Yankees need to take the regular season more seriously

I know that a regular season is the regular season. Yeah, but I don’t like the trend of we start hot and go through the low like almost like it’s expected and then expect to get hot late and then go into the playoffs. What? You’ve had multiple years doing that over and over and over again. Let’s buck that trend. They won under their expected amount. Like I’m talking about games that they had winnable that they did not convert into wins. They should have won a lot more games than what they did. How about let’s not take that low like it’s a baseball. Let’s just take it a little bit more serious and try to nip that in the butt a little quicker. It’s been the thing shadowing o over the organization basically since Gerardi left that Gerard was too much of a hard ass. But I’ll tell you what, that 2017 team, Buck Martinez wasn’t calling Blue Jay games saying that the Yankees are a bad baseball team. Everyone on the outside is looking in and just saying, “Are you guys like playing the sport? Why do you guys think you can outthink the sport? What have you proven that you can without judge, man? You start looking at this and you’re like, “What the [ __ ]

  1. It’s the pitching mainly the bullpen. If Williams does his job that’s like 10 wins same as Clay last year. Jazz at 3rd was not our best team which hindered as well. We need guys that don’t K, righty/lefty splits like every other team and bullpen flamethrowers.

  2. Cashman absolutely NEEDS to “complete” the roster this off-season

    No more going into the season with rookies, question marks, journeymen, utility guys, etc.

    Go get an actual “MLB-successful” 1B, SS, 3B, C, 4th SP, 5th SP, 6th inning RP, 7th inning RP, 8th inning RP at ANY COST!!!!

    There is no salary cap in MLB

    One championship in 25 years is unacceptable

  3. All our offense comes in batches. We built a roster to win a 162 game season, not to win three to four playoff series.

    We can't expect to win a title building a roster like it's the 1940s playoff format.
