“The sports books caught the irregular betting on Terry Rozier the day it happened [during his time with the Hornets]… Rozier didn’t play the rest of the season and he had faked the injury. So, it wasn’t cause of the injury. The NBA pulled him” @WindhorstESPN

  1. If the FO knew about this and still made the trade, they should be absolutely bashed to no end

If the FO didn’t know about this and the league let it through, then they better throw an absolute fit about this. Type of shit that is voteable and wouldn’t have been allowed under other commissioners runs

Edit seems they were unaware, bring out the pitch forks

  2. It’s quite refreshing to see actual sports journalism. Almost forgot what it was like when Hack McAfee isn’t screaming on my tv

  3. if the full on ASSOCIATION ITSELF knew of it and still allowed a trade to go through then i think we should damn we’ll be compensated in someway or another

  4. Bro this hurts so dam bad. Miami could have gone in other directions instead of Rozier. It leaves us with so many what-ifs if we kept Lowry instead or dealt him to another team.

  5. Years of me stating the league has actively been trying to screw over the heat, whether it’s the dame trade or unusual officiating becomes validated and no longer conspiracy. Fuck silver that alien looking ahh mofo.

  6. What people are missing is these are extremely easy crimes to catch. The sportsbooks know what irregular betting looks like and they can turn on the game and watch the crime happen on live tv.

Also, the payoff is relatively small and the risk is your career. People keep saying this is a serious problem but it’s really just a few absolute morons who are now banned forever.

  7. MJ went to the MLB for the same thing. Granted he was probably like Charlie Hustle and bet on himself, but if you’re great then nothing happens just ask the Giant Japanese dude in L.A.

  8. The league should take 2-3 FRPs away from the Clippers for the Kawhi mess and give them to the Heat for their (the leagues) mistake. Problem solved.

  9. not even a heat fan, but i’ve been in here ever since this bs started lol. i can’t imagine how you guys feel about this rn. beyond pissed

  10. The league and definitely the players union must have known. The union likely negotiated for that punishment term. Both sides likely agreed on the injury story so the league wouldn’t look bad
