Knicks vs. Celtics Live Streaming Scoreboard, Play-By-Play, Highlights & Stats | NBA On Prime Video
Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Yo, what’s going on everybody? You’re watching Knicks Now by Chat Sports. I am your host, Marshall Green. Friday night, Knicks is back in our lives. A rematch of the NBA Conference semifinals of last year. A little bit different looking of a team for the Boston Celtics. Uh, we got some injury news to discuss for the New York Knicks, but a game that I’m excited to watch. I think still a test and the Boston Celtics still have some talent. Um, Jaylen Brown, he’s going to look to have a game. Derek White is still one of the best shooters in the NBA. And if you take this team lightly and you just look past them, they can beat you. Don’t let that happen. play your game today and you should walk out of this one with a win to 2 and 0 and on your way to game number three. Appreciate everybody for being in the building tonight. I’m looking for my guy Jaylen Brunson to get it back rolling. Um kind of struggled shooting the ball a little bit I would say in the season opener. Uh but I’m not really too worried about him when it comes to making shots. He was getting to his spots. that was not an issue. He just was unable to really take the lid off the basket. Um I’ve kind of realized that Jaylen Brunson is somewhat of a slow starter uh to NBA seasons. Uh but he’s going to find his stride. He’ll be all right. And Jaylen’s one of those guys that doesn’t usually put together back-to-back bad performances. So I expect him to show up and show out. Got my guy Andrew Connell back in the building tonight, Friday night. Knicks. Yes, sir. Got to get there. Got to get there. Absolutely. Robert Randolph and the family band. The classic the best insider in the game apparently. But uh obviously on Prime tonight, so no Friday Night Knicks on MSG. First time on Prime. Uh we’ll see how that goes. But a lot of new broadcast partners in the NBA this year. And um yeah, I’m excited. This is now again another shift the last couple years. I’m excited to play the Celtics, man. I want to beat them and I expect to beat them. Uh, Celtics lost their first game to Philly on Wednesday when we beat the Cavs. So, uh, they’re going to be hungry for a win, but I think the Knicks MSG on a Friday night should be rocking. Let’s get a win. Let’s go 2 and 0 to start the Mike Brown era. It’ be pretty cool. Um, do have some injury news to get to. I think I just saw Josh Hart is going to play tonight after he was listed as out for game one. He is going to play. Josh Hart is going to play. We’re also going to have OG Anobi and Carl Anthony Towns playing as Knight. So everybody but Mitchell Robinson who is not hurt did not get hurt load managing the ankle injury. How is that possible? How’s that possible? Yeah, I don’t know. Load managing on the front half of the season is certainly interesting. Um I don’t know. Maybe they look at last year when he actually was hurt, missed a large portion of the front of the season, then was able to make a big impact in the playoffs. And I I obviously figured they’re trying to try to limit his games. But doing the beginning of the season is interesting. Or maybe he actually has a more serious injury and they’re just taking it slow. Yeah. I mean, I I just I don’t believe that. I don’t buy it for a second. You don’t load manage someone game one and game two of the season, but they play in the first three preseason games. That that doesn’t work out like that. You can try to sell me uh a bag of poop and and tell me it’s not poop, but it’s poop. What what what Mike Brown and the New York Knicks are selling. He played preseason game one, played preseason game two, played preseason game number three, did not practice, has not practiced since, and he’s going to miss the first two games of the regular season. It’s pretty obvious at this point he has uh suffered an injury. Who knows what the severity of that injury is, but I’m not buying that. They’re just low to managing him and there’s nothing wrong. That that doesn’t make any sense. Yeah. Um hoping for the best, but I think you have to expect the worst definitely with what you’ve heard and especially how Mitch’s career has gone to this point. Um so it was surprised that they were able to kind of control and limit some of the Cavs bigs as well as they did without Mitch. Um some pretty good minutes from Hawkport and really the bench as a whole played pretty well. Um I know we talked about Kick a lot and um I thought that he was really good about being aggressive and looking for a shot because in order for him to do what he does well, which is set other people up, they have to respect him as a scorer. So, him being aggressive uh really sets that up. And Stefan Bondi is tweeting out the starting lineup tonight. Jaylen Brunson, Male Bridges, OG and Obi, Carl Anthony Towns, and if you had to guess, AC, if you haven’t seen it yet, who do you think that fifth starter is? Uh, so you said Brunson and Obi Bridges. And, uh, I think we’ll go with Josh Hart if he’s playing and healthy. Nope. No, we get Yabu. Nope. McBride. Miles McBride. Marsh is happy. So, we’re getting the starting lineup that we’ve been wanting. At least I’ve been wanting on this channel for a while. Who knows how it’s going to go. I think it’s going to go pretty well. This is a lineup that I think both can maximize your offense while also maximizing your defense to a certain extent. Uh Brown talked about that fiveman lineup today and he said everyone on the floor can shoot, has range, and can play and can make plays defensively. A lot of interchangeable parts. We’ll dive more into that starting lineup in a second, but first I want to tell you about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. TA Cowboys in the building. What up? I’m still salty about how your boys cheated. They didn’t cheat at all. How they got a W against my Giants back in week two. A little bit upset about that one. My man Lord Smith in the building says, “High fives, baby. High five.” Shout out to you, my man. Good to see you. Hope all is well. Let’s ride. Let’s ride. Let’s ride. Exactly how many chat sports channels are there, man? There’s a lot. There’s a lot. 40. Yeah, I mean, we’re at like 25 at minimum in football. We’ve got like seven college football. We’ve got a main chat sports channel and we got like eight NBA channels. So, we’re right at 40, if not over 40. We’re growing, man. We’re growing like crazy. And it’s uh in large part because of y’all, man. In large part because of y’all. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do if it wasn’t for all of you. So, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Uh it means a lot. Let’s go. And if you guys are already here, you’re probably a real one. You’re in the chat. You’re obviously subscribed. But if you are new here, we’ve got over 300 people in the building. You love watch parties. You love the Knicks. You love watching the Knicks with us. Go ahead and subscribe. Help us reach our goal of 81,000 people. Uh we put out videos every single day on the Knicks, all the latest news. Uh everything that’s coming out about the Knicks, we’ll be talking about it. So, we would appreciate it. Help support us and doesn’t cost anything. But big game against the Celtics, Marsh, I’ll ask you, what’s your biggest key to victory tonight for the Knicks? Uh they just do what they did uh in opening night. play their game. I mean, as long as you play up to your ability, I think this should be a game that you win easily. So, I guess that would be don’t take the Boston Celtics lightly. They’re going to be playing with an extra pep in their step, right? I mean, you sent him home last year. You ended their opportunity to win back-to-back NBA Finals. Um, I’m curious to see what the energy level is like. I know there’s no Jason Tatum, but there’s still players on that team that can make plays. And they beat us in a playoff game without Jason Tatum. I know there’s no more Al Horford. I know there’s no more Poor Zingis or Drew Holiday, but they’re going to get up a lot of threes. The Knicks did not defend the three-point line well against Cleveland. Um that that’s going to be something that they got to focus on in a major way for me. Yeah, that’s definitely something that’s the kind of the Missoula ball, Celtics style of play. Get up a lot of threes, try and maximize your efficiency with the three over the two. Um, definitely an area for Mike Brown and the Knicks as a whole to improve upon and just overall limit the attempts, make them uncomfortable. Don’t let them do what they want to do. Try and play make them play your game and control kind of the flow and pace of the game. So, uh, it’ll be interesting to see if the Knicks can kind of keep up that offensive flow that they had. Pretty balanced scoring across the board. OG was in the 20s. Brunson, uh, not his most efficient game, but he uh, he contributed as well. Bridges was hot in the first half and Towns despite, uh, not his best performance, dropped in 19 as well. So, we’ll see if, uh, who steps up tonight or it’s a balanced effort again. Was too. I just sent you to Slack. Check that out for me. Um, as we’re still probably 20ish minutes away from tip off at MSG, I’m pumped up, man. Uh, I think they are. Countdown to tip. Yeah. No, we’re still we’re still a good ways away from this game being tipped off. They’re going to milk that pregame show. That’s what they’re doing. Larry, what up dog? Says, “What up, Marsh? Great to be back at the building with you. looking forward to a great season with the Knicks going to the NBA Finals. Look, yeah, there’s a there’s a chance that this team can get to the NBA Finals and they probably should get to the NBA finals, but there is a long way until then. It’s I know we love to do that, look forward, look down the line and all that fun stuff, but this is this is game two. game two of 82 and game two of the coach Brown era. Like he’s got to be able to still try to connect in the best way with this team and figure out which buttons to push and which buttons not to push and which lineups to go with and how to figure out what is the best way for this team to play. And I know that that could essentially be a, oh, they need to play the Mike Brown way. Mike Brown’s a really good coach and he’s a coach that in my opinion puts what the team does best instead of his play style. And that’s what I’m looking for. That’s what I’m looking for. I want a coach that does that has a system, but the system is based off of the ingredients, the players, and the personnel that they have. That’s where I’m at. G5, what up, my man? Shout out to you, bro. Shout out to Michael P. And the P stands for player. Shout out to Michael P. $10 super chat. Shout out to Larry coming in with a super chat. And shout out to the dark cow as well. Shout out to all of y’all. I appreciate it, man. Super chats go a long way on this channel. It is Friday night, Nick Knicks, so I’m down to party a little bit. We’ll do this. I’ve got one. I’ve got two, four, five happy dads left. There’s only five happy dads left at the entire Chat Sports HQ. So, every time we reach $50 as a crew for Friday night, I’ll do a beer shotgun. We’re up to 18 right now. Once we get to 50, I’ll I’ll do I’ll do a beer shotgun for all of the real ones. It’s Friday night. Knicks, Amazon Prime, Knicks, Celtics. It doesn’t get much bigger than this for October hoops. Michael P, what up? Michael Pernell. Thank you for the $10 super chat, bro. Appreciate you being here. Always supporting the channel. Says, “The schedule has screwed us again. I can’t make it up. 45 for the November game. I’m hoping you might come this way in February. Man, I’m so disappointed.” But we will get together in the future. We’re going to figure it out, man. We are. We’re going to figure out a way where we can actually do a real Knicks now meetup between all of the real ones. Um, I got to figure out what is best for everybody, what makes the most sense, and we’re going to have to put some planning into it. But we’re going to find a way, Michael, to get everybody all under one same roof, watch these Nicks together, and have a damn good time because that’s what we do here. And that’s what, man, I want to do it in person. I want to hang out with all the real ones. and uh have some freaking fun, man. That’s what it’s all about. 407 people watching. If you could please hit that thumbs up icon. We are about 15ish minutes away from the game starting. So, if you could hit that like button. If you have liked the video, type me down in the comment section. My guy Larry T from Harlem. That’s a real one right there. Appreciate you being here, Larry. It’s always good vibes, man. You’re my guy. Let’s go Knicks, bro. Let’s go. It’s me. Uh, it’s me. I don’t really know how to say that, so I’m not. But it says, “Go New York. Go New York. Go. Go New York. Go New York. Go.” Shout out to you, bro. Thank you for being here. Moose. Trace Mustakus in the building. What up, dog? My man. He says, “Smells like a Nick win. Go New York. Go New York. Go New York. Go New York. Go.” Shout out to Trace Mustakis. That’s my guy, bro. Moose, it’s a good day to have a good day. It’s a good day to have a good day. Moose is actually one of the few people in the office to pick the New York Knicks to win the NBA Finals. I feel like there was a lot of biased answers because they didn’t want to acknowledge that our team, my team, the Knicks team, the number one NBA team with the most fans in that room. Other teams didn’t other people didn’t want to pick them. Um, so I loved it. I loved it. Shout out to my man, Trace. We’re gonna try We’ll do $10 to enter this one. Andrew, we’re gonna do a $10 entry to get into a 5050 raffle. We do this on our Giants channel all the time. We like giving you guys an opportunity to put some money in your pocket. We’ve given away thousands of dollars, $2,400 at a time on Giants. We’re going to do a 50/50 raffle. It’s $10 to enter. Every $10 that gets sent in, 50% goes back in to the pot and at the end of the show, we will do a essentially a drawing of raffle tickets via a duck race and whoever wins that, you’re going to get 50% of the pot. So, uh, wanted to try that on today’s show. See what you guys feel about that. Maybe it’s a Friday night likes thing, but um hey, one chance to maybe go home with some money and do that. We could do that as well. Yeah. And obviously we’ve seen sometimes people like to tilt the odds in their favor and go heavy and and enter a lot of times and that works out for them. And sometimes we’ve seen people who have only entered once and gone home with all the money and uh if you want to call it an investment, make a significant investment and uh receive significant returns. So, uh, it’s really up to you, but it’s a good way if you’re looking to have some fun to, uh, potentially come home with some cash and hopefully on top of a Knicks win as well. So, Bronx boy says, “Bring back the wheel.” Oh, the wheel, man. That was Those were some bad days, man. Those were some bad days. Maybe for Friday Night, we could have ran the wheel today. Uh, the wheel the wheel of drinks, the wheel of doom. It’s uh, it’s You guys have gotten $5 boots before. It doesn’t I don’t really love that. I don’t really love that, but hey, it is what it is, I guess, when the odds are the odds. I bet Chanty Phillips would put some chips on that. Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, I saw people talking about that in the in the chat. I don’t know if you wanted to give your thoughts on the whole situation. Just don’t be stupid would be kind of my thoughts. Yeah, you already have uh a lot of money. No reason to blow that. Let’s go. Ken Van Eps, what up my man? Coming in with a $2 super chat. Thank you, Ken. He says he is going, Marsh. Who’s he? We’re going. Knicks are going. We’re going all the way. How’s it going? Is I’m sure what he’s saying. It’s going good, man. Game number two of 82. Um, like there’s not many times, and Andrew kind of talked about it. I’m expecting to beat the Celtics today. Yeah, it’s uh something that if you’re probably around our age, hasn’t been something we’ve been able to say. Most of the time, most of our life, most of our Knicks fandom, we’ve kind of been expecting head into games with Boston expecting to lose. Um, so it feels good and I think that’s why last year was so sweet as well. And hopefully we pick up right where we left off. Shout out to everybody coming in with super chats. We’re going to get those all on screen. We appreciate y’all. Darren the tuber, DT, my man. Long time real. What up? Darren says, “Glad Knicks are streaming on Prime. Philly has no love.” The the the powers that be in Philadelphia, they do not love showing Darren the tuber the games, but you’re able to watch a national broadcast. Today, we’re pumped up, man. Knicks are going to play a lot of national TV games. It didn’t used to always be like that. When it was, it was usually the Knicks getting mollywpped. Um, now they’re playing on national TV like 40 times this year and I’m expecting to win every single time. I’m juiced up for this one. My man K at K says, “I’ll pay O. O, my man. I appreciate you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for showing love to the channel.” Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. It’s Friday night. picks wins the raffle, we will do it at the end of the game. You won’t have to be here because I’ll have the uh I’ll have the cash. Whatever method you choose to whether it’s Venmo or Cash App, he’ll obviously have that so he can send the money right back from where he got it from for whoever the winner is. There we go. There we go. There we go. We’re also $15 away from getting to $50 in super chats. That’ll be the first beer shotgun of the night. every time we reach the next interval of 50. I got to be your shotgun. Word Buddy Bear says, “I know that as the F Sam tune.” That’s kind of the original way that it started. Sam like Sam Brown. Really? Yeah. It used to be a song on Raiders. F Sam. F Sam. F Sam. F Sam. Really should have been saying that uh when he was in our studio saying there’s no way the Broncos could come back and they did come back. Yeah, that was rough. Let’s go. Shout out Ward Buddy. How you doing, bro? You ready for this? Lord Buddy Bear. Friday Night Nicks. Friday Night Nicks on MSG. Front row seats. Do it just to get there. Donkey says, “Is Duce starting?” Yeah, Deuce is uh Deuce is in the starting lineup. So, who knows? Maybe Mike Brown has been watching some Knicks now and uh he said, “You know what? This guy, Marshall Green, he’s got a cool Widow’s peak. He makes some good points. Uh maybe he’ll throw Deuce in the starting lineup.” Look, they they they I was talking about trading for OG and know before they talked about it. I talked about trading downtown towns for Randall. It predates Mike Brown. So maybe So it’s Leon or it’s someone else. I think someone inside the building watches this show. That’s all I’ll say. It makes it all the dots are starting to connect. Look, there’s documentation on the channel. I can’t delete old videos. I can’t make old videos. Um we we have had a pretty good track record of guessing correctly about what’s going on. Bobby Peters in the building. What up, Bobby? Tony in the building. We got two Tony’s. We got Tony LGK and we got my man Tony for New Jersey. What up, fellas? What up? What up? What up? My man Carl Jean Baptiste aka Iron Bear Grizz. What’s happening, man? What up? Uh, Boss Kid Gaming, I do see you, bro. I do see you in the chat. Do you see me? Can you see me? I do. I do. I do. I do. I do. I do. Do I do? Let’s go, man. Getting ready to roll here up to It is 7:30 and we’re watching him get loose. Jaylen Brown, it is his birthday today. I’d love for the New York Knicks to beat Jaylen Brown on his birthday. That’d be pretty cool. That would be sweet. Send him home with a terrible birthday gift. All right, listen. We got over 500 people in the building. only 147 likes on this video. Let’s get to 250 likes. Doesn’t cost anything. It’s free. Helps get the stream to more Nicks fans so you guys can all watch the Knicks together with us on Nicks. Now, um let’s get those a lot of people looking for a stream tonight. People probably don’t a lot of people don’t have Amazon Prime. Let’s make this the number one watch Nick stream like we always do. Could everybody take two seconds to just hit that thumbs up icon? I’d appreciate it. Once you have liked the video, I’ll have Andrew Connell give shout outs to people that type me in the chat. But with 570 people watching and only 182 likes, the math ain’t mathing. So, if you could smack that thumbs up icon and let’s go. If you’ve liked it, type me. Shout out to Louise. Shout out to Boss Kid Gaming. Shout out to George Jordan. My man George Jordan. What up, man? What up? What up? What up, Matthew Valls? Matthew vs. That’s my guy. Iron Bear, Grizz, Random, Lorenzo, Nick, Matthew back again. Yeah, that’s it. Just Just as I start to kind of get to know everyone, first game, get to know everyone, they change it and now we’re seeing usernames and uh and not names. So, I don’t love it. I don’t know why they sometimes they do that. I don’t know why they got that going on. The Knicks are now up to four and a half point favorites in this ball game. We saw VJ Edgecom have a big game against the Boston Celtics on opening night. Um could we see maybe a big game from Jaylen Brunson? Could we see Male Bridges have a big game? Um, this Boston Celtics team with the personnel that they have due to the injuries, I don’t expect them to be a great defensive team this year. Um, they’re going to jack up a lot of threes and that’s how they’re going to try to beat you. Yeah. I mean, uh, Horford gone as well. Cornet, they lost as well. So, I’m not sure they really have a rim protector there or a big guy. Kada, baby. Yeah. Uh, Luca Garza. If I’m uh if I’m Carl Towns, if I’m anyone, if I’m Brunson, I’m not scared of anyone in that paint. I’m taking it. I’m attacking the hoop. And um you know, it’s another thing I did. I watched I rewatched the highlights from the game. And uh I saw a couple nice passes from Hawkport to Towns and back and forth that high low action. Something that you can’t you don’t really get with Mitch. Mitches, you know, we know who Mitch is as a player at this point and he does a lot of great things, but Hawkporty able to kind of pass the ball out of the high post gives the Knicks a little bit of a different element there. Yeah, we’ll see how many minutes he plays as well. I mean, we’re two games into the season and we’re already going back to Clark Anthony Towns at the five. There was some chatter that Hucky would be the guy that starts when Mitchell Robinson does not play. Um, game two starting lineup number two and neither of them had featured Mitchell Robinson. So, we’ll see what goes on. Uh, but what goes forward and how that lineup continues to play out, but I I like the five that are on the floor today. That means more minutes for for guards off the bench as well. Deuce ate up a lot of those minutes in game one. You obviously have Josh Hart back into the fold. How much will Kick play? How much will Jordan Clarkson play? How much is Landry Sheam going to play? The way that Brown goes about managing that, balancing that, that’s a storyline to me tonight. Definitely. Uh Josh Hartback in the fold on the bench, so I’m sure he’s probably going to absorb some of those minutes, although obviously not at the same spot, but um we’ll see. Just another piece now for Brown with lineup flexibility to uh just tinker with some different lineups. We got Eric Golden coming in with the $2 super chat. He says, “How do you like Deuce over eight and a half points and a cat double double?” I like Deuce over eight and a half a lot. Uh, I could I mean I don’t think it’s crazy to say Kat has a double double at all. Yeah, he’s uh I think how much if he plays 30 minutes he’s gonna get there. It’s all gonna come down to minutes for him. He does have that quad strain that he said bothering him a little bit. So, we’ll see on that front as we’re six minutes past scheduled tip off and we’re still not there. Yeah, we may have to adjust this clock a little bit there. They just went back to the studio. Not sure. Check your Slack for me if you can. We can roll that. You know, we got ex producer Smitty hosting our Boston Celtics channel these days. Um, and as always, I I just want to make the case that Nicks now is is the best of the best. Um, we’re going to be doing a little super chat battle verse Boston Celtics today. I’m sure we have a little bit of a slight lead, but I wouldn’t be shocked. Wouldn’t be shocked. Um, we’ll see if we can walk away with a dub in the super chat battle as well as on the court as Taylor Rooks, Dirk Noitzky, Steve Nash, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Hasslam. I thought Udonis Ham was on ESPN. Maybe he got poached. Big free agent move in the media world over to Amazon Prime. Donkey Eater says Taylor is a baddie. Oh, Donkey Eater. Petra, what up? Oh, Lord Buddy Bear. Lol. Miss Thang says, “Easy win for the Knicks.” Ah, it’s all easy. I don’t know if easy is the word, but it should be a win. Do I know the starting lineup? I do. It is. Jaylen Brunson, Miles McBride, Male Bridges, OG Anobi, and Carl Anthony Towns. Josh Hart’s coming off the bench. Mitchell Robinson is out. The Knicks going with a true five out lineup with three elite perimeter defenders and your two offensive engines as well. I’ve kind of been clamoring for this to be the starting lineup since they made the Carl Anthony Trent Towns trade that’s documented on the channel. I wanted it to be the starting lineup last year. Um, and here we get it. We’re going to get it in game two of the season. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Are you ready to rumble? Normally the commentators rip the Knicks or put them down. Don’t see that this season. I think they’re finally taking us seriously. I mean, how can they not? How can they not? Eric says, “Marsh called out the plus minus with Deuce last year.” Yeah, I mean it was in the numbers. Like when you looked at those twoman lineups of Brunson and Miles McBride, those yielded the best results for the Knicks of almost any guard combination they had. Um, and we saw we’ve seen Miles McBride have some big games and we’ve seen Brunson be able to play next to another game next to another guy, excuse me, that can handle the rock. Brunson’s one of the best and has been the best player off the catch in the NBA per points per spot up. Um, the Knicks want to get him more catch and shoot threes. I like it. Seth Gross, what up, man? The Knicks are favored by four and a half in this one. Four and a half in this one. Yeah, I thought McBride looked good on Wednesday. Oh, McBride looked real good on Wednesday. 800 people watching. If you haven’t yet, please hit that thumbs up icon. would greatly greatly appreciate it. Smack that thumbs up icon. Coming in with a $2 super chat. Then another one says it makes even more sense now with Brown’s plus plus pace. Yeah, the starting lineup makes a lot more sense. Knicks want to run under Mike Brown. Let’s see how they start. Man, I think the way they start the third quarter as well is going to be important. The Knicks have been a team that hasn’t started third quarters well in a while. Let’s see if they could do that with this new starting lineup they’re ready to roll out. Darren the Tuber. Stan Van Gundy is doing commentary on Amazon Prime. Yes, he is. Yes, he is. Stan Van Gundy, Nick Sater. Oh, Alper. Everyone from that old TNT with Van Gundy and Reggie. I think they would do games together sometimes and it was just uh awful in here. That’s a doom. That’s a major doom. As the Knicks will be wearing their white jerseys, the the Celtics will be wearing their green. It’ll be Carl Anthony Towns and Nemius Kada tipping this one off. Knicks, Celtics, Friday night hoops at the world’s most famous arena. The ball is up and the Celtics will win the tip and we are underway. Give me some LGKs in the chat. Brown will have it on the left wing. Anobi will pick him up early. Brown will drive baseline then swing it back up top to Pritchard. McBride on him. Kada sets a screen back up top to Hower for three. It’s good. The Knicks did not defend the three-point line well against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They’re going to have to do it against Boston. You know, they want to get their threes up in punches. Bridges and Towns. Twoman game. Towns drive. Contact. Offensive foul. An offensive foul. Carl Anthony Towns called for a charge. And there we go. Pritchard to bring it up now. Him and white. They’ll run the guard spot for Boston. Bridges guarding White. They’ll feed Brown again on the left wing. Almost the same action. An Obi to defend him. Swinging around the perimeter. Pritchard to drive. Finds a rolling Neas Kada on the pick and roll. Fouled and one. The Knicks find themselves in a five-point hole here early. Lot of ball movement, a lot of player movement for the Boston Celtics. See if the Knicks are going to be able to keep up with that on defense. 847 people watching. Only 28 289 likes. He’ll drive and swing to Kada. Kada drives. He hits Towns in the face and they call it. Offensive foul. Nick’s ball going that way. Boss Kid Gaming says, “Can you show the game, brother? If we could show the game.” Don’t you think we’d show the game? Obviously not. We don’t own Amazon Prime’s video rights. I appreciate you being here. I appreciate everybody being here. Oh, we’ll have a full fake spin high off the glass. No good. Towns with the board. Then I’ll have it stolen underneath. Brunson had that shot affected by Kada. He’s made an impact here early. Jaylen Brown driving. Lost it. Out of bounds. Turnover. His sloppy ball handling continues. How long have a delay? Do we got a delay going or no? McBride to drive. Kicks into the corner to Brunson. He’ll redirect to Bridges. Bridges driving. They double. He sees it and an Obi swing. Swing. Are you trying to match that up a little better? Well, do you think it was matching it or no? for sure. I just it feels like it is a lot behind on my end. Brun brunson inbound to Bridges for three. No good. Like put the Bridges up real quick. Let’s see how long it takes to update that he shot a three. There it goes. So about 7 seconds after Towns blocks Pritchard. Loose ball picked up by the Knicks. Bridges in transition. Hands off to Brunson. Brunson driving on Hower into the lane. Contact. Gets it to go. No foul called, but Brunson banks it in. Brown looking to drive on Anobi. Left hand finish up and in. Plus the foul. Plus the foul. Yeah, definitely speed that up. Haven’t even updated score yet. Brown with a strong drive and finish. Brown at the line. He had 25 in the season opener for Boston. His free throw is no good. Left it short. Towns will haul in the board. Here comes Brunson. Pritchard has been physical with him on the defensive end. Brunson has him on the left wing. He’ll enter the post. Face up, redirect, spin move, baseline drive, drop step, reverse layup, smoked. Brunson has not been able to find the range here early again. Derek White up top. He’ll run the show for Boston trying to work Sam Hower off ball. White will get it to Kada. Gets it right back. Drive. Easy layup over male Bridges. Knicks haven’t had much resistance on the defensive end. Brunson to Bridges. Bridges drive into the corner. Wide open three for McBride. In and out. Halfway down. And then there’s going to be a foul on Carl Anthony Towns. His second of the night, I believe. A loose ball foul on Cat. Something that just is something he always does. And then a foul on Bridges on the other hand. On the other end, excuse me. It’ll be Boston ball in the front court. 1100 people watching. Please hit that thumbs up icon. White will inbound to Kada. Kada hands off to Pritchard. He’ll use the screen. Swings to Brown. He’ll rise up for three. Left wing. No good. Rebound by Towns. Brunson to push off the miss. He’ll find Bridges. Hand off to Anobi. He’ll try for three. Too strong. Rebound by McBride. He’ll have it in the corner. The Knicks extra effort. Pan off. They’ll post up Towns. He’s fouled on the entry pass by Pton Pritchard. It’s actually two fouls on Male Bridges. I thought they called that second foul on Towns. 742 left in this first quarter. Knicks trail by three. Shamut in the game. Immediately catch and shoot. No good. Bridges will sit down. First sub for the Knicks is Shamut in for Bridges. Brown on the right wing. He’s got Brunson on him. He’s going to attack. Gets to the foul line. Rise up. Good. Knicks trail by five. Jaylen Brown. 13 ft shot is good. Brunson drive. Floater up. No good. Brunson unable again to find the range. He struggled so far this year. Putting the shot in. Brown in the left wing posting up. Shamut driving. Floater up. left it short. Kada with the board. Beat Anobi to the ball. He’ll get it to Pritchard. Pritchard’s drive is cut off. He’ll swing. Derek White for three. No good. Rebound by Shamut. He’ll bring it up. Under seven to go. Shamut to Towns trailing for three. In and out. The Knicks have had about four threes. Rattle in then rattle out as Derek White trying to drive on Brunson. help defense from Towns and he finds a knifing Nemius Kada into the paint and he throws it down. Knicks defense has been pretty poor to start I would say. An Obi hands off to Brunson. Brunson guarded by Brown on the right wing. Hands off to Deuce. Deuce will now swinging around the perimeter. Towns featured on the left elbow. Back door passenobi. He’ll have it under the rim. Back out to Towns. Three-pointer. Got it. Great ball movement by the Knicks. Big time shot making by Towns. Ko to the right wing to Pritchard. He’ll try a three. No good. Rebound by Shamut. Shamut will get it to Brunson. Brunson back to Shamut. He’ll try to drive. Loses it but gets it back. Towns now right wing. Rip through. Drive on Kada. Euroep. Blocked by Hower. Lot of contact. No call. Boston off and running. Brown into the lane trying to play bully ball. His pass is stolen by McBride. The Knicks will get out and run. Towns top of the key. Three. Good. Count it. And the foul. A four-point play. Carl Anthony Towns cuts the lead to one and he can tie it at the free throw line. Three of four from deep. Towns has the range early. We’re going to go to a TV timeout as well. Thank you, brother. Am I the only one whose stream is messing up like the YouTube stream or the game to the stream stream game stream? Here we go. Towns at the line looking to finish this three-point play. Free throw up. Too strong. No good. Rebound by Boston. Kada has it underneath and stolen by Brunson. Got it back. Laid it in. Oh, they said he was out of bounds. They said Brunson was out of bounds when he stole the ball. Appreciate it. What up, Creed? Says the stream is skipping a little. I just refresh it if that says it’s good on our end. Here we go. Boston making some substitutions. Bush, Tilman, Simons, Baylor, Shyman, and Gonzalez are in for Boston. Anthony Simons, new addition for Boston. Up top, gets a screen from Tilman. Swinging it around. Bush, he’ll have to fire. Mid-range Jay, no good, but an offensive board by Tilman out to Simons for three. No good. Rebound finally grabbed by Shamut. And then he’s thrown out of bounds. No call. Here comes Josh Hart. his first minutes of the year. He’ll find a trailing deuce. And now we’ll play half court ball. Subs for the Knicks as well. Brunson, McBride, Yabiselli, Hart, and Shamut are on the floor. McBride shaking, baking, kicking. Brunson swinging, and the ball was knocked out of bounds by Simons. The Knicks will throw it in in front of their bench with 4.8 seconds left on the shot clock. What up, Justin? Shout out to y’all, man. Shout out to y’all. Good start for Towns offensively. Brunson struggling a little bit. He didn’t play all that well offensively in game one. He has He’ll have the ball here with a chance to score. Driving kick. Yaboo three. Blocked by Buchรฉ. Shot clock violation. Yabelli didn’t do much in the first game either. Here we go. Gonzalez on the right wing for Boston. Running through a screen, driving into the lane. Left-hand layup. Good. Hugo Gonzalez with a layup off the left hand over the outstretched arms of Yabaselli. McBride and Brunson up top. McBride defended by Simons. He’ll pull up for three. No good. No good. Here comes Boston off the miss. Simons top of the key. Blows by Yabiselli. Stops in the mid-range. He’ll fire. Good. Knicks defense being exposed right now on pace to almost give up 30 points this quarter. Josh Hart in the game. He’ll drive on Buchรฉ. Spin move. Pump fake blocked. Hart got it back. Saved it. Got it to Yabiselli. the extra effort. Hart now in the corner getting a screen from Yaboo. Finding Brunson on the weak side. He’ll drive. Bank shot up. No good, but a foul. Hopefully these free throws can get Jaylen Brunson locked in as he’s one for four from the field. Hasn’t found the range yet. Ninja Samurai, what up? Did I call you Justin? Just passing through 89. My bad, Brody. My bad. They switched all y’all’s names to y’all’s ats on YouTube, so it’s a little bit different. Marsh fan number one in the building. What up? Brunson makes his first free throw. Three points on the night for JB. Knicks cut the lead to four. OG and an Obi enters the game for Miles McBride. Here we go. Boston on the other end. Simons left wing defended by Yaviselli. Doing a good job moving his feet. He’ll drive and kick to Buchรฉ. Pump fake. Three over an Obi. Air ball out of bounds. It’ll be Nicks Rock heading up the court. Here we go. Josh Hart bringing it up for the Knicks. It’s Anobi Brunson, Yabiselli, Hart, and Shamut. Second game in a row. Brunson has played entirely the first quarter. Brunson pull up three. No good. Rebound by Buchรฉ. Austin quickly the other way. Gonzalez in the corner working on Brunson. Step back three. Air ball, but a rebound by Tilman and he’ll clean it up. The Knicks are shooting 25% from the field. Shamut has it around the rim. Kicks it out. Knicks will fire. It’s Josh Hart. Horrible shot. It hit backboard first. His finger injury said he said it’s still a major problem. It looked like it on that three. Baylor Shyman drive blowby pass Yaboo swing into the corner for three missed. Rebound by the Knicks. Anobi to push. He’ll find Brunson. Brunson into the lane. Drive kick. Yaboo swing. Shamut three. Good. Great ball movement. Shamut finishes. Timeout Boston. Knicks cut the lead to two. The quick release of Landry Shamut paying off. I mean, he got that ball off quickly and the net barely moved. He’s a big- time shooter, man. He really found the range for the Knicks in the second half of the year when he bounced back from that shoulder injury. If he’s able to shoot like that, AC, that’s a big boost. Yeah, I mean, a guy who is a strong defender and those three and D players are so valuable in the NBA, you see teams trying to collect as many of them as possible. and Shamut, a guy who probably more known for his defense, but if that shot can get going, that’s only going to help the Knicks and make him more valuable and get him more minutes and move him up in the pecking order for coach Mike Brown. The Knicks outside of Carl Anthony Towns, I believe, are two of 11 or one of 10. No, Brunson has a made shot. So they’re I mean Anobi’s 0 for one. Yaveelli’s 0 for one. Hart’s 0 for two. Brunson one for five. Towns is three uh of four from three. The Knicks Yeah. are any other any other threes tonight on the field goal percentage. They need to start hitting some shots. They’re lucky to only be down two with those uh with those splits as well, but doing a good job defending the three against Boston. They’re only one of eight. So, 20 likes away from 400 likes. If you could, please hit that thumbs up icon. Once you have, type me in the chat. We got over 1300 people already tuned in. Randy G coming in with a two $2 super chat. Thank you, Randy, for being here, bro. Thank you for supporting this stream. Let’s go. Let’s effing go Knicks. 