Big ups to you. and we’ll hear from you coming up in segment number three as we close out the show. Segment number two, ESPN, Jeremy Fowler and company put together a list of 25 players that they think could be on the move before the nove November 4th trade deadline. One or two have to do with the Raiders. A couple they have the Raiders have interest in a few of the players. So, uh we’ll talk about all the different ones that they have on this list and if there would be any interest by the Raiders or if we think there should be any interest by the Raiders, we’ll do that in segment number two. kind of give you the percentages and the reasoning why these guys could be on the trade block. So, we’ll talk all things trade deadline basically. Segment number two here in segment number one, news and notes of the day. And really, it’s taking you inside the Raiders locker room. We’ll do that after we tell you about the title sponsor of the show, which is prize picks. Download the Prize Pix apps today. Use the promo code locked on NFL to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. And you know, if you’re tuning in and Thursday is your favorite show because we have crossover Thursday. Well, we can’t have crossover Thursday if there’s no team to cross over, right? So, we’ll be back with crossover Thursday next week with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Uh Anthony Wigan Wiggins does a fantastic job. We call him Aunt Wig. He does a great job. He’s a barber, but he also covers the Jacksonville Jaguars like a glove. So, always get an opportunity when I do catch up with him. It’s fantastic. So, look forward to that. But that’ll be next week. But now, I do want to take you inside the Raiders locker room. They practiced on Tuesday. They practiced on Wednesday. We had an opportunity to get in the locker room. If you listen to uh you know, Wednesday’s show, you heard Jacobe Myers had a really good conversation with him, his leadership. Uh I think that that’s a dude that and a teammate that you always want to have in your locker room. What’s going to happen with Jacobe? We’ll find out sooner rather than later. Just a hint, his name is on that list that Jeremy Fowler from ESPN put together, the 25. So, we’ll talk about that in segment number two. But really good stuff from him. I had a chance to catch up with Darien Porter one-on-one action on Wednesday. And it’s funny, once practice was over on Wednesday, we got into the locker room. These guys got dressed, boom, quick, and they were out of there. They had uh some fun real quick, played some pool, you know, talked a little trash, started making some plans, and they were out of there. So, not too many guys wanted to talk. Max Crosby, we saw him, wanted to catch up with him because obviously all the conversations going on around him. All he did is put up his hands, start walking away, and say, “I plead the fifth.” And kept it pushing. So, there was that. That’s all he said. And I don’t blame him, right? Because as soon as one had talked to it, like if I had talked to him or Adam Hill, me and him had actually approached Max, then all of a sudden it would have been 10 or 15 members of the media and they would have been around his locker for about 10 or 15 minutes. If we talked to Jacobe for six or seven minutes, we would have talked to Max for 10 to 15 minutes. And so I don’t blame him, especially when you know the whole conversation is going to be about trade, trade, trade, trade. What’d you think when you heard your name in the trade uh rumors? And look, Max hears his name in the trade uh rumors and and speculation every year, right? One year is Green Bay, another year is Detroit, this year is Dallas, and I’m sure there’s going to be other names that we’ll hear, other teams we’ll hear before November 4th. But that’s just that. I did get a chance to catch up with Darien Porter. Wanted to talk to him. I’ve been watching him, you know, ever since the the Raiders drafted him in the third round out of Iowa State. Got a lot of burn early in training camp. Got a lot of burn in the preseason early, and then all of a sudden, Caillou Blue Kelly came along and he came on strong and took the starting spot. I do believe coming out of the, you know, the bye-week, the second half in theory of the season for the Raiders, I think you’ll see a lot more from Daren Porter. So, I want to start to really establish that relationship, let him be one of those guys that I can go to and talk to and just kind of pick his brain. And I’m a guy that really respects Iowa State football. So, that’s kind of something that we have in common. And, uh, you know, it’s easy to talk to him about that. Plus, you know, I know a lot about the quarterback position. I know how difficult it is. Remember, this is a young guy that has not been