🚨BREAKING: Falcons Expected To Start Kirk Cousins vs. Miami Dolphins NFL Week 8
All right, Falcons fans. We have got some breaking news early on a Saturday morning. Moose here from Falcons today. Looking a bit disheveled this morning. I’m not going to lie. I woke up just very recently. Saw the push notification. Saw all of my phone blowing up. Adam Shfter, Ian Rapaort, Mark Rami all coming out and saying the exact same thing. Kirk Cousins is expected to start over Michael Penn Jr. this coming Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Before we break this down and what this means for everybody who’s a Pennix lover, everybody who’s not a Pennix lover, I think we can all just take a break and relax a little bit because this move isn’t necessarily about Michael Penn Jr. not being up to the task. It’s about the injury. We’ll talk about it. But before we get on with the show, make sure you hit that thumbs up icon. If you believe that Kirk Chains, Cole’s Cash Kirk can get the W this coming Sunday. I want you to hit that thumbs up icon for me. And also subscribe to the channel. We’re going to break down every single bit of Falcons news early in the morning, late at night. If there’s a trade, no matter what, you got to join the Falcons family and hit that subscribe button today. Okay, so let’s start. So the entire week we were told that Michael Pennix Jr. was expected to play, right? We knew he was limited. They limited his practice snaps and then Raheem Morris comes out uh I believe it was yesterday or I want to say late on Thursday that Kirk was getting more reps with the starting like with the first teamers essentially is what the the the news was. And then Morris kind of came out and said, well, he got a lot of late work in. So, Michael Pennix Jr. was taking the early snaps and then Kurt Cousins was taking the later snaps. So, there wasn’t a lot in that tweet that was worth reporting because we knew that Michael Pennock Jr. was going to be going was going to be questionable going into this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. We knew there was an opportunity that Kirk Cousins could get into the game as the starter if things did not progress with this bone bruise in Michael Penn Jr.’s knee. And it’s clear now that they feel that Penn is limited enough to not give them the best chance to win. That would be why you would start Kirk Cousins. Now again, like I said, I don’t want to be the one that sits up here and is telling you guys that this is the move for the rest of the year because clearly it isn’t. If you listen to Raheem Morris, if you listen to Zack Robinson and all the players in the locker room, they all believe in Penn, it’s still Penn’s team. But we obviously know that the bone bruise that he sustained, Michael Penn Jr. against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s definitely limiting his mobility for an already limitedly mo limitedly mobile quarterback if that makes sense. So clearly they feel okay if we’ve got two quarterbacks that are both limited mobility wise, right? Kirk is 37 years old. He’s not going to be scrambling outside of the pocket a crazy amount. Which one would we rather go with? the veteran that doesn’t have any injuries right now and is, you know, not in a lot of pain or Michael Pendix Jr. who would be testing the limits of his pain tolerance with that bone bruise in his knee. I think the answer is obvious to all Falcons fans that Kirk, according to the coaching staff, now has the best opportunity to lead the Falcons to victory on Sunday. And that’s what I think this is. I don’t think it’s anything more. I don’t think it’s anything less. I fully expect that after this game, win, lose, draw, does not matter, that you will see Michael Pennix Jr. starting again after the Dolphins game. I know that every single person in the Falcons media, I know that every other Falcons YouTuber and all the Falcons fans, if Kirk goes out there and absolutely lights it up against the Miami Dolphins, there’s going to be calling for Michael Penn Jr.’s job. I think we can just take a break on that for just a second. Michael Pennix Jr. is nine starts in to his NFL career. Granted, has it been as smooth as we would have hoped? No. But the offense isn’t nearly as smooth as we would have hoped, clearly. So, Zack Robinson is not doing the best job of making sure that he gets the most out of the Michael Penn Jr. offense. Is it going to look a little bit different with Kirk Cousins at the helm? Maybe Kirk is a timing and rhythm quarterback. So, Zack Robinson’s really going to have to be on his game because when Kirk has a game plan that is predicated on timing, rhythm, getting the ball out quick, making your read and firing. It’s not a lot of ad libbing. It’s very much hit your back foot, plant, step, and throw. If Zack Robinson can’t scheme things open for Kirk, then we know the problem is Zack Robinson. Does this make sense? Because if Kirk goes out there against the Miami Dolphins and he throws, you know, he’s 15 for 29 for 140 yards, one touchdown, and two picks, and the Falcons end up losing this game. I think we can all clearly note that one, Kirk’s no longer a starter, and two, if you can’t get the most out of what we consider to be the very best backup in the NFL, a bridge quarterback in my opinion, then clearly the offensive coordinator would have been the issue. But I don’t