Brewers Manager Pat Murphy Congratulates Dodgers On World Series Berth, Shohei Ohtani’s Performance!

Obviously not the ending you wanted. I mean, what’ you say to the guys in there just about the season as a a whole here? I mean, we’ve uh we’ve talked about being an inch from the top and an inch from the bottom and uh you know, we faced u a really really talented team that played really really good. We were part of tonight an iconic, you know, maybe the best individual performance ever in a postseason game. I don’t think anybody can argue with that. Guy punches out 10 and hits three homers. Um, I’m really proud of our team. I admire our team. Enough has been said. The narrative has been said many times, but um you know it came to an end tonight to a team that is not only talented, played great. And we’ve talked a lot about the pitching and you just mentioned how many pitching performances they had in this series. What did you make your offense? Was it their pitching? Was a little bit of everything. Just what’ you see from the offense over the four games? So since the beginning of time in baseball when you’re you have dominant pitching on the mile throwing 98 to 100 every guy and uh with tremendous offspe pitches the command they showed Will Smith deserves a ton of credit. Um yeah I said it was dominant pitching. If you want to say our offense I think most offenses would struggle you know. Go here in the front row Sophia Murf. When you think about this team and, you know, some of the performances you got from the young guys, right? Guys like Chad and Miz and Caleb. Um, what what do you want them to take away from this season and and the experience of the DS and playing against a team like the Dodgers? Yeah, I mean it’s it’s a great experience. Um, but that’s where you got to go. That’s why the little things matter. That’s all the things we harp on matter because we don’t have as big a margin of error when you don’t you’re not your team is not filled with the same amount of talent. So, um we learn a lot from it. We had a lot of young players. You mentioned Durban, you know, uh Cheerios in his second year. Um you know, he looked pretty comfortable the whole series. So, it’s uh yeah, a lot of good things. Chad Patrick, Miz, a lot of guys stepped up. So, um, excited about that for them. They have experienced this. They’ve seen it firsthand. They know how precious it is. Um, you lead the league in in wins and you do some great things for the franchise, but still, you know, there’s there’s work to be done. So, the emotional series and the Cubs is you guys have to know the Brewers Cubs thing well. you have to have been part of it to understand how it really zapped um a lot out of us emotionally and then to have to come back and play right away. Um I think and then we lose a one-run game and it just takes us off us. It took us off it a little bit and then the pitching performances by the Dodgers uh you know basically uh put the hammer down. questions back here to Paul Murf. Not a lot of free agents. I mean, this is pretty much the team you could run back with next year. How do you feel about that? And how much you looking forward to getting another shot at it with largely the same group? Yeah, I mean, uh, we’ll see. You know, you say that, but that’s not just how it always works. But um right now we just have to sit back and look at our health and make sure guys are getting healthy, guys that need offseason um procedures and things to get done uh can stay healthy. Uh we give them a plan of attack going forward. And uh yeah, I mean I love the guys. I love I love what they bring to the table. I love their possibilities um going forward. Um but like every year we’ll look we’ll look at a little different for sure. Any more questions for Pat? All right, Pat, thank you for coming in and congratulations on a great season. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Thank you, guys.

  1. All things considered they did great, yes they got swept but considering they basically only had two healthy starters and a bullpen that was gasping for air, they limited us considerably, much respect. Rest up brew crew, see you next year 💙 nothing but respect from a dodger fan, especially since pat didn’t chicken out and walk sho’ after the first HR

  2. Congrats to them but all dodger haters were expecting them beat L.a bcuz regular season ..difference is brewers great talent but not built for playoffs .missing few battle tested guys on field n maybe a starting pitcher

  3. Brewers have nothing to be ashamed of. They simply ran into a team filled with guys with something to prove.
Glasnow and Edman were both traded away by their teams because they weren't thought to be worth it.
Max and Teoscar were both let go by their teams. Snell is carrying bad memories from his time with the Rays. Mookie was determined to prove himself at short.
And they all are pushed harder to prove they're not riding Ohtani's coattails.

  4. Good job, Brewers! You showed grit and utmost respect for the game. You are also lucky with Pat Murphy — Willing to learn from a great game and build the strength from this battle —- love Pat always.

  5. As a Dodger fan, I have a lot of respect for you and your team, Pat. You guys played great baseball, and Congrats to the Brewers for a heck of a season. 🙏👍⚾️

  6. Murphy Manager of the yr. Game 4 was historical. The other games were win able….Brewers didnt show up and they know it. Poor way to end a magical tho over achieving Brewers season. Brewers fans will never see another World series…..this is as close as its gonna get.

  7. Pat Murphy is Pure Class Forever. Perhaps he is, and he will continue to be the best coach in MLB. Cheers to Pat Murphy and his amazing Milwaukee Brewers.

  8. Much respect to the Dodgers fans for showing love to our “Average Joe” Milwaukee Brewers. You don’t see respect like this comment section much in sports or on YouTube. I tip my hat to you all. 🫡I can’t wait to see what the Brewers accomplish next year!

  9. The Brewers went cold at the wrong time while the Dodgers were on a hot streak. Starting Sept 7, the Dodgers went 29-6. Will the week off until the next game, will the time off cool them down? The Brewers batted .118. The Dodgers ERA was 1.00. The Brewers are a very good team. A average team does not win 97 games.

  10. Backhanded compliments after putting our team down just because our Owners are willing to spend what the generate on the players..
    Well little Patty…
    Pat This!!! Triple H style
