🚨Miami Dolphins Make SIGNIFICANT Roster Move🚨
[Music] The Miami Dolphins were extremely busy today with a pair of roster moves and it was all dealing with the tight end position. We’ll break down the latest on the Dolphins in today’s show. I am Nick Rolloff. This is Dolphins today by chat sports. But if you were not aware, Darren Waller suffered a pec injury this past Sunday against the Browns and it was very much up in the air in terms of how much time he would miss. A tear of that pec would be out for the year. Strain he would be out but be eligible to return. Well, Mike McDaniels said Waller would be weak to week but with a bunch of games in a short time frame over the next four weeks for the Dolphins. They place Darren Waller on IR which means he will be out for a minimum of four games. That is week eight against the Falcons, week nine against the Ravens, week 10 against the Bills, and week 11 against the Commanders. And then the Dolphins have a buy in week 12, which would give him potentially five weeks to return for that week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints coming out of the Dolphins buy. More coming up here in a second. But shout out to these five. The first commenter club on the video we put out this morning. Mark Orbit, Scott, Richard, and MC Gaming. Oh, we’re locked into our Wednesday morning trade rumor video. We put out two videos every day. Go live three times a week. So, subscribe and turn on notifications to never miss a video that we put out or a live stream because we have you covered on the Miami Dolphins every day, even when they stink. Let’s get that current number up. Join the family. But Darren Waller is a big loss for Miami because well he was simply put the number one target for Tua in the red zone when he played for the Dolphins the last month of the year. Now we could honestly be real here and say yeah these are his stats through the four games he played but it was really only three because Waller only played in about 12 14 snaps this past week against Cleveland before he got hurt and left the game. So, he really had the 10 catches, 117 yards, and four touchdowns in his first three games for the Miami Dolphins. And I know some fans will be out there saying, “Who cares? This actually is going to help us be worse to maybe impact our draft spot in this upcoming draft.” And I don’t disagree with that. It isn’t great, though, but that Miami is not going to have Waller as a weapon. He has been a huge target on third downs and he has really threatened opposing defenses in the red zone. So Miamiy’s offense is certainly going to take a hit in terms of its efficiency in money downs and obvious passing downs. We saw how dominant he was in the red zone against the Jets and how effective he was against the Panthers as well. It’s going to be unfortunate that Waller who looked good in the first three games of the season is going to miss the next four games at minimum. Now to replace Darren Waller on the Dolphins 53man roster, Chris Greer and Mike McDaniel signed Greg Doulich to the 53man roster. A move that I have been pining for for a long time and one that I wanted to happen early in the season. If you were subscribed and watched our content, I said consistently with Darren Waller out, hey, let’s add Greg Doulich. Hey, let’s bring him up from the practice squad to the 53man on a week- toeek basis when Waller was not on IR but wasn’t playing. He now is tight end three on this roster behind Julian Hill and Tanner Connor. So, Miami sticking with three tight ends on the 53man roster. And if I’m going to be honest, I I I’m excited about Doulich, man. Like, I just said it. I wanted him earlier on the 53 man. I think it’s about time he got the call up. He was phenomenal for the New York Giants in the preseason and I think he is the most talented passcatching tight end. Miami has currently with Darren Waller out. Waller has been fantastic. But if you had to ask me which tight end was the best receiving threat between Connor Doulich and Julian Hill, I’m probably going to answer Greg Doulich. And we’ll have more on him coming up in here in just one second. But let me know, do you like the Greg Doulsich signing for the Dolphins adding him to the 53man roster? Pin comment on today’s episode. Get down in the comment section and let me know. Well, if you are unaware of who Greg Doulich is or just need a refresher, let me be that man for you. He was the 80th overall pick third round in the 2023 draft by the Denver Broncos out of UCLA. Played for the Broncos for three seasons before being waved during the 2024 campaign. The Giants ultimately claimed him, kept him on their roster, and had him this off seasonason in the preseason. Doulsich was a high, I would say, highly touted prospect, but someone that generated a lot of buzz because he’s got great size. He’s a relatively athletic tight end for his position as well. And everyone thought coming out of UCLA, this could be a really solid receiving threat and mismatch in the red zone and on third downs against safeties and tight or and linebackers potentially, but he just never really put it together. And he’s bounced around between Denver and New York. And then when New York waved him following the preseason, the Dolphins signed him to their practice squad where he has been. So he’s been in the organization. He knows the playbook and should be able to contribute right away if he is made active this upcoming Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. And I think there’s still some untapped potential here. You might say, “Hey, he’s been in the league since 2022. He hasn’t really been productive. We know who he is at this point, but he’s still only 25. Maybe he could put some things together and make some good things happen.” He’s 6’4, 245, and I mentioned it. He’s got good speed. ran a 469 40-yard dash at the NFL combine that was good for an 8.2 RAIS. So, he’s a good athletic tight end for his size. And if you were looking to replace Darren Waller on this roster and look for a red zone threat from a tight end or a third down guy, Doulich is the ideal replacement due to the similar size and speed combination between Waller and Doulich. Greg Doulich is a guy that I do think Miami should make active this Sunday and should involve him in the game plan in some capacity. Every down maybe not, but on obvious passing downs and in the red zone absolutely because we saw him play extremely well for the Giants in the preseason. I alluded to that earlier in the show. He had two touchdowns on six receptions, only put up about 46 yards, but was really impressive, especially in the red zone. I actually remember watching the final preseason game for the Giants. They played the Patriots and he had both of his touchdowns in that game working