OKC Thunder at Atlanta Hawks | Game Highlights | October 25, 2025
And you talk about the grind and grit that the Thunder showed the other night, showed the NBA what the champions can do as they were really able to answer a lot of big. And finally, it is Hartinstein as SJ first shot from the baseline and he picks up right where he left off from Thursday night. Nailed that three from the sideline. Shay’s cousin coming over from Minnesota with those back-to- back Western Conference appearances. And speaking of backto back, there is Homegr. More mobile player force him into a tough shot in the paint as Homer knocking down. Feeling good here early on. That is a pass for Hardenstein. Difficult minutes to play when you go into extra overtimes. Shay going to work in the post. Pulls up over Tyson Daniels. Tough shot. Nice finish. Thunder. Very good at getting to that painted area and finishing. Jed home. Winds up again from downtown and finds the bottom of the net. That’s already his third three. To keep him out on the floor on both ends. It’s not just about scoring with him. Plays outstanding defense. And there’s some more good defense affecting that running shot by Gay. Now, you know who did that? What was Isaiah Hartstein coming over on the rotation on defense? That’s what we’re talking about, folks. Rotate on defense. Come over, help out. And look, he makes another play on the other end. How he performed the last game. That’s confidence, which he certainly has, particularly in that outside shot. Okangu from the outside. No good. Offensive rebound inside. There is Homegrren with a block. Question, Michael, will be whether or not that can continue. over the course of the game. Nice cut. Jay Will and he’s able to lay it up and in. How about Case Wallace ripping away that offensive rebound. Setting up an extra possession. Mitchell again. Avoids the defender. Goes up. Nifty move. He’s got the Duke. Scooby-Doo has made his first appearance of the year. Oh, nice poke away. There’s a turnover. Jay Will out on the run rumbling his way to the rim for the layup. He slowed up just enough to get his mitts on that ball cuz to know exactly where he was. Young Bloodood didn’t even have to move. Oh, Cree. That might have been blocked right over to Daniels. Now Case Wallace able to take it away. There’s an Atlanta Hawks turnover. And the Thunder gets some numbers here. Wiggins takes it himself. Lays it up and in. And it was not an easy one. Shay negotiating that screen. Got all the way to the cup. That’s an easy layup by his standards. J, they called him the glove for a reason. He sold everything, I tell you. And Shay almost never has it taken away. Jay Will had to beat the shot clock. How about a Wiggins doing work on the offensive glass. Shay going up against Daniels, one of the best on ball defenders. And SJ takes a little contact, hits the deck, and now he’s going to the line. Really good looks from downtown. Consistently forcing him to put the ball on the floor. Wiggins had a bucket inside. This time he goes outside. You got a problem with left-handed or something? I was just making sure that you saw it. Oh, okay. Yeah, I did. Wow, that a tough shot there by Shay Gildris Alexander, folks. First Hawk player into double digits. Nice pass. Mitchell finds Hardenstein for another dunk. That’s his third. That was a nice pass and a nice finish. Another assist for Young. Quick release on the three. Kase Wallace splashes it home from downtown. Kind of rushed it a little bit, but a nice play by the Hawks. Shake got around Daniels left hand and he’s able to score the deuce. and to kind of piggy back back off of what Paris Dawson was talking about, but they did a good job of taking care of the basketball and not on that particular play. They only had three turnovers in the entire first half. That’s just their fourth for the game. Jet was able to take it right back as SGA goes to work on Daniels and scores the first points of the third. You’re absolutely right. He has been living off those over the course of his career. And SGA’s been living off those mid-range shots. Counted and a foul. He’s going to the line. Trey Young. Pass deflected up top and Homegrren’s able to take it away. Jen doing a good job again. Back on defense. There’s another Atlanta turnover. That’s the second time this half. Frank, you mentioned the first one of Jed getting back on defense. And this time he unleashes another three. He had four in the first half. That’s his fifth of the game. Daniels has not been getting the steals that he is used to. Shay got it back outside. Thor catch fire three. That is good from the outside as Shay set him up. That’s great hustle by the Thunder. Finding some energy to come up big. And it doesn’t get any bigger than that off of an offensive rebound. Read in the defense showing the touch, getting inside, banking it in. And Wiggins has nine points. There’s a turnover. Mitchell stepping into the passing lane. Canard can’t slow him down. And AJ Mitchell, it’s his second season in the association and he just plays like a veteran. Just never afraid of the moment. Thunder coming up big with those loose chains off the floor, folks. Good box out by Shay to bump the big guy out of the way. Shay going to work inside, stops on a dime and lays it in. I tell you, the offense is just creating those nice easy plays. Oh, a good contest at the rim. It looked like Kase Wallace got up there to try to make the block. Instead, it’s a foul. He was looking for his first as a Thunder. Had that one in the preseason, Mike. How about that? Hungry. And oh, there’s a lot of contact. That’s a take down. He got taken out. Harmstein terminates. Mitchell always navigating. What a pass inside. Didn’t even see Hardenstein coming. And he’s got another slam. How did he get the pass through? Three seconds. Mitchell dancing, driving, left hand and the finish. Early in the ball game. Grchie fell. Hongrren. No. Hornstein. Yes. Plus the foul. To get right on top of that and not let it get any more weight to it than what we just saw, folks. as the Thunder will move to 3-0 now to start the

Thunder UP!
This team might seriously be the next dynasty in the NBA. It’s not even SGA, Chet and Williams that the league has to worry about; it’s Sam Presti. His ability to find guys like Wiggins, Wallace, Mitchell etc. is the difference maker. They have the most depth in the league and it’s not even close. If they can stay healthy they will repeat.
Anyone know how long jdub is going to be out?
06:08 This call was overturned to a block after review(if you just watching hl)
Another Ajay Mitchell GOAT game
Please tell them Ajay Mitchell is second rd 38th pick. 😏
Keep pounding those 3s and we will make the Warriors look like they're STANDING STILL. AND ALL THE REST OF THE 3 OG'S!!!! That is what we keep practicing that will push our game to another SHIP no doubt! Cuz we got the ball movement team to ust and execution down pat. Bet that! My team sleying it! Proud
Mitchell is gonna end up being a Brunson like player, but better imo. Less ball hogging.