100% right. 100% right. And uh hopefully the Knicks can knock down some more shots because Randy said he’s going three for each three. Ooh, a three for each three. I like that. At this rate, that might be the only time he does it. Yeah, Randy, we appreciate you, brother. Thank you. Seriously. Seriously, bringing some life, bringing some fun to the stream. That’s awesome. But, uh, like Marshall said, we’ve got over,300 people in here. only 410 likes. Those are rookie numbers. We’re trying to get that up. Hopefully you’re still considering doing that this year. Brunson won a five. It’s only a matter of time before all those shots start falling. Absolutely. I think uh I think by the end of this game hopefully he’ll be uh we’ll be singing a different tune on Brunson. He’ll heat up. Nicholas Lewis, Alex, Frank, 50 likes away from 500. Let’s go. Let’s go. We appreciate you, JRock. You make me laugh. Joey Duca in the building. What up? What up, Joey? All right. Five on the floor for Boston. Jaylen Brown, Chris Buchet, Tilman, Simons, and Gonzalez. It’s Anobi Towns, Brunson Hart, and Shammit for the Knicks. Boston will have it in the front court. Tilman. Hand off to Simons. Simons. Back to Tilman. He’ll fire for three over Towns. Good. Carl Anthony Towns late to get out on shooters. Continues to be a carryover effect from last year. Brunson will bring it up the left side. He’s guarded by Gonzalez. Knicks trail by five. 85 seconds to go left in the quarter. Brunson up top, defended by Tilman. I’d like to see him go to work. He will. Blowby into the lane. Lost it. They’re going to say out of bounds off Boston. Brunson will throw it in. Knicks have six to shoot. Brunson looking, finding Hart in the corner. Hart swinging to Towns. Towns back door to Hart. He’ll lay it up and in. Good pass by the big man. Easy bucket for Josh Hart. His first points of the year. Jaylen Brown. Pass to a cutting Gonzalez. He’ll hand it off now to Buchรฉ in the corner. Tilman will now handle. Towns pressing up. 10 on the shot clock trying to work Brown. He’ll get it and an Obi fighting gets a hand up. They called a foul and one from three. Jaylen Brown knocks in the three after being fouled. Chance to extend the lead to seven. The Knicks already had their home four-point play fall. I mean, Jaylen Brown definitely jumped forward and he kicked his leg out, but anytime you contact a jump shooter like that, they’re going to usually call that one. 2620, 49 seconds left. His free throw is good. Knicks down by seven as Brown converts the three-point play. Hart will handle and now give it to Brunson. JB to bring it up the left side. Gonzalez picking him up all the way at midcourt. 10 on the shot clock. He’ll get a screen from Shamut. Brunson guarded by Simons. Walking him down at the foul line. Fall away. Got it. That’s his bread and butter. He walked him down into the office and said, “This is what I do.” Knicks up by five. Boston can work on a two for one. Brown drive, kick, Simons for three. Good. The Knicks three-point defense yet again. Not good. Down by eight. Largest lead of the night. Brunson crosses half court with 10 left in the quarter. He’ll be defended by Simons again. They now send a double. He dribbles around it. Fires to Hart. He’ll drive. Three, two, one. Layup, no good. Knicks lose the first quarter by eight. You’re not going to win many games if you shoot the way the New York Knicks did in that first quarter. Grade the first quarter so far. That’s a D for me. That’s a D first quarter. You didn’t defend. You didn’t execute on offense. You didn’t really do anything at a high enough clip to win that quarter. Now, giving up 30 points and shooting the way they did, uh, not really much you can hang your hat on there to say, “All right, at least we did this.” Well, I guess the most positive thing is that they’re only down eight despite how they’ve played. So, disappointing, especially when we thought we could come out and jump on this Celtics team a little bit given, um, they’re obviously missing some guys and the Knicks played well and they lost and the Knicks won. But, um, yeah, I think I’ll have to go with a D as well. Not a disaster, but pretty close to it. Yeah. I mean, what did Boston shoot from three that quarter? I mean, the Knicks shot the ball terribly. 36% from three for Boston. They’re on pace for 44 threes hoisted tonight and 16 of them made. So, if you’re going to allow teams to shoot 36% on 11 attempts per quarter, you’re you’re going to struggle. Especially when you shoot four of 14. You got more threes up than Boston. You made the same, but they shot what? Eight of They shot eight of 11 from two. You shot four of 12 from two. Yeah. that means that they’re getting great looks and they’re hitting them and they’re probably uh getting to the rim pretty easily as well. So, uh Knicks maybe missing Mitchell Robinson on the inside protecting the rim and even we saw them not have that issue against the Celtics. Maybe even Hawk Porty was doing the job of protecting the rim as well. A town’s not obviously not a natural rim protector and um kind of some of the trade-off when you go with a more spaced out lineup is maybe not going to have that protection around the rim. We saw Kada get a few buckets inside as well. Um so um not a great start for Jaylen. Two of six. Not terrible. Obviously made a big shot there at the end, but six points for him. McBride got the start, but uh didn’t was unable to connect. 03 from the field, 02 from behind the ark. Uh Towns was most of the offense in that first quarter, nine points, three rebounds as well. Three of four from behind the ark. So, uh he showed off the play, not really showing any ill effects from that injury that he uh is supposedly dealing with. He looks pretty good. Quiet first quarter from OG. 0 of one on his only attempt and not much from Bridges either. three attempts, one of three, two points and one rebound and 0 of two from behind the arc. So other than Towns, I would say room to improve for pretty much everyone heading into the second quarter. Yeah, they got to pick it up. I mean, everyone’s got to play better. No one played good enough that quarter. Towns was good offensively, but he didn’t step up a couple times on the pick and roll coverage. And um you’re you’re you’re hacking and you’re whacking. An Obi two fouls. Male Bridges, two fouls. He’s got to play better. Didn’t play good that quarter. Weren’t ready to go. These are guys they should be locking up as well. So, it’s not like you’re getting you’re picking up fouls against top tier NBA guys. The Knicks should be able to slow down the Celtics lineup. So, my man Liam Loft is in the building. What up? All right. Knicks to start the second quarter. It’s Kak Shamck, Clarkson, Towns, and Anobi. Walsh Simons, Buchรฉ Brown, and White for Boston. Towns back door feed to Anobi and he throws it down. Love that. A play in the half court out of a timeout essentially change of quarter. You get an easy back door cut and slam for two. Mike Brown getting his Duffy on that play call. Knicks trail by six. Bush to have it up top. Anobi guarding him. 10 on the shot clock. Buchet hands to White. Clarkson trailing. Anobi switching. White floater up. Missed it. rebound out of bounds off the Knicks. Shot clock has not reset yet. I think it’s going to be 6 seconds to shoot from Boston as they’ll inbound from under their own hoop as we’re showing Adam Silver be interviewed which no one cares about. 6 to shoot. White throwing it in to Buchรฉ. Didn’t get it off. Shot clock violation. Nick’s ball going that way. Give me some D’s in the chat. Defense showed up on that half court possession. Get Adam Silver off my damn screen. Coick into the front court. Has the ball batted into the back court. Bridge is allowed to retrieve. 12 to shoot. Towns will have it on the left wing. Jaylen Brown on him. A step inside the ark. Puts it on the deck. Hand off to Kick. He’ll turn the corner into the corner for OG. Three. Good. Tyler Kig with a dime and Anobi with a big time shot. Should have been a foul. Simons top of the key. He’ll try to answer with a three. No good. Long rebound off the hand of Anobi. Boston will recollect. Brown will try from the corner. Long. No good. Rebound by Bridges. Up ahead to Towns. Knicks have numbers. Clarkson three. Good. Jordan Clarkson transition three. Derek White to drive on Towns. No good look. He’ll give it up and get it right back. He dropped it. He dropped it. Turnover. He dropped it like Malik Beasley in the playoffs. Knicks ball going that way. Let’s go, man. We’re tied at 30. Let’s take off on them. 1,400 people watching. Can I get an LGK in the chat? Can I get an LGK in the chat? We’re also 10 likes away from 500. Hit that like button. Kick to bring it up. He’ll be guarded by Pritchard and he hands it off to Bridges and they’ll feed Towns. He’s at that left elbow. He’ll throw a back door pass to Anobi. He’ll back down on Bucher. Little post fade for Anobi. No good. Thought they could have caught a travel on that one. Pritchard. He’ll handle up top. Handing off to White. Right back to him. And then right back to him. White will handle. Back to Pritchard. He’ll fire for three. No good. Out of bounds. Nick’s ball going the other way. Let’s go. Let’s go. Just crossed over 500 likes. Appreciate everybody for being here. If you could hit that like button. We got 1,500 people watching. Kowick to drive to kick. Bridges three. Good. Tyler Kick immediately into the game. Andrew Connell. Two drives, two kicks, two threes for the New York Knicks. Yeah, absolutely. He kind of brings that true old school point guard feel and he’s truly a pass first point guard, which you do not see a lot of in the league today. So, uh, him getting in and, you know, the Celtics, I’m sure they watched that last game, they saw Kick be able to get to the rim and score. They’re more concerned about him as a scorer opens things up for shooters. And, uh, I think that was a spray three, I believe, as Mike Brown would say, out to Male Bridges who knocks it down. Similar look where OG hit that shot from the corner as well. Um, well, this team has too many good shooters to shoot poorly from three. And just like that, um, you’re seeing Anobi and Bridges find the range. They’re a combined two of five from three. If those guys can combine to shoot 40% from three on good volume, the Knicks are going to win a lot of games. Absolutely. It’s going to open up the floor for guys like Brunson and Cat as well. And uh, we’ve seen at least probably they’ve respected them a little bit to start the game. Obviously, a little bit of a slow start, but Brunson and Towns right now shouldering the load for the Knicks. Let’s ride. Let’s ride, man. 3330. Knicks came out ready to play in that second quarter. Shots fall. Jordan Clarkson with a transition pullup three. That was nice to see. It was a classic Jordan Clarkson play. Was like, “Oh, why are you shooting that?” No, no, no. Yes. Let’s go. Yes. Yeah. I feel I have a feeling we’re going to be in for a lot of those this season. And then our guy Randy has staying true to his word as we got one three for three. We got another three for three. Randy. Randy. Randy. The last three for three for all those threes right there for the Knicks. Shout out to you, Randy. Give me some Randy’s in the chat. Showing love to the channel. That’s what’s up, bro. That’s what’s up, man. I appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We’re also now 35 bucks away from our next beer shotgun on the show. 35 bucks away via super chats or Venmo from our next uh beer shotgun. Every time we reach 50 as a team, we’ll run it up. Uh have you heard from the Celtics channel on what they’re at? Cuz I have not. I assume that with Johnson you in the building and what up says this looks good. good bench unit giving us good production. I’m curious, Johnson, you what is the 58 and 19 in your jersey and your username mean? Is 58 for uh Antonio Pierce and 19 for Kenny Goliday? Is that what that is? I’m curious. Johnson, you that would be something. Let’s go. Buddy Bear in the building. Mike says Marsh, you got 100K in you by the finals. We’re on our way, man. We’re on our way. We’re on the way to uh 81,000 today. I think we can get there today. But yeah, the goal is by the end of the season. We’re at 100,000 subscribers. That’s the goal, man. Marsh fan says, “Oh, y’all are battling.” We are. We’re battling Boston Celtics today. We’re whooping up on him right now, but I want to bury him. Let’s go. All right, 3330. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel. 1,500 people watching. Hit that sub button. Help us get to 81K. Derek White up tight top for Boston. He’ll swing it to Pritchard. He’ll fire off the catch for three. No good. Rebound by Towns. Here comes Tyler Kick. He’ll feed Bridges. Bridges to drive. reversal across the court and he’ll throw it away as he tried to get it to Anobi but he threw it out of bounds. Bad pass. Bad pass for Bridges. A little car I thought moving a little bit too quick. Shout out to Nelly Amy GK. Appreciate everybody in here. Simons on the right wing. Boston will move it around. Kada top of the key handing off to White. White to drive. Clarkson trailing. He’ll pull up for the midi. No good. Rebound by Towns. And then Towns throws it out of bounds. Two times Carl Anthony Towns and Male Bridge just throw the ball out of bounds. Towns was throwing it forward with the idea that Kick would continue to run. Kick stopped and just wanted the ball. That’s kind of the new offense they want to run. Push off of misses. Not on the same page. Hower into the game and he quickly knocks down a three. I believe he’s two of two from distance. Hower one of the best shooters in this league. Lead back tied at 33. Clarkson the handle at the top of the key for Boston. They’ll now feature Anobi and get it to Towns. Towns on the left wing. A step inside the ark. Almost like a playmaker role. He’ll throw it inside. Ball batted. gets it right back. Drives on Kada. Right hand hook shot almost in, but it popped out. Boston will run. Towns fell down, so Boston has numbers. Luckily, Kola got in the passing lane and knocked it out of bounds. Kick uh making an impact on the defensive end as well. Not an area considered a strength of his game, but uh on that turnover, he’s a point guard. He’s always going to be going back to get the ball. He’s not looking to run out in transition. So, he obviously didn’t play a lot last year. Probably doesn’t have a lot of game minutes with any of these guys. So, that’s something hopefully as he gets more regular minutes, they can iron out. Hower to throw it in. He’ll get it to Simons up top. Yabacelli checks in for Towns. So, a small lineup with Yaboo at the five. Simons drive kick. Three is good for Derek White. The drive made the defense collapse and it left Derek wide open. You can’t play good perimeter defense if you can’t keep people out of the paint. Paint touches equals threes in this modern NBA. 10 on the shot clock. An Obi driving on Hower. Power dribble pickup jumper. No good. But he’s fouled. Anobi to the line for a pair. He’s looking for his shot. Johnson. That was crazy. Anobi to the line for a pair. Five points for Anobi to start. It’s Hower, Kada, White, Pritchard, and Simons for Boston as Anobi knocks in the first free throw. McBride stands at the scorers table. I assume he’s coming in for Anobi as he did not enter the game after the first free throw. Johnson says, “Yabelli robbed us.” It’s early. It’s early for Yabu. Both free throws are up and in for OG. It’s a one-point game. White using the screen. Pull up three. No good. Rebound by Yabu. He’ll get it to Clark. Uh Kick, excuse me. He’ll bring it up the left side into a pick and roll. Pocket pass to Yaboo. Yaboo kick into the corner for Clarkson for three. No good. Thought there was a foul. No call. Boston’s off and running. White into the lane. Blocked by Bridges. Heard that one before. Boston. And then there’s going to be a foul 90 ft from the rim on Derek White. You heard that one before. Blocked by Bridges. I mean, that should have been an offensive foul on Derek White. Tyler Co just gets steamrolled. Bridges up top swinging it to Coit. Kick to drive. Has a step. Lefty scoop up and in. The Big East player of the year making plays at MSG. Derek White on the right side gets the screen. Throws it into the corner to Hower. He’ll give it right back to Derek White. He’ll work against Clarkson. Back up top to Hower. Back to White on the perimeter. White guarded by Clarkson. They double him. Pass to Hower. Batted away. Saved out of bounds. It goes off the ref. out of bounds. Ball will stick with Boston. They’ll have 2.4 seconds to shoot on the shot clock. How about Tyler Kick, man, all over the floor, making the activity levels high on both ends. Look at that. Diving into the crowd, potentially giving a front row seat a concussion. We’ll see. White throws it into Kada. He’ll drive. Doesn’t get it off. They let the play go. Rebound grabbed by McBride. McBride call it Clarkson. Yelli Bridges are the five for New York. McBride hands off to Clarkson. Clarkson drive. Reverse layup blocked. Rebound by Yabu, but a foul on Boston. That drive by Kick. He gets past the hip of Neus Kada and he laid it up and in. It’ll be Nick’s ball on the side as they throw it in with 14 to shoot on the clock. some substitutions. Joe Cool says, “Get them, guys. Good luck. Show them.” Thank you, my man. Thank you for the super chat, bro. Kick will throw it in. He’ll get it to McBride up top who hands it right back to Kolick. He’ll get a screen from Yabiselli. He’ll pull up for three. Kick, no good. Rebound tapped out by Yabu. Cleaned up and coralled by Clarkson. Plenty of time. Clarkson drive. Spin move into the lane. Lost it, but he was fouled. He was fouled. Whoa. Reckless all over the place for Jordan Clarkson. Think he’s probably still trying to figure out how to play this new role. obviously uh on the Jazz the last few seasons. Not too many superstars or primary ball handlers that he needed to play alongside. So I think he might take a few games to get comfortable. Kwick throws it to Yabaselli for three. It’s good. Gershon Yabaselli knocks it in from deep. His first three is an ick. Anthony Simons in the front court as Kohix thrown to the ground by Kada. Offensive foul. Next ball going the other way. Johnson says Yaboo needs to be cut right before he knocked it in from three. Yabaoo. Yaboo. Don’t let Yaboo get hot now. He’s a flamethrower. He dunks on your girlfriend’s favorite player. Brunson into the game. Brunson bridges McBride, Yabu, and Clarkson. Hower, Gada, Brown, Pritchard, and Gonzalez for Boston. Brunson, lot of contact from Hugo. Gets the Yabiselli screen. Has him in between. Throws it out. Deuce for three. No good. Yaboo battling. Pokes it out. Grabbed by Clarkson. Bridges swings to Brunson. Brunson to drive. Spin move. Dish McBride. No good. Out of bounds off Boston. Yabaselli keeping the drive alive. Drive alive. Keeping the possession alive. I need some uh justice for my guy Johnson. You he said in the chat he meant his weight. He needs to get cut physically not from the team. Sure. Sure. Sure. Brunson inbound to Bridges. Lays it up and in. A beautiful out of bounds play. An area the Knicks were horrible out last year. Knicks up by six. Pass is stolen by Bridges. It’s McBride. He’ll drive. Lays it up and he smoked the transition lay, but they called a foul. Thank God. McBride he had he had he had something on his mind there. Could have given it up. He said, “I’m going. It’s rack attack.” Look at the activity. out. The Knicks defense has picked up. I think Boston has scored six points this quarter. Yeah, I’m sure hopefully Mike Brown challenged them at the intermission between the two quarters and said, “Listen, we need to pick it up. These guys are not good. We need to jump them.” And uh we’ve seen the Knicks go on a little bit of a run as Deuce knocks down the first free throw. 