Washington Commanders Made A GREAT Change On Defense! Jordan Magee Playing More

Yo, what is up guys? It’s Pedro here. So, the Washington Commanders got some good news. They will be playing their young linebackers. Jordan McGee, who bowled out last week against the Cowboys, and then Kay Madrono, their fifth round rookie from this year out of UCLA, who showed a little bit of promise in the off seasonason. They also will likely be getting back Terry McLaren and Debo Samuel. If you guys are new, make sure to subscribe, hit that like button, and that notification bell as well so you never miss a video. And yeah, let’s get right into uh the video. So, really good news here. Jordan McGee will be getting more snaps. That’s what Joe Wit said. He also said to, you know, you can probably expect to see some other personnel changes. Maybe it’s these, but uh you know, I think there’ll be, you know, some other ones as well. So, uh Jordan McGee actually had a decent game last week against the Dallas Cowboys. You know, maybe balled out was a little bit of a overstatement, but he played really well. He may maybe he didn’t make any game-changing like interceptions or you know forced fumbles, but he did have, you know, a good game for the Commanders. He really did. And um yeah, let’s go over some of his stats uh last week, you know, against the Dallas Cowboys. So, most snaps in his career, 21, which I believe is more than any, you know, more than all of his games last year combined. Most tackles in his career, four. uh most uh line of scrimmage stops in career and then um allowed two catches for four yards, six coverage snaps, 87.7 uh defensive grade. This is from PFF. You got to take with a grain of salt. I’m not a huge PFF guy. I usually like to match it with kind of the eye test, but then again, you’re kind of with that, you’re picking and choosing what you’re picking and choosing what you want to, you know, say is a good grade by PF and what you’re going to say is a bad grade. So, uh, but I think Jordan McGee did have a good game. You know, if you want to see the, you know, his full game, shout out to Red Zone in the lab here. Do 6 minutes and 20 seconds of Jordan McGee tape. But he had a good game for the Commanders. And we’ve been seeing this from him. He has the athleticism. He has, you know, the speed, the change of direction, and he’s just obviously a lot younger than someone like Bobby Wagner. And, you know, it’s his second year. Last year was injured. this year dealt with some injuries in the offseason, but you know, started the season pretty healthy and just wasn’t getting a lot of snaps. They play, in my opinion, they play Wagner too much. And I think, you know, they played him less last week, but I I think I’m not completely sure, but I believe he at the end of the game, he wasn’t really playing, but that’s because they were losing, not because, you know, it was better for the team. That’s, you know, in terms of Yeah, it was better for the team in my opinion for Jordan McGee to be out there, but that’s not what their decision-m kind of process was. They just were like, “All right, we’re getting beat by a lot. Let’s take out our old guys and put in the young guys.” And I think they really do need to consider taking out Bobby Wagner on third and 10, third and 11. What is Bobby Wagner going to do for you on that play? And I know, I know sometimes you can’t if the, you know, if the offense doesn’t sub, you can’t necessarily sub. But if you can sub, why not? On obvious passing situations, on second and 10, second and 12, third and 10, take out Bobby Wagner. Bobby Wagner’s great on obvious running situations. And you know, he can rush the quarterback too a little bit. But besides that, at this point in his career, he’s not the best. I’m not saying he’s awful, awful, awful, uh, you know, in coverage, but it’s it’s bad. It’s bad. And, uh, you know, run stopping, he’s pretty good, though. And getting to the quarterback, he’s pretty good. So he still is, you know, useful in some areas and some facets of the game, just not as a, you know, coverage guy. So if you can take him out on obvious cover, you know, passing situations, that’s good. That doesn’t mean you’re going to be able to first off take him out on all the obvious passing situations, but also, you know, you’re not going to be able to take him out on all the passing plays because, hey, sometimes it might be uh it looks like it’s an obvious run situation like a second and one or a third and one, but they end up playing, you know, they end up doing a little play action. Bobby Wagner’s out there. That’s fine. You can live with that. But the the obvious ones, I think you need to take him out and put Jordan McGee in and K Madron, I’m fine with it. I don’t think you need to rush him in yet. You know, he he’s still young and the tackling is an issue with him, but coverage-wise, he’s very good. So, obvious passing situations, maybe you can put him in the in there as well. And now with Dorance out for the year, you have uh Gavante uh Jean Baptiste who’s out for the year as well likely. And then uh Dietri Weise, you can probably rush Luv or Wagner. Like you can have some situations where especially Luvu, he’s just lining up as an edge rusher. So you can have him as an edge guy and then you can just add another linebacker on the field. So that’s a way to get more of these young guys out there, especially Jordan McGee, get him in there. Same thing with Kadano. But I would really, you know, these next I mean obviously the commanders, you know, you want them to win. You know, they’re technically still in it. Even though I think the season’s over, but it’s never over until it really is over or until it’s really ugly. And we’re we kind of there, but not all the way there. But really this week, you know, again, would love to win, but it’s about, in my opinion, the younger guys and some of these other guys that