Probably because he’s playing in Russia. So there is a few different factors, theres a significant language barrier, theres not a lot of English language KHL coverage and game commentary is in Russian, time difference means that people are either asleep or at work when games are on. Also the KHL isn’t aired here, so you have to know the pirate websites that have it.
I actually watch quite a bit of KHL, though I don’t watch a ton of Metallurg games outside of the highlights on youtube

He’s mentioned on CHGO almost daily. Powers has posted clips, Bamford has posted clips . . .
I would say its cause he’s in the KHL and not actively on our roster but Demidov was talked about a lot before heading to Montreal
its a lot harder to follow the russian prospects unless you make a good effort
He’s a second round pick. Demidov was a high first-rounder. First round picks always get the buzz
