Let’s make a splash before the deadline 🤞🏼

  1. It’s not a surprise, our offense can put up points but we keep allowing too many. We need another safety.

  2. >In what might come as a surprise…

lol… no surprise at all for anyone who has watched the team this season. We’re putting up points against everyone, but we’re making guys like Spencer Rattler and Cam Ward look pretty damn competent.

OLB/S/CB/Edge – I’d take any one of these before an offensive player unless that player is a RB depth piece.

  3. DE/ OLB (edge pieces) & CB depth but most importantly….Safety

They may have inquired about a RB or two, but they should be able to find someone serviceable that’s not already on a team. I don’t want to be giving up draft capital for a RB…

I’m sure they’ve asked about a couple guards but no team is gonna part ways with a starting caliber OLinemen.

  4. The offense is competent enough that another weapon would be nice, not really needed. The defense *needs* more help to be viable in a potential playoff game

  5. The surprise will be if they actually land something material.

Looking forward to another headline next week where we get the “Patriots were really close to getting x defender” Elliott wolf quoted as saying “We tried again and failed again”

  6. Would’ve been surprising seven weeks ago, but not so much anymore. I’m growing more and more confident in Diggs, Henry, Boutte, Mack and Pop. Another RB would be nice though.

  7. Why would that be a surprise? They’ve been getting torched over the middle all season.

  8. Why would this be a surprise to anyone with eyes who watches the games each week? The offense looks stellar, defense is missing pieces

  9. There are a lot more quality defensive players potentially available than on offense, and the few needle movers that might be are tied to teams that likely have no interest in helping us build depth.

I’d be surprised if they make any big splash moves but it never hurts to window shop and check price tags. They’ll be more on the look out for cheaper pieces to weather injuries and add depth.