want to spend too much on negative, right? Because I know there’s a lot of Falcons fans that are like, “Okay, what does this mean for the positives for the Dirty Birds?” And I’m going to get into that right after I tell you about our friends over at Prize Picks. You and I make decisions every single day, but on prize picks, being right can actually get you paid. You don’t want to miss any of the excitement this football season on prize picks where it is good to be right. There’s a lot of cool new features on prize picks that if you haven’t checked out, you got to do so. There’s this thing called stacks now where you can basically pick the exact same player up to three times in the exact same lineup. So, for example, if you wanted to go out and pick Bejan Robinson’s rushing yards, receiving yards, and total touchdowns, you could do that now in the exact same lineup in prize picks using the new stack feature. You can also copy other prize picks players lineups directly like me. If you wanted to, you could pick the more or the less, no matter what your preference is. If you’re a glutton like me, I like to take the more on basically everything. Here’s the only thing that you know you have to do. You got to download the Prize Pix app today. You got to use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That is code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It is good to be right. So, let’s talk about why this is good for the Atlanta Falcons. I don’t want to focus too much on the negatives. Like I said, this is not a Zack Robinson or a Michael Pennix Jr. bashing episode. What this is is the coaching staff telling you, “We believe that a healthy Kirk Cousins gives us the best chance to win over the Miami Dolphins.” And this is my opinion where I kind of actually like the move from Raheem Morris. He’s not looking too much into the future. He’s looking at this week to week. And for a team that is struggling to find its offensive identity, this is a good thing if you’re playing it week by week. You ever hear that old saying where it’s like we’re just going to take things day by day at this point. When nothing’s going right, take things day by day and eventually things get worked out. I think this is the smart move from Raheem Morris. I do. I don’t think Kirk Cousins is going to go up there and light up the scoreboard. I hope he does. Believe me, nobody on this earth would be happier to see Kirk Cousins throw for 325 yards, three touchdowns, no picks. I think it would be a rejuvenating game. I think it would breathe new life into the Kirk Cousins trade rumors. I think they’re going to see teams like the Minnesota Vikings who are struggling. They’re going to be keeping a close eye on this game. This could be the very best thing not only for Kirk Cousins, but for the Atlanta Falcons as well. If Kirk goes out there and absolutely slaughters an already terrible Miami Dolphins defense, you could be looking at the the Atlanta Falcons being the subject of some major trade controversy, which again is you could look at as a good or a bad thing. Here’s what I also know. Like I told you, Kirk is a timing and a rhythm quarterback. There’s no ad libing. He’s better in play action at this point in his career than Michael Penn Jr. is. He does give the Falcons the best chance to win this coming Sunday. Now, if they were both healthy, it’s obvious you’re starting Michael Penn Jr. and you’re riding with him the rest of the way. This is Michael Penn Jr.’s team. I still fully believe in MPJ, but right now with an injured QB1, you got to go with the QB2 that is per considered the best QB2 in the league. and B is, you know, rested, rejuvenated, ready to go. So, sorry, I’m getting uh getting a couple Slack notifications here from some co-workers that are wondering if I need any help with uh the video that’s being currently made right now. No, I’m I’m all good, boys. Thank you. Appreciate it. So, before I wrap up today’s episode, I just want to make it clear that this is no longer Kirk Cousins team. I don’t think you’re going to see any quarterback controversy going forward, even if Kirk lights it up. I really don’t. I could be wrong about that. May maybe I am wrong about that. Crazier things have happened in the NFL. But this is Michael Penn Jr.’s team. Kirk Cousins getting the start expected to at least. And uh we’ll see what it looks like on the field. I’m excited. I’m really excited. I am really looking forward to seeing some Kohl’s Cash Kirk on the field this coming Sunday. It’s going to be a really, really fun atmosphere. If you’re not tuned in to our watch parties, you got to make sure you pull up because this might be the only time this season you get to see Kirk Cousins make a start for the Dirty Birds. And it is going to be electric. So, make sure you got your chains on. Make sure you’re saying you like that. you like that. And just make sure that you’re ready to watch Kirk play and beat the Dolphins. If you think Kirk Cousins can get the win, give me a yes down in the comment section down below. And remember, like today’s video, subscribe to the channel. Dirty Birds fans, I’m going to take off. I will be back later on with some more Falcons content coming your ways. But as always, in case you just tuned in at the very end of the video, Kirk expected to start playing the Miami Dolphins. We will see you on Sunday. Take it easy.