with Jackson Dart. Those two had really good connections in the red zone on crossers on posts over the middle of the field. If he gets a smaller safety or a slower unathletic linebacker, he can make that matchup pay. I truly do believe he is better than Julian Hill and Tanner Connor. I am sick of Julian Hill. I am sick of Tanner Connor. I would like to give Dre Greg Doulich a chance because Connor was supposed to be that mismatch type of tight end because he did have a ton of background as a wide receiver before moving to tight end. But he just simply hasn’t been that good. And you see the production numbers from the other two tight ends on the Dolphins 53man roster right now through the first seven weeks of the season. They just simply haven’t been that good. And it was such a pretty sight to see Waller back in action. And you see the difference when Waller was on the field in comparison to what Miami had before that because these guys don’t move the same way as Darren Waller. They aren’t as fluid in terms of running routes, catching the ball over the middle of the field and in traffic. And you would hope that these two would bring something else in terms of blocking in the run game, which is very important for the Dolphins. Well, they really haven’t been graded out that well. And that’s been the issue for Greg Doulich in his career. When you ask me why he might have not been able to stick in Denver, other than maybe being a little bit of a let down in the receiving game, it’s because he didn’t bring anything that positively in the run game as well as a blocker. You see his career run blocking grades in the NFL. They aren’t great. But guess what? The Miami aren’t really getting anything that good from their tight ends Julian Hill and Tanner Connor in the blocking game anyway right now. And if you actually look at the entire Dolphins offense, and we criticize this offensive line a lot, they have actually for the most part ran the ball relatively well. Think about what they did to the Chargers. Achan was phenomenal. Had a season high 128 rushing yards and they were really moving the ball on the ground. And even against Cleveland, they were able to run the ball way more effect efficiently and effectively than I anticipated. The only game that they truly struggled to run the football in on a efficient basis was that game against the Carolina Panthers where they averaged about like 1.8 yards per carry. Outside of that game, they’ve ran it well. They did against the New England Patriots. They ran the ball well against the Bills, against the Jets, the Browns, not bad. The Chargers, like the they’ve really only struggled in the run game one time. So, I don’t think you’re going to lose that much if you put Doulich on the field as a run blocker. And the positives of him as a receiver in a potential mismatch over the middle of the field outweigh the negatives of his run blocking. So, pick a tight end one with Darren Waller out. Which tight end should get the most work? Greg Doulich type GD, Julian Hill, type JH, or TC for Tanner Connor? Now, the Dolphins did have a spot on their practice squad open with Doulsich being activated to the 53man roster. Not going to go over him too much, but they did sign Chris Mrick, someone that Dolphins fans should be familiar with. Spent early time with the Dolphins in the early 2020s, was on the preseason roster this August as well. A person that they are very familiar with, Myra joins Hayden Ruchcci as the two tight ends on the practice squad right now. And I want to close out the show with this. Did we just see the last of Darren Waller in Miami? We talked about how he is eligible to return at early week 13 against the New Orleans Saints because you’ve got four weeks then a by-week and then that would be the first game he’s eligible to return. So, he’s got five weeks to potentially get back to the football field. But I I don’t know if he does ultimately return to this team. Just think about what Miami has dealt with this season already, right? One of their key acquisitions in the off seasonason was James Daniels, the offensive lineman, signed a three-year $24 million deal. He suffered a pec injury in week one, and here we are in week eight, and he has not even be designated to have his 21-day practice window returned yet. So, we’re now seven weeks plus here on James Daniels, who suffered a similar pec injury. So yeah, I I’m a little bit intrigued with the fact that I don’t know if Waller will return. And here’s just another reason why I am a little bit suspect of a potential return for Waller. I’m not going to blame him whatsoever. If you’re Darren Waller, you came out of retirement. You’re 30 plus years age here. Why would you push yourself hard to return to the football field in week 13, week 14 for the final month and a half of the season to play for an awful football team. It is more likely than not that Miami when he is eligible to return is sitting with a 1 and 10 record. Just call a spade a spade. The next four games in Atlanta against Buffalo and Baltimore at home and then Washington in Madrid. Can you expect Miami to win any of those games? No, probably not. They’re going to be one and 10. Why would Waller push himself to return? To me, it’s a lost season. If I’m Waller, I’m just going to call it. Say, “Hey, I look good in those three, four games. I was back this season.” And maybe I parlay that into another season with a different team next year or with Miami if they want to bring them back. But the point is, if you’re Waller, why risk pushing yourself to the extreme, returning and getting it reinjured to play for a team that won’t be playing for anything meaningful in November and December? That’ll do it for today’s episode. Like I said off the top, make sure you subscribe and turn on notifications because we’re bringing you content every single day, two times a day. Miami Dolphins news on deck in this Dolphins YouTube video as Dolphins GM Chris Grier made three Dolphins roster moves. Tight end Darren Waller suffered a pec injury in NFL Week 7, and he was placed on IR today, meaning he will be out the next 4 games at minimum. Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier replaced Waller on the Dolphins roster with Greg Dulcich. Dulcich has been on the Dolphins practice squad after being signed in late August. Dulcich led the NFL in preseason touchdown receptions for a tight end. Miami also signed TE Chris Myarick to the practice squad to fill the void of Greg Dulcich. Dolphins need to draft a QB
S
YYY
Can we look at this another way why is Grier making decisions? And sorry I want nothing that improves the team. So we win a couple of games, which will knock us our 1st round draft order. Hmmm And any winning streak we will keep Mike and Chris and Tua.