30 points at the end of the first quarter for Boston. as McBride knocks in both free throws. Knicks up by eight. CPJ in the building. What up gang? What up CPJ? Happy Friday to you my brother. Jaywin Brown on the right wing guarded by Bridges. They’ll swing it up top to Tilman. Tilman puts it on the deck. Dribble hand off to Hower. Hower top of the key for three. Short rebound by Brunson. Knicks have numbers. Brunson. Clarkson. Three. Good. Jordan Clarkson. Two threes on the night. The Knicks are running and gunning and they’re up 11. Time out. Joe Mazulu. Let’s go. Let’s go. It took more than 10 rebounds for Carl Anthony Towns and plus 21 points for Derek White. Shout out to DraftKings. We appreciate them for sponsoring the show. Yeah. Will Fredo Prestoo, my man. Will Fredo Kick is the next Nash. That’d be sick. That would be pretty sweet. If the Knicks could have a a Steve Nash coming off the bench, I’ll take it. Kenneth Brown, $2 super chat. Appreciate you. Says, “Get them, guys. Good luck. Show them.” Appreciate you KB. Thank you for supporting the show, bro. And then we did have a couple three-pointers and our guy Randy G came in filling his promise with three for three. And this is I believe you. This is another one. Three for three again. I did change that. The Jr. Smith Sully was the best back in the day. Yeah, that uh little half court and then the kind of little bit of the rock and roll and then the double arm swing. Uh that was pretty sweet. Those were that Nick Tape era, man. That was that was fun. I don’t know if they were ever really championship contenders, but it was the most that at least I knew and I think you knew in your lifetime. So, it was it felt like it. The the chat loves uh the uh the sped up marsh on the on the Yeah, dude. I mean that it’s incredible how quiet how uh how fast I can read. Yeah. No, I I actually won an award fastest reader and talker of all time. Mhm. D you are are you retaining all that? It’s like photographic as well. Yep. And uh while they come back, want to hit a guy Papa Swanky. Papa Swanky, how about those Knicks? 256 run. Don’t let up. Let’s go Knicks. Papa Swanky, you the man, bro. 15 bucks away from our next beer shotgun. I’m thirsty. Knicks up 11. Simons handling for Boston. Five on the shot clock. He’ll find Jaylen Brown trying to post up on Brunson. F. He’ll have to pass out of the shot to Simons for three. No good. What a box out by McBride. Rebound by Yaboo. Here comes Brunson. They’ll have it on the right wing. That’s his spot. Creating separation, giving it to Yaboo. They’ll play catch. Here comes the pick and roll for Brunson. In and out dribble. Froze him. Euro. Contact. Count it. And one. Jayen Brunson. What a move. The in-n-out froze him. Then he watch out Simons. Smacked him in the face. Lefty scoop. Count it. And the foul. That’s big time [ย __ย ] man. Don’t forget who the guy is. It’s Jaylen Brunson. Free throw to put him up 14. Good. Is that the start of the Jaylen Brunson season right there? Pritchard on the right wing. Bridges switching. Brown faced up on Brunson. He’ll look to attack. Walking him down into the mid-range. Back to the basket. Spins to the baseline. Fall away. Foul away from the cup. Foul away from the cup. My guy OG coming in with a $20 super chat. I got the next beer shotgun as that means there’s only three beers left after this. I think they called a defensive three seconds on the Knicks. All right, they’re uh they’re the real ones are showing out. OG, we appreciate you. We’ll get that up on the screen once it comes through. But uh we want to send Marsh home. Uh we don’t want him to be thirsty. So he’s uh he’s definitely getting hydrated, but still a lot to go. Three happy dads left every $50 total in super chat as we just crossed over a hundred. He’ll drink one more as pitcher drives, gets fouled, misses the shot. He’ll head to the wall. Let’s go. OG. OG. OG. OG. OG. OG. OG. He says, “Solute gentlemen. Get the boot out. Three more beers to go. Every time we reach 50 as a team, I’m doing a shotgun.” Andrew Connell said, “Once we clear all the happy dads from Marsh Isle, I’ll do a beer. We’ll do a beer boot on today’s show.” Shout out to the real ones. We appreciate y’all, man. If you haven’t yet, subscribe to the channel. We got 1,700 people watching and we’re trying to get to 81,000 subs tonight. Can we get 24 people right now to hit that sub button? Can we get to 80,700 right now? Of the 1,700 people watching, I’m pretty sure that there’s 24 people watching that are not subscribed. If you are subscribed, give me an LGK in the chat. What up, Robertson? Robertson 355. Male Bridges to bring it up. Gets a screen from Towns. He’ll pop. He’ll pump fake. He’ll relocate. Three ball. No good. Long rebound grabbed by Josh Hart. Possession alive. It’s OG Hart. Towns, Bridges, and and Brunson, the old starting five. Towns inside. Foul. Bully ball. He said, “Hower. You can’t stop me.” I love that, Hy. You get the little You get a fly on you in the house. Smack the fly off you. I honestly wish Towns played like that more. And I wish like he played like that on both ends cuz he’s got the size. He’s got the ability to do it. It just seems like he doesn’t have that. He doesn’t play with that kind of physicality often. You see it in sometimes in glimpses, but um just wish he did that a little more. I think sometimes he falls in love with the with the three on the perimeter and um like he is a phenomenal shooter, but I I think he underutilizes the inside part of his game. Maybe forgets he’s 7 foot 260 and can just punish people sometimes. Yeah, especially against the Celtics without really a true rim protector. Um have to establish that presence. He knocks in both free throws there. I think up to 11 points on the night. Knicks up 13. 5239. Jaylen Brown handing off to Hower. Hower has hit a couple of threes tonight. Nick’s got to extend the defense. Pritchard will swing back to him. Hower left wing three. That’s deep and it’s good. The only way you’re going to lose this game is if you let Boston go crazy from three. Brunson to bring it up. Gets a screen from Towns. They’re going to look to feature Towns as he’s got the smaller Payton Pritchard on him. He’ll have it at the left block. Drop step, bank shot, lot of contact, no foul. I don’t know how that’s not a foul. Boston will push Pritchard to a driving Brown into the block to Tilman. Brunson bit on the fake and Tilman banked it in from point blank range. Brunson operating on the left wing, driving on Jaylen Brown. has a step, stops on a dime. Footwork, right hand finish, no good, but he’s fouled. The display of moves. The hand can go so far into the bag of Jaylen Brunson. He could pull out any move you want. The stop, redirect, pump, fake, reverse, spin, step through. Footwork is incredible. I mean, he’s got the post game of someone a foot taller than him. And uh he shows that if you put a guy that is not extremely like he doesn’t have a huge height advantage, he’ll go to work down there. He’s he’s got some size to him. Got to be disciplined when guarding him, too. His first free throw is up and in with 210 left in the first half here on MSG on Friday night. see if uh Knicks can close out the half. Well, don’t want to give the Celtics any momentum going into halftime as they now have a 10-point lead. Want to keep this extend if possible. Don’t let them cut into it. Pritchard handing it off to Hower for three. That one’s no good. Fighting for the board is Hart. He’ll steal it. Hard to go to his patented move. Layup up. Missed it. Got his own board. Kicks it out. Brunson to drive off the right wing. Shoveled away in an Obi three ball. No good. Rebound by Towns. Towns underneath is fouled. Jaylen Brown whacked him. Ah. Towns kind of got away with a push off on that rebound. Played physical though. Sometimes you get the benefit of the doubt. I mean, he definitely pushed off Brown. Yeah, definitely looks like they missed one. Not egregious, but uh Brown could have probably sold it a little more as that’s the second foul on Jaylen Brown tonight. Towns made the first free throw. 5544. What is Jason Tatum wearing? And why is he on the court? Go sit down, dude. Why is Jason Tatum allowed to talk to the ref? Go sit down, Tatum. Brown off the screen into the corner. He’ll give it to Simon. Simons to Pritchard. Pritchard step back over Bridges for three. No good. Rebound by Hart. 90 ticks to go. Brunson up ahead to Bridges. Alu play up. The Knicks are running up 14. 25 to eight run. Give me some LGKs. Brown left side lost his dribble. Stolen by Towns he’ll get it to br to Hart. Hart stops top of the key finds a cutting. Towns lays it up and one. Caro Anthony Towns. When you can get out and run AC, you get easy buckets. And you’ve seen this offense explode in quarter number two. Absolutely. That’s a thing that was supposed to be a concerted effort by Mike Brown and we’ve seen them stay true to that here. Pushing the pace, not letting the Boston Celtics set their defense, taking advantage of some of the mismatches that you can get when they don’t have time to find and locate their man. And here it gets Towns an easy bucket and the foul as he connects on another three-point play. Up 17, 60 seconds left. Let’s go to stop. Let’s close out this half. Simons defended by Hart. He’ll swing it up top to Tilman. Tilman swinging to Hower. Right wing. Seven on the shot clock. Hower to Tilman. He’ll throw it back. Door. Stolen by Anobi. Right in the chest. It looks like a safety coming down making a play. McBride and Shaman are standing at the scorers table as Brunson will handle with 35 ticks left. Brunson in and out. One-on-one. Step back. Missed it. Towns battling. Rebound by heart out to OG. Three. Good. Two. Two. Two. The extra effort. The offensive rebounds turn it into three. That’s what I’m talking about. 14 second chance points for the Knicks. Two for Boston. Shot clock turned off. Josh Hart will use the Knicks last foul of the half. They had one to give. A strong second quarter. And look, I’m the biggest Josh Hart fan there is. But when he’s allowed to come off the bench and go balls to the wall for 24 28 minutes, you get more of those hustle plays that every Nick fan fell in love with. For Josh Hart doing what he did his first season here. Having a player of his caliber on the bench is a luxury uh for the Knicks. He’s a guy who would start on probably almost every other team in the league. As Jaylen Brown misses the easy layup at the half. Here we go. Knicks up 6444. I think you got to grade that quarter an A+ for the Knicks. Absolutely. Uh we were ready to give them an F after that first one. A lot of D’s came in and they must have heard us cuz they turned it around. They did probably pretty much everything they didn’t do in the first quarter. In the second quarter and we’re taking a 20-point lead in the halftime. I think this is what we expected coming into the game tonight. You outscore Boston 42-4 in that second quarter. It’s uh is it is it May? Are we playing uh are we playing the uh Eastern Conference semi-finals again? They must have thought it was the fourth quarter of a playoff game or something the way they’re playing right now. So yeah, seeing some A+es rolling in. Shout out to everyone grading the Knicks down in the comments section. Let us know. Let us know what you think. We’ll once you everyone weighs in, we’ll run through some of the stats, see who’s doing what, and uh kind of uh assess where we’re at. Let’s go, man. Shout out to everybody in the building. Over 1,700 people watching. Let’s roll through some stats. Let’s paint this picture of what that first half ended up looking like. Absolutely. We’ll get to that and let the people know. Think it makes sense to start here. We look at the teams. Knicks out rebounding the Celtics by nine. And I think that’s important to look at that. Look at that assist to turnover ratio. Boston going about one for one with 10 assists, nine turnovers. The Knicks 16-3 almost a five I think over five assist to turnover ratio that that’s excellent. That’s good decision-making. I think that’s also a product of pushing the pace and getting a lot of easy decisions. Whoever is open is kind of declaring themselves. They don’t have to thread the needle on passes. Just get the ball up, get it out. Doesn’t matter who. Especially when you’re playing five out style with Towns the center. He can run the floor a little bit. So, um just throw it up and uh try and get an easy shot. And uh after that slow start, they’ve kind of evened out their shooting a little. Both teams at exactly 40% from the field, but the Knicks have 10 more attempts. So getting those shots up, getting uh getting a lot of offensive rebounds as well, I believe. And um just setting up more looks. The more shots you get, the more shots you’re going to make. Which is the qual the stat qualifier that just shows like the field goals made and attempted and no percentages. Which one is that? Do you know? You mean for us? Yeah. For the social graphics. I don’t know how else to explain it if I’m not saying it like that. The stat qualifier that just shows the field goals attempted and made without the percentage. Yeah. Just go through the stats. Nick Devito in the building. What up, Devito? How are you, brother? How are you, Nick Devito? Knicks look good, man. The Knicks look good. Start with Boston. Jaylen Brown, quiet uh eight points so far. You definitely expect a little more out of him, especially with Tatum out. Pritchard only at three. not uh not making a big impact. Neither is White only at five, two of seven from the field. And uh we’ll head down to the Knicks and Brunson started to pick it up a little bit in that second quarter after a a slow start. Still hasn’t found the range from behind the arc yet. 0 of two, but three of eight. Gotten to the line a few times. No turnovers, so he’s not forcing it or making any bad decisions. And he’s got 11. Deuce getting the start tonight. Still only two points, but hasn’t found his shot as well. 05 and 04 behind the arc. Um, make it still I think the thing about Duce that’s great about him is he still makes positive plays even if his shots not falling. He’s such a great defender. We’ve seen him grab three rebounds, three assists as well and no turnovers. So, um, certainly making an impact. And Clarkson, I think we saw after uh not not too much of an impact in game one. He uh had two big threes, had some good minutes in that second quarter, beginning of that second quarter. Tyler Kohlick, only two points, but I think like you said, active on both ends, offensively and defensively. Uh three assists for him, no turnovers as well. S becoming a theme as we go through these stats for a lot of these Nick players. Uh one or two from the field and has not hit a three yet. We saw Shamut hit a three. Um, like we said, if his shot can fall, he’s going to be a dangerous guy for the Knicks off the bench. OG, another strong game on his way to another 20 piece. He’s at 10 at the half, two rebounds, three of six on the field, and 50% from behind the arc as well. Bridges at nine points. Uh, no assist for him. He did turn the ball over once, but grabbed three boards, four or six on the field, and has a three as well. And uh Towns having a big game, 16. He’s uh he’s been responsible for two of the Knicks three turnovers. So I think that’s you got to take the good with the bad with Towns sometimes. Uh four of 10 from the field and three of five from behind the arc, six rebounds. So on his way to a double double. I forget which one of our Knicks now real ones asked about the town’s double double heading into the game, but he really uh kind of carried that Knicks offense in the first quarter and kept him in it when a lot of guys were still trying to find their shot. So, um great minutes from Towns there in the first and uh on his way to another strong performance. Yeah, 40% from the field. I mean, I don’t love that he’s one of five from two, but three of five from three, I’ll take it. And Josh Hart, we saw him get his first minutes of the season, obviously making his debut tonight. Um, we know that his impact goes beyond the box score, only two points. He’s got two assists, though, six rebounds. And I think a lot of those came on the offensive end as well, extending