NBA LIVE! Los Angeles Lakers vs Indiana Pacers October 24, 2025 | 2025 NBA Season Live 2K
Heat. Heat. N. [Music] So the Lakers will get the first possession here. So a look at the starters for the Pacers. Hallebertton and Nhard make up the back court. Ascal Seakum out there with Tophen. And it’s knee smith in at the three, the small forward. Aimura up top. Guarded by Topphen. Just four to shoot. Let’s go with a three. The shot by Reeves. No good. And he probably thought he was going to bury that one. And last season, the Pacers started the playoffs with homecourt advantage for the first time in over a decade. Grant. Yeah, the fourth seed in the East. And with a blend of youth and experience on the roster, this is a team built to win now and into the future. And that gets us rolling. What a tremendous atmosphere in here tonight. Boy, I tell you, you’re right. You can feel this one looking like it’s going to be a tight one throughout. The one hand dump just looks so fluid. Yeah, absolutely. Even smooth when he’s powering it home like that. Part of what makes him unique, guys, that combination of power and polish. Here’s Hallebertton. Back to Nimhart. The open shot. Siaka. Donic pulls down the board with the defense absent. That was a great opportunity, but no go. James finds Donic. Screen by James. The open shot. Donic. And Topphen pulls it down. Just over a minute and a half in. Hallebertton outside. Hachimura against Topham. Pass to Seakum going inside over Aiden. Seakum. No good. That’s a decent look for him. He just couldn’t convert. James outside back to Aimura. Donic on the wing defended by Hallebertton. And Dantic hammers it home. Boy, it’s so impressive to see Dantic at his size handle the ball the way he does. As a defender, he can really put you on your heels. Hallebertton out of bounds. It’ll be Lakers ball. Well, Lakers games draw big names. And tonight, we’ve seen Soulja Boy hanging out with the fans. You know, the Lakers have even made it into some of his lyrics. You know, the fans here love that and they always enjoy checking out who might be in the crowd with them at a game here in the first. Just under two and a half minutes played so far. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. Back to Aimura. Pass to James. Shoots over Nesmith and there’s James on the assist from Aimura. James has got his second basket of the game. Top screen on Reeves. and he takes it in for the layup off a very nice feed. That’s exactly where to wants to attack you inside at close range [Music] outside. Reeves and he makes it on the layup. James has got six attacking in the painted area. Clearly that was their game plan coming in. Outside Nesmith pass to Seakkum. Here’s Topphen. [Applause] Six on the shot clock. Alleton outside. The three is up. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce. Well, JJ Reick had a few moments to share with me. I asked him what his strategy was for slowing down Tyresese Hallebertton and he said to guard him tightly even when he’s dribbling the ball up the floor. I want us to be aggressive. I don’t want to give up any breathing room. Let’s see how much pressure they bring tonight against him. Back over to you guys. Great work, Ally. Thanks. Pacers trail by six. Nimhard outside. Hallebertton outside. There’s Nith with the three. counted from distance. Hallebertton has such a really good feel for the game. He knows exactly how to get his guys to step up. Outside Reeves [Music] good on the shot. You want to run your offense through him. A reliable scoring option. Top outside. High post. Seakum. Nimhard outside. [Applause] Clock at six. Hallebertton on the wing. The shot off that time. Oh, great D that time from Donic to the paint and Aton with the stop. Excellent timing by Aiden on the alley pass. He’s perfectly positioned to throw it down. And timeout called by Rick Carine. [Applause] N Smith with it. James is there. Back to Nmith. Pass to Toppin. Alleird outside. Shot clock at six. offline with a three. Los Angeles leading by seven. Aimura. The pass to Donic and Donic hammers it home. Their offense is looking like a welloiled machine getting any look they want. Boy, this is borderline ridiculous. I mean, every single attempt finding the bottom of the bucket. And the basket by Hallebertton. Hallebertton always relentless in attacking, making it tough for the defense to find a way to contain it. James inside covering. Donic passes to James. Double team on James from deep. Here’s Donic. The rebound by Nimhard. Pacers trail by seven. Pass to Seakum. Top of the screen on Aiden. Tries the spin move. Here’s Seakum. The layup off target. Oh, gritty defense protecting the rim at all costs against a guy who has all sorts of ways to