Calvin Ridley (hamstring) ruled out for Week 8. “The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market for another wide receiver and have been inquiring about players available at the position,” “Two names I am hearing as trade targets are Jaylen Waddle of the Miami Dolphins and Calvin Ridley of the Titans.”

  1. Getting something for Ridley would be amazing before he’s let go for nothing. But I’m not holding my breath.

  2. I would love to get Ridley off the team as long as the salary cap hit goes with him. He’s very good at specific things but not versatile enough to be a true WR1. Jags fans cheered when we signed him for all that money, that’s pretty telling.

  3. At least nowadays when we get dying vet WRs, we get one more good 1000 yard season out of em before they get out of here.

  4. Personally I’d like to hold on to Ridley. I think we’re completely misusing him as a WR1 X receiver. If we could draft a legit X and move him to the slot in a WR2 role, I think he could thrive. He’s just not the top dog outside guy we’re asking him to be.

Plus I doubt we’re replacing his production with a 3rd or lower, and the cap isn’t an issue for us in the short to medium term.

Drop issues aside, he’s the most talented WR we have, and I don’t want to be dumping talent at our weakest position group. He can play a role, just not the one we need him to this year.

  5. Ridley would probably be a good fit in Pittsburgh right now. Waddle too but Ridley could probably be a cheaper acquisition and might be just as good as the #2 option there

  6. I’d trade Ridley in an instant. Hes gone after this year anyway and hasn’t produced enough with cam to warrant being untradeable.

  7. Never seen fans so happy losing talent when we have so many holes at playmaker positions and they think we’re going to fill the void with 5th rounders or overpay an average #3 Receiver that’s not even close to the talent of Ridley this offseason because of how awful this team is. Remedial fan base.