possessions, getting open looks from behind the arc for um some of his teammates. So, great job by him. And then uh we saw Yabu with some good minutes as well. Uh obviously uh not a Johnson U favorite, but he had three points, an assist, four boards. He was another guy who I think hit that offensive glass and extended the possession as well. And uh if he can hit a three with what he can do, that’s a valuable skill set. Grabbing some rebounds, uh playing some strong defense in the paint, and uh spacing the floor as well, uh he could really be a swing player for the Knicks. Oh, baby. Lord Buddy Bear and Nick Devito in the building. Shout out to you guys. I got a beer shotgun coming up. Give me some LBBs in the chat. Give me some LBBs in the chat. Let’s go. We’ll get that up once it comes in. But we appreciate all you guys support. Um, and as you guys know, when Nick Devito’s in the building, new sends a super chat, give me some eyeball emojis down below. Eyeball emojis down below for my guy Nick Devitov. It isn’t over yet, but it’s Friday. I got a cold beer and the Knicks are up 20 on the hated Celtics. I worked hard all week. I am loving this. Let’s get this party going. Go New York. Go New York. Go New York. Go New York. Go.” Shout out to Lord Buddy Bear. We appreciate you, brother. Let’s go, man. I was going to say that if someone threw a 50 at halftime, I would I would do my boot as a deal that I was going to make, but since Lord Buddy Bear already bought the hammer down, if someone alley oops him with another 50, I’ll do my boot, which means it would be early from our initial goal. But if the real ones show out, um, got to get it done. And shout out to our guy Nick David off as well. Nick, I’m sorry. I’m new here. Nick, he’s new. He’ll know Nick Devitov has been watching this show from the very first season we started. He goes to almost every game. I’d be sure he I’m sure he’s at the game tonight. Are you at the game, Nick Devito? He’s usually courtside. He’s an absolute legend. And uh he brings he brings the juice, man. We got to 150. I got another beer shotgun. Let’s go. All right. Shout out to Nick. Appreciate all the support. Appreciate everyone’s support. Every super chat, every like, every subscription, every comment means something to us. Uh we wouldn’t both be able to sit here and do what we do and uh hang out with you guys, all the real ones, if it wasn’t for all your support. So, we appreciate you guys. David off, Bronx Boy. He said, “David off, Bronx Boy.” Well, he’s going to get another chance, Bronx boy, to get it right. Can I get everybody to give me some eyeball emojis below? Can I get everybody to give me some eyeball emojis? I told you, AC, you’ll quickly learn. All right. About Mr. Nick Devito. He is uh he’s one he’s he’s one of a kind, man. He really is. I just need everyone to give me some eyeball emojis. Oh, man. Unreal because we got a three point goal. Nick Dev $100 super chat from Nick David. A double bang. Unreal. A double bang. Nick freaking Devito, man. Shout out to you. 101. Um, uh, he’s 101. I guess I’m sorry. I know. I now know. I won’t ever mess it up again or question it. Um, bang, bang, dang. Nick Devid, a legend, bro. How you been, man? How you been? I’ll say this, when we see Nick Devitov in the chat, that’s when I know Nick’s basketball is back. From Lord Buddy Bear to Nick Devitov, the Knicks fans are ready to go. Long way to go. This one’s not over, but you could step on their throats here in the third quarter. Absolutely. I think uh that’s something that we didn’t see last game. They had a lead coming out of halftime and they did not start strong. Cleveland bounced back in the game and the Knicks were forced to have a strong fourth quarter to separate. I I’d like them to for whatever they do, if they need to uh they need to if they can change the scoreboard at MSG and just let them know, tell them it’s a fourth quarter because they need to start playing in the third quarter like they do in the fourth. If they just come out with that kind of energy, they can uh they can end this one pretty quick. All right. I I am a man of my word. If you want to go fill up that boot, I can hold it down. Oh man, if someone matches Nick Devito’s $100 super chat, I I’ll join Andrew Connell on the boot. I’ll join Andrew Connell on the boot. I I think there might be some hidden happy dads in the other fridge. So you can check that out. Um up to you if you want to go with the brew or you want I think there might be some in there. They’re probably ice cold. So uh if there are, you want to just grab a couple and bring them in here. Cool. MC Devitov says I am great. You’re more than good. You’re great. James says Connell, please fix my XP. Andrew Connell actually as the producer of the show, he has a lot of power. He does not have the power to hand out XP though. That is a YouTube thing. That’s a YouTube thing. Can I Can I be honest with you guys and give y’all a hot take? Are y’all ready for a hot take? I don’t know if y’all are. I I have a hot take and and and and it’s it’s hot and I don’t know how hot it is. Maybe I’m just thinking it’s hot and maybe other people are in agreement with me, but but I got I got one. I got five on it. I like hot cakes. I I know Bronx boy. We know. Are you a McDonald’s breakfast guy? What’s What’s the Mickey De’s breakfast order, Bronx boy? Let’s go, man. My hot take is I think OG Anobi is going to be an all-star this year. Health permitting. I think OG Anobi is going to be an all-star this year. That’s that’s my take. I don’t know if it’s hot. I don’t even know if it’s like that hot, but that’s that that’s that’s what I think’s going to happen. I think OGN Obi is going to be an all-star this year. I think the Knicks will be at the top of the Eastern Conference. And usually when you do that, uh, you get multiple allstars. And I can see the Knicks having three. Damn. So Andrew Connell is going to have to have to do the boot by himself. I’m down with that. I’m down with that. Making him earn his stripes. Making him earn his stripes a little bit. All right. Just in case. I don’t know. No, I I think they want to just see you drink alone. I They want to see you drink alone. He’s got a beer. Shout out to AC. Give me some AC’s in the chat. Producer Andrew Connell is crushing it here. Game number two would not be able to do what we do if it wasn’t for him. We appreciate it. Let’s go. CPJ said he thought about it, but he wanted to make you earn your stripes and do your boot by yourself. So, that’s where we’re at. I’m sure we’ll do a boot sooner or later together. I don’t know why he’s standing on a step stool, but he is. Shout out to AC. Give me some AC’s in the chat as half number two is underway. Brunson will have it up top. Guarded by Hower. He’ll get it to Towns and then get it right back. Brunson turns the corner. Step back. He’s doubled. He missed an open and Obi. He didn’t get it to him. Shot clock violation. Muted Growl says, “Is that kid a monster?” CPJ, I’m a I’m a legit sixfoot, bro. I’m a legit sixfoot. I don’t know. You didn’t look it there. I don’t I don’t know. I don’t know. We’ll have to We’ll have to What are you What are you 6’2? Uh, no. I am 6’5. We had the discussion with the chat the other night. So, um, I looked about 5 in. Bronx, boy, you know what five inches looks like. How How different was that? I don’t think he knows. I think he knows about three looks like. Yeah. No, that’s that’s true. That’s true. Uh, AC can dunk on you, CPJ. If AC can dunk on me, I’m dunking on you. And I’m routing you up in flag football. I’m snatching that flag. Brocks boy says, “I know what half that looks like.” Oh lord. Here we go. Knicks up 20. I love saying that. Boston trails by 20. Suck it, Smitty. Jayen Brown drive kick. Hower for three. Good. He’s one of the best shooters in the league, man. He really is. He really is. Brunson to bring it up the right side. He’ll dribble into the corner. Guarded by Pritchard. Gets a screen from Towns. Gets into the lane. Kicks it out and an OB3. Missed it. Rebound by Boston. Here comes Pritchard. He’ll have it on the left side. Gets a screen from Kada. Bridges gets stuck. Drives to the right elbow. Pass underneath to Kada. Towns there on the help. Hook shot up and good. Neas Kada with a big bucket. Towns top of the key. Hand off to Anobi. OG in the corner to Bridges. Bridges lost it. Got it back. Knocked to the ground. Crosscourt pass to Deuce. He’ll blow by White. Kick out. An Obi three. Missed it. Rebound. Saved from out of bounds by Boston. Here comes Derek White up the left side. Knicks haven’t scored this quarter yet. Brown will have it. He’ll fire for three. No good. Rebound by Brunson. Nicks will bring it up. Playing with a little pace. Brunson guarded by Kada. He’s in that right wing above the three-point line. That’s his office. He’ll bring it back midcourt. Now he wants a screen from Anobi to give it into the corner to Deuce. No good. Knicks with three early misses from downtown in the third. They’ve been a team that started slow in the third for a while. They do it again now. The 20-point lead is down to 15. Hower deep three to make it 12. Good. And just like that, the Knicks allow an 80 run to start the third quarter. And a 20point lead has evaporated to 12. Third quarter, Knicks. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I’m not I’m not going to sit here and act like we like we know anything that you guys all don’t know watching this team every single game, but they always struggle out of the gate in the third quarter. And through two games, Mike Brown has yet to correct those issues if carried over from the Tom Tibido regime. So, I I don’t like I’m running out of ideas for them to suggest what to do. Whatever it is they do during halftime, do the opposite. I don’t understand why they can’t come out with a sense of urgency at halftime. They like to make things difficult on themselves. They like to give away their leads and uh they like to play close games in the fourth quarter. Once in a while, I’d like them to just make it a laugher. And I understand the Celtics are a good team, but wasn’t like they were doing anything crazy. The Knicks are just giving them open look after open look. And they’re they’re good enough shooters where they’re going to knock those down. One day the third quarter Knicks is going to mean something positive, but right now it it just like skip to the fourth. Just uh I don’t know. And uh I mean Sam Hower is the leading scoreer for Boston. Five to seven. How about someone goes and guards him from three? Yeah, maybe maybe don’t leave him wide open. That’s all he’s done is hit threes. Nothing else. did want to show some love to our guy Fernando as well. $5 super chat came in. He says, “I know it’s only the second game, but it feels like something special is happening with this team, ball movement, and using the whole team.” Yeah, I do agree with that. It seems like uh they’re definitely leveraging the depth they have. We’ve seen guys on the bench make impacts either in both games or one or the other. Um, and yeah, I think just not letting the ball get stuck and keeping the ball moving as well as the players moving as well, creating more opportunities. Um, you know, I think these are these first two games are great measuring sticks for the Knicks playing two good teams. Obviously, Boston without Tatum and but Cleveland’s a great team and the Knicks put a good performance out on Wednesday. So hopefully they can wake up here in the third, not give away the whole lead and uh come home with another one. Still a lot of time left though. My man Tutoto coming in with a super chat. Be like Tutoto and subscribe to the channel. We crossed 80,700 subs. We’re on the way to 81,000. We’re 293 away with 1,500 people watching. I’m sure there’s 300 people that are not subscribed. If you could please hit that sub button and help us get to 81,000 subs tonight. That’s the goal. We would really appreciate it. Yeah, no reason to not be subscribed. If you’re a Knicks fan, we do videos every single day. Watch parties for almost every single game. And uh yeah, we have all these cool people hanging out in the chat. All the real ones, all the ones that are here game in and game out. And um yeah, we uh you want to join them, you want to hang out with us for Nick games, subscribe. Shout out to Tutto. He said, “Solut my sports podcast and media. Greetings from our entire team currently in Sydney, Australia. And please slap all stinky boys.” My man Tutoto, a a legend. A legend. Thank you, brother. We love you. Bridges pass into the corner. Deuce for three is good. Let’s go. Let’s go, baby. Knicks up 6752. Jaylen Brown trying to answer. Good defense by Anobi. Then the ball stolen by McBride, but it goes out of bounds. There we go. Knicks with a nice response out of that timeout. Deuce with a little up fake. White goes flying and he knocks down the open corner three. Come on. Here we go. White to throw it into Brown. Brown gets the K to screen. Has some space. Towns and drop. Brown could just shoot from 16. He does. Misses. Rebound by Brunson. She’ll live with Jaylen Brown. Mid-range jumpers. Brunson gets a screen from Towns. Pull up three. Good. Jaylen Brunson from way downtown. Nicks back up 18. Hower on the right wing gives it to Kada who hands off to Pritchard. He’ll turn the corner gets to the right block working against McBride. Five left on the shot clock. Pritchard. Drive. Stop. Pop. Mid-range. Good. Good. McBride into the front court getting at Dan Obi who rips it to town. He’ll put it on the deck. Top of the key. Drop off to Brunson. Brunson at the foul line. Kick out. Bridges walks into a mid-range. Jay, left it short. Got his own miss. Redirect into the corner. Brunson for three. Backto back. The captain finding the range. Pritchard. He’ll try to answer. Gets into the lane. kicks it out to Hower. Hower picks his dribble up. 10 left on the shot clock. Pritchard swinging to Brown. Brown vers Anobi. Top of the key trying to work all defense. Anobi in his grill. Fall away jumper. Good for Brown. It’s a big time bucket. It’s a big time bucket. How about Jaylen Brunson finding the range backto back triples. One of the best shooters in the league. It’s only a matter of time. Bridges into the lane. has the ball knocked out of bounds from behind. It’ll be Nick’s ball underneath on these ones. I’d say probably just try to match the color. I don’t know if that’s possible. Brunson to throw it in for the baseline. He’ll get it to Deuce in the corner. He’ll swing it to Towns on the left wing. Towns back to McBride. They’ll run a twoman game. McBride guarded by Tilman. Swinging to Bridges. Catch and spray. Bang. Bridges from lay downtown. Nick’s back up by 20. Brown gets to the foul line. Knicks defense collapses. They’ll give it out to Tilman and give it right back to Brown. Dribble back alive. Trying to drive on Towns. throws it into the corner to Simons who rips it to White for three. Air ball. Air ball. Who turned the fan on at MSG? Bridges shot looks a lot smoother this year. Yeah, he’s uh I think playing with a little more confidence too under Mike Brown. And uh I think I when he’s aggressive, man, he’s a different player. Towns drives and fouled. You just don’t really see the hitch in the male Bridges shot anymore. He he looks a lot more confident, but also the fundamentals and the form just looks smoother. Yeah, he’s I think maybe feeling more comfortable, not maybe feeling a little less pressure after he had success in the playoffs last year, especially against Boston. And um I think probably just trying to find his way and find his way to fit in with this team when he got here last year. And uh I think he’s really just like a a huge X-factor and swing player for this team. If he plays like the player that he can, it just lifts everyone else around around them. Towns knocks down his first free throw. Knicks up 21. Biggest lead of the night. Creed in the building says this is a completely different team, man. They look good. They look good. Um Boston’s not who Boston has been, but the Knicks outside of that second quarter or really outside of the first quarter, excuse me, in the first couple minutes of the third, they look really good. The chemistry is only going to grow, too. That’s what’s exciting. Miles McBride applying fullcourt pressure. Dribbled out of bounds. Simons was in jail. Turnover. Nick’s ball. That’s throw. That’s showing some pride in your defense. Miles McBride, a junkyard dog. Four dimes for him. I know he hasn’t shot the ball well, but I think the sign of a good player is finding a way to affect the game when the shots not falling. Deuce is doing that right now. He’ll get the hand off from Towns, turns the corner into the lane, kicks it out to Brunson. Plenty of time. Brunson one-on-one with Tailwind on the right wing. He might shoot from here. He’ll get to the foul line and pull up. Yep. Got it. 80 to 56. Brunson’s dialed. Brown trying to answer on Anobi. He can’t move on him. He’s got him in a strangle hold. Brown pass outside to Tilman. The Knicks are on a string right now defensively. Anobi steals it from Brown. It’s Bridges and Brunson on the break. Brunson up. Bridges misses the tap in. Oh, they sold the clip. That would have been on House of Highlights. Hower three in transition. No good. Rebound by the Knicks. Up 24. Brunson guarded by Hower. Uses the Town screen. Right wing three. Short. Bridges keeps it alive. Out to Deuce. Inside to Towns. Towns is smothered. Doubled. Lost it. Saved by Tilman. Out of bounds. Simons to bring it up. Brunson on him. Simons runs into Brunson. Brunson stole it, but Simons got it right back and laid it up and in. 80 to 58. Helter Skelter. McBride into the front court out to Towns. Towns facing up Tilman. He’s got one man, one mission on his mind. It’s to drive, but he lost it. Another turnover for Towns. That’s been what’s been biting him in the butt tonight. Brown from the left corner. Stepped out of bounds. He can’t use every feet of the court without running away from Anobi. Time out. Knicks up big. Maybe not a timeout, but a stoppage of play at least for a second. They’re wiping down the court. It looks like Brunson will throw it in. An Obi town’s Bridges Brunson McBride are still the five on the floor. Welcome back draft sponsor here on New York Nick out McBride and bring in Yabaelli but they didn’t get there in time. White Brown Tilman Simons and Gonzalez are the five on the floor for Boston. Brunson will throw it into McBride. Hart joins Yaboscelli now at the scorers table. McBride drive layup good. Miles McBride quickly into the lane rising and laying it up. Simon’s on the right wing. Shaman actually subbed in for the Knicks as Jaylen Brown’s leftwing three finds its way home. Shamut came in for OG. Bridges or Brunson on the right wing swinging to Bridges. Bridges defended by White. They’re trying to post up Towns. He’ll kick it crosscourt to Deuce. He’ll rise up. Missed it. A foul on Gonzalez as he and Towns battled for positioning underneath. Four turnovers for Towns. Thought he’s been all right, but just needs to be I feel like more aware of what’s going on. I The thing that drives me crazy about him is I feel like his IQ and his just like like his awareness and like you said and his just playing the game smarter. He’s got all the skill in the world and sometimes it things like seems like things that you like should be able to coach that he just doesn’t do. Shamut’s pass to Hart is knocked out of bounds off the Knicks it looks like and they’re going to call a foul on Josh Hart. Uh Celtics with an early punch at the beginning of this third quarter, but the Knicks punch back and they still maintain a 21-point lead as a third quarter winding down a little bit. Ball goes inside to Brown who tries to play bully ball on Shamid and he puts it home. All right, Knicks lead to 19. Shamut and Hart up top. Hart will throw it inside to Yaveelli. Kick has checked in for Brunson. Yabu hand off to Hart. Ball is dropped. Yavelli will get it back. Kick at the logo with five. Guarded by Brown. Can’t create space. Has it poked away. Gets it back. And the shot clock never reset. It’s going to be a shot clock violation. The Celtics defensive intensity heated up on that possession. Turn over for the Knicks. Knicks. Uh Celtics battling. Certainly not giving up. Uh definitely going to make the Knicks earn this one. Here we go. Under three to go in the quarter. Uh up top handing off to Simons. Hart fighting across the screen. Yaveli will switch. Simons drives into the teeth of the defense. This pull up Jay no good. Rebound by Hart. Knicks are pushing. They have numbers. Sham it into the lane to Yabu. Bad pass stolen by Hugo. I’ll say this. Gonzalez’s activity level is high. He’s been a disruptor in this ball game as Derek White’s three is up. No good. Hart knocked out of bounds by Brown. And it’s a foul and it’ll be Nick’s ball. Hugo’s a compet a competitor. A competitor. So damn bad he doesn’t even have a profile picture for us. Yeah. Um like you said, activity level high. He’s trying to make an impact there for the Celtics and um doing a good job. Ask Smitty if he gets a head shot for Hugo via Slack. Curious. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. This was from earlier in the quarter, but our guy Randy came in with another three for three. Randy from way downtown gets it to go. gets it to go. Shout out to Randy. He’s been showing love all night. We appreciate you, Randy G. Randy, Randy, Randy. Shout out to everybody here. Almost 1,700 people watching. Really appreciate that. Knicks have certainly picked up their three-point shooting. We know that was uh numbers weren’t looking good to start, but now they’re they’re around 40%. Um so they’ve gotten hot, starting to make some shots as well. And I think uh something I’m noticing again for the second game, they’re shooting a high percentage at the line, which is just it’s like a little bit of a pet peeve. Like you can’t just leave free points on there. want to make those because right now uh not a close game, but it could become a close game and uh those will always come back to bite you if you leave those free points on the line. But getting there a lot as well. The Knicks shot 36 free throws against Cleveland already up to 17 tonight. Yeah. So, and I think that’s just a sign of uh aggressiveness. Knicks have a lot of guys who can create and uh get to the rack and and they’re showing it. And uh Smitty said no. Okay. All good. Close this one out. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel. 280 subs away from 81,000. If you could hit that subscribe button, lock us in. We’re going to be live for almost every Knicks game this year. My man Frank Serrano in the building says, “Marshall, where is Smitty?” Just remember when ESPN said the Knicks were going to get swept out of the second round last year. Playoffs and Jaylen Brown said it feels like death losing to the Knicks. Fmitty 100% agree. Yeah, F. Smitty’s in the chat. I’m down with that. Or if you’re already subscribed, you could go ahead and type me. Let us know. We can shout out all the real ones. And if you’re not subscribed and you’re a Knicks fan, what are you doing? You want to hang out here? All the real ones. You see how much fun we have over here on Nicks now and we especially have fun beating up on the Celtics. You want to join that as Nicks beat up on hopefully every other team in the association this season. Subscribe. Shout out to Frank. Shout out to Luis. Shout out to James. Shout out to Dave, Nick, Donald, all the real ones. As as Anan and Obi drives, tried to dunk it. Got blocked. He’ll have another chance from the corner. Misses that one as well. Yaboo on the ground. Rebound by Boston. Here they go. Simons it into the front court. We’ll get it to Buchรฉ. Him and Pritchard play a little pick and roll. Simons hand off to Gonzalez. Knicks are switching on defense. Gonzalez drives right to left. Left hand scoop shot up and in. 6285 or 8265. Kick off the screen from Yabu. He’ll pop. He’ll catch it up top. Puts it on the deck. Hands it off to Kick. 10 to shoot. Kola driving on Gonzalez. Has a step, rips it into the corner. Hart’s three is blocked out of bounds by Buchet. Couple of threes this last couple of possessions that Buchรฉ has sent the other way. Reminded me of a young Mitchell Robinson. Used to block a lot of threes. I’ve been impressed by Gonzalez. I’m not going to lie. Sham it to throw it in. Knicks have five to shoot. He’ll get it to Yabaelli. He’ll catch it on the right wing. Three to shoot. puts it on the deck. Drive, gets the foul underneath to Col lays it up and in. And aliuverse layup, barely beating the shot clock. What a play. What a finish. English off the glass. The lefty Tyler Kick. I don’t know if he actually made that, but they counted it. Bush up top for Boston, giving it to Simons with five. Kick extending the defense. They’ll run one more pick and roll. Stolen by Colick. Loose ball picked up by Hart. You got to be impressed by what you seen from 13 today. OG in the corner. Jab, step, jump, stop, pass it to Pritchard. OG sloppy in the third. Pritchard stop and pop. Transition three. Short and a foul on the Knicks. Not even close was the Kick shot. Not even close. He did not get that off in time. I wonder if they’ll take that away. I don’t know if that’s something they review going back. Um think they have to note that. But the Knicks historically, I think still probably on the low end of things going their way with the officials. So, I’m not going to complain. 45 seconds left in the third quarter. Jaylen Brown up top. An Obi all over him. Gets to the foul line. Nowhere to go. Great defense. forces the miss. Towns with a big board. 35 ticks remaining. Hart trying to bring it up with pace. He’ll get it to a trailing Towns. Out to Kick. Colick beating Simons off the bounce. Lost it, but a foul on Boston. Foul on Boston. Ball will stick with the Knicks. Make sure you are subscribed. 1,700 people watching. Sub for Nick Stubs. Let’s go. What’s wrong with Col shoulder? What do you mean? What do you mean? Yeah, they took the colic shot off. So, you can do that. 82 to 65. It wasn’t even close. Col Sham Hart Towns Anenobi Gonzalez Simons Bouche Pritchard Brown K will throw it in from throws it up and turnover. I don’t know what that was. Tried to throw an alley up to Anobi Gonzalez the other way. Great defense by Sham forc out of bounds off of Boston they say. Pretty sure that was off of Kohic. Jaylen Brown begging for a challenge down 17. Get back on defense loser. Kolic on the right side. Shot clock turned off. 12 seconds to work. They’ll send a double. He’ll get it to Hart. He’ll play downhill. Sham it. Wide open corner three. Good. But an offensive foul wipes away the three. I’ll let you guess who the dumb offensive foul was on. I mean, how many times just like so frustrating. You watch 82 games last year and we’re game two games in now and it’s just like things that are just like avoidable. like it if he just like played the way he should, he would be one of the best players in the NBA. And he is one of the best players in the NBA still. But Brown will heave it at the buzzer from mid-range. Got it off in time. No good. The Knicks will head to the fourth quarter up 17. They lose that quarter by three. They would have tied the quarter if Carl Anthony Towns just didn’t recklessly throw a moving screen on a wideopen Landry Shamat three that wiped away the triple. While we do go to the fourth quarter, I got to tell you about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. I want to welcome back DraftKings, the sponsor here on New York Knicks now by Chad Sports. They didn’t they didn’t smoke the entire lead. So, that is the baby steps to uh positive becoming a plus third quarter team. Maybe one day they’ll get there. But and I guess listen if we have to choose I’d rather be a fourth quarter team than a third quarter team. Yeah. Shout out to everyone and shout out to Callum Hughes LGK. He was in I saw him in the Giants last week and here he’s coming to us from the UK. Got to be late there. Appreciate you supporting with Knicks now, my man. C Hughes, that’s that’s the guy. That’s the guy. All right, fourth quarter underway. Towns, Bridges, McBride, Clarkson, and Kick on the four for the Knicks. It’s Derek White, Pritchard, Buchรฉ, Simons, and Gonzalez as Pritchard hits a three for Boston to cut it to 14. That lead ain’t safe, I’ll tell you that much. Come on, Knicks. McBride to bring it up. Pritcher applying fullcourt pressure. He barely crosses half court with time to spare. McBride off the screen from Towns. Three-pointer. Long rebound grabbed by Cat. He’ll have it at the left elbow. Face up. Pump fake. Fall away. No good. I don’t know why that was the shot. Wide open. Why are we onelegged Dirk fall away? Pritchard using the screen. Kick all over him and they’ll whistle Kick for contact. Foul on the Knicks. Is Malik Beasley the snitch? I don’t know. As they show on the broadcast, the Knicks are currently leading the Celtics in fast break points 15 to zero. So, good job by the Knicks pushing the pace and getting back on defense as well. 16 offensive boards to four for Boston as well. So, you’re out running them and you’re beating them up on the glass. 13 more rebounds in general. Derek White up top into the lane. He attacks Towns. Push shot up. No good. Hugo Gonzalez with a put back layup. Wow. I think I’ve said it a couple of times. I’ve been impressed by that kid. I don’t know where he’s from or who is he who he is, but he’s impressed me. Kick into the front court. 15 on the shot clock. Reversal. Rejects the screen behind the back pass. Got too cute. Turnover. Boston’s out and running. Gonzalez to Simons. Simons layup. Blocked by McBride. Stolen by Deuce. Here come the Knicks. They’ve got numbers. Deuce to Clarkson. Three. No good. Rebound by Towns. Right back up with it. Missed it. Missed it again. Got his own miss. He’s determined to get it in, but he’s fouled. He’ll go to the line. About four misses there from point blank range. But he finally gets the whistle. You know what? I’ll give him I’ll I love that because he’s playing physical and aggressive what we’ve been begging him to do and he decided to lose his skill when he did that. But uh hopefully one day he’ll be able to marry the two together. Three rebounds on that possession alone and um he’s up to 12 boards but 413 from the field. He is one of eight from two. First free throw is good. First free throw makes it a 13-point game. Towns looking for one more to get to 20 on the night and extend the lead to 14. Free throw up. Rattles in. Knicks up by 14 as we’re at 10 minutes left here in the final quarter. Simons will have it. Kick on him. Extending the defense to midcourt. I’ve liked his intensity. Simons driving on Towns. Step back mid-range. Jay is good. Lead back to 12. Kick defended by Hugo. Gets a nice screen from Towns into the front court to Bridges who hands off to Deuce. He’ll swing to Kick. Kowick swinging. Town shooting. Good. Carl Anthony Towns making it rain from deep. He’s four of six from deep. Pritchard trying to cut into this New York lead. White being bottled up by McBride. Flopping for a foul and he gets it. I know Derek White is a good basketball player. I also think he qualifies for one of the most overrated players in the league because he’s a role player and he’s a damn good role player. Yeah, I mean he um but he’s a role player. Yeah, I think he has benefited from going to the Boston Celtics. We all he’s kind of been able to bring his stats to a different level on Boston because they get up a lot of threes, they shoot them efficiently. He gets a lot of wide openen looks playing next to guys like Jaylen Brown and and Jason Tatum and all and and that as well. Um benefits from the Celtics system, but yeah, if you’re asking him to initiate offense and and create uh it’s a little above his capabilities. He could be a four on a title team. I don’t know if he could be a three on a title team. Yeah. And he wasn’t on the Celtics team. You had Drew Holidayiday. You had Christophorzingis. You had Jason Tatum. You had Jaylen Brown. He was the fifth best player. He’s really good at what he does. He’s a damn good shooter. High IQ player. As Towns almost throws that away. Kick saves it. Now he’s pressed up against half court and he’ll have to turn it over because of a bad pass from Towns. 13-point lead. Ball in the hands of Simons and he’s fouled by Clarkson. I It’s a shooting foul and he’ll go to the line with a chance to cut it to 11. Knicks have been outscored here in the second half by three. Simon’s first free throw. No good. Ball don’t lie. Give me some BDL’s in the chat. BDL drizzy. BDL drizzy. John, what up? John, what up Frankie? What up Amy? Shout out to all y’all. Kick will bring it up. He’ll find Towns on the left wing. A step inside the arc. Guarded by Bush. He’ll take him to the lane. Fouled. He made it, but I don’t think they’re going to give him the bucket. Oh, they’re going to give him the bucket. I’m not sure it’ll be free throws either. Likely Knicks ball side out of bounds. Brunson will check back into the game. Kick will sit down. Four assists on the night for Kick. Brunson, Towns, Clarkson, Bridges, and McBride. Bridges in the corner. Turnover. Bad pass by Brunson. Forced him to try to save it. Try to throw it off. White stolen. White on the other end for three. No good. Big board by Towns. knifing in and rising and snatching. Brunson transition three. No good. 18 turnovers for the Knicks. A little bit sloppy on that front. Timeout Boston. Well, we go to a timeout here in the fourth quarter. I got to tell you about DraftKings. I want to welcome back DraftKings, the sponsor here on New York Knicks now by Chad Sports. Still a sore subject though. We’re uh we’re focused on football and basketball here at Knicks and Giants now. Baseball season. Shout out to everyone getting the let’s go Knicks down in the chat if you want the Knicks to win this game. Like the video. Don’t jinx it. And let’s get those LGKs down in the chat. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Celebrity Row getting shown on the broadcast right now. I think last year I I thought it was Joe Button, but it was common. And then everybody roasted me in the chat and then everybody said, “Never mind.” NASA Gada up top. Five on the shot clock for Boston. Kada drive. Euroep floater. No good. Rebound by Bridges. Bridges towns Brunson and McBride joined by Clarkson. Bridges into the front court. Swings to McBride and he finds Brunson. Brunson. Oh my god. that he lost Derek White, but he missed the wideopen jumper. Derek White, he’ll pull up for three. No good. Towns running for the board. Stepped out of bounds. No one else tried to rebound. It’s got to be all five on the floor. Come on, stop effing around Derek White to sit down for Boston. So, there’s actually a challenge being called. Pretty sure his foot was out of bounds. Mike Brown is challenging the call. I think he was out. I think he was out. All right, we’ll see. But like you said, can’t play around. Don’t want to mess around. Can’t let them get into single digits. want to try and put some separation here. Uh interesting rotations. It looks like we’ve at least got Brunson and Towns in pretty early in the fourth quarter here. Uh you know, a lot of teams would like to sit their best players early in the fourth, keep them fresh for that back half of the fourth quarter. I know that was typically something Tibido did with Brunson at least. Um, but they’re getting early minutes here in the fourth, trying to put some distance, put this game away for the Knicks. Yeah, a lot of turnovers. How many How many turnovers does Boston have? The Knicks are at 19. Driving to the Hoop says they will donate 5,000 if you say my name. So, driving to the hoop, we’ll see what you’re about. If not, we’re blocking you from the channel. 13 turnovers for Boston. 15 for the It’s more than 15, too. Well, 15. Thought it was 18. Give the Nick some credit, Marsh. I know. Got to give him some credit. You’ve been just watching too much Carl Towns in the lane throwing the ball to nobody. Tamar BS, what up? Ulysus Gonzalez. I definitely butchered that. He says, “I think the Knicks need another ball handler.” Uh, I mean, yeah, we thought Malcolm Brogden was going to be kind of that point guard leader off the bench. We’ve been impressed with Tyler Kick so far. He’s looked good as that backup to Jaylen Brunson. Obviously, they have Jaylen Brunson. for me like when those when Brunson’s not in or Kolix’s not in like I want to see them run the offense through guys like Bridges and Anobi who have quiet been quiet in the second half both of them but those guys like can kind of create their own shot and they can get looks for themselves as well and um especially kind of three level they could they have the potential to be threele scorers if they’re hitting their shots. Uh, Bridge is so good at that fall away in the lane. And Anobi has improved his mid-range and a great corner three-point shooter as well. Not great at shooting numbers tonight, but people are saying in the chat, the Knicks have won the challenge, but oh, there was a foul. So Nick Knicks had the ball. Bridges in the front court. All right. So challenge one. Bridges drive. Pull up. Midi no good. Rebound by Boston. Hower from beyond the arc. Misses. Rebound corral by Clarkson. Gets it over to Brunson. And the Knicks will go. Brunson into the lane. Contact floater up and in. Didn’t get the whistle but got it to drop. Lead back up to 14 with 720 to go. Pritchard to fire for three. No good. Bridges doesn’t block out. Rebound by Kate out to White. Swing to Hower. He’ll fire for three. Good. You don’t box out in this league and you allow extra possessions. Threes are going to fall. 11-point lead. The smallest lead for the Knicks since early. Brunson driving on Hugo. Lot of contact. Fall away too. No good. This time he gets the whistle. This time he gets the whistle. You know, there’s a lot said about Jaylen Brunson and the amount of times he goes to the line, but to me, it’s great for him to look to be aggressive and potentially get fouled when you start to have the other team going on a little bit of a run, kind of just stop the run, slow things down for the Knicks, give the coaches a second to adjust and maybe get some adjustments out there to the players. So, uh, one positive of Brunson who gets to the line a lot and and listen, I think he gets fouled a lot. I don’t think he he should be going to the line more. Yeah, I think I don’t think he exaggerates to the point that people like to like to comment on. I mean, if he got the whistle like SGA did, he’d be he’d be averaging a lot more free throws, too. Donovan Mitchell runson made the first, makes the second lead back up to 13 for the Knicks as we’re under seven to go in this ball game. Over 1,800 people watching. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel as Pritchard up top will drive on Brunson. Met by Bridges in the lane. Left Eric wide open in the corner. Poked away by Clarkson. Clarkson steals it from White. Kicks it now into the back court. Hower recollects. Fresh shot clock for Boston. Brown is walking all over the world. Call a travel. He threw it away anyways. Knicks ball that way. Ball don’t lie. Great game for Jaylen Brown. Six turnovers. Brunson on the logo. Swings to Bridges. Bridges pump fake. Get Brown in the air. Midi no good. Kale hasn’t been that good today. Brown lost it again. He’ll retrieve. Guarded by Brunson. He’ll look to attack. Gets him to the foul line. Clarkson double. Swings to Hugo. Flip to White. White for three over Yaboo. Good. And it is a 10point ball game. Timeout, Mike Brown. Not a great start to the fourth quarter for the Knicks. Nope. Uh they’re letting them get right back into it, which is exactly what they shouldn’t do. And um yeah, they’re starting to build. Celtics are starting to build some momentum, hit some shots. Not what you want to see if you’re the Knicks and Mike Brown. Feel like you should be up more with the way some of these stats are going. Obviously, the Knicks have slowed their assist rate and increased their turnovers. I think they were at 16-3 earlier in the game. So, ball getting a little sticky for the Knicks. not moving the ball, not finishing off assist, and they’re also turning it over a lot. Um, but you’re out rebounding someone by 15, out shooting them, getting to the line more, you probably should be up more than 10. Yeah. 41 threes for the Knicks tonight. 36% solid percentage. Feel like they’ve missed a lot of easy ones, too. Yeah, that’s um early in the season. Probably still shaking off some rust, but hopefully those shots will start to fall. I think every guy in the Knicks has really probably not shot as well as we’d want them to shoot. Brunson having his way will handle at the logo defended by Hower. Sizing him up. Shaking pull up midi in and out. Halfway down. Josh Hart with the board. Out to Deuce for three. No good. Hart with the board again. Out to Brunson. Brunson. Drive. Layup. Up and in. Got to have Hart. Josh Hart gives the Knicks two extra chances. And they capitalize. 21 offensive rebounds for the Orange and Blue. Jaylen Brown driving on Brunson. Layup up. Good. Five minutes to go. Josh Harden into the front court. He’ll now find McBride on the right wing. Douche driving across horizontally. He’ll swing it to Anobi. And a timeout for Mike Brown. And OG Anobi’s hurt. OG’s hurt. I’ll go straight to the locker room heavily limping. OG and Obie is hurt. Yeah, didn’t look great for OG there. Don’t want to speculate, but straight to the locker room, walking awkwardly, limping. The way he was kind of like dragging his leg makes me think something on the inside of his leg, maybe a groin or something like that. Um, not good. Obviously, game two. Um, and he’s important to this the success of this team. So, hopefully he’s okay. Hopefully, it’s not too bad. Hopefully, maybe he’s just cramping up or something. Maybe like a knee to the thigh or something. Yeah, like a dead leg. Oh, maybe a cramp. I mean, yeah, you you hold your breath with that guy. Yeah, seriously. Not the best history of injuries. Um, we’ll see. Here’s the replay. Non- contact. Non-cont. broadcast has said that he is back on the bench and they are working on him. And the Knicks just out of a timeout 5-second violation. Oh, they have uh Knicks played clean in the first half, not a clean game in the second half. And trying to give the game back to Boston. 10-point game. Ball in the hands of Boston. Jaylen Brown for three. No good. Long rebound saved by Hart. Throws it up to Towns. Towns is fouled. It’ll be And they’re going to say it’s off of Boston. The Knicks need to move quickly as I do though. I don’t know if that was for sure of them. Brunson to throw it in. He’ll get it to Hart. Hart hands it off to him. Brunson playing downhill. Has to watch out for the double. He sees it. He’s full steam ahead to the rim. Floater up. Good. Jaylen Brunson with a big time bucket. Pritchard into the front court using the screen. Swinging to White. Back to Pritchard. McBride all over him. White flopping for three. Air ball. Quit flopping on jump shots. play hoops, man. Come on, man. You’re better than that. You’re better than that, Derek. Brunson will cross half court. Back door pass to Brunson. He’s on the elbow. One-on-one with Nemius Kada. They send a double. He rips it to McBride. McBride back to Brunson. Five on the shot clock. He’ll walk down Derek White. Face him up into the lane. Step back. Lost it into Cat. Got it off. No good. Jaylen Brown to drive right at heart. Layup up. Missed it. But a foul. They called a foul. Over 1,900 people watching. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel. If you are subscribed, type me. Type me. If we have everybody watching, hit that sub button. we’d get to 81,000 subs right now. Brown at the line. First free throw is up and good. 9584 with 342 left in the ball game. Can the Knicks close this one out? OG, what up? What up? Shout to Zeff. Shout out to Ulysus, Taj Dave, Jay Davis. We appreciate all y’all, man. as Jaylen Brown knocks. He missed the second free throw. Rebound by Hart. And then Hart’s pass is knocked out of bounds. It’ll be Nick’s ball. Come on, Knicks. Come on, Knicks. Up 11. 337 to go. Lock in here. Also, that should be an offensive interference on Derek White. He was in the lane before the ball even hit the rim as he ran in from outside the three-point line. Ridges drives into the lane. Cut off by Gonzalez. I’ll hand it off to Deuce. Boston has picked up their defensive intensity. Deuce to drive. Finds a wideopen heart. Corner three. Airball. Josh Hart. Man, you might just want to get that surgery, brother. As Brunson fouls Nemius Kada on the other end. Brunson telling Mike Brown he got all ball. Oh, and Brunson is right. He did get a lot of, if not all, ball there. And he definitely gets the ball first before any potential arm contact, but they’re not going to challenge. And Kada knocks down the first free throw. Josh Josh Hart has been awesome today on the glass. Yeah, he has 11 rebounds, but he’s one of seven from the field and he’s 0 of three from three. If you can’t shoot, I don’t know if you could play. Yeah, we’re better off if that is the issue. Heeling up as he just misses as he gets another rebound there. 12 rebounds on the night for Hart. Three minutes to go. Brunson bringing it up into the front court. He’ll find Josh Hart underneath the rim. Hart kicks it out to Towns. Towns rips to Brunson. Brunson back. Oh, he missed Towns. He’ll drive on Pritchard. Reverse into the corner. McBride good. What a shot. Deuce McBride runs and missed. Towns, but he got it to the guy who made it. 13-point game. Hart pressing up on Jaylen Brown. Look at a screen from Kada. Towns there on the help. Brown drives at Towns. Good with the left off the glass. Hart handling for New York. Brown pressing up on him. Brunson setting a screen. He’ll rip it to Towns. Towns back door to Brunson. Brunson out to Hart. Back to Brunson. 215 left. Nine on the shot clock. Brunson milking the clock. Looking for a dagger into the lane. Drop off to Towns and he throws it down. The one-two punch trying to seal this one for the Knicks as Derek White drives the other way. Lays it up and in. Quick bucket for Boston. Towns will bring it into the front court as Nemius Kada applies pressure and he fouls him. He fouls him. I believe both teams are in the bonus. So it should be free throws. I I couldn’t tell by the graphic that they used. OG Anobia is now pedaling on the stationary bike in the tunnel. I think that’s probably a positive sign, but yeah, I agree. Knicks have a chance to put some distance here as Towns of the Line trying to make it a 13-point game. Come on, Cat. First free throw. Towns no good. Too strong. 2100 people watching. Appreciate everybody for being here. If you could please hit that subscribe button, help us get to our goal of 81,000 subscribers. 100K is within reach. Help us get there. We’d really, really appreciate it. Jaylen Brown up top down by 12. He’ll pull up from three. Good. Wow. He picked that one from way downtown. Nine-point game. This is the lowest the lead has been in about three quarters. Brunson gets a screen from Towns. Swings to Bridges. 90 seconds left. Nine-point lead. This game’s not over. Brunson defended by Pritchard using a screen. Hower switch. Brunson three. Dagger. You betcha. Gets it to go. Knicks up 12. What a shot from the captain. Derek White for three. Fouled and one. They call a foul on Miles McBride on the Derek White three. He made it. A chance now to cut this lead to eight. I’d like to see where the foul is. I don’t know if he touched him. Knicks will not challenge. Lead could be cut to eight here with a three. Just when you thought Brunson hit a dagger, the Knicks give up a four-point play as White misses the free throw. Ball don’t lie. He’s been flopping on jump shots all night long. He’s been fishing and he finally got one. McBride is doubled. Swings to Bridges. 60 ticks left. Bridges to an open Hart in the corner. Hart driving. Fall away. 13-footer. Missed it. Rebound by Brown. Nine-point game. Brown will cross midcourt with 47 left. He’ll throw it away. Nice pass, Jaylen Brown. Wow. He just threw that to the Knicks scorer table. Brunson into the front court, whacked by Brown. Foul. He’ll go to the line for two to extend this lead to 11 with 40 seconds left. Kind of two ways to look at this. The Knicks had the chance to kind of put this away and make it a laugh or they didn’t, but they also were able to kind of sustain some punches from Boston. So, um, we’ll see. I I’d like to see them kind of take that next step as a team and be able to put teams away and not play with their food, quote unquote, but um overall a good sign that they can still probably not even play their best and still get wins. You’re up 20 at the half. Well, you’re not going to win every game by 20 as Brunson knocks in the free throw to make it 10. You’ve been beaten the second half by 10ish. Thought you made a good point. They were able to withstand the run. I mean, this game’s not over, but um you would have liked to take off on them. Game two, not the worst thing in the world. You felt some pressure and had to figure out a way to close it out. And uh Celtics take out some of their starters now. White goes to the bench, Brown goes to the bench. Jay Liv, nice of you to stop by, man. I’m glad you could still make time for us every once in a while as uh towns exits. Kyle Anthony Towns will be subbing out. He finishes with 26 and 13. Brunson with a chance to make it 32 on the night. And he missed it. Missed the free throw. 10-point game. Boston has taken their starters out. They have quit as Pritchard will drive into the teeth of the defense. Short jumper up. No good. Rebound. Hugo will try on the three. That’s no good. Rebound grab by Josh Hart. Shot clock is turned off. The Knicks can dribble this one out. They will. Boston will not foul. The Knicks will get to 2 and 0 as they beat the Boston Celtics 10595. The Knicks are 2 and 0 in the Mike Brown era. Let’s go. you’re excited for that Knicks win, get those W’s down in the chat, spam it. If you want to throw in an F Smitty here or there, I’m not going to complain. But, um, yeah, I think um I don’t know. I think the fact that we are feeling the way we do after a 10-point win against Boston where the game never really went into doubt just kind of shows where we’re at as Knicks fans. Agreed. You’d like to have closed it out and not get a little sweaty at the end, but a win by 10 is a win by 10 in the NBA. I think if they did this a year ago, we would be fired up. 10-point double digit win against Boston. So, Nicks are um still not at their ceiling, but look good through these first two games. as Brunson kind of echoes that sentiment saying Nicks did a good job, but they know they can play better and at least they’re they know where they’re at and I think there’s room to improve for them as well. Got a little sloppy in the second half. Turnovers, uh, they were really good in turn not turning the ball over in the first half. Had a lot of them in the second half. Kind of helped Boston get back in the game. And as well as that three-point defense still needs some work. Uh early in that third quarter, Hower had a lot of open looks. White got some looks in the fourth quarter. Brown even hit a few. Um so still some uh still some meat left on the bone there for the Knicks to try and play up to their potential. But overall, like can’t complain. win against Boston, starting the season 2 and 0. These are uh first world NBA fan problems that we’re that we’re dealing with. Let’s go, man. 2 and 0. 82 and 0 still in play. Andrew Connell, that’s right. Can’t go 82 and0 if you don’t go 2 and 0. So, and uh Celtics dropped to 0 and2. Not uh not too upset about that either. You know what, Terrence? I was I was looking for an analogy and uh I’m hungry. So, that’s what came to that’s what came to mind. I’m getting a little chirping from the chat on the meat left on the bone analogy. What do you mean by that? I mean that the Knicks can play better. That’s all I was trying to say. That’s all I got to say. That’s all I’m trying to say. Okay. Surprised nothing from Bronx Boy on that one. Vinnie Pip, he probably left. Probably hanging out with all the hot girls on Friday night. That’s what he does. Jay Liv says, “You can’t complain, but y’all are complaining.” Jay Liv, I’m complaining that you haven’t been hanging out with us this much this year. That’s all I know. I don’t know if you just don’t like us anymore. You found another channel you want to watch or or what. I mean, do you miss Alper that much? Is that what it is? Do you miss Brett Alper? All I’m saying is uh last game Alper produced on this channel, Nick Knicks lost. And so far I produced two games and two wins. So let the number I’ll let the numbers tell the story, but some would say that’s true. Yeah. Some would say the uh the Knicks are undefeated in the Andrew Connell produ production era. I think that’s just fact. as the Amazon Prime postgame show leads with Hugo Gonzalez. There was their main point of conversation. Blake Griffin, I think that’s his uh comedic input there as well. But um what uh take us through some scat some stats here, AC. Yeah, we’ll start with the captain. Uh definitely a bounceback game. It kind of uh he kind of came in on strong in the fourth quarter. I think was kind of having a slow shooting start as well early in the game. Uh kind of carried that over a little bit from Cleveland. But to finish with 31, I can’t cannot complain about that. 31 points, uh, five assists, one turnover, taking care of the ball, and, uh, 50% from the field, 40% from three. I mean, playing like the ended up with a Jaylen Brunson type performance that we come to expect from him. So, shout out to the captain bringing us home. Have to talk about Towns as well. Strong game from him, 26 and 13. Would love to cut down on the five turnovers. That can’t happen every single game. and um he’s just got to make smarter decisions. Also not his best shooting game as well. Six of 16 from the field, but four of six from behind the arc. And I think really the story with Towns is he kind of kept the Knicks a float in that first quarter when they started slow um and let them get back into this game. Josh Hart, first game of the season, only two points, three assists, no turnovers from him, which is always a positive because he loves that jump pass uh where he doesn’t know where he’s going with the ball. 14 rebounds, though, six of them offensive. So, I I think that was a big thing for the Knicks. They extended a lot of possessions, got a lot of extra looks, uh because they didn’t shoot great, but um obviously the more looks you get, the better. Uh Yabu, I don’t even know if he played in the third. Still kind of finding his footing, I think. Uh we’ve seen like him being an effective player in the NBA. There’s no reason he can’t do that for the Knicks. I think just kind of trying to feel out his role on this team and I think the Knicks still kind of feeling out their rotations as well. And then uh Bridges quiet, not uh not inefficient, just really never I think really didn’t get going much in the second half. I think I don’t know if he even scored in the second half, but finishes with 12, five of 10, two of four. Uh efficient, just uh not high volume for him tonight. And then we got to talk about OG as well hopefully. and it looks like he may be okay doing some bike work. So, uh that’s a good sign. But, um another guy who strong first half, not much in the second half. I think Jaylen Brunson really just kind of carried in the second half. So, that’s really what we got for the Knicks there. Tyler Kohlick, I think another strong performance, although um did end up racking up three turnovers. So, um mixed bag from him. But, uh, I think like we said, his activity level was great. Uh, made some plays on defense as well, something he’s not known for. So, uh, if he can do that, his minutes may continue to go up and up if he can defend at a even a solid level. I think he adds so much on the offensive end that his value will be high. Yeah, I thought he competed. I thought the activity level was high. He knows that he’s got to fight and claw for every minute on this team. I I think the turnovers don’t really paint the picture of what happened. couple of those he was caught with a hot ball. Um I thought he played all right. And uh for we’ll go through Boston as well. Jaylen Brown 23 but seven turnovers. Not the worst shooting night from him, but I think he kind of boosted those shooting numbers in that fourth quarter while they were trying to make a comeback. Not much from Pritchard. eight points, five six assists, five rebounds, but awful shooting night from him. Derek White, another guy who did not shoot the rock well, five of 18 from the field. Uh I think we talked about it’s kind of playing a little bit out of his depth maybe as a primary offensive option for the Celtics who are without little other choice with dealing with the Tatum injury and also losing Holiday and Porzingis this off seasonason as well. I think uh I think you