finish. There’s James on the wing. Smith covering from deep. Here’s Donic. That one doesn’t go. He’s just two for five. Hey, it was a good look. one he normally capitalizes on. Some changes now for the Lakers. Vanderbilt’s checked in for Achimura. And Smart subbed in for Reeves. Then for Indiana Bradley, he’s checked in for Pascal Seakum. Matherin comes in for Nmith. And it’s McConnell in for Nimhart. McConnell outside. Pass to Matherin. fires the three. That one’s good on the assist from McConnell. He’s got that guard quickness. Matherin showing off his catch and shoot ability. The screen on McConnell. Throws it up high. Oh, it’s stolen. It’s a one-on-one situation. Matherine with a ball picked up by James. The Lakers in the lead. You know, looking at TJ McConnell’s start in the NBA, is it fair to say his days during the process era of the Sixers helped him? I don’t think there’s any question, but I think PJ PJ came to the game with an edge. I watched him play in high school and was couldn’t take my eyes off of him because he just made plays, whether it was stealing the ball, pressuring the ball, driving and creating for teammates. I mean, he plays with u such confidence and energy and tenacity. It’s um he’s a valuable player to have in your second. And here’s Smart. He’ll bring it up for the Lakers. Clea screen on McConnell. Pass to Cleba. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. Hey, if you can’t block it, sending him to the line can be the next best thing. Yeah, exactly. Prevent the layup. Give them a little bump and then maybe they’ll think twice about coming into the lane next time. And if they don’t think about it, at least they might be distracted by your presence. Two shots. [Applause] First free throw is good. Well, Grant, the Lakers captured the three seed last season, but only the eighth best point differential in the West. What does that tell you? It tells me that they overachieved in the regular season, but a team this star-studded has postseason aspirations as well. That’s where they’ll look to improve. [Applause] And good on the second, so he makes them both. The 2025 playoffs had some incredible comebacks, Clark. Indiana had some alltimers. Yeah, it was absolutely unreal. The excitement, the drama, the close finishes. I mean, unbelievable. How about these wins for the Pacers? Down by seven with less than 40 seconds against the Bucks. Got it done. Also trailed by seven with under a minute versus the Cavs. Won that one. And losing by nine in the last minute against the Knicks and came through again with a win. And even in the finals, they made some miraculous comeback wins against OKC. Had at least one miraculous comeback win. So an amazing clutch playoff performance by the Indiana base. Smart passes to Donic and once again off the mark by Los Angeles. Indiana on offense. They’ve got a 12-2 run in progress. All right, let’s check in with Alli Leforce. Hey, the Pacers have shown that they can be a threat in the East. Coach Rick Carile said there’s nothing wrong with high expectations. What you don’t want is a situation of apathy where expectations are low and all you’re ever doing is selling hope. That’s not why I came here. Back over to you, Brian. They are for real. All right, Ally. Appreciate the report. To the middle. Larabia outside. Off target from three-point range. Indiana leading by three. Two. Pass to Merin. A shot. No good. Excellent D there from Lrabia. The Lakers have got eight of 15 shots to go. Donic finds Smart. Puts up a three. Walker pulls down the board. Indiana’s gone three for five from deep so far in this matchup. Mather and Indiana again with the bucket. And you got to be right up on Matherin, especially when he’s roaming around the mid-range. And for the Lakers, they’re shooting a solid 50% in the opening quarter. And you can count it. He’ll go to the line with a chance at a three-point play. So Vanderbilt will go to the free throw line. It’s on Jarus Walker. And a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from here for the Pacers. You know, so far in this one, these guys have been knocking it down from distance. You’ve got to like their confidence as this game continues. They’re on a nice roll, man. We got to talk about how pestering they’ve been on defense, forcing turnovers and finding ways to score off them. The free throw dropped for Vanderbilt and it’s Indiana’s ball. They’re on a 16 to five run. McConnell passes to Seakum. Down low. Here’s Bradley. Oh, he goes up high for the two-handed slam. One of his specialties on display there. A nifty lead back pass. Lakers trail by four. Donic outside and Donic hammers it home. You can’t let Donic get the positioning he seeks or he’ll dunk all over you. McConnell