found the perfect spot behind the arc there. Big gap in the deep. And GA we know coach Steve Cerr has been up front. In order to win, the Warriors need to take and make a lot of green. Well, it’s the superpower of their best player and the arrival of Jimmy Butler has provided some balance, but threes are still their best bet. Pass to Pajki. Lets it go from deep. It’s hauled in by LeBron. James has got five rebounds tonight. Canad with a wide open look. The three-pointer no good. Shocking that he just bricked that one. The defense got real lucky there. Aimsky on the wing. Oh, no. Curry against Aiden. The shot by Curry. No good. Lakers leading by 14. The three for Dunic. No good. And 101 left in the first half. the Gemsky with it. Eightton’s there right side cur. It’s hauled in by Donic. Donic has got six rebounds now in the game. Castle LeBron over Moody. Good on the baseline. J a real threat from the in between area. LeBron wastes no time firing when he gets to that spot. 3 seconds separate the shot clock in game. Here’s Pajki. Now Butler shoots over Himura and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Butler is just hard to guard inside. really good at using his body to create contact against the defense at the basket. The Warriors have yet to miss from the free throw line. They’re three for three. A free throw drop for Butler. A highly talented two-way player. Butler is also known for his tough-nosed approach to the game. So he picks up just one from the line that time. And here’s Tosic from the arc. Yes, and it’s LeBron picking up the assist. LeBron’s got three assists in the game. And so it’s the Los Angeles Lakers holding a big 18-point lead to close the quarter. Their defense has been terrific in this game. And let’s hear from Ally Lefor who joins us from the sidelines. Ally, here with coach Steve Kerr. Your defense struggling to contain them in the first half. How do you remedy it? We got to get back in transition and we got to make them feel us. You know, they’re just running anything they want. We’ve got to at least disrupt the stuff they’re trying to do. Thank you, coach. Hey, we thank you so much for that interview. Don’t go anywhere, folks. We’ll be back with you for the second half of the game right after this. And get ready for the fans cross. They’re measuring up the shot. Give it up for the participant. Heat. Heat. And as we dive into the second half, we’ll find out if the next two quarters are any different from the first two. So far, it has been a runaway. You know, Luca Danic has been exceptional here, guys. Man, he’s been running wild on them through that first half. Absolute dynamite on offense. If they don’t change their approach in the second half, let’s just say his success will continue. So it’s the Warriors now. They trail by 18. Reeves in it. Shooting guard. James is the small forward. Aimura is the four with eight in play in the five. And it’s Donic in at the one. That’s JJ Reick five as we get into the second half. Shot clock at five. Here’s Curry. Got it from 16 ft. Curry’s got 11 points. Nice work from the in between area. Curry has no problem taking this shot when it’s available. And there’s the call. It’s going to be an illegal screen. But when a pick like that is questionable and creates that much of an advantage for the offense, you have to blow the whistle. You got to blow the whistle when it’s that obvious. Great call there by the official. So G8, when you think about Steph Curry’s legacy, he changed the way the NBA game is playing. Man, it is hard to find a player who’s had the impact of a Steph Curry. Making us rethink what is possible. Curry’s endless range has really inspired a generation. Oh, Curry goes inside and just makes a tough shot. Reeves outside. Back to Donic. Pass to Himura. Donic trying to get open. Himura no good. Warriors trail by 14. Green kicks to Curry. And here is Moody. Some nice passing by Golden State. And it’s Green with the jam. There is the allaround game of Butler. A nice assist to cash in on that possession. Pass to Reeds. Here’s Eightton outside offline with his three. The Warriors have gone three of three from the field since halftime. And out of bounds as Los Angeles gains possession. Horrible mistake right there. You hate to see unforced turnovers like that. And we’re just about 2 minutes into the second half now. James, a screen on Kirk. Hon passes to Reeves. The shot’s good on the assist by Donich. Reeves has got six. It’s the confidence of Austin Ree. He just knows what his shot is. Rajenski. The bounce pass to Butler. Not loose. Just five