Hebert: Saints got bullied by Bears. Does it start the clock on Tyler Shough?
I mean, I I I don’t know. It’s No, it’s so frustrating. You know, a perfect example, uh, the Saints teases the Hudat Nation cuz I told you this at halftime. I said, man, we’re going to get the ball to start the second half. You were definitely Johnny Positive. If we drive and go scores 20 to 14, but we get so close. But so far, how many times we’ve said this year in the second half and then even in the fourth quarter in games that we have lost, they looked like their defense came to play. Man, we were getting gash. I’m looking at some runs. Uh it was almost embarrassing. It’s 20 to 14. Did they go eight plays, 66 yards? Now Moody kicks a 24 yd field goal to make it 23-13. But but look at the plays on on this series. Plus 11 plus 22 + 17 + 15. So I mean it was like I don’t know we supposed to have the momentum. Our defense should be fired up but obviously that was not the case. And then I was really optimistic because we have not done this four games in a row. We forced a three and out. We forced a three and out. They didn’t on the first two possessions get two touchdowns. So as like you know getting 14 points in the first quarter. No. Uh we forced a three and out. Boy, a great start on the road. I don’t care if you had home on the road. You forced a three and out. Forced a three and out and then you got to take away and then and then wait then wait the first time we got the ball though. Uh Rattler sacks fumble. Boo. So now we start off minus turnover margin. But bend but don’t break. right? You know, uh they didn’t punch it in. Mooney Moody 27 yd field goal. We’re down three to zero. Then the next time, uh we do go three and out, you know. So, this how we started offensively. Sack, fumble, then we go three and out. And there was a play, Coach Kellmore. I don’t know if we’re trying to trick the Bears considering their run defense sucked coming into the game. Yeah, I know where you’re going. Uh, but they didn’t suck against us. I I mean, why we couldn’t run the ball against you say not running the ball? Did that Alvin Chimera, did he lose a step or something, Steve? Or what’s third and eight and we’re taking off? No. Yeah. So, I’m saying the play was third and eight and the play call was given to Chimera uh plus two yards. So, that was definitely uh no imagination, you know, there when that came about. You look at the first half, I thought it got to the point where the the Bears are just bullying us, you know, it like, okay, the B team, the JV is going to scrimmage the varsity and it’s supposed to be NFL verse NFL. No, they were bull, they were punking us. I mean, we got to the point the Saints offense had 19 plays and four yards and it was almost halftime. Now when I two minutes and 45 seconds, we had 19 plays we ran and four yards, 14 yards rushing. I mean that you can run the ball when when you going against the Bears. Well, you should be able to. The Bears were one before last giving up 156 yards uh a game. Well, we end up having 44 uh uh 44 uh what did we average? Uh 2.6. This is this is bully ball. We had 44 yards, average 2.6. They had 222 yards, 5.5 average. Look at Swift. Swift and Monal. I didn’t know how to even pronounce that dude’s name from Rutgers. Monal. Man, I don’t know. Steve, that that’s a man. That that’s one of your boys from Ruggers. That’s a Jersey guy. I mean, look, he averaged 6.2 yards a carry. Swift averaged 6.5. co-curs had a touchdown. So, no, it was just it was embarrassing uh to state the least. And then you look starting few position, the Bears were starting few position was basically at the 50 yard line. Well, it was at their own 49 yard line and we were starting at our own 29 yardd line. So, right then couple of first downs. It got so bad at one time. I don’t know if you remember this play. I think maybe Alante Taylor, he might have given himself a concussion off of Quincy Rodley, but we hit each other. Like we hit each other and we’re hurting each other. We’re not hurting the Bears. We’re hurting ourselves. And I don’t know, the Bears just had a swagger. They’ll take a a rough penalty now and then, whatever. But Alante Taylor, Quincy Raleigh running into each other, and before you know it, it’s embarrassing. Um, listen. The Bears. Do you think the Bears are like a Super Bowl team? No. No, they’re not. Exactly. But we losing 20 to nothing to the the Bears. They’re not the monsters of the Midway. I’m not saying they’re the bad news Bears, but they’re not championship Bears. And we’re losing 20 to nothing. And it was just a situation where you you go down and you look um you know we