finds Mather. Tries again. Rebounded by the Lakers. Donic right side. Oh, it’s stolen by Seakkum. Nazid up top. Four seconds separating the shot and game clocks. Kicks it out to Smart. Launches a three. Bradley grabs the board. Here’s Shepard. Guarded by Donic. Pass to McConnell. And here’s Seakum. It’s good. It’s good at the buzzer. Wow. Great job ending the quarter on a high note. Nothing like knocking down that last possession of a quarter to give you a little feelgood momentum. And we’ve reached the end of the first quarter. Indiana ahead up four. And back to the start of the second quarter in just a moment. [Applause] [Applause] Hope you’ve enjoyed the broadcast so far. Halfway through the first half in this one. All right, let’s quickly break down the game we’ve seen from the Pacers so far, guys. But what I love is the tremendous belief in their bench. They were looking for points and their reserves delivered and you know when the bench is playing such a big role early that certainly allows the starters to stay fresh throughout the game on the court for the Pacers. Second quarter underway that power forward it’ll be Matherin and Seakum Shepard is out there with TJ McConnell and it’s Bradley in at the Seakum outside. McConnell looking around. Bradley sets a screen to the inside. Count it. All three of his attempts have gone in. Grant, you played in a more physical era of the NBA. Now, it seems like the league is trying to strike a balance there. I think you’re spot on, BA. There’s been some back and forth trying to keep the game free flowing and physical. The league’s trying for the best of both worlds. Reeves, the pass to Smart. Nice ball movement by Los Angeles. Oh, that doesn’t go on the chance to tie McConnell outside. Pass to Seakum inside and he dumps it. What a pass to set him up. Yeah, this is how impactful Matherin can be in close. He loves jamming it home. Clea outside. Now here’s Reeves. Labraia outside. [Applause] Oh, got a piece of it. Kicks it out to Smart from deep. Bradley grabs the board. Bradley’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Indiana leading by five. [Applause] Seakum looking it over. pass to McConnell. Floats one up. Smart with the defensive effort. Los Angeles has gone one for three from downtown here in the second. Larabia and once again off the mark by Los Angeles. Seakum. The pass to Bradley and he jams it home with authority. Woo. Defensively, you can’t afford to let him get to the rim that easily. Well, that might be why their deficit is what it is right now. You know, you look at it, the communication is lacking, as is the trust. They can ill afford those types of breakdowns. It won’t work. You can’t win with those kind of breakdowns. Vanderbilt no good for Indiana. They’ve gone three of five since the beginning of the second. Pass to McConnell. Indiana. Let’s [Applause] [Applause] go. Let’s go. Let’s go. [Applause] Here’s Vanderbilt. Outside. Reeves. Benson outside. Back to Reeves. They still need this. court. He brings it down with a two-handed jam. Reeves throws that one down. Held nothing back. Here’s Hallebertton. McConnell outside. Pass to Seakkum. Sanderbild with the block. Here’s Vincent. Out of bounds as Los Angeles keeps possession. And Los Angeles making a change here. Hayes has checked in for Los Angeles. Number 11, Jackson Hayes down low. And he hammers that one down right in the face of Tyrese Hallebertton. Oh, I love this guy. Even when they’re trailing, he works hard to put on a show. Hey, that might be just what they need right now. I agree. I mean, now’s when they need a spark the most. Pacers leading by six. Well, Jackson Hayes, a rim running center with explosive athleticism. Yeah, he’s a constant lob threat. I mean, plays well above the rim. He sets solid screens. He’s got pretty good feet, so he’s able to get out of his screens quickly, rebounds, protects the paint. I mean, he plays his role at a high level, and he shot over 70% from the field multiple times in his young career. And he’ll be shooting his first free throw. Some changes for Los Angeles. Clea, he’s checked in for Hayes. And Donic has subbed in for Vincent. [Applause] Lakers trail by nine. Outside connect back to Reeves. Vanderville. The screen on Hallebertton and here’s Reeves outside. Indiana with a rebound. Yeah, and the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line to the inside. Vanderbilt, the pass to Reeves. The three ball. Cliff shot is good. Donic making the play. Reeves has got eight here in this quarter. Shooting from a rock solid base that gives Austin just the added range he was looking for. [Applause] Seakam against Vanderbilt. Six to shoot to the middle. Here’s Bradley and the powerful one-handed