said it, Sam Hower, great shooter. can’t leave him open. Didn’t really do literally did nothing else but fire up threes and six of 10. That’s a pretty pretty good clip. So, Knicks need to I think this happened the other night with Sam Merrill as well. When there’s a guy who you know is a knockdown shooter, just don’t help off of him. There’s no reason to. There’s four other guys on the floor. Uh especially when he’s the only guy who’s shooting well. We as we saw some of those other guys on the Celtics have lackluster shooting numbers. Just stay on him. Uh, Neimius Kada, not really anything notable from him. Eight and seven, but uh, didn’t really ever jump off the page. I think you said you were impressed with with Ugo Gonzalez. Yeah, I thought he I thought he played well. I thought he competed. He was physical on defense. Didn’t shy away. I think if you’re a Celtic fan, you got to be pumped up about that guy. And, uh, just kind of a highle look here. Knicks uh win the glass big time, 53 to 37. Um end up boosting that assist to turnover ratio 23 to 15. I think we’d like to cut down on 15 turnovers. That’s a little high. Not the worst, but uh considering I think they had three early on in the game either either at the half or late into that first half. A sloppy second half. 45 three-point attempts. So definitely a noticeable change under Mike Brown to get more threes up and we see that dip in efficiency a little bit at 37, but it’s working for them so far. I saw someone in the chat point out before 22 to 25 from the line. That’s big. Don’t want to leave points there. And I’d like to see them shoot better from two as well. 38% uh overall not great. You want to be getting better looks inside the ark. And uh see we have some super chats that came in. So we will get to those as well. Let’s just dive into them right now. Let’s do it. We’ll hit the super chats and then we’ll dive into a postgame show. Yeah. The Knicks shot what? 16 of 41 from two. Not good enough. Not great. I don’t know if that’s uh quality of the looks or just missing shots as well, but yeah. Rodrigo coming in with a super chat. Thank you, bro. Appreciate you from being here. a Knicks fan from Chile. My man, salute to you, Rodrigo. Appreciate you watching us, supporting the show. Thank you, brother. Thank you, my man. Greg Williams, a legend. Couldn’t be here until the second half. Great results. Let’s go, Knicks. Wish this game was on your birthday, Marsh. Yeah, Knicks. Uh, Giants couldn’t get it done on my birthday, but you know what is what it is, man. Greg, appreciate you being here. You always show love. Again, another $5 super chat. Thank you very much. Greg says they’re playing like when you make a bad play on the offensive end, you stepped up on the defense to uh atone for it. That’s how we played pickup back in the day. Yeah. I I mean there were time I mean you held the Boston Celtics to 95 points. Anytime you hold a team I feel like in the modern NBA to under 100, you’re doing something right. Definitely. On the defensive side of the floor you held Cleveland to 111 and they shot the piss out of the ball as well. Um, I thought the Knicks were connected on defense. I thought they moved well and I mean outside of Sam Hower, the Celtics didn’t really shoot all that well. Yeah, I think uh and I think that’s a good They had a good game plan. Listen, I mean, as much as we’re frustrated Sam Hower’s knocking down threes, if if you’re trying to make Sam Hower beat you, and he does. I think you live with that. So, I think they did a good job not letting White get going. Brown forced him to turn the ball over seven times. Pritchard didn’t really do anything. So pretty solid. Like again, we’re splitting hairs here for looking for things to kind of think the Knicks can improve on. I think overall they’re really building a solid foundation for the season. Love it. All right, let’s dive into a postgame show here on the channel as the Knicks are 2 and 0. 82 and 0 is still on the table. Could be the first team to ever do it. Wouldn’t that be pretty cool? As the Lakers and T-Wolves are getting set to tip off on Amazon Prime. Where’d he go Bear? When did he go bald? Has he always been bald? I think it’s a this it’s a this season thing. Okay. I I don’t even Does he even look like he has to? I don’t know. Maybe he’s just a style trying to get that tough guy look going. I don’t know what he’s got going on. can go to that player two comp pretty early. Yeah, Dante Devenenzo starting at point guard for the T-Wolves. Shout out to y’all. Still 915 people watching. We appreciate y’all, man. Knicks get their second win of the season. Looked good. Kind of dominated. You won you. What was What’s crazy is you lost the first quarter by eight. You lost every quarter except the second quarter, but you won the second quarter 42 to4. You you you you stopped them. Um 18 points in that third quarter. you finished it well, but overall outside of the second quarter, some work to be done for the New York Knicks, but when you win a quarter 42 to 14, that’s that’s what you can expect. And we saw the Knicks team play at that level, and that’s what we’re we’re hoping that they could do more consistently. It’s going to take time. brand new coach. They got to learn to play together. But man, you got to be excited, I think. Got to be excited. All right, let’s go ahead and uh dive into it. The New York Knicks beat the Boston Celtics 105 to 95 to get their second win in the Mike Brown era. They dominate the second quarter. They show off the type of team they can be, but there are still some areas of improvement I want to see. And I know it’s going to take some time. We’ll recap this game. We’ll talk about the OG and Obi injury as well. But if you’re excited to be 2 and 0 in the Mike Brown era with a chance to still get to 82 and 0, hit that thumbs up icon right now. This is Nicks now by chat sports. I am your host Marshall Green and it was a fun one. Friday night Nicks, they deliver a W. Overall broad look of the stats. The New York Knicks dominate on the glass 53-37 against the Celtics. I thought that played a pivotal role in this ball game. The New York Knicks also had 21 offensive rebounds, just eight offensive rebounds for Boston. You also had uh you you you dominated them in the fast break. What was Let’s start with this. It’s a completely different looking team. They’re playing a different brand of basketball. 45 threes attempted for the New York Knicks. You actually hoist more threes than the Boston Celtics, who shot the most threes in the NBA all of last season, but you did that while maintaining a physicality aspect as well. You get to the line 25 times. You beat them up on the boards and and you find a way to win. You lose the first quarter 30-22, but you win the second quarter 42 to 14. Before I talk about this game anymore, I want to talk about OG and Anobi. He left the game in that fourth quarter with what appeared to be a non-cont injury. Um, he was limping as if it was a muscle in his quad or thigh. Uh, maybe it’s a cramp. Maybe he strained his quad. I don’t know. But anytime OG and an Obi gets hurt, you hold your breath. He always will be an X factor for this team. Um, anytime I see him hurt, I get a little bit scared. Hopefully, he’s all right. If if and when we do get an update on Anobi, we’ll get you guys a video as soon as possible. So, make sure you are subscribed to the channel and have those notifications turned on. At the time of recording this video, uh, we have not heard anything on the OG Anobi front. What a game for Jaylen Brunson. Really a game of a couple of different tales. He started off the game uh pretty inefficient. I think he was one of five, maybe even one of six at one point, but in that second half, he kind of heated up and just took over the ball game, finishing with 31 points, five assists, and just one turnover. And and that’s big because the Knicks were a team that was turning the ball over at an extremely high rate. 15 turnovers, but only one out of the hands of Jaylen Brunson. He brought you home down the stretch. Started to find the range from downtown. I thought he competed on defense as well. Um, a really good game from Jaylen Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns. I know the percentages from the field aren’t great. six of 16 essentially shot two of 10 from inside the ark. But it was his offense in that first quarter and into that second quarter that really gave this Knicks team life and kept him afloat uh before they were able to really land that knockout punch. Six threes for him tonight. I wouldn’t even mind if that number goes up a little bit. I think he’s one of the best shooters in the NBA. The best big man shooter in the NBA. He showed some physicality with 13 boards as well. Five turnovers though that cannot happen. Too sloppy with the basketball. Still early knocking the preseason rust off, but kind of just a similar tune that’s being sung about Cat. Dumb fouls turned the ball over, but overall 26 and 13 from the big man. We’ll take it. Josh Hart returned to action and made his 2025 season debut. And it was the most Josh Hart game of all time. Two points, 14 rebounds. He gave you six on the offensive end coming off the bench, but he goes one of eight from the field and 0 of three from downtown. I thought that the finger played a major part in his accuracy as a shooter. Um I wonder if it’s just one of those things you just bite the bullet, miss four months, and come back for the stretch run of the playoffs. But 14 rebounds for Hart in 18 minutes. He was balls to the wall and he emptied the clip and he gave you what you thought you can get out of a bench player in Hart. We got to talk about Miles McBride, Muel Bridges, and a lot more about this game. But first, I got to tell you about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. Limited time offer. Alrighty. Miles McBride ended up getting the start tonight for the New York Knicks. Mitchell Robinson did not play and we got to see that lineup that we wanted to see for a long time. Um the Knicks ultimately lose the first quarter 30 to22. I don’t know if that accurately paints the picture of how that lineup was. McBride made a big three in the fourth quarter. I thought he played some great defense on the guards for Boston. I thought he gave Simon some trouble. I thought he also gave Derek White some trouble as well. Liked what I saw from Deuce. a little inefficient from the field and from three, but uh I’m not too worried about that. I know Deuce is a good shooter and he showed that he could hit a big shot even when the shot wasn’t falling. And I think the sign of a good player is being able to impact the game when the shots not falling. Find a way to make an impact. Deuce McBride did that. Four assists and zero turnovers. Male Bridges, welcome back. DraftKings here on all that high an efficient game. 50% from the deck, 50% from downtown. I thought he made a couple of nice plays in transition. I thought he also did a good job defending as well. Um the volume for him and OG and Obi were low, but I thought they were effective in the way that uh that they played this game. Jordan Clarkson, that man loves a pullup transition three. He had two of them in the first half. He was running and gunning. Um you got to see a little bit of him. The minutes were pretty evenly distributed off the bench. Jordan Clarkson had 15. Shamut 13. Yabacelli 13, Kick 13, Josh Hart 18, 34 for Brunson, 33 for Towns, 36 for Bridges, 32 for McBride, 29 for OG and an Obi. I thought Tyler Kok played a pretty good game. Uh I think he two of those turnovers weren’t really his fault. But he got the Knicks going in that second quarter when they ultimately dominated 42-4. He had two drives, one where he kicked it to the left corner. Both going to the left corner. One resulted in an OG and an OB3. Another resulted in a male Bridges three. And that kind of opened up the floodgates for the absolute domination the Knicks put on the Celtics in that second quarter. We also saw a stop and pop transition three from Landry Shamut. He’s going to be able to get those type of looks. If he can contribute on defense, you know, he gives the effort. Sometimes he’s just not lengthy enough and he’s not able to disrupt shots due to his smaller stature, but he competes. He’s got a high IQ and if he makes shots, he’s going to be a part of the rotation. You didn’t really get much from Gershon Yabiselli. He did have three points, five rebounds. I thought some effort plays from him kind of sparked the Garden crowd when they were not on their feet in that second quarter. a couple of rebounds. Uh, five of those and I think a couple were offensive as well. He had three offensive rebounds. Um, I liked what I saw from him. Areas of improvement. Too many turnovers for the Knicks. 23 assists to 15 turnovers. Um, got to take care of the ball. You had one turnover. Think about this. One turnover from Brunson and McBride combined. Um, I don’t even think Bridges Bridges had two. OG had one. Bridges had two. Towns had five. Kick had three. Shamid had two. 15 turnovers just too many. You shot a lot of threes. You hit them at a pretty good percent of 37%. You weren’t good from two at all. Some quick mental math on the fly. I think you were 16 of 41 from two. I don’t know what percent that is. Uh but not good. Not good. So, you got to be better from inside the arc. Um not really sure if it was the shot quality, the defense. They were just missing some easy shots as well. But you were really good from the free throw line. Made up for it there. 22 of 25. You converted an 88% quick from the line while also shooting almost 38% on 45 threes. You’re you’re going to win a lot of games in this league. I thought the Knicks did a really good job on Jaylen Brown. He is the snake, head of the snake for that offensive attack. Seven turnovers. Pressure the ball when he’s got it. Force him left. He will throw the balls to the scores table. Uh did it a couple of times in this one. Derek White unable to find the range. Thought the Knicks made it tough on him. He was flopping like a flip fish out of water consistently in that ball game. Uh I thought the Knicks overall played really good defense outside of their defensive performance against Sam Hower. Six of 10 was Hower from three. I get it. You take him away. You’re 10 of 34 as a team. That’s essentially 30% for the other Boston Celtics. So, uh, got to extend the defense to Hower. Saw that in game one against Sam Merrill. Gave him a couple of easy looks. No need to help off of those shooters. We’ve been talking that for a while. You also need to help help off when you’re one pass away in a situation like that. But overall, outside of one guy lighting it up, the Boston Celtics were 10 of uh, no, nine of 34 um, from three. So, pretty good stuff on that front for the Knicks. Overall, a good game and and and your win is fueled by your second quarter. Need to be a little bit better in the third and fourth. Game got tight. You were able to find a way and win this ball game though. Every win. It feels good. Um Ian Begley now reporting OG and Obi would have been able to go back in the game if needed per Mike Brown. I don’t believe you because you said the same thing about Josh Hart in the first preseason game and then he had to miss game one of the season. You also said that you’re load managing Mitchell Robinson even though he played in game one, two, and three of the preseason. I won’t believe anything the Knicks ever say about injuries. I hope they’re right. Fingers crossed. When we do get an OGNobi update though, we’ll get you a video saying it’s only a cramp for Anobi. So hopefully that’s right and they’re not lying to us. Yeah, I mean it looked like it could be. So, but like then you see him come down with no contact and kind of like see his leg kind of shake a little bit. Uh have that kind of motion. Doesn’t look great, but um we’ll see. OG is a guy who’s important to this team and if it is any sort of injury and not a cramp, I’d rather see them probably be more cautious with him. Uh I think the Knicks next game is Sunday. I think so. Sunday, then Tuesday, and I think either Friday or Saturday. We’re not going to be doing the game on Sunday. We will be doing the game on Tuesday. So, if if it is any sort of injury and not just a cramp, rather see them be more cautious with him. He’s another guy who you want um back for when the games count more. Not every game counts, but you want them for the playoffs. So Mike Brown said he went with Miles McBride in the starting lineup because Boston started the game with a smaller lineup, but you didn’t even see Hucky play at all today. That’s true. I didn’t even put that together until now. I mean, they don’t really have they didn’t play a backup center. Yoselli got some minutes at the five. Boston doesn’t really have a a big body. So, I guess the takeaway from that is Mike Brown’s willing to be flexible with his lineups depending on the matchup, which I love because the Knicks have the ability to throw out a small lineup and a big lineup. If they wanted to if they played a team like Cleveland and the Knicks were fully healthy, I think we would have seen some Towns Robinson lineups as well against Mobly and Allen. So, Jet Life for Life says, “Hey Marsh, what happened to all 82?” It’s hard to do a Knicks game and a Giants game at the same time. Um, they both play on Sunday, so probably not going to be able to get that done. Um, but hey, once the Nick Giant season is over, I could tell you we’ll do 99% of those games. 99% of those games. Alrighty, last super chat and then we’re going to bounce on out of here. My man Greg Williams, a legend. Yo, Marshall, sped up voice is hilarious. It’s not sped up. I could just read really, really fast or talk really, really fast. Right. Well, you need in order to talk really really fast, you need to read really, really fast as well. So, just a man of many talents. Knicks games, Giants games, does it all. Josh, man, a monster. He guarded everybody. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this before. 14 m 14 rebounds in 19 minutes. Mike Brown credits Josh Hart’s phenomenal performance tonight. I like that, too. It’s not always, you know, Jaylen and listen, Nick fans are smart enough to know like when guys are making impacts and they’re not necessarily scoring, but the national media is going to look at the box score, see Jaylen Brunson at 31, see Towns had 26, and that’s what they’re going to talk about. And I don’t think this was the game where Josh Hart’s probably had the most impact on some of those of those plays, but that’s what he does. And yeah, I think having a guy like him come off the bench is just a luxury. He’s a guy who would start on probably all almost every single other team. So get right. Take care of yourself, Josh. Alrighty, we are gonna bounce on out of here. Everybody enjoy themselves on Friday night. I love y’all. Appreciate you. 2 and0 82 and0 on the way. We’ll be live on Tuesday for the Knicks next game. Um unfortunately won’t be able to do Sunday. Until then, let’s go Knicks.