losing 20 to nothing but the final score is 26 to 14. Well Bobby like coach Kelly I mean coach Kell Moore says I say coach Kelly LSU he needs to say something too about that game they had another Yeah. But but looking at um Kellen oh well the guys didn’t give up. They played hard. Well they should. They pros. They’re getting paid to do that. Oh, but Bobby, look, we were down 20 to zero and after that we scored 14 points and they only scored six. No, it’s the final score. Again, it’s not like we playing hard or, you know, we competing. You know, we competing that only goes so far. And you might say, well, when are they going to change the quarterback? Because I thought Spencer R’s fighting, but only a quarterback. you know, he had a higher quarterback rating than Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams had a quarterback rating basically of 62. Spencer Rattler 66, but um Caleb had one interception, no uh touchdowns. He only sacked one time. Rattler got sacked four times. Had two touchdowns with three picks. And how many texts have I gotten on my phone? I can’t even look at it no more. Oh no. Bobby, when are we putting in Shuck? When is Shuck going to get opportunity? I think the Saints organization, they’ll put Shuck in when they think Shuck has a great chance to have immediate success. And that would be the Panthers. Not next week, not the week after. Cuz who are we playing? The hottest team in the NFC, the Bucks, right? Division opponent. They’re coming to the dome. Then you got to go uh and play the Rams in LA. You remember last time we played the Rams? Boy. Oh yeah. Thursday Night Football. Then we look like the JV. You remember that name? Puka Nua. He looked like Well, we can’t stop him. He’ll have 150 60 yards receiving. But Devonte Adams they got now too. Yeah. De and then But anyway, we play Carolina after that and then you can take a deep breath. You okay, let’s say Shucker going take a deep breath and then you have a by-week, right? And then you kind of regroup for the back end the season. Very winnable games. It should be, but they might be saying that about us, too. The Jets might say this might be our first win when we play the Saints, but you got the Jets, you have the Dolphins, you have the Titans. So, I don’t know. Three very winnable games, but they probably saying uh the same thing also. So, that’s my thing about, you know, the Rattler thing and where he’s at. Um, you know, he’s making plays. Look with Chris Olive. Holly was hooking up with Chris Olavi. Uh but it’s nice to see that connection get going at least. Well, they should I know they’re our playmakers, so they paid to make plays and they get paid millions of dollars, big bucks. You can’t Well, they’re trying hard or or uh Oh, Chris, look at the game he had. He had five catches, 98 yards. Bobby, look at that average almost 20 yards, 19.6, a couple of touchdowns. Well, that’s what he’s supposed to do every game or or close to near every game. Look at Jawan Johnson. He had to drop it. They both had seven targets, five catches. Jawan Johnson uh right at 16 yard average, 79 yards, five catches. He he came up big. So, you could see that. But it’s like, well, we supposed to um uh uh all of a sudden glorify him now. And this is their job. That’s what they supposed to do. And so good for Chris Ave Dwan Johnson not staying down and out. You got to bounce back. Now, can you see these perform this performance right here as far as productivity? Well, uh, how about you do that against the Bucks in the dome division opponent. So, so we’ll see if that happens. I don’t know. Did it seem like to y’all know offensive line, they’re so inconsistent blocking. It seemed like Chimera’s gotten old overnight. Bobby, what do you mean by that? Well, he came into the game uh he don’t even average four yards a carry anymore. He’s at 3.8. Well, today he uh had averaged 2.5 yards a carry. Now, how about this cat? Well, I thought, man, he’s he’s going to he’s going to show Dennis Allen he’s the man. Kandre Miller. Okay, I I’m going to show you he was down and out on me cuz I’m never available. Guess what h happened? Started good with one carry, seven yards. one one carry, seven yards. What happened? Then he he just went in the locker room. I don’t know. Just some bad luck then. But all of a sudden, 17 carries, which is never enough. I thought the Bears would have won before last team and NFL get 156 yards a game. Well, you had to have 30 to uh 30 plus rushing attempts. We had 17. Were we losing 20 to nothing? So, uh and then when you think about it, no, we didn’t have that many plays. Okay. So, we threw the ball 32 times and we ran 17. Is