playing the position for a long time. He was a wide receiver uh in college turn quarterback. So now he’s with the Raiders. Now he’s trying to find his way. He has the size, he has the speed to fit a prototypical Pete Carol corner. So on Wednesday, I had an opportunity to catch up with him in the Raiders locker room. Check it out here. Raiders quarterback Darren Porter. And Darren, you guys just wrapped up your final practice for the bye-week and you guys are going to get a little bit of time to kind of get away from football. What does that feel for you just, you know, uh seven games in? Uh, you know, it feels good to be able to, you know, come out, get get to work a little bit, focus on us for a couple practices. Um, really dive in on what we need to improve upon, what’s been working well, and, uh, kind of get back to the fundamentals before we have this uh, this next stretch of games. How important is it to be able to get away, kind of clear your minds, and then get ready for the second half of the season in theory? Yeah, I think it it’s good for everyone to, you know, step away for just a little bit. um you know just be able to kind of reset and you know come back you know cuz we got a long stretch of games and you know they’re really important ones. So um you know I think it’s going to be good for everybody to get you know a little reset in. What has this been like so far this experience your rookie year right? Is this what you expected? Is it not? Is it kind of you’re still learning? What’s this process been like for you? Yeah, I mean I’m still learning. Um you know hopefully I’ll always be learning something new to get better at. Um but you know it’s been a lot of fun. Um, obviously hope some of the games or wish some of the games would have turned out a little differently, but um, you know, we’re we’re all still learning. We’re all figuring it out and um, you know, we’re going to be in a good spot by the end of the year. Well, you’re a guy that comes from Iowa State. Coach Campbell seems to always prepare you guys to, you know, be ready for adversity and deal with adversity. How much has that helped you even your rookie year? It’s it’s helped a lot. you know, like you said, Coach Campbell, um, he teaches you to act like a pro, but always, um, like you said, you know, how do you who do you become, you know, when adversity hits, you know, are you going to be the person that falls off? Are you going to, you know, rise and bring everyone else with you? So, um, I think he’s prepared me well for the NFL, but also in the situation we find ourselves in right now. Well, every player that I’ve talked to in this locker room has said that you guys are all still all together, you know, one band, one sound. How how difficult is it? And I guess is that a credit to the leadership that you guys are able to stick together? No, I I don’t think it’s difficult with this group that we have. You know, we um we we’ve put a lot of work in, you know, a lot of sweat, a lot of hard days, a lot of long days. So, um it shouldn’t be a surprise that everyone’s still so invested and still sticking together. Um and like you said, I think it is a commitment to uh a testament to the leadership, but also to everyone else for actually buying into it and, you know, being able to stick together. We’ve seen you jump into the game whenever your number is called. What is it like to, you know, have to be ready, you know, so you don’t have to get ready, you have to be, you’re already ready just to get in there whenever your number’s called? Yeah, you know, I’m always always always preparing like, you know, um, your starter cuz like you could be one one play away from it and we’ve already kind of gone through that a couple times. So, um, always just preparing like, you know, you’re ready to play. Um, and just be ready at a moment’s notice. And when the other thing about it is you’re always a special teams ace, you’re always one of those guys that really emphasizes the, you know, you have to be on point when it comes to special teams. How much is that is just like, hey, I’m gonna make sure I do that and then when my number’s called to be a corner, I’m gonna do that as well. Yeah. I mean, special teams how I got my start. So, um it means a lot to me and uh I’ll always put everything I can and whenever I’m on the field if I’m called on to be in a special teams play, I’ll give it everything I got. Anything planned for uh for the by-week? Just a little R&R. Yeah. Just maybe BYU and Iowa State this weekend. Take it easy a little bit. No, I won’t be headed to Ames, but definitely going to be taking it easy a little bit. We enjoy the time. Thank you. Appreciate you. Of course. Little one-on-one action right there with Daria Porter. Again, just want to talk to him and kind of get his thoughts on