Chicago Blackhawks | Frank Nazar Post Win Interview!

How’ you guys bounce back after giving up the the late goal to tie it? Honestly, I thought it was great. Um, you know, staying pretty levelheaded the whole game. Um, having a lead there and giving them giving up one at the end and you know, staying with it and going in overtime with stuff that we’ve worked on since our last loss and um, you know, learning from that and just being better. So, really kept a level head. You were pretty active on that goal shift. What what can you kind of walk us through like I guess from stopping the puck at the blue line play through? Um yeah, I mean I mean I don’t really remember the full play right now. I got to relax a little bit but uh Donald made a great play getting at the blue line taking ahead to make a play and uh Kaiser joined up on the rush. Had a good shot. Really just stopping at the net for um for those greasy goals and we knew it was going to be a hard one to get and something that was going to be greasy right there and just how it went. What were the lessons learned from overtime on Friday? I think just better changes. Um, changing with the puck really. Um, really it’s puck is gold and you know take take advantage of it when you have it and uh don’t give it away. You came off pretty quick on that first shift. Is that part of the planes cuz Conor got out there for like 2 minutes? Yeah. I mean I figured it was a good time to change. You know, we end up losing the puck there and then they end up coming down on us and we had a fresh body out there and it I mean who knows could have helped if um if it was him instead of me. What does a win like this mean when you have days off before you play again? Feels great. I mean, I’m sure you can tell by all of our reaction when the puck went to the back of the net. We we’re jumping for joy and um just feels good to get a good overtime win at home. There were a couple stretches where got a little loose. How nice was it having Spencer Knight in the back end you guys? Yeah, he was he was great tonight. It’s I mean, every time he’s in that, you just know he’s going to be good um like something you can count on and he’s he’s a brick house, you know? I mean, just saves everything and um you know, it feels us or it lets us feel more confident to go play off ice. We still got to do a lot better job of of helping him out and and being there for him cuz uh he does he does a lot for us. You guys were fighting uphill in the second period and then third period did really well. What was the message here? Say that again. Sorry. You guys were kind of fighting uphill in the second period there. In the third he kind of dominated. What was the message in there? Honestly, I think it was just stay out of the penalty box. Um it’s hard to get stuff going and some momentum and we’re constantly going five on four killing penalties penalties and uh once we’re able to go with with our linemates and and with each other and build momentum it gets a lot
