Is he going to talk us through that one? Obviously a lot of back and forth. Yeah. Um I mean we I I thought our first two pairs were really good and then uh we got into some trouble once we started overthinking the game too much. Um and uh I’ll take responsibility there on the first goal. Uh on their first goal, I made a bad play behind the net uh to our defenseman and didn’t get back. So I got to be better there. But um it’s why you play a team sport. Uh you got guys that can uh you know have your back once you make a mistake and go out there and they put two on. Um it’s a loud building. It’s it’s frustrating. Uh we get another one. They score to tie it up and uh to stay positive and to to get, you know, another one. It’s you know, yeah, it’s it’s a bad bounce, but again, I think we’ve been working really hard at getting uh getting to the right place with our game so far. And you know, this road trip hasn’t been the greatest, but to end up uh end up with a win and being able to to cap it off like that, like it’s uh it’s a great way to to end the road trip. You played with Brad in Boston and Florida. What was like to watch him get that reception and then also just have PD in your hand tonight? Yeah, it was very emotional. Um you know, Marsh, she was a guy that I looked up to when I was uh I was younger and and I got to watch play um throughout his career. So to see that tribute and to to be a part of it and seeing how emotional he was and uh the reception that he got with the fans here, the fans are amazing. Uh I can attest to it. So uh I got a little emotional as well and it was a great moment. Something I’ll never forget. I was a part of that. It was great. What do you see on your goal? Obviously a nice win and Gad get the puck to your line seem to be really uh jumping early. Yeah. Um, you know, it was a it was a good battle won by Gadge and as soon as the puck got to me, I just wanted to to get it on net. Um, you know, I think uh we get rewarded like like that as a as a fourth line. It’s it’s a great way to to show that we can contribute as well uh in the offensive zone. Thank you. What was it like watching that puck go in there at the end? I didn’t see it go in, but uh it was a nice feeling uh getting the lead late and uh yeah, that was an exciting game uh back and forth at the end. Uh and it’s nice to get a win after a couple losses. So, on that mean heading home now with a win and the trip on a high note. Yeah, it was a long long trip to start the season, but uh we’re just happy to go home, play in front of our home fans, uh get some rest. Uh schedule didn’t do us any favors this time, but uh yeah, it’s going to be nice. Obviously an emotional game and especially moment there for March. as teammates, how do you guys kind of support him in in a game like this? Yeah, it’s just fun to watch. I think you just take a take a seat and uh he’s playing Unreal out there. Uh he has so many good memories in this building and uh he’s been a part of this franchise for so long. So, uh it’s just good to kind of sit back and be a part of history a little bit. New power play units tonight. How do you think both the units looked? Some some chances for each. Yeah. Uh the power play was a little sharper tonight. Uh obviously we got one which was huge. Uh but we just want to keep on building confidence on it. Uh we had some looks and uh we just want to keep it going. Samuel gets a really big goal early on. Just you’ve seen him now since last year. What have you seen from him in terms of his growth year over year in the sophomore season? Yeah, he’s so skilled and uh he know has no knows for the net. Uh goes to the right spots and uh he can shoot the puck so well and uh every game it seems to he seems to be getting better and uh yeah, it’s awesome to see. To the Marsha moment when that’s playing out and I I think it’s hard not to be thinking what’s going on in his head right now. Yeah, for sure. There was probably a ton of emotions going through through his head. I mean, uh, yeah, he’s such a great guy and we’re so lucky to have him. I can only imagine what he meant to, uh, the city and to the fans and everything like that. And, uh, yeah, we’re just so happy to have him, by the way. It was such a cool moment. What’s he meant to you guys? Yeah, he’s awesome. Uh, he brings so much energy to the locker room. Uh, he’s such a great guy. I mean, such a good person. and you see it uh how he treats people and I mean uh yeah we’re just so lucky to have him. Thanks guys at the end. What does it mean to be heading home now and ended this trip on a high note with Well, we were grinding maybe still are um and had some twists and turns and we really liked our start. Thought that details wise we were good. Um, yeah, we did some strange things with the puck that ended up in the back of our net and we’d have to clean that up. But you get to the end of a road trip, you’re just winning on will at that point and we needed one. So, I was very happy with how he started. What does it mean to see Brad not only have the emotional net you have, but also the productive night you have on the ice? Just think what it and that’s what I can’t explain is the pass to Lucina. Just a great play, but now Lucy’s skating twice as fast as he has all year. It’s just he does something to those young men and makes them dynamic. What would you like about the power play, especially Samuel getting the one there? Well, that was it. It’s hard. Sometimes you get a power play that early in the game, you guys aren’t even warmed up. Um, but because we had come off such a tough twoame stretch on the power play to get that one, I think it also keeps the other team a little honest and and makes them aware how important their discipline is going to be. So just made, you know, those power play guys are always guys that get paid to put pucks in the net. They go a couple games, they don’t, they feel it. So they got a positive feeling coming out early in the game. And then the fourth line early on, Ger gets the goal, but it seemed like kind of like in the playoffs last year, it seemed like they were kind of driving things for you guys early. Well, they were in the right end of the ice and that’s I think they were trying so hard. They were covering so much ice that they were running out of position and they could never get a that sustained chemistry together, the five guys moving together. They were much better at that in the start. And now, like I said, headed home 44 and0. Just what’s the feeling heading home, you know, finally for for a home stand here? Everybody just wants to go home, right? It’s you get used to you you end up building your road endurance over the course of the year, but the first road trip when it’s as long as this one, everybody wants just wants to go home.