the first seven games of the season, dealing with adversity. And I know for a fact, Coach Campbell does a great job at Iowa State getting those guys prepared for the NFL and dealing with adversity. And as you heard Darien say, always practice like a pro, right? He teaches these guys how to be a pro. And if you go and look up and down a bunch of different rosters across the league, a lot of Iowa State representation. So, now there’s no more locker room. There’s no media uh availability. not till Monday when we’ll get a chance to talk to head coach Pete Carroll. That’ll be at 11 am in the uh Raiders media room there at the facility. So, uh everything else is just going to be some conversation. Then obviously we’ll head into the weekend after tomorrow and uh you know just get a little RNR, be able to watch a bunch of other teams play football and then on Monday the Raiders will get back to work. So coming up in segment number two, we’ll talk about the trade deadline. It is November 4th. ESPN uh Jeremy Fowler and company put out a really good piece on ESPN.com. top 25 guys that they could see being on the move. Not saying all the guys are going to be moved, but there’s a possibility and a reasoning why they believe some of these guys are going to be moved. I singled out a few of them that have some kind of Raider interest or ties to it in general. We’ll talk about that in segment number two of today’s Lockdown Raiders podcast. Before we get to that though, I do want to tell you about a couple of the great sponsors we have here on the show. And the first one is the title sponsor, Prize Pick. Prize picks. Every day we make decisions, but on prize picks, being right can actually get you paid. Don’t miss the excitement of the football season with prize picks, where it’s good to be right. So, what do you do? Well, playing prize picks is a fun, simple way to add more excitement to football. You pick more or less on player projections like Josh Allen’s passing yards or Saquon Barkley’s rushing for a touchdown. Whatever the case may be, maybe AJ Brown, he’s always happy. Receiving yards, catches, whatever the case may be. Prize picks makes it a lot of fun. You can select passing yards, rushing yards, touchdowns, all in one lineup and have a lot of fun. They added a feature called stacks and that’s how you do it. And the injury reboot feature. If your player leaves early, it doesn’t return. It won’t cost count against you at all. Right now, what you have to do is download the prize pix apps today. Use the promo code locked on NFL to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. All right, Raid Nation. Here we go. Segment number two of today’s Locked On Raiders podcast. We know the trade deadline’s coming up November 4th, right? Every single year, and this is something that we talked about as soon as the Raiders lost to the Chiefs on Sunday, that you’re going to hear the Raiders names involved in the, you know, the trade conversations. And you know, if the Raiders had lost to the Titans and then followed that up with a loss to the Chiefs, man, what we’ve already heard would have been times 100 just because they’d be riding a six-game losing streak into the uh into the by-week. Now, again, it’s not good to have a four-game losing streak, pick up a win, and then get right back into the loss column, but uh either way, two and five looks a lot better than one and six. But it’s neither one is very good, and it’ll get your name into the trade conversations. But more than likely, most times you don’t hear the team that is two and five or one and six or just struggling to be a team that’s normally buyers. Normally you hear about these teams being sellers. So Jeremy Fowler put a piece out on ESPN.com along with some other help. Matt Bowen was involved in this as well. Top 25 NFL candidates to be on the move. And there’s some that have some Raider intrigue to it. You’re right. Some Raider, you know, kind of ties to it. So, I wanted to bring that to the table and talk about guys that I think may be of interest or not. So, let’s go ahead and jump into it. The first one at the top was not Max Crosby, but Jacobe Meyers said Myers wanted a new deal before the season, didn’t get one despite a request. Uh, he appears poised for 2026 free agency. Uh, they said the predicted chance of him getting traded is about 35%. And they said the team fits to look out for for Jacobe Myers, the Steelers, the Dolphins, the Giants, and the Patriots. Obviously, he was a a patriot before he was a member of the Raiders. So, uh there’s a big explanation, a big breakdown. You heard what he had to say on the show on yesterday. So, I just wanted to make sure to pass that along just so we had that there on the record. That’s obviously one I mentioned on Monday’s show after the Raiders lost to the