Phillie Fan Reacts to Dodgers Sweeping the Brewers in NLCS

At this point, the Dodgers are just pay to win. Show Atani is not human. And I and I mean this seriously. This man last night had 10 strikeouts and three home runs. This might have been the greatest postseason performance we’ve ever seen in the history of baseball. He just single-handedly beat the Brewers. And not just they beat the Brewers, they swept the Brewers, a team with the most wins in the MLB. The one seed came to the NLCS and got swept by the Dodgers. Do you realize how insane that is? Do you make it to the NLCS as the one seed and you get swept? You average one run a game. You don’t belong there. The Brewers truly don’t belong there. Or is it that the Dodgers are too overpowered? Do they have too much money to spend? And you know what’s going to happen because of the Dodgers go win the World Series. Welcome to the 2027 lockout. Now guys, so we’re going to deep dive why the Dodgers have been so successful and why I’m so mad at the fact that they have unlimited funds to spend, diverting payments, all that good stuff. But what I first want to talk about is Shoe Atani. And I’m sorry for ever disrespecting him. I said a lot of bad things about him. He’s done nothing all postseason, but last night he showed why he’s the MVP, why he’s the best player in baseball. This man had 10 strikeouts and three home runs. This guy was doing it on both sides of the field. Like I said, he single-handedly beat the Brewers. You didn’t need a single other player on that team. He did it all. Now that you have Show, who’s officially woken up, y’all are winning the World Series. And you probably will if it’s the Mariners sweep them. It’s going to get ugly. But here’s the problem with the Dodgers. Y’all have too much money. The Dodgers have officially only lost one game in the entire postseason and they’re heading to World Series. Keep in mind they also played in the wild card round. There is no reason a team in the playoffs where there’s a bunch of professional athletes should only have one loss. And the only loss is to the Phillies who didn’t have the chance to beat them. Probably the only team that had the chance to eliminate the Dodgers knowing the roster, knowing the talent they had was the Phillies. But we couldn’t do it. And if we couldn’t do it, you think the Brewers really had a chance? The Brewers made it the whole way to the NLCS with all that talent with, you know, all this for Bob Yuk and they just got dominated. I mean, they scored a total of one run a game and got embarrassed. Now the Dodgers heading back to the World Series for the second time backto-back years. Now, it might be time for the MLB to make some changes. Salary cap and salary for both of these need to be implemented. I’m okay with the salary floor because the bottom teams need to spend money, but they’re only going to spend what the bottom line is. But the salary cap needs to be in place for teams like the Dodgers who are able to defer a billion dollars in payments. And before you say anyone can do this, no, you can’t. You cannot just defer over a billion dollars in payments and hope that money comes back unless you find a show Atani. Show Atani was the greatest investment ever. They made all that money back in one year from marketing, from his jersey sales. I mean, from audience coming over from Japan. Show Atani is the reason the Dodgers able to do this. So before you sit here and say anyone can do this, no. No, they can’t. Unless you find me another show out there that can pitch, hit, bring a market, bring an audience like that, there’s no way any team can do what the Dodgers are doing, which is exactly why the MLB needs to do something about deferred payments. Now, I’m not a hater. I love seeing greatness and show is incredible. He’s gifted. But it gets to the point where the Dodgers are going to run this for 10 years. They’re going to keep building. They’re going to keep bringing on guys. Heck, they might get scubable in the offseason. because of the way they’re deferring payments, because of the way they’re making money, no one can compete with these guys, which is exactly why the NFL added a salary cap because you would see the same team went over and over and over again. And what happens if the same team wins over and over and over again? The MLB viewership goes down. Nobody wants to see the same team over and over again other than Dodgers fans. I’m sorry, but it’s the truth. I’d say the same thing as the Phillies. After two wins in a row, it’s going to get copy and paste. Now, back on the Brewers, y’all are an embarrassment. Y’all really made it the whole way to the NLCS, barely squeezed by the Cubs talking this crazy all year about how you’re the best team just to get embarrassed. I’ve not heard a single word from a single Brewers fan since the first game of NLCS because y’all didn’t belong there. It should have been Phillies, Dodgers, NLCS. That’s what everyone wanted. That was the best possible matchup in a sevengame series. And that would have been your World Series because the World Series coming up, Dodgers versus Mariners, Blue Jays, Dodgers in four. I mean, do you really think they’re going to win a single game against the Dodgers who just dominated the NL and the NL is so much more competitive than the AL? The AL has nobody. The NL is where the town is and the Dodgers ran it. They had a total of one loss. One loss in the entire postseason run. Do you understand how insane that is? Show the NLCS MVP and he deserved that. But here’s what I want to think about. If he didn’t win the MVP, who are they going to give it to? Cuz their offense has not been showing up. It’s been their pitching. The reason the Dodgers are winning is all of these starters. They have dogs. They have four aces. They have four aces. Do you really think you’re going to be the team that has four aces going six, seven, eight innings a game? No. Because then guess what? You got Roki Suzaki who’s also an ace that they moved in the bullpen closing every game out. He can go two, three, four innings. He can go to all as much as you need. And that’s the problem. You have too much money, too much funds. And before Dodgers fans say, “Yes, I get it. The Angels didn’t pay show. The Red Sox didn’t play Mookie Bets. I understand players weren’t paid, but you shouldn’t have all of them. I just because you have all the money in the world doesn’t mean you should just build a super team. You’all want to talk about super teams. The Dodgers literally have a super team. Now, these are just my thoughts. I want you to let me know down below in the comment section. What do y’all think of the lockout of salary cap salary for what do y’all think needs to be done? Or are you okay with the Dodgers running the league over and over and over again cuz it’s going to get to the point where no one’s going to want to watch baseball other than Dodgers fans. There needs to be more competition. The Phillies Dodger game was the only competitive series the Dodgers had all playoffs. And yes, they won 3 to1, but that’s the best competitive series we’ve seen all all postseason against them because everyone else has got dominated by the Dodgers. So, let me know down below what y’all think. And if you’re brand new, guys, make sure to subscribe, hit the thumbs up. It’s the best way to support my videos. Videos every single week, every single day. And guys, we will be uploading all the videos for the World Series. So, make sure to turn on the notifications. And we’ll see you guys in the next video. Peace out, baby.

