Fletcher – Suzuki deal for 1 year

  1. Seems like this is do or die for this front office. Anything outside of a playoffs finish means Perry and all his group(which Suzuki was already apart of) are gone.

  2. The fans need to do something. Boycott Opening Day if needed. This is an insane way to run an organization. Nothing will change until Arte feels the heat.

  3. Arte is setting up the team for a sale after the new CBA. He doesn’t want any long term commitments that could make it harder to sell.

  4. Essentially a “prove it” deal. But also what if he gets fired mid-season? This is the last chance for Perry.

  5. Which bench/hitting/pitching coaches are going to want to join the staff of a manager/GM on one year deals?

  6. Every time there’s a press conference and the person thanks Arte Carol and John Carpino, it feels like we’re in North Korea and they’re thanking Kim Jong Un.

  7. No wonder Pujols didn’t sign. Not that I was or not advocating for him, but this makes sense now.

  8. This is both objectively the funniest, saddest, and best thing all at once.

It’s clear 2027 is going to be the year to clean house

  9. Probably minimum wage too. Suzuki just wants something on his resume. Who in the right mind would want to work for this organization?

  10. So… we’re looking forward to another shit year where no one cares and our owner doesn’t give a fuck because he’s running the club like a slumlord demanding more money every single year, but doing nothing to improve conditions?

    Fuck Arte.

  11. Arte’s gonna Arte. This is the second time in four years that they’ve given out a one-year contract to their manager. Zero stability within the org.

  12. If you’re allowed to bet total wins, I might bet (for the first time ever) the under for season wins next year, and that way i have something to keep some interest in watching the season.

  13. Mr. Suzuki is going to take this team to the promised land. Trust the process Halo fans

  14. Sounds like we aren’t signing any free agents beyond 1-year deals this offseason. Next year is going to be unbearable to watch.