Chiefs when we started talking about potential for trades. I said I don’t think the Raiders will be interested in anyone. Maybe Tariq Woolen because he has those ties to Pete Carol in Seattle. He was a fifth round pick and he’s kind of not, you know, been in the in in the best light right there with Mike McDonald as the head coach there now as a co-os to Pete Carol. So, I thought if they were going to make a move before the trade deadline, it could be for him. Well, if you go to ESPN.com and you look at the top 25 NFL trade candidates, Jeremy Fowler and Matt Bowen, they have Tariq Woolen on there, said the buzz. Multiple league execs have Woolen earmarked as a strong trade candidate leading into the deadline. They’ve been wanting to move him for a while. That’s when one executive said he doesn’t fit what Mike McDonald wants to do. Woolen would be best served going to a team that can use his man coverage traits one potential hurdle to to a deal. Seattle’s other starting quarterback Deon Witherspoon has a difficult time staying healthy this season. That’s according to Jeremy Fowler. So they said predicted chances of him getting traded 50%. Now remember J uh uh Jacobe Myers was at 35%. They have Tariq Woolen at 50%. So they feel really confident that he’s going to get moved before November 4th. Now, this is what caught me off guard. Team fits. Lions, Eagles, Falcons, and Buccaneers. No Raiders. But we know that he would fit with the Raiders cuz Pete Carol’s there. We know what Patrick Graham wants to do. He wants to run uh cover three. He wants to run zone, but he also wants to have the ability to run man. Tariq Woolen could do that. If the price is right, and I said this on Monday’s show, if the price is right, I would have no problem seeing the Raiders make a move to bring in Tariq Woolen. Again, not not very often you see a team that’s two and five be interested in making a trade and bringing someone into the building. Uh normally they’re interested in getting people out of the building and collecting draft capital. So that’s one I would earmark and kind of highlight. Tariq Woolen from the Seahawks. How about this one? Braxton Jones, offensive tackle from the Bears. They said the buzz rival teams agree Jones is a sensible trade candidate after his benching in favor of Theo Theo Benedict and his resume as a multi-year starter in Chicago. Jones also is a contract year. He is now healthy following an ankle issue that plagued him for much of 2025. Predicted chance of getting traded 25%. So half of what they thought for Tri Woolen, but this is why I brought him to the table. Team fits Raiders, Rams, and Chargers. So we know the issues that the Chargers have. They play Thursday Night Football tonight. Uh the Chargers and the Vikings, and they’re pretty banged up on that offensive line. So I can see them making a move. But if the Raiders truly are trying to build build a bully in the trenches, I don’t think that they can, you know, they can uh, you know, raise their nose and and and turn their head to any offensive lineman, any big- time tackle that may be available, especially when you don’t know when Colton Miller is going to return. He’s on IR. Doesn’t mean he’s only going to miss four games. It means he has to miss a minimum of four games. So, he’ll be available to return after the Jacksonville game if he’s available. So, that’s just a name to pay attention to. Again, I don’t think that they’re going to be in the the market to bring in a guy, but if a offensive tackle becomes available and the price is right, they could make the move. This one’s a funny one. Russell Wilson, quarterback, New York Giants. They said trading Wilson would be a challenge because of the scarcity of available starting quarterback jobs. The Bengals had a clear opening two weeks ago, but opted for Joe Flacco. The Giants could slide Jameus Whiston in number two spot if they aggressively pursue a trade at Wilson. At this stage of Wilson’s career, compensation would not be steep. His days of productive starter appear to be over. He has a trade friendly base salary of only $2 million. Predicted chances of getting traded 10%. Team Fitz, Raiders, Saints. Yeah, I’m out. Nothing else needed to say on that one. I’m out. No thank you. Uh, I’ll roll with Aiden Oonnell when he returns. I’ll roll with Katy Picket if he’s available. I’ll roll with Cam Miller before I think that the Raiders should roll with Russell Wilson. Moving on just that quickly. Evan Neil, offensive tackle and guard. This is intriguing to me. The Giants, the buzz feels like an ideal time to deal away Neil. the number seven pick in 2022. He’s been inactive all season. The Giants starting offensive line finally feels settled, which would make starting with Neil, parting with Neil easier, even if for just a late round pick