Woo! I’m food creator Lisa Win. I’m going undercover at the Chief’s tailgate to find the best bite in the kingdom. I feel like this is a paint crew. I love it. Savory. All right. Sweet, flavorful, and filling. That was good steak. How about all the above? What’s up, Mahomes? Only one bite wins. But will the fans figure out who I am before I reveal my identity? This is my episode of Secret Chiefs. Kansas City, home of the Chiefs. Great food in town, great party, food in the parking lot. The party starts at 4:00, 3:00. We have great food and foodies here. What is going on here? What we do here at this tailgate contributes to the winning atmosphere in there. Do you mind if I chuck some oysters with you? That is looking good. Get it while it’s hot. It doesn’t disappoint, does it? Come to Kansas City. We rock. Um, it’s really early. I am trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes, but I’m so excited. We pulled up and there’s already a line out the door. I don’t know how these fans do it, but they’re here. They’re ready to party, ready to eat, and have a good time. We got here at 4:00 last night. Uh, we got here about 1:00 a.m. 6:00 last night. been out here for 12 hours waiting for the game. I’m Lisa Win. I’m a food content creator. I make videos to share across all my social media platforms. I’ve got over 5 billion views on YouTube. I’m known for my 30-day ramen challenge. I’m known for building my spice tolerance. I’m known for failing spectacularly in the kitchen, but also succeeding by recreating the dishes. I’ve got a deep, strong connection to Kansas City. Personally, the Chiefs mean a lot to me. I’ve been a fan mostly my entire life. It’s also a great experience that has brought my family and friends together. About 5 years ago, my brother started this tradition. We rent this party bus. We cook amazing food. We have amazing drinks and it’s just a great time. The Chief’s Tailgate community is special because it’s a chance for them to cook food to represent their city. We’re very welcoming, open, and that’s a little bit of what I want to see today. As far as tailgate food, simple is fine, but I do like something a bit more unique, a little bit more leveled up, something that you wouldn’t find at a typical tailgate. Go Chiefs. Here’s my mission today. Find the best bite in the tailgate. I’m going undercover because I want to try the real food and meet the real fans. I’ve got a red jersey. I’ve got a big helmet. I’ve got some face paint all over my face. You know what? I think I might throw on a white feather boa on my neck just to jazz things up a bit. Wow, we’ve got a lot of canopies up here. Lots of people out. I can smell things. Let’s let the smells lead the way. This is how it’s going to work. Eat as much tailgate food as possible. I might be bloated. They might have to carry me out of the stadium. This is a really good bite. I’m going to find and choose the three best bites, then bring those three tailgators into the stadium. Cheers. Let’s go. Go, Chiefs. And then announce the winning dish. What are you guys cooking? Then I will reveal my identity. There’s just so much food. We are having pork steaks, beef hot dogs, and pineapple broths. This is the grill master. So, he takes care of all of the grilling and then I take care of the desserts. Desserts. Desserts. My name is Gia and this is a KC punt cake. Flavor is strawberry crunch. So, nice to meet Nice to meet you. Awesome. Tell me about this dessert that caught my eye. There’s so many colors, so many different flavors. What’s going on? So, these are Casey punt cakes. Oh my gosh. Yes, they look so moist. Why when did you decide to call them punt cakes? So, football. I’ve been watching football since I was about 4 years old with my dad who used to be a season ticket member and take me when I was a little kid. Okay. And so, I actually got my own season tickets back in 2013. You’re carrying on the tradition? Yes. Got to carry on the tradition. Yes. What do you have here? So, this is a strawberry crunch. It is a strawberry poundake and it has crunch around it and then it has a cream cheese glaze. It’s just like the ice cream bar we used to get off of the ice cream truck when we were kids. Can I have a bite? Yes, most definitely. This right here, this is the crunch. What’s in the crunch? So, the crunch is really Jell-O and butter and flour. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. The fork just went straight through that. Yes. Oh, look at that. My first bite. It’s indescribable. Honestly, I love it. This is amazing. Thank you so much. I knew that she put a lot of love into it. I knew that she put a lot of time into it. She’s just a comfortable lady making comfort food. So, this here is one of the best bites I’ve had today. And I’ve tried a lot of foods. Oh my goodness. What are you guys cooking up today? Breakfast burritos. Breakfast burritos. Nice. Do you want sausage or bacon? If you had to pick your best one, which one would you say? I would say sausage. Sausage. Okay. So, sausage. What are you guys making? Breakfast burritos. Breakfast burritos. I haven’t heard of that before. You know, everyone loves a breakfast burrito. I can see why the majority of people here are making breakfast burritos. Um, but I am on the hunt for something a little bit more leveled up. Hey, what is that? Hi. What is going on here? We got oyster a seafood tower. My name is John and this is my no coast kingdom crab cake. Who are all these people? I’ve got mostly first cousins and spouses all here. We got Timmy, Maggie, Terry, Jack, Charlie. Fourth gen season ticket guy here. Here’s the deal. We pick a different dish every week. A dish that the opposing team city says they do better than anybody else. I love that. And then we cook it better than they do. I love that. Before we beat him on the field. So this is your Vegas style all you can eat buffet with it kicked up a notch on our crab cakes. So Kingdom crab cakes start with some amazing crab meat. We mix it up with some mayonnaise, some parsley, some lemon zest, some garlic, Old Bay seasoning, spicy brown mustard, and you got to use panko breadrumbs. You want to try one? Let’s do it. We got this team from Vegas. They’re pretty confused. Their food’s confusing. Might sound like a stretch, but it fits the theme pretty well for a team that doesn’t even know where they’re from. Let’s go. Absolutely. Crab cakes from Kansas City. No coast. M doesn’t It doesn’t It doesn’t disappoint, does it? They were unbelievable. It was crunchy. It was moist. So, he kept it somewhat simple. He just added arugula and toasted brios bun. But that’s all you really need for a good crab cake. The first thing is the crispiness on this. Bringing this out was that’s a pro move. Okay, so this is one of the best bites I’ve had. I would love to invite you up to a drum deck so that you can potentially be the best bite of the tailgate today. That’s awesome. Drum deck. Yes, please. That’s great. I’m just thinking about my Chiefs fan resume. Trying to build that baby up. We’re pretty certain that what we do here at this tailgate contributes to the winning atmosphere in there. Uh do you mind if I chuck the oysters with you? Yeah, Jackie. Really great to see the secret chief come by. And I’m not sure who that was that came up to taste our food earlier. I tried really hard. Do you have Wagyu steak? Yeah. Can I try it? Absolutely. I feel like this is a pit crew. That was good steak. Honestly, I love that we’ve been walking around for quite a while now and no one has recognized who I am. The disguise is working, but no rest for the tailgate weary. I need more best bikes. So, feed me. Let’s do it. Let’s go. Whoa, look at this bus. This van. What’s going on? Hey, what’s your name? My name is Barrett and this is my game day griddle sandwich. What are you cooking? I’m doing a uh pancake sandwich with candied maple syrup with an over easy egg and a grilled sausage patty with a roasted jalapeno goat cheese. Hopefully you enjoy like a little hot food. I do. I love spicy food. This is actually Then I’ll put a little extra on there for you. I’ve got a high spice tolerance. How long have you been cooking for? Uh my entire life actually. I went to culinary school. I graduated in 1995. What are some crazy creations that you’ve made? Like my favorite thing to make is like I do a smoked pork belly and shrimp fried rice. But it was breakfast today. So it’s like this is perfect. I’m so excited to try this. It’s a big mouth bite, but I got it. I mean looking good. Get it while it’s hot. Okay. Okay. Here we go. The sandwich was amazing. It really was breakfast in one bite. It’s so warm and comforting. Oh yeah, look at that yolk. Game day griddle sandwich. He starts off the pancake with maple syrup. He’s got sausage. He’s got a perfectly fried egg. For me, perfect is a runny egg. And then he tops off with this like jalapeno goat cheese situation. I’m mind blown with all the flavors he’s able to fit into this. Well, it’s amazing. I love everything together. Winner winner chicken dinner. Actually, yeah. This is one of the best fights I’ve had today. I’d love to invite you up to the drum deck to be a potential best fight. Would you love to do that? 100%. The Chiefs mean everything to me.