SHOEHI OHTANI JUST HAD THE BEST POST-SEASON PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME… Shohei Ohtani just struck out 10 batters and hit 3 homeruns in game 4 of the NLCS vs Brewers! Shohei Ohtani may be the greatest player in the history of baseball, and he did this when his team needed him most. Will we ever see another performance like this again? Enjoy the video!

  1. But there isn't another ohtani so no other team needs to worry about 700 million. And what would a cap do? You think it's gonna be a 50 million cap? No way. They'll still go to LA because the whole infrastructure is built for winning.

  2. Since 2000 the no-salary-cap MLB has had 17 different teams win the championship. The salary-capped NBA? 12. The salary-capped NFL? 16. Nobody complained when Houston went to the WS 4 times in 6 years, or the Giants won 3 times in 5 years

  3. Don't blame dodgers because they have a well run organization while others Don't….soto got paid 765 million, for what nobody knows!! Red sox didn't want to extend mookie's contract..ohtani gave the same 10 year deffered offer to angles with only 2 mill yearly payments…they didn't take it because the owner thought it's "too risky"!!…..also…salary caps will not "stop" dodgers because the other owners will not become generous automatically, they are cheapos who will continue to think about their profit margins rather than the organizations…

  4. NFL and NBA is a NATIONAL sport, money only comes majority from USA and other USA related providence.
MLB however is a INTERNATIONAL sport, money comes from all over the world.
Yes, there is a way to do it.
Tell your owners to quit hogging up all that money and actually invest and spend it on players to get yourself even the slimmest chance to the world series and until the day they're out of the little leagues, get there bs straight and fit in with the big shots? Everyone can keep hitting rocks.
    Go MLB LoL

  5. I didn't realise the Phillies weren't allowed to offer deferred money contracts? Nope, their front office just chose not to. Also, playoff viewership is the highest in 15 years and 30% higher than 2024. So I guess people do want to watch baseball despite what the Dodgers are doing.

  6. Bryce Harper called people like you losers.
The Dodgers weren't the only team going after Ohtani.
Yamamoto got a bigger contract offered yet he refused more money.
Rays trader Glasnow, Cardinals traded Edman etc etc yet you MF will always cry when Dodgers improve good players instead of dropping them.
Last year it was like no team wanted Snell and Giants signed him basically last minute for 1 year but when Dodgers decided to sigh Snell now it's bad when no team wanted to sigh him.
Dodgers also take risk sometimes it doesn't work like with Conforto and sometimes it works like with Teoscar.

  7. Does anyone think that Shohei Ohtani would perform so well if his teammates were Soto and Judge instead of Freeman and Betts? Give credit to Dave Roberts and the Dodgers management, too. It takes so much teamwork to win a baseball game, unlike the NBA. Winning is always about team chemistry and momentum, although a bigger payroll does have some correlation with better performance. Look at how much money the Mets blew away with Juan Soto and ended the season without a playoff game. Officially, the Mets payroll is higher than the Dodgers this season. Also, the Dodgers did not do any big trade before the deadline to strengthen the bullpen. Instead, they rehabilitated Sasaki and Shohei back into good pitching shapes. Mookie Betts took a big sacrifice by switching to shortstop, what a selfless move. No other MVP caliber player would risk their career like that. Freddie is a real nice guy and Shohei is always humble. Dodgers were always big spenders but that did not work out so well during 1989-2019. When the owner sees such good team chemistry and great management, we can't blame him for wanting to invest more under the current rules. He would be foolish to not invest more and seek bigger returns. The Dodgers were the first to sign Jackie Robinson and Hideo Nomo,a history of embracing diversity and equality. Expanding the fan base is always a great thing for the MLB.