swap. Teams are always looking for offensive line help. I would be interested in that as well. Again, it may be a project. He was a number seven overall pick in 2022. Obviously, he’s got some skins on the walls. Funny when you look at the Giants and their offensive line, you know who’s starting on their offensive line? Germaine Aluminor and and uh who else is the other one? Um, Grao, Graason, uh, what was it? Garco, the other one that was on I forget his name. Dang it. But anyway, you know what I’m talking about. Two Raiders are on the right side of the of the Giants offensive line. Germaine Aluminor being the right tackle. But they said predicted chance of getting traded 25% team fits Raiders and the Chargers. So, two teams that need offensive line help. I wouldn’t mind if you can get Neil because he’s the tackle or guard. He could play both positions. I wouldn’t have any problem with they bringing him in. Again, the right price. Uh, I know that John Spitech loves his draft capital. So, he’s not just going to go out there and give up a bunch of picks, but those offensive linemen, we know that the Raiders need to, you know, boost up their offensive line. That’s something I pay attention to. Not to mention, I still think there’s a slight chance where these guys are talking about, you know, Neil maybe a 25% he would get traded. I think this is like a 5% chance that this happens, but I still would not rule out a JPJ trade. I would not be uh ruling that out at all. And I can see them going and making a move for someone else if they decide that yeah, that’s what they’re going to do because they have Alex Kappa, but we know what what he’s brought to the table so far. And one more, and this one I’m pretty interested in. Logan Wilson, the linebacker from the Bengals. The Bengals are are going younger at linebacker, relegating Wilson to a reserve role in favor of rookie Barrett Carter despite Wilson’s status as a team captain. Teams I’ve talked to believe Cincinnati is open to dealing Wilson, whose base salary is 5.4 million this season. Next year, Wilson has a base of 6 million. predicted chance of getting traded 60% team fits, Cowboys, 49ers, Bills, Colts. I know the Raiders aren’t on there, but I’m interested. Like I said, I’m interested in this guy has production when it comes to ball skills. I want to say he has like 11 interceptions. That’s something that the Raiders need. They need a guy that could turn the ball over. And we know how much Pete Carol wants to value the ball, right, and getting the ball. And the Raiders struggle to create turnovers. So, uh, we know that they lost Germaine Pratt, who came from Cincinnati, but I would be interested. I don’t know what the price would be, but it seems like that most people believe that that he would be on the move. I would definitely be interested if all of a sudden across the ticker, you know, we’re sitting there and and Adam Shfter or Jeremy Fowler or Ian Rapaort or somebody, oh, the Raiders just traded for Logan Wilson, linebacker out of the Cincinnati Bengals. I would be very intrigued by that because I think that that could be a difference maker. And he’s a team captain, so you know that he’s got some skins on the wall. You know, he can go out there and play. And like I said, having ball production, ball skills, something that the Raiders need to have more of those guys on the defensive side of things. So those are the players that I thought had some kind of possible ties or actually the Raiders were mentioned by this article on ESPN.com. Obviously, Jacobe Myers, the current Raider, uh Tariq Woolen, cornerback in Seattle. Braxton Jones, offensive tackle for the Bears. Russell Wilson, pass. Evan Neil, offensive tackle and guard for the Giants. And then Logan Wilson at the linebacker position. Let’s start off with Proto calling out of Vancouver. He’s calling to talk about the Raiders biggest need and pass along a very unpopular opinion. His words, not mine. Here he is. Proto in Vancouver. Unpopular opinion. Raider Nation. Unpopular opinion. Hear me out. Just hear me out. Our biggest need is not Max Crosby. I love Max. I do. However, it’s been clear over several years that having him alone is not enough. We need a quarterback. I Raider Nation, we need a quarterback. This has gone long for too long. It’s done. We’re done with this. We need a quarterback. If I need to trade Max to get me a better chance of a quarterback, I’m trading Max. I’m sorry. I don’t know what else to say about it. It’s We need a quarterback. There’s just no way around it, man. I I Here’s the thing. We can’t even trade for a quarterback. You can’t even trade for a quarterback. You can’t find a good quarterback in free agency. You can find a good defensive end in free agency. You can find good defensive tackles in free agency. You can find