we’ve invested in. Let’s see how they do. So like guys like Jordan McGee, let’s see what he can do. Can he be a part of this linebacking core in the future? If he can, that’s great. You got a linebacker and you got a young one. You got a guy that you have under contract for two more years. Let’s see what Jaylen Lane can do. Let’s see what Luke McCaffrey can do. Uh let’s see what Mike Sanders still can do. Let’s see what Johnny Newton, some of these guys. Ben Sin, I need to see more from him. And then some of the guys they’ve invested, you know, a lot of assets in, you know, Larry Tonsel. Hopefully he continues to ball out. You know, Marshon Latimore. I mean, at this point, I think we know the book is, you know, written on him in terms of his career here in Washington, but still would like to see him ball out. Maybe if he has in two insane games, you can get something for him in terms of, you know, trade capital, but um I I just want to see these young guys play well because that’s what it is. you know, next year you want to see which guys you can really build around and which guys are a part of the future versus, you know, which positions you need to, you know, potentially upgrade. Offensively, I think overall they’re okay. You know, they have the right quarterback. Offensive line, I don’t think they really need to touch that too much. You know, you can maybe make a couple changes, but the offensive line is in a good spot. And then receiver-wise, you probably need to add a guy on tight end. you know, see what we have in Benson Benson and you have John Bates who’s a good blocking tight end, but you’re probably going to need to add a younger tight end. But like the offensive line and quarterback, which I believe are two most important positions, position groups, you have those set. So, you’re in a good spot in my opinion offensively. But let’s see which of these other guys on offense and defense will step up and really, you know, ball out for the Commander. So, you know, this video is about McGee and Madonna, but, you know, this week’s about a lot of other guys. We need to see which guys really step up for the rest of the year. But real quick before we get into the really good news on Terry McLaren and Debo Samuel, a word from today’s sponsor. And a huge shout out to Sleeper for sponsoring today’s video. Make sure you guys go ahead and check them out. There’s a Thursday night game this week. Obviously, there’s college football on Saturday, even Friday, too. Virginia Tech’s playing Cal. And then you also have Sunday and Monday football. So, that should be really fun. And you guys can get a free $20 entry on Sleeper. also can use my code PJO for 100% match up to a $100. This will be quick, but Debo Samuel back on the field together and they’re practicing. So, overall good news there on that front. So, yeah, super happy about that. give Marcus Marott a little bit more, you know, life and just more security blankets and more everything. You know, security blankets, down the field targets, especially with Terry and, you know, this offense is going to get a huge boost. I honestly do like what they’re doing on offense, it’s just hard, you know, the the first off the offense has been awful, right? But when you have, you know, your franchise quarterback out for what, this is going to be his third game. You also have and also he was out or he was hurt like almost you know midway through the second half of the Packers game was hurt basically second half of the Cowboys game. So when you have that and then you also have you know you know different quarterbacks in and out of the lineup that makes a difference and then you know all your receivers are in and out of the lineup. You really didn’t get an off seasonason to really you know gel. It makes a difference. And that’s what I was saying early on in the off season. Like I don’t think it’s a non-factor that uh Terry McLaren was missing practice. Like I I thought it was an issue and um because of getting you know working with the offense and you know Debo is a new receiver so he needs to get his chemistry with his other receivers and that includes Terry and obviously you know Jaden and Terry have chemistry but you still wanted to see that continue. So, I did think it was an issue and I think it turned out to be one. And also Noah Brown in and out. So, he’s going to be out for another few weeks, maybe the season. I don’t know. I don’t care at this point. I mean, obviously care about his recovery and hope he’s good. But in terms of, you know, him playing this year, I’m not count on it. But, uh, Terry, you know, expecting a big game, big rest of the season for him. He needs to ball out. If he wants to get 1,000 yards, I think I saw his stat. He needs to average 85 yards a game. It’s possible, but he’s never done in his career. Yeah, I don’t I don’t think he’s Yeah, he’s definitely not average 85, but uh I’m excited to see what he can do. Same thing with Debo. And you know, I don’t think we’re going to win this game. My early score prediction is 34 to 24 Kansas City Chiefs. I think they’ll get the win, but uh let’s see what we can do. Let’s see what the young guys can do. And that that’s really what matters. That’s what really matters going into next year. I’m not saying it’s a lost year, of course, because at the end of the day, you still have Jaden Daniels who, you know, can ball out for you when he comes back. But, you know, it is going to be a tough road for them. But, that’s it for today’s video. Hope you guys did enjoy. If you did, hit that like button, subscribe if you guys new, and peace.

  1. They don't even know Ale Kaho is their best LB….smh…they would be so much better in that 3-4 defense with those 2 LBs inside and have Screw Loose Uce outside…and mix Martin and the old man Miller…mostly Martin tho…Im sorry Booby is a HOFer but its a wrap….it's over….play the young guys to know what you got.
