Robertson from Toronto, Sharangovich from Calgary seem like one-for-one swaps. Hope we don't trade for Holl or Gustafsson from Detroit.

  1. It’s a shame the Blue Jackets aren’t interested in him. Imagine playing him with someone who can set up his ridiculous shot? Crazy to think about.

    “He isn’t producing.” Yeah, KJ and Marchy wouldn’t be producing if they were stuck with ZAR and Lund either.

    For whatever reason, it seems like management has it out for him.

  5. He walked back that trade request so at this point it’s just Dean being old school and stubborn sticking him in hockey hell for a skill guy. If he was playing third line with Sillinger and Coyle they’d probably start producing. I love Olivier as much as the next guy but on a good team he’s not a top 9 forward especially when you have a guy that is a top 9 forward playing below him. I know I’m going to get hate from the fans here because people think for some reason Olly is going to put up 18 goals again this year. He’s not and if he gets 10 goals we should throw a party. He’s a great player don’t get me wrong and he’s a coach’s dreams but how the hell can we justify shoving Chinakhov on the 4th line out of pettiness when he actually played solid hockey in Dallas and could be producing if given the chance. He has more than enough speed to drive play so why is he playing with ZAR and Lundestrom who have been almost completely useless this season? Olivier is not a guy that’s going to drive play. Great forechecker and great net front presence but not a play driver. The team is winning so nothing is going to change for now from a lines standpoint but it’s just so dumb to even think this is how this is playing out. It’s just so frustrating as a fan to watch them mismanage a guy like Chinny that has the potential to be something.
