VJ Edgecombe & Iverson’s Historic Sixers Debuts

From Allen Iverson’s 30-point debut in 1996 to VJ’s explosive 34-point performance this season, both players wasted no time making their mark in Philly. Two record-breaking debuts – one historic standard for Sixers greatness.

Edgecombe scored 34 points in 42 minutes – the most ever by a 76ers rookie in his debut.

The 2024 Allen Iverson National High School Player of the Year outscored Iverson, who put up 30 against Milwaukee in the 1996 opener.

  8. SPORTS BETTING! it is here but the NBA is NOT doing enough! the excuse you are NOT the USA Government is 100% BS!! WHY?! BECAUSE you can welcome IN the USA government to constantly watch for anyone cheating the system and RUINING the game!

    I don't GAMBLE – i suck at it! BUT SO DOES EVERYONE! it's why casinos are always wealthy – you are NEVER going to win!

    JUST the thought of FBI watching all players is MORE than enough to keep everyone INSIDE the NBA in check! YOU KNEW YOU HAD A PROBLEM – TALKING TO YOU NBA Commish!! ADAM SILVER! you could have reached out to the FBI back then and moving forward! BUT YOU DID NOT! you chose to put your HEAD IN THE SAND like that flightless bird! STOP putting your head in the sand and DO YOUR JOB!!

    To fans of the NBA – if you cannot trust the games and the commish uses excuses they are not the feds (100% BS because, as i have said, they could have had them investigate!) to avoid doing anything (when clearly they could have) – you can boycott the rest of the season. You can say – do not buy merch! don't go to games! STAND UP! When your team loses because some player takes time off by faking an injury – it's UNACCEPTABLE!! Some gamber gives a player in the finals 100 million to throw the game – it's over! it cannot get there!

    LIFE TIME SUSPENSION of these two people – and removal from HOF has to be the lesson and example set!!

    Those two people are going to jail. ANY REWARDS they got for having the privilege of playing in the NBA must be removed! NEITHER should be allowed ANYWHERE NEAR the NBA – banned from every going to any of the games even as fans, banned from HOF, BANNED from doing any ads or anything else that can be used to punish them and let all other players know – that's what is happening to them!

    IF there is blackmail – you must set up a hotline! You must always have an out for players who ARE getting blackmailed!

    FIX IT!!
