Home and Hungry! Titans Take On the Patriots | Titans All Access

This week on a brand new Titans All Access, a Titan for life. Jerel Casey is back and he has a message for Titans Nation. I’m here to show y’all that we love y’all and we going to always appreciate your support. Jerel reunites with Jeffrey Simmons. How you been? You been good? Hell yeah. Looking good out there for sure. You’re looking good, boy. Titans fans showed up and showed out in Las Vegas and we were there for the party. Skyhigh grabs. Coach Mack takes a closer look at this year’s light out. Plus, making the band, Cedric Gray and Jaylen Harrell pick their Titans choir crew. I don’t know if he can sing that well, but that boy got a fire playlist. Like fire playlist. All that and more on this Titans All Access. [Music] Welcome to Titans All Access. I’m Amy Wells coming to you from the Bet MGM studio. Last week, Titans fans took over Las Vegas for a pregame road rally at Old Red and they painted the Vegas strip two-tone blue. Titans legends Kyle Vandenbos and Jerel Casey were there for all the fun. Let’s check it out. Tighten up, baby. Live from Vegas. This party time. Let’s go. Titan Nation, what’s up? What’s up, Titan Up baby? How y’all doing today? Everybody having a good one? You having a good one? How we doing tonight? [Applause] Turn it up. Turn it up. How you doing? [Music] Man, it just means everything, dude. When you get to get off that field and you can still feel the love, it’s a difference, right? Cuz when you on the field, you already know they’re going to cheer on for you. You already going to know they’re going to love on you. But when you get off that field, it’s easy to be forgotten as a player cuz we wear helmets. So when you come out here and you can constantly still feel that love and they can recognize you walking off the street just as a normal person. It’s it’s the greatest thing you can ask for. I thank the Lord every day for it. Definitely. Titans. Titans. Man, I wish I could have been there. Now, Jerel just didn’t hang out with Titans fans at the road rally on game day. He was on the field with the players where he reconnected with his protege. What’s up? What’s up? It’s your boy Drew Casey the touted monster. We out here at the radio stadium. We about to turn up, go to work. Tighten up, y’all. Let’s get it in. Let’s go. Yes, sir. Tighten up, baby. You’re the only reason I’m a train fan. Appreciate that. There we go. All love, man. What’s up, man? I see you. You’re looking good. Good to see you as well. How you doing, Mr. Chad? Hey, how you doing? Nice to meet you. Yeah, good to meet you. Oh my goodness, man. I see you, dude. Good to see you, boy. Thank you all the time. Yes, sir. Been a great person. Appreciate you. Appreciate it. Have a blessing. Good seeing you, bro. Yes, sir. Hey, what’s up, Joe? What’s up, D? Doing good. Nice to see you. Looking good, dude. There go dogs right there. Let’s get it, boys. Let’s get it, boys. Let’s get it, big dogs. Let’s get it. Let’s get it, big dogs. Let’s get it, Big J. Let’s get it, big dog. Get it, big bro. Let’s do it. Let’s get it, baby. What up? What up? What up? Yes, sir. How you doing? Yes, sir. I won’t forget. Can’t lead no boys, bro. Can’t lead no boys. Watch out. Watch out for you. You don’t want these dogs. What’s up, Cy? Good man. What’s up? Good. Get it, Big Jeff. Let’s get it. How you been? You been good? Hell yeah. Looking good out there. You’re looking good, boy. Appreciate it. Appreciate you. Yes, sir. You have a great one. Yes, sir. Blessings. Yes, sir. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. There’s more with Jerel on the way, including his life-changing turning point. Cuz I was following right behind him down that same dark path. Plus, the Titans wide receivers take flight. Coach Mack has a first class seat with this year’s pass catchers. Welcome back to Titans All Access, the one place where we bring you closer to your favorite team. That would be the Tennessee Titans. There’s been a lot of new additions to the wide receiver group this season. And so the great Dave McInness was at practice watching the pass catchers for this week’s film review presented by Co-Pilot Plus PC. [Music] This is Coach Mack. Today we’re concentrating on the wide receivers. Ty Tolbert has started off in the end zone throwing back shoulder throws to the pylon. This is a good high-point drill. You can see that Tikeke has got the extra extension. He’s the defensive back. There you go. This is a very important drill here. So, it’s important for the quarterback that he’s got throwing the ball to place it where the receivers can get high point and go get it. This is an option route. The coach is playing the defender with a long sleeve on his hand. They’re going to go in in in break out. They’re always catching the ball. I mean, it’s constant. It’s everything. And what you also notice is they’re everybody’s getting the ball thrown to them. They’ve got they’ve got all kind of they’ve got all the quarterbacks throwing balls to everybody, but I mean, timing and tempo. Timing and tempo. That’s what the passing game is. Timing