good both of those things in the second round or the third round, but a quarterback, man. A quarterback, h I don’t know what else to say to you. That’s all I’ve got. I love Matt. I want him to be a Raider for life, but if it comes down to him, a quarterback, I’m getting those draft picks cuz I we need a quarterback. We do. That’s all I got. As always, go Raiders. Proto. Thanks for the call. Appreciate you. You’re not wrong. The Raiders need a quarterback. They need their guy, right? I’ve been saying it for a while now. They need to go into the draft and find their guy. But who is that guy? And are you 100% sure that you’re willing to sacrifice Max Crosby to go get him? Right? If you were to trade him, which I don’t think the Raiders will. We heard all the reports that they’re not interested in in trading him. They put out the little video, little tribute video and everything to let it be known that he’s their guy. He’s there to stay and all that good stuff. But if you are willing to move on from him, you better get it right at the quarterback position. If you don’t, you’ll have a Khalil Mack situation all over again. And my thing is I love college football. I don’t see the one quarterback that I said you got to have it. That’s the guy like I was very adamant about Jaden Daniels. I was very adamant about Jaylen Herz, right? Those two guys I thought were got to have guys. Obviously the Raiders didn’t get them. Um I was Michael Pennix. I liked him. I was I didn’t I wasn’t in love with them. Like 13 overall I wasn’t in love with them. Uh there’s other guys that I’ve liked uh kind of lightweight liked but haven’t been just over the moon. I haven’t seen a guy this year. Mendoza looks like he could be good. Dante Moore looks like he could be good. Ty Simpson looks like he could be good. There’s a handful of guys that look like they could be good, but nobody that just stands out to me like, “Yes, that’s the guy that they’ve got to have.” I haven’t got there yet. I’m working on it, but I haven’t got there yet. So, again, that’s just from me casually loving college football and watching it the way that I do. That one guy just has not stood out to me. So, we’ll see where it goes. You know, Diego Pavia, I like him. He’s a He’s smaller dude, but he’s got a little something in his neck, right? the the young man out of Vanderbilt. He’s got something. So, he might be a guy that uh you know that that ends up emerging. I I don’t know. I don’t know what direction to go, but it’s just not that that one guy where you’re like, “Yep, got to get at the top of the draft and get him.” I haven’t seen him as of yet, but thanks so much for the call, definitely. Or yeah, definitely appreciate the call. Up next, got a text from Wine Maker Raider. Says, “Que Wine Maker Raider here in Walaw Wala, Washington.” I just like saying that. Wala Wala bing bang. Taking a break from making wine to get your well-informed, thoughtful opinions on a few important big picture questions. However, I must start by saying despite the consistent poor play from our beloved Raiders Q, you remain a Raider Nation AllPro and future gold jacket wearer. Love what you and how you’re doing. Love what and how you do your thing. I will never stop listening even if I skip the Raider games to preserve what small slice of sanity remains. And I’ve been watching since the 1974 season. I would like your views on three questions. First, should the Raiders be in a break it down, rebuild mode? By that, I mean they need to focus on a two to threeyear plan to rebuild this team to be competitive. Next, assuming your answer is yes, what type of actions must Spy Techch and Carol consider now and throughout the season to support that effort? Finally, are you all at all concerned that the current leadership that publicly committed to winning now before the season seemingly badly misreading or misread the quality and depth of the roster will not face the realities of our situation and what to do is necessary. And even more specifically, is a 74 year old Pete Carol giving his short time horizon the wrong person to lead a potentially needed rebuild. For the record, I firmly believe we need a rebuild, but we can’t afford to change the coach nor GM at this point. We played 52 card pickup way too many times in the recent past. We need some more consistency and accountability above all else. Just win, baby. At least someday. Why make a raider out? Thank you for the text. Thank you for the compliments, my man. Really do appreciate that and I’m glad that you enjoyed the show. It’s it’s hard because, you know, I want to say, yeah, they should just embrace that they’re in a rebuild, but in honestly, they should have embraced that at the beginning of the season if that’s how they felt. When they looked at and evaluated the roster, they