on the clock. And there’s another turnover by the Warriors. Well, we’re into the third quarter. Just over two and a half minutes played. James kicks to Hatchima. It’s tipped. outside. Pass to Hatchima. LeBron outside shoots the three. Warriors with the rebound. Butler’s got four rebounds in this game. We’re now joined by our sideline reporter Ally Leforce. Ally, it’s all yours. Thanks, Kevin. Jimmy Butler is the complete package. Coach Steve Kur said he’s an amazing player. his skill, strength, the ability to get to the line. His passing connects the game. And in the end, it goes beyond that. Just his presence out there. He’s a lion. He’s a force. Back to you, Kevin. One of the best for sure. All right, Ally. Thank you for the report. That free throw missing. And for two seasons running, Richard, the Lakers have bowed out in the first round. How do they change that and go further? Well, now they’ve been able to balance this roster a little better, adding some size up front. That was something that really hurt them last year against the Wolves. He doesn’t get the second one. And you look at the addition of Jimmy Bummer, GA. Why has he been such a fit for the Warriors? He really is an unselfish, high IQ superstar. And that’s what the Warriors are all about. And and his isolation interior scoring has given them another look offensively. Second half here. We’re just over 3 and 1/2 minutes into it. Butler kicks to Green. And again, no good by Golden State. Los Angeles leading by 15. And it’s Murray in the corner. Eightton against Green. Eightton dishes to LeBron. Fires for three. Warriors with the rebound. Green’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Pass to Moody. Curry outside. Stephen Curry. What a shooter. And this is the game plan for him. He’s a big part of their floor space. Yeah. And you got to know where he is at all times, especially when he’s rolling around the perimeter ready to fire. The three for Dunic. And they’ll get another chance. Puts up a three. They get it again. And that one’s good. Eighton. Eighton’s got his second basket of the game. Asserted basketball. Aton getting after it on the offensive glass, using his size to his advantage. Pass to Penski. Outside Butler down to five on the shot clock and the slam by Moody. And I got to say sort of surprising he goes for a slam that difficult when they’re trailing. Mhm. But still a magnificent move to the rim. And so Donic will bring it up for LA. Their biggest lead of the game was 21. And so JJ Reick will call a timeout. Looking for a breather and maybe adjusting a thing or two. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Here’s Reeves. He has six. James finds Reeves. Now Hatchima. Pass to James. Pocket six. Back to Hatchima. No good on the triple. Warriors trail by 12 outside. Butler Green with a screen on Hi Mura and Green slams it in. Well, they’re getting stops and they’re attacking on the offensive end. All the momentum seems to be running in their favor. They’re close to taking the lead. Eighton with the bounce pass. Reeves outside. Three-pointer and again no good by the Lakers. The Warriors have gotten six of their seven shots to go down in this court. What a fantastic start to the half. Curry outside and James pulls it down. Lakers lead by 10. And the ball out of play. The Warriors will inbound. Smarts checked in for Austin Reed. And the Warriors also making a change. Honey heel. He’s checked in for Moody. On offense here are the Warriors. They’re on a 13-5 run. Pass to Green. Now heel from outside the arc. Rebounded by DeAndre. is not a guy you want to allow open lifts in the range. Lucky for what a slam. Oh, what a finish. Ruri showing off that athletic ability. Healed outside. Here’s Curry. Wow. Magical moves inside from Steph Curry. No settling for an outside shot there. They went right to the hoop. LeBron outside a screen on Heel. Over healed and the Lakers take on two more. If you’re the defender, what do you do there? How do you really play LeBron in the pick and roll? At over 40 years old, Richard, the way LeBron James is still able to impact the game is absolutely incredible. And just for context, through NBA history, the averages for a player once he turns 40 are six points and three rebounds. LeBron is blowing that out of the water. Green passes to Curry outside. Butler beyond the arc. Good. And Curry gets the assist. Butler’s got it back down to single digits for the Warriors. Shot IQ has always been a strength for Butler. He He’s not one to force up a bad shot. And so JJ Reick will call a timeout. He’s going to take a few moments here to check in with his team and regroup. Heat. Heat. and changes here for the Warriors. Quinton Post is checked in for Butler and Kaminga subbed in for Brandon Pachki. Los Angeles leading by nine. Benson on the wing guarded by Curry. Benson with it. Clea with a screen on Curl. Pass to Cleba. Just four to shoot. Sinks the triple. Clea’s got himself on the board with three there. When he has enough space, he’s more than comfortable letting it fly from outside. Now post. Now here’s Curry defended by Vincent. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. What a response from Curry. Got to know he’s coming for his revenge. Pass to Labraia. Back to Vincent. The Lakers need to get a shot off here. Reeves can’t hit. And if they know what’s good for them, that’s the way they’ll defend against him every time he takes the ball on the three-point lane. Spins pass to Vincent. Greavves with the screen on Kaminga. Here’s Vincent. The rebound by Heel. And here’s healed. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. Nine-point game outside curve. Off the mark there with a three-point shot. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Here’s Vincent. And a lot of contact on that one. So, he’ll shoot two here. Well, Gabe Vincent is a combo guard, RJ, who provides stability at both ends of the floor. Gabe’s a smart player. He’s comfortable playing on or off the ball, and he’s a tough defender who can guard at the point of attack. Two shots. A free throw drops for Vincent. Off on that one. So he goes one for two at the line. And so the ball’s out of bounds. Vanderbilt touched it last. You know what to do. You talked about adjustment. So let’s execute. Warriors trail by 10. 137 left in the third. Reeves against Heield. Golden State moving the ball around. Four on the clock. The three. Vanderbilt with the rebound. Vanderbilt’s got rebound number five here tonight. Here’s Vincent. comes outside. Back to Vincent and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Clearly a foul and some stats here, guys. The scoring breakdown for the Lakers. Oh, they’ve been punishing the inside defense consistently in this one. Look, it’s been a very productive area of the floor for them and they’ve really been able to get out in transition and produce. The defense hasn’t had an answer for this uptempo pace. Good. And the first one at the line is good. The Warriors making a switch here. Santos has checked in. That one falls. So, he hits both of them. 55 seconds left here in the third quarter, guys. They’re looking for a way to score here. Yeah, they’ve had a tough time taking the lid off. There’s the pick. Come on. Healed bounce pass. Kaminga the pass to Santos. Fires it up. And the Warriors miss again. Lakers leading by 12 on the wing. Reeds. Sixsec difference between shot and game clock. Screen by Cleo. Vincson misses. Now, here’s Heel. Defended by Vincent. Lets it go with a three. And that’s good. Buddy Heield for three. Heels’s got 13. And that’s going to do it for the third quarter. Lakers lead by nine. 2K Sports back in a moment here in Los Angeles. And while we can now, let’s take a look at today’s State Farm assist of the game. Yeah, an easy choice tonight. Look at the precision on this pass. Put it on a platform. You’ve got to admire the vision just as much as the accuracy. Not many players can even spot that pass. And with three quarters behind us, let’s see what this fourth period holds in store for us on the court for Golden State here in the fourth. Race Jackson Davis out there with Jonathan Kaminga. Then it’s Heel. Then it’s Butler. And it’s Post in at the center position. And here is Heel to the middle. Here’s Butler. fires the three. The shot no good. And as long as he keeps missing from deep, the D will keep letting him fire away. He’s just off from range right now. On the wing, Reed defended by Buffalo. Pass to Labia. Here’s Vanderbilt. A three off the mark. And here’s Heel. They’ll bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. They trail by nine points. I like how Field meets the defense with energy inside pushing his shot through the foul and getting it in the air. Wolf Money Hill taking two shots. Shooting two. And the first one comes Alton Connect. He’s checked in for the Lakers. And the Warriors also making a change. Santos has checked in. No good on the second free throw. Los Angeles leading by eight and Quinton Pose gets the whistle that time. Oh, and that’ll be his third foul so far. First team foul. Fourth quarter. Still young. Just over a minute play. Florabia with the screen. Greavves