and tempo. I had to go get a cover up. But in the rain, you’re going to play ball games in the rain. You got to learn how to operate. It’s a wet ball drill with mother nature. Today, Tobbert demands that his receivers be good blockers at the second level and at the third level. Most long runs are broken because receivers do a good job of blocking at the second and the third level. You got to make quick quick decisions down here in the red zone. All the routes down here have to be shorter. All all the routes have to be quicker. That’s a really nice breakdown on the receivers. We got to see some good quality red zone work, them having to block during the team period. Receivers are involved in the game. Nice job today. [Music] Cedric Gray has been a tackling machine this season. He leads the Titans with 56 total tackles and in the last three games alone, he’s racked up 440 takedowns. Very impressive for the secondyear pro. We caught up with Cedric and his linebacker buddy Jaylen Harold to ask them some hard-hitting questions. A good 50. Good. A good 50. Keep keep it going. I’m Cedric Gray. I’m Jaylen Harrell. And this is Neighbors. Yeah. They said if you’re building your dream choir, who is in your group? Dream Choir who can sing in my stash. I was waiting for this day to come. Yeah, come on. Okay, hold on. I’mma get Jaylen on there. Yeah, I’m going to get Bryce Oliver. I don’t know if he can sing that well, but that boy got a fire playlist. Like fire playlist. Ardan going to be the lead just because of the energy. If you could rename a waterburger item after a teammate, who would it be and why? Ardan Key. What item would it be though? A burger. But why though? He wild. Like Ardan got a lot of personalities. What you put on your burger? Lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles. You know what I’m saying? My boy Ardan, he just he be all over the place. You know what I’m saying? Let’s see what we got here. If you had to be on a reality show, what would it be? Probably Survivor. I feel like I have a great team with me, too. If it was my show, you know, I would have picked my team. And like I said, we going to survive on that. He would he would he would want to be on baddies. Crazy. Up next, Titans legend Jerrell Casey is feeling the love from the fans. Every alumni should should love to come back and show their support to the fans. One, that’s that’s why we do the game. That’s what we out here for. What’s up? This your boy Gerald Casey, the padded monster. Mortals hit. Mortals sack. Jerel Casey. Oh my goodness. Casey went ramic through there. He’s tired of hearing about the other 99. That makes the noise. That was the one and only Jerel Casey. Over nine seasons, Jerel was a dominant force in the Titans trenches where he earned five straight Pro Bowl selections. With his relentless play and steady leadership, Jerel helped set the standard for Titans football on and off the field. He will forever be a part of the Titans family and of course a fan favorite as we’ll see in Beyond the Pads presented by Nissan. Definitely a pleasure and an honor to be in front of this podium one more time in front of the Titan Nation. Um, just want to say thank you to the organization. They kept open arms. You know, they they they they said, you know, case, you’re a Titan for life, your family, and you know, we love you over here. And I just want to say thank you’all again for showing me the love and, you know, welcome me back home to been Titan. When I decided to retire as a Titan, uh, probably was one of the biggest days of my career. uh definitely thought I was going to be going and stopping and been with the with the Broncos for a few years. But when I when that time came and I sat down with my wife and talked to Drew on the phone, my agent, and we just sitting there thought um talking. I’m just going through my emotions and trying to figure out my decision. And it was literally only one decision I had. It was not going bouncing from team to team. I thought I did a great job of, you know, leaving my mark on the organization and leaving my mark on the NFL that I wasn’t going to go tarnish that. So, it was only one option for me and that’s go back and retire where my my initial start was and that’s here in Tennessee. From start to finish, no let off the brakes. All pedal, baby. All pedal down three. 1 2 3 for me and my wife and the kids. We always been loyal and that’s always our thing. Always been loyal to the to the root of everything. And so it was a no-brainer for me to get back to Tennessee and show them what my final commitment was through it all. And I just thank them for having open arms and letting me come back with no problem and being able to retire as a Titan. At the end of the day, man, uh I did what I said I wanted to do and I wanted to play for the Titans. The best ball you got. Let’s start now. The best ball you got. We don’t leave nothing out there. We better leave it still train. Let’s get this thing rocking. I don’t want it quiet in here for the fourth quarter. Put those fours up. Let’s tighten up, baby. It means a ton to keep on coming back. I think