that any clo where close to 65? No. No. Uh, so when you look at that, you can like break everything down and it just that hey, not only are we rebuilding right now, how far away are we? Do you think, oh, we going to turn around next year like the Patriots? Look at the Patriots, what they’ve done, how relevant they are. They might overtake uh the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. They beat him in Buffalo. I don’t know. Do you get these vibes now considering how strong the Patriots uh uh finished with Drake May and then what he’s done this year? We saw Drake May play. Well, you could see, but I think the Patriots are a playoff team. Hopefully, this is not the case. You know, you could be patient, but patient only so long. I mean who that nation y’all willing to wait maybe two or three years to say like boy uh like in other words um boy uh 2027 28 watch out for us he would be like what that’s like an eternity from now so I’m just telling you the way it looks right now and um and Kell Moore uh you know coaches do get fired after one year that will not happen with Kell Moore not the way uh the Saints are And but it can’t be happening the the same the same thing the same song and dance sometime you have to turn around like for instance on third down why we keep being uh conversion 30%. No no uh that you’re not sustaining the drive therefore u time of possession they had the ball 13 minutes more than we did and and and they were getting chunk please. Uh now this is deceptive you know because the numbers uh red zone defense was actually pretty good but they scored outside the red zone uh because they were only two of six 33% and they were only 3 and 12 25% on third down but they were making putting hay in the born on those first and uh second downs. Now, I said this before the game and the Saints are plus one have a chance plus two. The Saints could beat the Bears in Chicago. Well, well, we were minus three in the turnover margin. So, now after that big where we amongst the leaders in the NFL with plus five in the turnover margin after that Giants game. Well, we laid an egg against the Patriots and now we laid egg against the Bears and we minus. But we still plus one for the season because we were so far ahead in the turnover margin. Now I looked at penalties. You know, we were penalized more than 2 to one coming into the game compared to the Bears. Like we were at 20 they had 25 penalties. We had like 52. Well, the the Bears were terrible. Uh that that’s something Ben Johnson say this is unacceptable. That’s like giving the Saints a touchdown. 10 penalties, 92 yards, but then, okay, give us a touchdown, then we would have lost 26-21. We’re still that far away when you look at penalties uh in influencing the game. And then you look at um I mean, again, does Caleb Williams that much faster than it seemed like we never could corral him. Then we look kind of slow trying to corral. I check his uniform. It seems like we’re slipping off of him too much. Yeah. Now we end up Rattler got sacked four times, but uh Caleb got sacked only one time. They finally hit him good. Uh uh Chase Young and Brian Brazil. Now, now that was a nice hit, Caleb Sandwich, right? But we needed to do that to him about four or five times instead of just uh one. Now, um Demario Davis, I saw this one tackle where he looked kind of old when he missed it. Uh, I think that might have been on Swift one time when he kind of gave a little hip mo movement and then he just like ran through his arms like whoa. Uh, Swift is shifty. Yeah, Demaro Davis, younger Demar Davis probably made that tackle. But again, that didn’t surprise me. He had 10 total tackles, led the team uh with six unassisted. Chase Young, compared to what he did last week, he only had one tackle. Well, today definitely on the stat sheet, he had three total tackles, two unassisted, that half a sack. Like I said with Brazie, three quarterback hurries, which he was um I think he was either fifth or six in the NFL last year in quarterback hurries or quarterback hits. Uh at the beginning of the game, boy, if he could have lucked out and maybe got one of those interceptions, those two passes defended, kind of read the play. Yeah. And was able to bat it down, almost came up uh with big time interceptions on that. But uh I I don’t know. Are you optimistic right now? Because I’m telling you what I mean by optimistic, you know. Oh, Bobby, we was getting ready to I think we the last NFL team to start like division play. We’re finally going to get a division game. We know our division opponents. I’m telling you right now, you might think I’m crazy. We’re going to beat