Foligno and hinostroza winning sick nasty thumb wars on the back check.

Accomplishing unprecedented levels of defensive metrics.

Give them both 2nd line minutes, double powerplay, and 5×5 NMC Billy Bigs, time meow

  1. Is that good?

Imagine getting a mediocre contract like a 4×4 and immediately making it look like shit, then having it look like even more shit every day that passes for the next 4 years. Couldn’t be Marcus. Who could have ever seen that coming?

  2. Yeah no, no one who actually follows hockey uses plus/minus to judge a player’s defensive metrics.

By your standards, Nikita Kucherov, Jared Spurgeon, Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson, Brayden Point, and many others must be WAY worse than Marcus Foligno since their +/- is worse.

  3. There were games where Foligno was the best player on the ice. And he ain’t afraid to fight. This is a man’s game. Fologno is a gem.

That said, imho he’s part of the “Old Wild”, and the Old Wild aren’t winning.

Bring in the new kids, they’re faster – this is a new era the Wild need to embrace or they’ll get embarrassed just like the NJ game. The game has changed. It’s a speed and skill game now.