should have known that, yeah, this is topheavy. Uh, we’re good in certain positions and we’re not good in other positions. This isn’t going to go well. And multiple times now, Pete Carroll has said he’s surprised by where they are at this stage of the game. Uh, it’s funny, I asked Trey Wingo when he was on my show on Tuesday. I asked him, you know, if if this is a true tear it on down rebuild, is Pete Carol the right guy for the job? And before I even finish getting it out of my mouth, he’s like, no, no. You know, he could end up being one and done. And I think that that’s the worst case scenario. So my answer to your questions are, yeah, it it probably needs to be a rebuild. As much as I hate to say that, but to your point, firing Pete Carol and bringing another head coach doesn’t make any sense because they keep doing it over and over and over and they can’t keep doing that. So, it feels like to me they’re in a situation where they got to ride this thing out. They got to ride this bad boy out and and they’ve got to put themselves in position to try to win as many games now as possible. At the same time, build for the future. And I said this when they said that that’s what they were trying to do. They’re trying to play both sides of the fence. Win now and build for the future. That is such a difficult game to play. So hard because again, if you’re building for the future, you’re playing young guys like Darren Porter’s playing a lot, right? Astony’s getting a lot of burn. Jack Bess is in there, right? you’re seeing Dante Thornton. Instead, you’re seeing veterans get a lot of play. Right? Look at the linebacking room. There’s all veterans in there, right? You’re not getting a lot of burn from Tommy Iikenberg. You’re not getting a lot of burn from Cody Lindenburg. You’re not getting a lot of burn from guys that are young trying to build this thing up. Instead, you’re going with the veterans because you’re trying to win. So, you know, you can’t have it both ways. You could try, but it’s so difficult. And I’m not at all on board with with firing the head coach and bringing in a new one, bringing in a new philosophy. That to me is just a recipe for disaster and it’s going to have us back right where we are right now next year if the Raiders do that. But thanks so much for the text. Appreciate you. Hopefully that answered your question. At least the best way I know how. Up next, got a call from Rich in the A31. He’s calling about a couple Raiders that are one step closer to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Here’s Rich Rich in the A31. Hey, what’s up Q? It’s Rich from the A31. Hey, um rough rough rough year so far, man. um other than really the first game, but um should try to keep it a little positive at this point. Um really calling about the news about uh I haven’t heard it on the podcast yet was uh Shane Lewler moved on and the big one is Steve Wiznooi moved on u in the Hall of Fame voting. They’re obviously not finalists, but they’re, you know, they’re cutting down the list. Um I’m pounding the table for Whiz Nooki, man. Uh obviously you and I roughly about the same age. Um we both see him play. I mean, the guy’s got as many uh pro bowls as Arshelle, more than Gene Upshaw. And Wizooki was a starter his whole time from the time he was in the NFL as a rookie till when he retired. Starter every year. Art Shell didn’t start his first couple of years and I believe he was on the bench his last year. Gene Upshaw, same thing. Didn’t start maybe his rookie year or second year and was on the bench at the end of his career. Not dogging those two by any means. I’m just trying to get a comparison here. You know, Wiznooi was an was a um all 90s decade team. I mean, I just don’t get why this guy is not in the Hall of Fame. I mean, he was the best guard in the NFL in my opinion uh at his whole 13 years that he played. Um just turn the table for him, man. Just trying to stay positive. Um Leckler, I mean, as we know, is a great punter. Um just trying to trying to change things up, man. Um just kind of tired of trying to fix what’s going on with the Raiders right now. So hopefully we can fix the Hall of Fame a little bit and get another another member of the silver and black in there, man. And you know, I’m pounding the table for Whizki. You know, curious to hear your thoughts. I’m sure you’re a fan as well as I am of Wiznooki. Um yeah, man. And I’m glad Eric Allen’s in the Hall of Fame, but we need another one. Anyways, brother, thanks for all you do. Appreciate it. Go Raiders. Richie Rich, thanks for the call. Yeah, Shane Leckler, Steve Wnooki, two of the 53 modern era players that made it to the next level. Um, I I hate it when it’s so many players still like 53 and they’re cutting it down because they’re going to cut it down and cut it down and keep