Not only dat Dats our franchise QB
Thanks for your reporting…I hope that Penix will be ready for the Pats. I wonder if we will see more play action from under center now that Kirk is playing?
Falcons about to take off! Watch! 👏🏼👏🏼
Meaningless 1pm game in October? Prime Kirko conditions
Thank god 👍🏾
I honestly don’t think this is the worst thing. Before Kirk got injured vs the saints last year he was playing at a very high level I’ll be interested to see what he looks like healthy again. I’ll be at the game RISE UP!!!!
See this is the shit I was talking about keeping kirk if kirk goes out there and throws for 500yrds and we look in sync penix will be on the bench rest of the year
Zack not using playaction from under center with Penix is criminal….
A bone bruise can be severe… This is a good idea… Ultimately they both are falcons. And winning is the priority… #family…
Raheem still coaching and Zach still calling plays for the rest of the season. Elijah Wilkinson needs to protect in passing.
In october too Will kirk cousins start his Kirktober ?
Its already proven last season, its too hard to score with Zacs offense
If we had a no name back up penix would be playing
wow, I sorta like it in this situation.
I don’t care who’s start to be honest I kno if we lose it’s over with for the front office front Morris and Robinson
Fire Raheem Morris, this wanna be dc is an incompetent failure. Fire Terry Fontenot for the cousins deal.
The falcons will lose.
About Time We get Back to the Swag! Captain Kirk……
RISE UP! 😊
Edited;
What if Kirk goes out there and tosses 6 Touchdowns to break his Record last year beating Tampa Bay? Will that change your mind?
Kirk should have started to begin with
MAN… ain't nobody stupid.. they using Penix injury as an excuse.. Raheem Morris job is on the line.. this man has been throwing everybody under the bus except for him.. this man has a smooth mouthpiece if you easy to be sold he will sell it to you… This man been selling wolf tickets 🎟️ since day one you got to see through the B.S.
😂😂😂😂😂
I think with this move means is they are just using this bone bruise of Michael Penn as a way to see how the offense is gonna look with Kirk cousins behind the center so instead of saying they’re gonna bench Michael Penn to mess up his confidence they’re using this small injury as a way to see if the off fence is smoother running with Kirk and I gotta say I’m very happy to know that Raheem Moore is more concerned about the team and winning in ball games than he is about favoritism that is a very good positive
What happens when Kirk shows out? Penix has been less than stellar and kirk could come in and really show out
I think it’s an opportunity to show the NFL ahead of the trade deadline what Capt Kirk can do against the worst team in the league
this 100 percent means that arthur blank isnt happy and raheems job is on the line.
I am very excited about this man. Thank you for covering this.
Lets see what happens. Cousins would've won that Niners game in my opinion. That mistake before half cost you. Sometimes you just gotta hit free throws. Cousins can shoot free throws
This is why teams have backup QBs. If Penix is still hurt or having trouble, then you put in your backup. I still believe Penix is the future, it just might have come a little quick. I believe Kirk can get the win this weekend.
I got a wild idea, it is very much possible Zac Robinson's elementary offensive system may have had something to do with Kirk Cousins' demise.
Two things can be true simultaneously, it is about the injury, but also possible concern about Penix abilities in a must win game. This Falcon franchise is not built on hard facts and transparency. So, what this would look like, if Cousins plays well and wins, he will continue to play and Penix will still be recovering from an invisible and secret injury. This helps the franchise save face, and avoids a Penix being embarrassed and confidence injured. Moreover, it prevents saying he was not ready when given the car keys.
Nobody wants to see Kirk???
Kirko chains for the WIN baby 💪
It’s crazy people think Kirk is better and we should win against the Dolphins. They’re 1-6!!! Come on fans!!!