slam and adds a few more points to their lead. Showing off some style. Wow, that was prime time stuff right there, guys. as it is symbolic of their effort here tonight. Outside Reeves, this one for three. Rebounded by Hallebertton. And so it’s Hallebertton with it. He brings it up for the Pacers. Eight-point game. Pass to Seakum. Here’s McConnell. Back to Seakum. Seakum off the bounce. And Seyakum with the slam. Oh, coming in. Seakum outside. [Applause] Donic against Hallebertton. Rebound by the Lakers. Donic has got four rebounds now. Pass to James. [Applause] [Music] Good T. A better from LeBron. Fighting through contact. Not easy trying to corral LeBron when he’s focused on scoring. Good luck with that. There’s a screen outside. Nmith. Here’s Seakov. The Lakers with the rebound. Smith outside. Ball stolen. Now here’s N Smith. Check by James. The Pacers again. can’t hit. I think he’d love to have that one back. Got the ball right where he wanted to and couldn’t convert. Smith outside. Back to James. Out to Aimura. The three is up. Nice start for him. Sinking his first shot. Impressive shot from Hachimura showing why you got to be up on him defensively. Hallebertton. The pass to N Smith. Nimhard outside. trains the triple. Nimhart’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. Pacers leading by eight. Seakum outside. Pass to Hallebertton. Now here’s Nimhard covered by Smith. Nith passes to Seakum. shoots over Aton and it’s good as he snugs it right through the net. Eight points for Pascal Seakum using focus and balance to convert jumpers. Wow. Seakum has really improved his shooting [Applause] to the paint. That one’s good from Aimura on the assist by James. Aimura’s got five points in the quarter and timeout called by Rick Carile. He’s going to gather the troops and talk it over. [Applause] [Music] All day that you all came back like this. It’s going to take patience. Check up steady maintenance. Yeah, you might lose homies or you might make friends. Thought you get it in a year. It might take the real service. Do you know your purpose? Oh yeah. I remember you always doubed on the kid what they tend to do. It turns on motivation what they said to you. Hey man like this take patience work checkies you might get it in a year it might take the service. Do you know your purpose? Oh yeah. I remember you always checked in to the Lakers. And the Pacers also making a change. Mather’s checked in. [Applause] [Applause] And so it’s Hallebertton with it. He brings it up for Indiana. They’re leading by eight. Outside. Nmith. Connects from downtown. Nmith’s got six. When Matan’s creating for his teammates, his offensive impact goes way up. A moment to hear from Alli Leforce. Thanks, guys. Well, LeBron is keeping it going. He said, “I appreciate these young guys coming up in the ranks and doing great things. I hope to have inspired them to carry it on when I decide that I’m done and keep this beautiful game going. Not just the league, but the purity of the game. That is what’s most important.” Brian, back over to you. He’s left an imprint. No question. Thanks a lot, Ally. And Luca Donuch is going to pick up the foul. That’s foul number two for him. Reeves has checked in for Connect. Second team B. Now into the lineup, your lookers, number 15, Austin Reed. Here’s Toppin outside Min. Just five on the clock and Aiden pulls it down. Aiden’s got rebound number five here tonight. and no good. Hallebertton with some nice D. Indiana leading by nine. Pass to Matherin. It’s a nice passing by Indiana here. Nimhard against Reeds. Puts it up from 12. Nmith. It’s good on the put back. He really gets in perfect position for the follow. Just a terrific read. Here’s James on the wing. Puts it up from 12. Mather with a rebound. Indiana’s gone three of four from outside so far in the second quarter. Hallebertton finds Matherin. And it’s Indiana scoring again. And right now, Matherin is on a roll. This young guy continues to do whatever he wants. [Applause] Pass to James. Up top, Aiden. [Applause] Nim hard against Reeds to the insides. Here’s James and slam dunk by James. An ultra competitor in everything he does. LeBron doesn’t go up just for the simple layup. He wants to throw it down. And here’s Merin. Check by James. Toppin outside on the ark. Rebounded by the Lakers. Here’s James on the wing. He’s covered by Matherin. James passes to Dantic off target with the three. Indiana leading by 11. Two second difference between shot and game clock. Three-pointer. Hallebertton rebounded by the Lakers. Aiden’s got six rebounds now in the game. Down low. Here’s Aimura. The shots good on the assist by James. James has got four assists in the game. Boy, you got to love that assist by LeBron. And the defense has no one to blame but themselves. They just let him get right to the rim. And you know, he’s the second half begins with very different goals for these teams. One side trying to mount a comeback, one side trying to protect their lead. Nice game. Great performance by Benedict Matherin. Yeah, they’ve done an amazing job of creating room to operate for him and then of course executing. You know what? It helped that they had a few guys with very hot hands on the perimeter, too. And so it’s Hallebertton with it. He brings it up for the Pacers. 