Ayton played well today. The chemistry between him and Luka looked significantly better than last game, and it should continue to improve throughout the season.

  1. It’s pretty clear that he has confidence issues, so I was happy to see them draw some plays up to get him easy buckets and get his head in the game

  2. When he missed that hard ass dunk, i think he got some blood flowing everywhere and he woke up

After that Luka and AR was finding him under the basket for nice finishes (except that jumpball w dillingham)

  3. Ayton, Reaves, and the others all played well. I’ve had doubts but let me just watch and enjoy.

  4. Was lackadaisical in the first half but provided everything we were desperately needing in the 2nd half

  5. He was actually Great in that second half in all aspects of the game. I think when Luka got doubled and stretched the defense those were the best opportunities for Ayton. He’s just gotta understand certain coverages will lend to more touches for him than others.

  6. Luka said they’d establish him earlier on after not getting him much touches game 1 and they did that tonight. Idk what else people are trying to nitpick out of these 2 games

  7. He still had a couple of spots where it’s like, just dunk that rock. He’s always needing to gather down low. It’ll get better when Bron is back and he’s got three dudes setting him up.

  8. If he can consistently play like this on both ends, that’s perfect. I love what I saw tonight.

  9. Even if he can be a fraction of what AD was for us it’s enough and that’s what he was tonight. Loved it

  10. Need to get him started with some looks early.on so he has that energy for thr game. Looked great tonight

  11. Yep, I hope.the team can get him in a good place. Eventually it’s on him.

I love redemption stories – we won a title last time we had a couple of these within one team. Also this year we’ve got a bunch of guys with chips on their respective shoulders – DA being the single most important one.

  12. To me I look for the effort to evaluate this guy, and he was really trying out there. We needed a big body out there who could make a difference for us on the glass and neutralize the size of this twolves team and he did just that.

Hope he takes this game as the one to build on and replicate it more going forward.

  13. I was at the game and all his points were easy wide open dunks where the defense broke down or collapsed on Luka… BUT Gobert played like shit so maybe we have something in him with his size and athleticism. He needs to be more aggressive on a consistent basis and can easily get 15 and 12 every night

  14. I thought this sub said he was ass? The bipolar disorder with our players game-to-game is unreal. Also loved his performance though.

  15. let’s not roast the man every bad performance. let the guy gain his confidence back… we need him to get better.

  16. Last game we played Minnesota, Gobert scored 27 points and had 24 rebounds.

Last night he scored 2 and had 7 rebounds.

That was the difference between getting blown out and blowing them out,

I would say that Ayton made a solid difference last night!