Tampa Bay one time. Right now, I think you are crazy. No, I I don’t know if it’ll be in New Orleans, but how we always play well in Tampa, but somehow cuz division opponent, it’s like uh uh remember division opponent. Now, who would have thought this? Atlanta just had a big win, but they whooped the Vikings in Minnesota and Carolina beat them 30 to nothing. Now, I’m a worried about Carolina, you know. I said, “Oh, we we have a we can sweep Carolina.” What? Look at Carolina. They got a winning record right now. Carolina’s thinking, “Oh, we can sweep the Saints, you know, and so you look at Tampa Bay, you look at Atlanta.” That’ll be interesting to see because who’s relevant right now in the NFC South, not the Saints. So, look who’s playing in prime time. Steve, tell the tell the folks, tell the Hun Nation who’s playing on Sunday Night Football tonight. Well, on Sunday night, we have the Tampa. No, no, that’s Monday night. Sorry. Sunday night is the Falcons. Falcons and 49ers. Correct. Falcons and 49ers. Oh, why are they on prime time? cuz the N they don’t care who they who’s relevant. Bejian Robinson, you heard of him? I think he can hit it and get it. Uh you know, he’s the new Saquon Barkley of this season. You talk about like, whoa, watch out for that cat. And then on Monday night, who’s playing in Detroit? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting the Lions. Who doesn’t want to watch that? Tampa Bay and the Lions. No, Baker’s lighting things up right now. Yeah. Uh early MVP. You’d have him. But uh but but so Tampa Bay is going to come to town and I’m telling you um we practice against the Rams. We kind of know the Rams. We practiced a few days against them. And um you know Bobby has practice. Yeah. But you kind of know personnel and uh Matthew Stafford what what he set a world record a European record on on on uh on on foreign foreign territory. I mean how many touchdowns he threw? Five today. Five touchdowns. Matthew Stafford. And then didn’t one of the top receivers play. What was that guy that was out? Yeah. Yeah, he’s out. So he goes about to have him. So no excuses as far as the injuries. I’m just saying that’s why I don’t think they would throw Tyler Shug to the Wolves right now. Yeah. That Okay, come on Spencer. Go hang in there. Keep fighting like you’re fighting. Uh play against Tampa and go against the Rams on the road. And then if it’s still not working out kind of how the season’s uh been flowing and uh you know cuz people say oh well Rattler finally made a few mistakes so let’s change quarterbacks but I I think they they would rather Tyler Chuck help them to have immediate success and that would be to me well where do we play Charlie where do we play Carolina Steve uh before the by-week is that at home or in that Carolina okay we’ve always played good in Charlotte you know overall Oh, I I’m telling you, we played good at Tampa and and at Carolina, so on the road. So, my biggest concern with a rookie right now is where’s our what’s up with our star center? Oh, no. That’s terrible, right? Oh, no. It’s like when you see leaving the the locker room today with a sling on his, you know, so I don’t have it torn something. What did coach Moore say? I kind of on the basically that his injury and Kendra Miller’s injury are concerning. Kendra Miller’s Did you see Kendra Miller get hurt? I saw him run. Nice run. Seven yards. All I know right now is just the knee issue he ended up leaving with. I I don’t know. But but again, look, the 49ers, they’ve been snake bit. Look all the injuries they have. Um but but they still won find a way to win. And Charlie just told me it’s a bicep for McCoy. Oh, well then you can’t block if you know if if you tore your bicep. No, that that’s season ending. So um I mean I don’t know. It might help our draft status. I mean, I I got to try to look at uh what potentially uh could be positive, but uh you know, it’s hard to be P. You know what was positive coming into the game? Not counting the playoffs. We beat the Bears seven games in a row. Counting the playoffs, we beat the Bears eight games in a row. Well, well, we can’t say that no more. Mark that off. We got to mark that off. But I tell you what, I like the trick play we ran. It just it figures but by inches uh it wasn’t legal cuz that was the old you remember damn it when the Chiefs run it works. Remember Kelsey when they do it it works but that was a great design. That would have been a 22 yard gain. Uh but not so fast. U you know it didn’t count. So I don’t know. Very disappointing loss cuz I don’t think even though the Bears have won four games in a row I don’t think the Bears are that good.
