  1. Great defense. I’d like to see more playmaking and scoring in the minutes he will probably be getting added on to the rotations, but rn Im super high on him.

  2. I love him. Long way to go to be a meaningful nba player, but the talent and DAWG are there

  3. My conservative projections for this year for Hugo: ROTY, All Star first team, Defensive POTY.

  4. Didn’t catch the whole game but what I saw he looked promising. I know there was tall of him going down to the G league but if he can keep playing like tonight you gotta keep him up and give him minutes. He’s very young but looked like an NBA caliber tonight, and should have a fairly strong upside imo.

  5. Solid, and probably would’ve looked better if he didn’t get a rookie whistle. He was doing well (at least as well as can be expected) against Brunson too so that’s a plus. Just need to try to get him more involved in the offense but that’ll be difficult w/o Tatum.

  6. He’s the only prospect on the team with any semblance of potential but probably will peak out as a rotation player.  Pretty depressing season given we have no chance and this is the only guy worth developing.

  7. I think he’s a great example of why we should not aim necessarily to compete for playoff spots this year, it play competitively while giving our young guys a chance to play. It will pay massive dividends next year – and if we happen to lose a few more games while giving the young guys a chance to develop and we get a good draft pick next year – win win.

I feel like we need to try trade for someone like Walker Kessler though. I have a feeling he’ll be available since he didn’t sign an extension . We need another big.

I didn’t watch preseason but I really saw how much the team changed this year.

  8. He had the highest box score +/- on the team at +7 in a 10 point loss. I know it’s not the be all end all stat but it tells me he should have more minutes. He has great energy and impressive size. He’s scrappy and seems to find the basketball. I like him.

  9. I mean, he’s a guy, and it was a first game.

I don’t expect him to be on our next title-winning team, if that’s what you’re asking.