GD
Chris Grier special a 4 game player getting injured
Prayers to Tyreek man 😢!😊
I found thus gem- these guys are prime candidates for GM
Potential General Manager candidates for the Miami Dolphins include Reggie McKenzie, Alec Halaby, and Mike Borgonzi, according to various sports analysts. McKenzie, a former Raiders GM, is a respected voice in the league, while Halaby is known for his analytics-driven approach with the Eagles and Borgonzi for his experience building Super Bowl rosters with the Chiefs. Other potential candidates are Ed Dodds, the Colts' assistant GM known for player evaluation, and Ray Agnew, the Lions' assistant GM who has been part of a championship-caliber team build.
Awesome
Y ! It's about TIME!!!

Sit on your Hands
The Dolphins need to stop relying on draft picks and start actually working/coaching
Darren Waller is done for the season.
Dulcich sounds like a good sign
Who frikn cares just play for the no 1 pick just don't have mcdaniels or greir make the pick
Do some of these injuries seem to be conditioning problems? Asking for a friend….
See what hes got. Maybe keep him next season. Anybody is better than tanner Connor. And Julian Hill and walker hardly gunna have half the season suffering injuries
Looking ahead should b a new head coach next season along with new gm and new qb new oc and possibly dc. ..Major overhaul to rebuild. ..sign free agents in off season.
Grier should have been fired a long time ago. Instead 10 seasons in failed attempts to fix team in all areas and 0 playoff wins
How many of us already knew that Waller would only play a few games before this happened? And now we get Weird Al Yankovich
My uneducated prediction is we’re gonna see some trades and see players put on the shelf. Still think Ross wants to get the highest possible draft pick in 26 seeing that there is nothing to gain by scratching out a win or two. Been a fan since the first game in 66 and not going anywhere while I’m above ground
Dulcich – it's about time. Can he play QB too?
Keep him tight on the right side of the line to help block
McDummy should be running double tights on the same side with a tackle eligible to freeze the OLB and the S and then throw over their heads. That is if Tua can actually throw 10 yards.
The formula is pretty simple => STOP GAMBLING ON INJURED PLAYERS!
Im going to LOL when your TE is a bust. You're all over his balls dude.
GD!
I will be soooo happy when Grier gets fired
Who cares lol. This team is going 4 and 13 anyways. Might as well just enjoy the tank and draft a competent strong intelligent QB. Fernando Mendoza!
I have a question. How does someone hurt their pec? Just asking
gd! but they wont play him
Does not matter, finish the season, fire Grier, demote McDanields to OC, IF he doesn't except, fire him too…IF Ross has ANY football brains at all, do NOT allow to Grier to make any roster.moves and safe guard those picks, now IF grier is retain, am DONE being A fan of this team and give away my ENTIRE retro gear and stuff I collected since 1983, I do not buy or wear any of the new gear(Ross's new logo is shit, that should have NEVER been changed)…am pretry sad about how this once great franchise has journeyed to this point.
Y 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
GD 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Trade Tua for a kicker
The same old crap its not going to change when you dont fix the real problem look at the facts
Just wait. Ross is going to put all the blame on Tua and give Grier a promotion and retain McDaniel for next season. Lawsuit has him scared.
Grier needs a pink slip!!!
Waller barely played…..He was way under utilized.
GD
Another idiot Grier move that will further devastate the team even more. CG should be put in charge of stadium bathrooms and he can take his assistants with him.