The New Orleans Saints turned the ball over four times and fell 26-14 to the fighting Dennis Allens, err, the Chicago Bears out at a soggy Soldier Field. So what are the Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert’s biggest takeaways? Let’s dive in.

don’t say Chicago isn’t anything when yall got smoked lol
You Can't Talk Hebert , NO Just don't have The Spunk , it's a Shame You just didn't Draft Sanders for your QB and Now You Guys 🤔 🤷 need aQB
TIME TO BENCH RATTLER PERMANENTLY. SORRY BUT THE RATTLER EXPERIMENT IS OVER AND HE FAILED MISERABLY. WE NEED TO PUT SHOUGH IN THE GAME TO SEE WHETHER OR NOT WE NEED TO DRAFT ANOTHER QUARTERBACK NEXT OFF SEASON BECAUSE RATTLER AIN'T IT AT ALL AND NEVER WILL BE. SMDH. I said when they named Rattler the starter we would go 0 and6 and dam i was so close. Look i didn't want him to fail but i knew he would be that bad and sure enough he made me right. He has no accuracy whatsoever and he doesn't see past his first two receivers and he panics inside of the 20 yard line. Again he failed miserably! SMMFH 😡
Its Sheaux Time
1-7,2-6 if Shough plays
I'll never understand how because our defense couldn't stop the run. Spencer Rattler needs to lose his job. Make no mistake. This was Spencer's worst game. He had four turnovers but it's not time for him to lose his job.
How in the heck was I not subbed to the Cajun Cannon😮 Great piece! Subbed and liked. I became a Saints fan in 1986 so it is great to be able to hear the radio show. Who Dat!
It's not bully ball. It's just sad.
He is like 1-12. He been making allot of mistakes
But hey, Gum Chompin' Mickey Loomis brought back Brandin Cooks! Way to go, Mickey!
Juwan Johnson empty calories
Let's face it, Tyler Shough is not going to make a difference. If anything, he'll make it worse. The offensive scheme is boring and predictable. The defensive scheme is as porous as a screen. The players are not inspired by the coaching staff. Don't blame it all on Rattler.
The Linebackers and secondary is lacking severely and the D-line is a close 3rd. There "should" definitely be some trades coming before November 4th with the Saints being sellers.
nice take Bobby, "when the chiefs run that play it counts" No truer words have ever been spoken.
gotta get rid of Mickey Loomis and Jeff Ireland some way, somehow . . . . . . . .
All Derek’s fault 😂 Good luck
Kamara is washed obv
Rattler will respond and throw 3td vs the bucs and saints will go on to be 6-6 in the next few weeks
ALL FACTS Bobby… please go be a guest on that Overtime show…. explain to those idiots that we got bullied….Every time we drive penalties killed the drive….play calling from the coach…. all they know is get rid of rattler…. it's sad
Nobody respect the aints bruh 😂
Willing still to give Moore some slack right now. He has nothing to work with. Rattler could get better if he learns to scramble better but willl never be the answer.Basically the entire defense needs to go. Lastly, the first person out the door should be Loomis.
Ever since Sean Payton left Albin Kamara has been Forced to run between the Tackles for Almost Zero Yardage. With Payton AK became a perennial Top Five RB playing everywhere else on the field.
It’s past time to go to Shough and see what you have. You know what you have in Rattler, he is a decent backup.
Saints need a Head coach 🤔 & a better QB RATTLER IS 1 & 12 thats trash 🗑️
Saints cannot return to significance unless and until Loomis HasToGo is gone