11-point game. Aimura at power forward with Aiden at center. Reeves and LeBron out on the perimeter. And it’s Donuchin at the point guard position. That’s the group for JJ Reick getting going here in the second half. A gritty play by Seakkum. Absorbs the foul and still gets his shot to go. You know, Grant, for a guy who started playing basketball at age 17, Seakkum has put together quite the resume. The NBA, Pascal is a champion. He’s got multiple all-star and AllNBA selections and one of the great developmental stories when you think about his discovery through basketball without borders. That’s good from Seakum. Looking back at the start of his career, Seiakum only took a year or two to make his mark. And you know, BA, he’s just the kind of guy we love watching play. I mean, you know what you’re going to get from him every night. Tremendous effort and the ability to impact the game at both ends. He’s consistent, reliable, steady, and he can be explosive at the offensive end. Indiana leading by 12. Toppin outside. Nice. [Applause] Seakum with a screen on James. Nmith shot is off. He is just so deadly from out there. You expect that to fall. [Applause] Donic passes to Aiden. Machimura outside from Deep Reeves and Toppin pulls it down. Toppin’s got four rebounds now. Seakum against Hachimura. Pass to Topphen. Nimhard outside. Shot clock at six. Step back shot and it’s good for two. Nimart’s got five points. A and just not letting up at all. I mean, you have to love this approach. You want to get the ball to the guys who make plays. If it’s working, keep working it. That’s what I say. Keep the pressure on. And it’s Donic missing. Pacers leading by 14. Here’s Hallebertton. Nimhart for three. And Aiden pulls it down. Aton’s got eight rebounds in the game. Here’s Dashic. The shot goes down. Very quick possession right there. 10 points for him. Well, you know, Donic with his combined package of skill and confidence, that pull up jumper is a real weapon for him. Hallebertton the pass to Seakum. Not quite 2 and 1/2 minutes played here in the second half. A bit undized. His hops make him a legit small ball four. Pass to Aimura inside. And here’s Reeves outside. Can’t bury it. His fifth miss in nine tries. Hallebertton. The pass to Seakkum. [Applause] Toppin outside from behind the ark. Offensive rebound. Pacers. He gets it in there. Seiakum’s got five points in the quarter. A fantastic athlete. You love the effort Seakum shows on the glass to keep plays going. Donic passes to Achimura. The open shot by James with nobody on him. He buries that jumper. Strong performance from him, but he may need to do even more if they’re going to win this game. [Applause] Toppin outside pass to Nhard. There’s the triple and Aiden pulls it down. Lakers trail by 14. Donic with it. Picked up by Nmith. Donic into the lane [Music] and slammed it home and a goal. A chance at another point at the line. Aaron Smith picks one up. Tell you what, guys, that’s not an easy finish, but somehow Dantic makes it look rather effortless. At the line for the Lakers, Luca Dantic, one shot. [Applause] Pacers leading by 11. Hallebertton. The pass to Dear. Back to Hallebertton. Lets the three fly. Oh wow. Drew the contact and that three almost went in. So he’ll go to the line for three free throws. Hallebertton. So versatile and skilled. This guy finds ways to keep the defense off balance. Pretty consistent. Three shots. and he hits the first of three. Well, Clark, there are very few first in the NBA, but Tyrese Hallebertton had one in 2025. That’s exactly right. And it was a historic first. I mean, he became the first player in the history of the league to have multiple 30, 15 assists, and zero goose egg bagel turnover games. I mean, he takes care of that orange and produces real orange juice because he squeezes it. Seems like Hallebertton is always looking to do a little more. Always making the extra effort. That’s fairly rare. And he makes all three. Well, you have no concerns when he’s at the free throw line. Very consistent. Lakers trail by 14. James right side. What muscle from James. You know what’s so impressive to me is the defense is trying to