cutting it down until the week of the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara this year. San Francisco is where, you know, the whole radio row thing is going to happen, but the game will be played in Santa Clara right there in the Great America parking lot. Uh, known as Levi Stadium. They’ll announce it like the night before the Super Bowl or two days before the Super Bowl. So, it’s it’s honor Saturday, I think, is when they announced. No, it’s not. It’s during the week. Maybe it’s Friday. It might be that Friday night of radio row. Uh, I can’t remember what day it is, but they announced it right before the Super Bowl. Um, yeah, Leeler, I think he’s gonna have to wait a little bit longer because he’s a punter. Viznooki should have already been in to your point. I think that he has a really good chance of getting in this year. I hope so cuz everything that you said about him playing that position, that guard position, and being one of the best to ever do it and whistle to whistle and maybe a little through the whistle, he had that nasty to him, but man, he’s a hell of a dude. Such a good dude, man. So, yeah, I think that he should definitely be in. But again, with Leler being a punter, he’s in the Texas Hall of Fame, which is cool. But I think he’s going to have to wait a little bit longer for sure to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Thanks so much for the uh the call, Rich. Definitely appreciate you. We’ll close out with a text from Triton. Hey, it’s Trayon. I understand the offensive line is not in position that we wanted to be in and go performing how we want. We got to work with the players we got. So why not Cam Miller? He could turn into a Jackson Dart. Why not give him a chance? Trayon, thanks for the text and I appreciate you thinking outside the box. Cam Miller is not it yet. Cam Miller is the reason why he’s on the practice squad. He had one good moment. That was preseason game number one. He’s hardly even got any burn as far as practice. Like the backup quarterback doesn’t even get that much practice in burn in in or doesn’t get that much burn in practice, let alone the guy on the practice squad, right? He’s usually the scout team guy. He’s usually a guy that maybe stays after practice and, you know, gets a little tossing session in with some wide receivers that are willing to stick around that he’s not ready for that. He Cam Miller is a guy that, you know, he he’ll he’ll be on the practice squad. He’ll learn. He’ll be in the building. He’ll, you know, maybe get, like I said, some work to the side. He may be a guy that they look at next year. He’s not going to be a guy that that they’re going to turn to this year. If Cam Miller gets onto the field this year, something terribly went wrong, right? They traded for Kenny Picket and they’ve got Aiden Oonnell. One of those two dudes will be in the mix before you see Cam Miller. They only got 10 more games of the regular season guaranteed. Uh there’s no way Cam Miller is going to get into the game. If they do, like I said, something terribly went wrong with the team and that something’s already gone wrong as they’re two and five through seven games. But thanks so much for the text. I do appreciate you. We’ll get to a call from Apex Raider and the 757. We’ll do that tomorrow. Got a text from Fred in Bakersfield. We’ll get that tomorrow as well. We’ll have more news and notes and we’ll have plenty of conversation as we close out the week really strong. So until then, Rare Nation, take care of yourself, take care of your family, love on your family. Most importantly, as always, just win, baby.

We will once again take you inside the locker room as I caught up with one of the Raiders rookies that could be looking at extended playing time following the Bye Week. We will also look at some players that could be on the move before the Trade deadline according to ESPN, including a few players they believe the Raiders will have interest in. Your calls and texts will close the show.

  1. Hey Q why you refuse to talk about real issues, maybe you’re just not built for this media or should I say mr. Nice/ soft guy. Because I know myself and others called in and sent texts to you and you refuse to acknowledge it. Then I see you on the podcast with Big Lincoln Kennedy and Chante and yall would be talking about those same issues. So I guess they twisted your arms lol Nothing personal just a word of thought!

  2. Great video Q … keep it up! I would like to see a new DC …. PG has shown over the past few years … he is horribly inconsistent. We havent had turnovers to speak of since he has been here!

  3. Petes defense is give up the first down to prevent the big play . This leads to lopsided time of possession no chance to run . Just grow some balls and play D your losing any way.