  8. Tone down, here. No, not a salary cap. Someone recently suggested a better plan to improve toward parity but more so to ensure that every team's ownership and management are actually trying to be competitive. Establish a minimum percentage of revenue that each team must spend. That way, they also demonstrate to their fan base whether they're serious about being competitive or not. If the fan base gets energized, it will also increase revenue and provide even more money that team must spend to secure talent and compete effectively.

  9. Dodgers fan who agrees that Dodgers/Phillies would have been a better NLCS. Baseball won't get boring if the Dodgers keep winning because they would still have ups and downs all season that would keep it interesting. This World Series is not a lock. Offense is shaky. Too many low-scoring grudge matches this post-season. That keeps baseball interesting, whether this season or beyond, with any dominant team, whoever it may be. Go, Dodgers!⚾️🧢😎🌴

  10. It's not merely a matter of a team's financial power. The Dodgers had been planning for years to acquire Ohtani, and they were prepared to accept all the potential drawbacks that would come with his arrival. Did other teams go through the same process, fail, and complain that it's unfair? Wanting the outcome without making the same effort or following the same path—that's what's truly unfair.

  11. 翔平は、日本では彼が若い頃の楽しいビデオが残ってますよ。コンビニエンスストアでチョコレートエクレアを頼んだり、コメディアンとテレビ出演して笑ってたり、かわいい翔平です。

  12. Good stuff Tino! I agree with a lot of what you say, however if Shohei is the reason the Dodgers were able to make so much money, then what happened with the Angels? I'd love to see you do a video on why the Angels were not able to make all that money on him like you say the Dodgers are making. Secondly, Guggenheim bought the Dodgers in 2012 with all that money to spend on the team, yet they've only won two championships in 12 years. That means 10 other teams have won the world series regardless of what the Dodgers spend. The Padres were one game away from beating them last year even with all the money they paid and with Shohei. And some signing are a bust, look at the Tanner Scott signing, he was supposedly going to be one of the top relievers this year and just wasn't very good, might not even play in the world series. Money doesn't always buy championships, the chemistry has to be right and you can't buy that. I think we're over-reacting a bit.

  13. But the dodgers arent blowing these teams out of the water. If you look at the overall record it looks like the Dodgers are OP and bullying these teams, but if you actually watch each game, its a lot closer than it looks. There were many chances Phillies had to take their games, but couldnt capitalize…. And I agree it has to do with the dodgers defense and pitchers,… But there were a lot of mistakes by the Phillies and Brewers too… There were many moments where if it went differently the entire series couldve changed.

  14. I love how the argument that the dodgers bought everyone is havingbto acknowledge that other teams didnt want said player. Its pretty funny

  15. My opinion on this is that sure not every owner wants to spend a billion dollars for players. But any team could have outbid the dodgers for blake snell, yoshinobu, teoscar, or even tanner scott so that the dodgers would not have these players in one team. So im still blaming the other teams

  16. Y'all talk as if only the Dodgers could splurged money to sign Ohtani back then. The Dodgers only happened to be able to sign great players like Yama, Snell, and etc. only because Shohei damn near deferred all of his salary. Say, the Phillies or the Yankees could have been able to afford all the talent they have right now.. plus Ohtani and maybe more had they signed Ohtani for a billion of deferred salary.

If there's anything, there is a league difference between the Dodgers front office or it's whole organization compared to the others. Just the fact they were able to snatch Mookie and Freddie back then is masterclass.

  17. As a Dodger fan I completely disagree on the deferred payments aspect that it allows them to win for so long. Most of these players will retire before playing out their contracts and when they are still paying these players they will need to have the best farm system possible because they won't be able to sign other big contracts. This will hurt the Dodgers I would say probably in 3 to 5 years. As long as teams don't break rules or cheat (Houston A**holes) I commend any team/ownership willing to pay as much money allowed to put together the best team possible. The Raiders or Sacramento Kings (other favorite teams) are a shinning example of the exact opposite of the Dodgers because of the ownership is not willing to do what it takes to put together a great team.

  18. That’s stupid. If it’s pay to win, the Brewers wouldn’t have been in the NLCS. Seattle wouldn’t have Ben in the ALCS and the Mets and Yankees wouldn’t have lost in the DS. But yeah, cope however you want.

  19. The Phillies’ payroll isn’t that far off from the Dodgers…

    2025 MLB payroll rankings:
    Mets — $323,100,000
    Dodgers — $321,287,291
    Yankees — $293,488,972
    Phillies — $284,210,820