drives in. shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Reeves is such a shifty player. Sneaky, athletic, and very skilled at drawing fouls. The line for the Lakers. Austin Reeves taking two shots. Free throw good. Reeves and no matter what, one of the big positives they can take away from this game is how well they’ve performed at the line. Miss that misses. So he splits the free throws. I don’t think there’s a team out there that doesn’t want a player like Austin Reeves. This is a guy who is willing to sacrifice on both ends of the floor. Butler up top. Defended by Vincent. Six to shoot. Back to Jackson. Davis. Fires from deep. Vanderville with the rebound. Vanderville’s got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Bounce pass from Reeds. Now Vincent pass to Labraia. And it’s off from three-point range. Healed outside. Here’s Santos. He’s defended by Reed. He with a screen on Vanderbilt. Right. Butler against Vanderbilt. And it’s Butler missing. Los Angeles leading by nine. And over two and a half minutes in the books here in the fourth. Back to Vincent. Vanderbilt. A screen on Heel. The Trey. It’s connect on the wing and a miss there on the triple. And they had some botched coverage that turned into no coverage. Healed outside. Pass to post. Jackson Davis with it. Shot by Heel. Nobody around. Good on the triple. Heels got four points in the quarter. And perimeter scoring. I have to imagine it was a topic of discussion at halftime. And you see this so much more nowadays in the NBA. Teams putting a larger emphasis on jacking up. hits it from three-point range and the Lakers lead by nine. Always ready to put the team first. Reeves wants the ball in the hands of the most ready. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. Wants to make sure everybody’s coordinated and intent. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Maxi Clea is checked in for the Lakers. Luka Dows comes in for Austin Reed. And let’s go to the sideline. Here’s Allen. During that break, coach Steve Kerr had some advice for the team. He said to them, “You guys look defeated out there. Wake up. This game is far from over, but I need you all to believe that. I need you to fight for one another right now.” Allie, thank you so much. Heel kicks the button. A three-pointer off the mark. And so Donic will bring it up for the Lakers here in the fourth. His four points. He’s a bit undersized for four. He more than makes up for it with his pass. Curry deciding where to go with it. Five on the clock. Baseline jumper. Rebound to Lakers. And the defense was right on him there. Nice contest. Pass to Vincent. Back to Donic. Here’s the screen. It’s connect on the wing. Jacks up a three. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. right here. Second chance shot rebounded by the Lakers. Vanderbilt’s got the glass covered here tonight. 11 boards for him. Vincent the pass to Vanderbilt. Lakers working the ball around now. Pass to Donic over healed. Donic. No good. Warriors trail by 11. Here’s Curry. Three-pointer. Butler. Butler missing again. Nothing seems to be going his way this quarter. Yeah. Straight up, guys. Like he’s ice cold. Like freezing. Looks colder than cold. But you don’t have to shoot it, my guy. It’s okay to pass the ball. Now here’s Curry defended by Vincent. The three is good and he got fouled in the active shooting. This could turn into a four-point play. You love how physical Green is willing to get. Enduring the foul and finding the bottom of the bucket. Big group substitution here for the Lakers. Eaton. He’s checked in for Maxi Cleba. Hatchimura comes in for Vanderbilt. LeBron’s checked in for Dalton Kat. And it’s Austin Reeves in for Vincent. Golden State also making some changes. Moses Moody, he’s checked in for Quinton Post and it’s Brandon Pajki in for Heel. So, it’s the Lakers now given up just eight points in the fourth quarter and JJ Reic is called timeout and he wants to see some changes out there right away and right now. Everyone, let’s hear your Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Here’s Reeves. Hon LeBron. Rebound by Butler. Butler’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. fades away and the Warriors miss again. Great contest by the defense and he’s unable to hit that tough fade away. No one near Donic as he lets it fly. A three-pointer is right on target. Donic has got 33 points outside. Butler inside. Here’s Pachky. Reeves with the rebound. I thought he had that all sewn up, but somehow the defense just threw him off. James looking it over. Hatchimal. No good from outside. Warriors trail by 10. Brain the screen. Here’s Pachki. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Enzo Donic will bring it up for Los Angeles. Their biggest lead of the game was 21. gets the three-pointer to fall and the defense has to be aggressive with Luca from range. Give him any space and he is looking to pull to Curry. The kick outside to Butler looking to end his spell and it’s blocked. Reeves into the lane. Here’s LeBron. Reeves the pass to Himi Murray. Now here’s Green with the block. Butler finds Curry. Green with a screen on Donic. Back to Butler. Six on the shot clock. And it’s Eightton with the rebound. Eighton’s got nine rebounds in the game. getting it done. LeBron passes to Hatchima. Misses from short range. Warriors trail by 13. Guys are looking for a spark here. Yeah, a cold stretch offensively for sure. Give credit where credit is due right there. A terrific assist. Lakers shooting in this fourth quarter pretty dire at 27%. James no good from three. Oh man, for whatever reason he can’t get it going from three and he’s pretty good from there. The three goes down. Draw them in and kick it out. Great execution to open up an easy look from outside. Luca making it look so easy in zone. And Sean, he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve there. Don’s handles are very impressive. Here’s Green. Good. Lays it right in there. Man, giving up some inches inside, but makes up an aggressive style. Yeah, you can give up some size, but that shows you how fearless he is. willing to attack the basket no matter who is in front of him. Draymond Green, one shot. One shot. Free throw drops for Green. Guys, it’s a good chance for them to slow it down. Yeah, they definitely should use some clock here. Baiting a screen on Curry. It’s stolen by Green. Now Curry. Clever move by Curry. Taking the foul but still getting shot. The fourth team shooting for Golden State. Stephan Curry taking two. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Good on the first and that turns the lead to six. What you appreciate most about Curry is his confidence, especially when it comes to how far he can connect from. And both free throws good for Curry. Nice work there. This is a point in the game where if you get a chance to close the gap, you’ve got to make the most of it. Eighton a screen on Curry. Now, no good. Even though he’s undersized, he’s making an impact on the glass. Looking fearless right now. Curry is inside by Donic. And there’s the whistle. 3sec violation. Los Angeles leading by five. Eight and a screen on Kirk. Now James. Here’s Hachimura. The long shot. No good. Green against Reeds. Now here’s Green. Defense right on. It’s good. Oh, you just love seeing a player with absolutely no fear. He knew what they needed here and was determined to deliver. LeBron outside. Offensive struggles continue missing again. Here’s PMski. He’s defended by Reed. Curry outside to tie it up. Curry cooks him up inside. When it is crunch time and you’ve got Stephan Wordell Curry, the game plan is simple. Get him the ball. And JJ Renick is called timeout. Pivotal moment in this game. He’s not taking any chances. He’ll call time. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Their biggest lead of the game was 21. About 7 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. There has been nothing for him this quarter. Ever since halftime, he’s lost all of his time. just five to shoot good and not efficient in that first half, but but they have really picked it up here. The shots that weren’t falling earlier are finally finding the bottom of the net. And JJ Reick is called timeout. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game. and he wants to be prepared. What do you think we’re going to see here? And they tweak and can take a knee here and hope for the win if they want to. I think they’ll try and send it to overtime. The defenders don’t want to foul in this situation. So you should be able to get a good look inside. You know when they came to save me never even if we were saving turning too much on the court you quick Yeah. Oh yeah. in the face. You know when they came to save me now I’m leaving the same thing too much on the court you can’t qu Reeds fires. He’s off from three. So, it’s a narrow victory for the Warriors. Pulling out the W. They break the hearts of every fan in the building with a dramatic late victory. And Kevin, this is the kind of win you have to take a ton of pride in. I mean, they battled with everything they had and came through when the pressure was at its highest.
