Didn’t match size

  1. Not one minute of Jovic, Ware and Bam together even against a team that plays as big as the magic, makes no sense. Also Spo can’t do this year with Wiggins like he did with Rozier. Wiggins isn’t the defender he once was.

  2. Really disagree with Brady here.

They rebounded well against a great and big rebounding team for most of the night. You trust the guys who got you there to continue doing what they did well. Ware did not play well enough to justify playing him at the end of the game. He wasn’t even good at being tall this game beyond a single lob threat moment. It’s debatable that his size would have even solved anything. Carter probably moves him out of the way in the same position. And given his struggles on both sides of the ball tonight it’s just as likely he causes even more problems.

The game isn’t lost if they did a better job of taking care of the ball. 7 brutal momentum killing turnovers to close the game just doesn’t cut it.

  3. Yeah, having Bam out there as the lone big when they are playing the the 6’10” trio of Wagner, Carter, and Banchero was pure genius by Spo. I’ll never understand why he puts the team at such a disadvantage with the small ball lineups. The man is obsessed with it. I know it’s the first game of the season, but this is a constant issue with Spo. Sadly, I doubt it changes anytime soon.

  4. To be fair – the no call on suggs clear pivot foot travel before he made the bucket was what killed us. But Brady is also right

  5. I am straight up gonna stop watching if I have to watch bam fking struggle to fill all the gaps in small ball again

It’s just not fking worth it. It can be a deadly lineup but not for whole seasons. I always said we’ve been forced into it in the past but now it’s just fking malpractice