make adjustments, but LeBron’s making even quicker reads. That’s his IQ at work. Seakam with a screen on Donic outside. Nesmith. This is a nice passing by Indiana here. Six on the shot clock. Hallebertton. Here’s the three. The Lakers with a rebound. Payton’s got 10 rebounds here tonight. So active. [Applause] Here’s James on the wing. Knee Smith covering. And here’s Donic outside. Great D that time from Hallebert. That’s exactly how you have to defend him on the perimeter. Can’t allow any space. And so James will bring it up for Los Angeles. Pass to Aimura from downtown. Pascal Seiaka with a rebound. Indiana leading by 12. And there’s the lob and the slam dunk by Toppen. Toppen is Skywalker. Obie. Insane verticality. On the wing. Aimura lets it go from 14. The shot is good. Donic making the play. Donic has got his fifth assist in this one. The Pacers have gone five of 11 in this third quarter. Pass to here’s Seakum. It’s good. And he drew contact on the shot. So, he will go to the line. A three-point play opportunity. And a moment now to quickly take a look at the offensive approach for Indiana. Well, you know, they’ve been tremendous, I think, when it comes to sharing the basketball. you know, getting guys involved on the plays and creating offensive opportunities for everybody. Equal opportunity offense is fun to watch. One other thing they’ve done very well has been scoring inside. Just pounding and grinding down there. The free throw off for Seakum. Lakers trail by 14. On the wing, Reeves. He’s guarded by Dehart. James against Seakum. Aimura. The pass to Donic, the three. And there’s James on the assist from Donic. James has got 17. He’s become so comfortable from long range. That shot’s now a weapon for LeBron. And there’s a pick. Toppin outside. The three hits the trifecta. 11 points in the game. And that’s how you up the ante. Come right back at him. A little back and forth from long range. I love it. That’s a terrific answer there. Pass to James. James double teamed to the middle. Stolen by Seakkum. Now Nimhard Hallebertton for three. Another three for Indiana. Talk about confidence. Hallebertton oozing with it. No hesitation off the catch and shoot there. And so now a timeout called by JJ Reic. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. One thing about Andrew Nimhard, you appreciate the passion outside Vanderbilt. [Music] Pass to James. [Music] Kicks it out to Smart from outside. Off the mark. I think he’s gone completely dry. Nothing is hitting. And you know, you can sense his frustration. This is going to be a test of his resolve here. And here’s Seakum. It’s stolen by Donic. [Applause] Nice finish from Luca. And that’s the wait room strength of Donic right there. Fully displayed. And Hallebertton has got the ball here for the Indiana Pacers. Up and over Donic. Hallebertton no good. Lakers trail by 15 down low. Konic shot is good. Donic has got nine points now in the second half. That’s a gimme right there. That’s exactly what you want. Pass to nice passing by Indiana here. Oh, poked away and it’s out of bounds. They say it was last touch by Seakum. And some changes here for the Lakers. Clea, he’s checked in for DeAndre Aiden. Lorravia comes in for James. And Austin Reeves is subbed in for Luca Donuch. Then for Indiana, Bradley comes in for Pascal Seakum. And it’s Walker in for Tophen. Here’s Reeves. And the rebound goes to the Pacers. [Applause] Here’s Matherin. He’s got 16. [Applause] Arabia outside [Music] [Music] Reeves for three and the rebound goes to the Pacers. Hallebertton’s got four rebounds in the game. McConnell outside. Walker finds Hallebertton. The shot that time not on target. Oh, great D that time from Clea. Reeds the pass to Clea outside Vanderbilt. Walker with a steal. Pass to Matherin. Reeves against McConnell. Here’s Bradley over Smart. Bradley misses. And that’s a low percentage shot. And I’m sure he knows it. Well, you can’t be forcing a shot like that. You got to keep the ball moving. Get something better. Clea passes to Reed. Kicks it out to Smart. Three-pointer. No good. Pacers leading by 13. On the wing, Matherin. He’s covered by Larabia. Pass to McConnell. Outside Walker down to five on the shot clock. Here’s Bradley. And Indiana misses again. And for the Lakers, they’re shooting efficiently, 50% so far. Now Reeves, he’s marked by McConnell. Smart for three. Bradley grabs the board. Bradley’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Pass to McConnell. There’s a minute 12 left to play in the third. Walker passes to Hallebertton to win the cold spell. Bradley misses. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. Now here’s Clea. [Music] It’s Smart on the wing. He’s covered by Matherin. [Music] Reeves against McConnell. Reeves. The pass to Smart. Three-pointer. That doesn’t go either for Smart. I didn’t care for his shot selection that time. He needs to let the game come to him a little bit. Just relax. Take your time some McConnell outside. Here’s Hallebertton outside. Maverick over Reeves and Maverin gets it to go on the assist from Hallebertton. Hallebertton’s got five assists in the game. pass to Clea from 7 ft away. And so it looks like the Lakers will retain possession here. Substitution on the court. [Applause] Benson passes to Reeves. A deep three and no good. Trying to get that one to fall. Well, through three quarters of play, down double digits. It may be difficult to overcome. Indiana ahead up by 15. And time for a short break. Stay right there. The fourth quarter is coming up next. All right. And we reach the fourth quarter in a game that may already be out of hand. And Reeves has got the ball here for Los Angeles. And a look at the five for the Pacers to start the fourth quarter. At small and power forward, it’ll be Matherin and Seakum. TJ McConnell is out there with Shepard. And it’s Bradley in at the pivot spot, manning the middle. Clock at six Reeves. The pass to Labraia. Bradley grabs the board. Bradley’s got rebound number eight here already in the game. Pass to Seakkum. [Applause] to the paint and he jams it after taking the nice feed on the run. And we talk about Seiakum’s versatility. Well, there it is. Nice pass outside. Reeves shoots over Shepard. The shot by Reeves. No good. Indiana leading by 17. Seakum in the post working on Vanderbilt. Back to Seakum. Here’s Bradley. The three-pointer off the mark. Now here’s Vincent outside. Reeves inside. Here’s Vanderbilt. Oh, the lead pass was in the perfect spot to set up the layup. You know, he may have a scores mindset, but Reeves makes plays for others, too. Seakum in the post. Guarded by Vanderville. Off target at the rim. Pass to Reeves. It’s rebounded by Indiana. [Applause] And here’s Seakum. to the inside. Here’s Bradley and he dumps it down. What he lacks in height, he certainly makes up for with his bounce. We’re in the fourth quarter here. Just under 2 and 1/2 minutes gone by. [Applause] Labia right side. Benson outside to the middle. Here’s Cleba. Nice dish and the layup goes down. getting the ball into the paint for a close range look. That’s a nice pass. And it’s Rick Carile calling timeout here. Coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now. [Applause] Force. Hey guys, during that last break, I heard Rick Carile as he talked with the team. He encouraged them to keep on the pressure, saying, “You guys are forcing a lot of turnovers, and it’s because you’re communicating and working together as a unit. Keep it up. Defense is clearly a priority. All right. Appreciate it, Ally. Pass to Hallebertton. Some nice passing by Indiana here. Here’s Seakkum. Donic pulls down the board. Donic has got rebound number five here tonight. Inside, here’s Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt slams it in. Just such a terrific dunk, man. Born to fly, that’s for sure. Nothing surprising about that, guys. We’ve come to expect plays like that from him and still they never get old. Lakers trail by 13. A bit under three and 1/2 minutes have passed here in the fourth. Back to Donic. Three-pointer. It’s rebounded by Pascal Seakum. The Pacers have gotten only two of six attempts to drop in the fourth. Here’s McConnell and he got the whistle on the way up. So he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. Second person. That’s on Gabe Benson. First team at the line for the Bas. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. He misses the free throw. Good on the second one. Lakers trail by 14. Vincson outside pass to Clea. Here’s Donic. Defended by Hallebertton. Six on the shot clock. There’s the three. Donic. No good. Indiana leading by 14. Stolen by Vanderbilt. Benson outside. [Applause] See Hakam with a defensive effort. He’ll miss some of these from time to time, especially when he feels some pressure on the way out. [Applause] Hallebertton with a ball. Lets a floater go. No good that time. Good D by Donic. Now connect pass to Clea. Here’s Dantic. Here’s Venson. And again, the Lakers no good. [Applause] Left side. Mather can’t connect from short range. Got what he wanted but then blew the layin. He tricked that one on the wing. Benson pass to Donic. Clea screen on Hallebertton and once again off the mark by Los Angeles. McConnell outside back to Hallebertton now Matherin from the wing. Indiana again missing. Lakers trail by 14. Here’s Donic. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. Second person. Look, I know he runs the point, but boy can Dantic go to work inside. At the line for Los Angeles, Luke Dantic taking two shots. [Applause] Here we go. Good job. Good job. And he can’t get the first one. You know, one of the things I like about watching Donic is the pace he plays at. You’re not going to speed him up. He plays at his pace, the pace he dictates. Here’s what Los Angeles is going with right now. Aiden, he’s checked in for Cleba. Aimura comes in for Vanderbilt. James has checked in for Connect. And Austin Reeves is subbed in for Vincent. And he’s good on the second. Pacers leading by 13. Toppin outside. Back to Nimhard. Donic against Hallebertton. Donic pulls down the board. Donic has got six rebounds now in the game. Here’s Aimura. And it’s slammed in by Aimura. That is big time by Hachamura. No mercy at all. Hallebertton. The pass to Toppenhen. Now Siakum on the wing. Nimhart. Five to shoot. Seakum with a screen on Aimura. And Indiana misses again. Lakers trail by 11. Donic outside. Payeyton finds Reeves. Donic outside takes a three. Indiana with a rebound. Nmith’s got a rebound number five here tonight. Pass to Nhard. Tipped. Kicks it out to Seakum. Takes the three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Just enough of a shot contest to bother on the wing. Aimura. Now James coming. Nice work inside from James for all his strength and power. James can also be extremely graceful throwing off the defender with a really nice move there. Hallebertton. A screen on Aimura. [Applause] And here’s Topphen from the arc. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Hayden’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game. James passes to Aimura and it’s slammed in by Aimura. We are seeing some big time play from Ruie on offense. He’s really getting into taking it to the defense. Seakum outside. They get back on track. Look at Hallebertton converting through contact. And there’s really no such thing as a safe lead. I mean, this is still anyone’s game. No, it certainly isn’t. I mean, if they string together a few more baskets and get a couple of stops, I mean, this game will be tight again just like that. So, stay tuned. Nice setup. Excellent team basketball. Toppin outside. [Applause] Back to Hallebertton. Lets it go from deep. Ooh, a long range missile from Hallebertton. Woo! That man is laser focused now. That’s bad defense for a team that has a long way to go to catch up. They look pretty demoralized to me and that always shows through at the defensive end first. Now Aimura from downtown. Seakum there for the rebound. Nimhard outside now. Hallebertton a screen on Donic. Hallebertton fires. Oh, the long ball. No good. Lakers trail by 10. Aimura left side now. James. Austin Reeds. The triple drop. Zero hesitation with Reeds that time. He never lacks confidence. Indiana has gone one for five shooting from the arc here in the fourth. Hallebertton against Donic. Now Seakum Nimhard outside. Here’s Hallebertton beyond the arc. Not that time. And he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. Now Aimura with a steal. And they’re on the break. He gets it to go. His energy is unmatched. And you know, you’re going to get those buckets, guys, when you’re quick to get out on the break. Get that ball up the board as fast as you can. [Applause] And the free throw, no good. Lakers trail by nine. Reeves. Oh, what a jam. Holding nothing back. Nice effort by Reeves that time. Just wasn’t going to be denied despite getting fouled. Second personal foul. Second team foul at the line for one. Austin Reed. [Applause] And so it’s Hallebertton with it. He brings it up for Indiana. 17 points was their biggest margin. Oh, nice move. Oh, Hallebertton scoring amongst the trees. Hallebertton’s length really an asset on that play. [Applause] Now here’s Donic eight. Oh, he finished it off. A beauty of a pass. Excellent tempo on the play and he leads his teammate perfectly. [Applause] Donic against Hallebertton. Here’s Seakkum. [Applause] Seakum gets double. Tim Hart fires. The free ball is down. And guys, that’s got to be the dagger. This is how you finish a game. Yeah. What a time to put the hammer down. Any hope of a comeback diminished. Yeah. Looking at Aiden using all of his height and reach, slamming it down on a helpless defense. Hallebertton against Donic now. Toppin. Here’s Hallebertton. Block at four. Yes, sir. From 13 ft. Clearly Hallebertton is hunting his shots. He’s not picky and knows exactly how to adjust on the mid-range jump shot. 7second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. That’s in. [Applause] Hallebertton against Donic outside. Seakum. [Music] He got it inside. Seakkum gets the better of the defense using his agility clearing himself a path to a shot. [Applause]
