EVERY HIT by George Springer so far this Postseason! πŸ’ͺ (Four home runs, 9 RBI in 11 games! πŸ”₯)

In terms of the position player side, there is no one even close really with the playoff experience that George Springer has in his career. This is his eighth trip to the postseason in his career. He’s played 67 playoff games. Springer with a drive deep left center field and yet another home run for the Blue Jays here today. It’s an even dozen on the board right now. Springer’s first hit in the series is a long ball. 32 home runs during the regular season for George and he jumped on that first pitch from Will Warren. And the Blue Jays are putting it on the Yankees. 12 runs on 12 hits. [Applause] That is George Springer’s 20th career postseason home run. He has played in 69 postseason games now and he has always loved the big stage. He shines bright on the big stage. The Blue Jays are outscoring the Yankees 19 to nothing in a seven inning span. Springer porks one left center field that’s headed for the seats. It’s gone. Springer’s first hit of the postseason is a home run. A dozen for the Blue Jays. It’s the 20th of George Springer’s postseason career. Now George Springer who homered his last time up and he might have done it again. knew it’s off the wall on his way to second and in there with a two out double. Cody Bellinger, we mentioned he’s got a bad heel and he didn’t run very well as that ball was hit off the wall. This he’s really very careful in how he’s running in the outfield, but he bruised his heel running the bases in the Boston series. That is down the line and a fair ball and extra bases for George Springer to begin game four. Springer, who the Yankees have bottled up, has a double to start this ball game. An instant stress on Cam Schlitler and he rips it on a line. Fair ball down the left field line, bouncing into the corner. Springer around first and he will cruise into second with a leadoff double. Just the start the Blue Jays wanted. How about that swing from George Springer? He got the mistake. Took a good fast ball off the plate at 97 miles an hour. Then he got the mistake on the inner third and he didn’t miss it. He ripped that thing just fair. Springer rips a ball to center field. Gisham is over to make the catch. Clement heads for the plate and the Blue Jays have retaken the lead. Sacrifice fly from George Springer. It’s hard to describe. I mean, these guys don’t quit. This team never quits. Day in and day out, you fight. It’s just it’s such a special group and I’m so proud of everybody. Oh, the wind from the right is pitched to George Springer. He’s hit high. Whitefield indeed. Turn it around. Rose Arena. He got it. It’s gone. First pitch. Palmer. George Springer. Ambush 97 right on the outside edge. And yet he smashed it the opposite way into the right field bullpen. One- nothing Blue Jays in the first. New series. Same story for this Blue Jays offense. One catch in. It’s one to nothing with the first leadoff home run in Blue Jays postseason history yesterday. leading this one off against Gilbert. Setting the drive down center field is back. It is off of the line and it hits the bases for Springer again sparking this Toronto offense and bringing this crowd right back into the knuckle curve ball or at least that breaking ball that he has not been able to get to turn the turn the corner on and that’s flat in the zone again. [Applause] Two outs, bases empty. Top of four. And the pitch to George Springer. He’s drilled center field and deep. Going back. Rodriguez. Warning track wall. Out of here to a chorus of booze. George Springer comes around third and home. A solo homer. And it’s 62 Blue Jays in the top of the fourth. Well, George Springer is known to ambush first pitch fast balls. He got a first pitch fast ball about thigh high right down the middle and he hammered that thing over that fence in center field. What a swing from him and an important run for the Toronto Blue Jays. Springer off the end of the bat to right field. That’s going to find a hole. Springer throws on the brakes as Ro gets it over the cut off man. We’re first and third with nobody out looking for more. George Springer steps up. First pitch he sees is lined into right center field. That’s down for a base hit and amid the showers of booze. Springer is three for six. Kind of FF is in scoring position. Springer’s up. Yanked to left field. That’s headed for the corner. Extra bases for George Springer. Conor F is in to score and it’s four to one Jays. Make it look simple. Get him on. Get him over. Get him in. And it’s the bottom of the order that sets things up. Really all year. George Springer has been an incredible spark for this Blue Jays team. He launches a fly ball to left center field. It’s carrying well. Rodriguez watches it hit off the wall and watches the scoreboard change to 1-1. Three batters after Bryce Miller leaves the game. George Springer doubles home the tying run against Matt Brash. Breaking ball right there down the middle and Springer thinks he might have got it. And he knew he had enough time if he didn’t to get to second base. Blue Jays do it again. The low pitch high fly ball left field. A Rose Arena. Watches it go. George Springer has his Jose Bautista moment. This one deeper into the playoffs. This one could send him to the World Series. It’s not the World Series, but if Joe Carter had that jacket, he’d be wearing that jacket. Now, that jacket has had the biggest moment of the year.

George Springer has been fantastic for the Blue Jays in the Postseason thus far, helping to lead Toronto to the World Series with four home runs and nine RBI between the ALDS against the Yankees and the ALCS against the Mariners.