uh every alumni should should love to come back and show their support to the fans. One, that’s that’s why we do the game. That’s what we out here for is to put on a show and entertain. And the fans, they out there every week cheering us on. They spend their hard on money to come out and watch us go out there and play a game of football. So, I think it’s just um respectful and the right thing to do to go out there and just show them the love the same way they show you the love. And one thing that always put the icing on the cake is when you come back and the people of the organization, you know, when they just give you those big smiles and tell you how much they miss you and things like that, it just fills your hearts with joy. So, definitely appreciate it. Every time I come back and whenever I get a moment, I definitely will be here. Miss Amy, how you doing? You doing good? I’m slim and trim now. Trying trying to stay looking good like you, you know. What’s up? What’s up, Titans fans? How y’all doing today? Make some noise in this joint. Let’s go. This been my second road rally is a is a blast. It’s just, you know, to be a Tennessee Titans fan and you go places, a lot of times you don’t hear a lot of people, you know, yelling for Titans, Titans, Titans, right? So when you get on these road games and you get out there and you go into those stadiums into the uh facilities, the bar, wherever we’re going to meet these fans, and you see that room just in there packed with nothing but Titan Nation gear on and they going crazy, yelling, it’s the most joyful thing you can have as been a Titans player and I love it a lot. And it’s something that, you know, I go out there and I’m I’m keep on putting on the show, keep on showing up for these people to show that, hey, I’m here to show y’all that we love y’all and we going to always appreciate your support. What up? What up? What up? How y’all doing? Y’all doing good? All right. All right. Doing good. Yeah. There we go. Blessings. We got a $100 gift card from Kroger’s. We’re going to bless you today. So, you don’t got to worry about ringing that up or that if you run that for whatever left on there is yours. I come from a struggling community. I come from a area where everybody was in need. Everybody had to go out to the neighborhood. You had Willie Mcuinness. You have Snoo Dog. So you had these guys that came to the neighborhood through Thanksgiving throughout the time of year, backpack giveaways, bike giveaways. So it was just always something that you always seen. And so when you get to that next level in life for yourself, the first thing that always goes in your mind is how much can I give back? $100 gift card from my young man and his mom’s for y’all. Happy Thanksgiving from the Titans family and the Kroger’s family themselves. Thank you. Appreciate y’all. So the Casey fund as of right now, our goals is always to try to bridge that prison the pipeline and trying to, you know, dismantle it as much as possible. Our biggest thing right now is just constantly just generating funds and finding programs that’s constantly doing, you know, the Lord’s work and blessing those people with the greatest opportunities possible. Just thank the Lord that one, we talking about the case fund. My brother just came home. So one of the biggest motivations of why we decided to put this program together. So right now our goal is to get him more involved with the Casey fund and get him speaking and talking to the youth and get him motivating the kids to make a change in their life. So right now we just, you know, getting grounds running. Me and my brother, we’re tightnit relationship. We uh grew up together in the same household. We played ball together. We freaking slept in the same bed together. We done everything together. So when my brother went to prison, it was a definitely a a hard time for me, but it was the biggest thing that could have made a change in my life to get me to where I’m at. Everybody always talk about what’s the switch in your life that motivates you to become successful. And the the switch for me was my brother going to jail. And uh it kind of changed my lifestyle cuz I was following right behind him down that same dark path. And it actually helped me brighten up my world and how I see things today. And so I just thank say say thank you to him and thank you to the Lord for sure. But the biggest thing is that when he was locked up the time the whole time he he was the person that I got feedback from all the time he gave me calls. He told me, “Hey, you lacking here. You need to fix this. You need to do that.” And he was the he was the person who loved football. I didn’t really love it that much. I just played it just because he played it. So to take those pointers and take his feedback was a big deal for me. I’m watching him. So you go inside. So inside first the world you come back out there that you see what you said I swipe it boy embrace this thing have fun baby embrace it and have fun man was one let’s give us one fellas I go visit him all the time every year when it was offseason time go see him check on him and things like that so we’re going to spend this next holiday season spending time with my brother as his his first holiday back home so we’ll be down there with him for Thanksgiving Christmas and New Year’s sorry uh family-in-law We will not see all this year. Yes. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. [Music] The next thing I want to do in 5 years is uh really the biggest goal is to buy some farmland and really move my family all out there and just enjoy our time in life and not not struggling off of financial needs and things like that. Um, so I think that’s my biggest thing in the next next five years is buying a plot of land and be able to come out there and enjoy my family and let them be able to come and live and enjoy off me. Go. We’re going home, baby. Hey, we’re going home with a job. We’re going home victorious, baby. Being in Tennessee would have meant to me a lot to build my reputation was a ton. I think the biggest thing was just leaving the mark of not necessarily who I was as a football player, but who I was as an individual all on in and off the field. And I tried to make sure I stayed consistent of that all the time, no matter who I was around, no matter who I dealt with. And I just hope that, you know, my my brand and my loyalty and my faith uh definitely was left and everybody appreciate what I done in Tennessee. For sure. Yes, sir. Tighten up, baby. Dude, you’re the only reason I’m a fan. Appreciate that. There we go. All love, man. Straight ahead, Jeffrey Simmons is wired for game day. Damn ball. You ain’t snapping god ball. Hey Titans fans, Jules Velicette here with you on Titans All Access for this week’s social media blitz. There’s no one quite like Jeffrey Simmons. He’s a force on the field and trust me, just as entertaining to listen to. We had Big Jeff miked up for the game against the Las Vegas Raiders. And as always, he brought the energy and wasn’t shy about a little smack talk either. No surprise there. You won’t want to miss it. Come on. Let’s go do this. Party in the back field. It’s a party in the back field. Hey, don’t meet me there. You better beat me there. No stinging at the line of scrimmage. Get off every time. Get off. You too little. This for real. I’m him. This too easy. It’s too easy. This my Come on. I see you, boy. Do it again. [Applause] I see you, boy. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Feel me? Yes, sir. Feel me? Yes, sir. Feel me? Yes, sir. Sam. Oh, got him again. Got him again. Got him again. Got him again. Got him again. Y’all can’t with us. They can’t with us. They can’t with us. You got to love this. Go put the foul. Hey, put the foul. Come on, man. Defense on three. One, two, three. No, you’re not. You not slapping that down ball. You ain’t snapping the damn ball. All that damn. You ain’t snapping the goddamn ball, Gino. You ain’t snapping the damn ball. No sir. No sir. No sir. You better put two on me. Better put two on me. I’m about done. Come on. Come on. Use a kid. Use a kid. This a grown ass man’s game. Why I said just one play at a time. Everybody just do their job. Don’t worry about nothing else. All job. Come on. Come on. Much love, bro. Much love to you, bro. Keep leaving. Keep leaving, bro. Man, I need that. Keep going, boy. After the break, we introduce you to interim head coach Mike McCoy. Almost got sacked and he threw it away and it’s picked off. In trouble down he goes. They got it back at the 28 yd line. Hey Jeff, we’re back with more Titans All Access. The New England Patriots roll into Nashville to take on the Titans for week seven. Here are the four things you need to know presented by Siki to get you ready for this matchup. Number one, on Monday, the Titans named Mike McCoy the team’s interim head coach. Prior to his new role, Mike was the Titans senior offensive assistant. Number two, this is coach McCoy’s first season with the Titans, but his 23rd in the NFL. He’s coached all over the league where he helped develop quarterbacks such as Philip Rivers, Payton Manning, and Trevor Lawrence. Before his time in Denver, San Diego, Arizona, and Jacksonville, he helped the Carolina Panthers reach Super Bowl 38. Number three, in his introductory press conference on Tuesday, Coach McCoy said he knows what needs to be done to help this team win football games. So, we got to go out there and play with great energy, great effort, play with the swagger. um complimentary football, all three phases playing together. That that’s the that’s the big thing. And number four, the Titans are back home in Nissan Stadium this Sunday after a long 3-w week stretch on the road. This game marks their crucial catch matchup supporting the fight against cancer. Kickoff is set for noon central and it looks like we’ll finally get some true fall football weather. Those are your four things to know. We’ll see you on Sunday. Thanks, Jules. I am so ready to be back at Nissan Stadium in front of Titans fans. You have no idea how excited I am. Our pregame radio coverage begins at 11 o’clock local time with Titans Countdown getting you ready for the big game. For Jules Velica, I’m Amy Wells.
