But honestly, I think for a team like the Bulls where they are, where their expectations are in this, you know, era of switching to a younger roster and growing and developing while also trying to be competitive for real season in the league. Winning ugly is an important thing to learn for a team where hey, the Bulls had a lot of things to their advantage tonight. Yeah, Orlando was playing on the second night of a backto-back. The Bulls had two night two days of rest coming into this. This is a game that they had every opportunity and every advantage to compete in and win. And even though it was not the prettiest night for most of their key guys, Mhm. they found ways to win. You know, Matt, in the words of eight time Oscar nominated role Dominic Toretto. Doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning’s winning. That’s what it’s about. You get there and you win. Sometimes you’re gonna win ugly. We understand. This game was very, very drunk. I hope somebody took its keys and called it an Uber. It was very, very drunk. Terrible three-point shooting. The I mean, it was like the best thing about it was the third quarter when the free throw shooting was was happening because that’s when scoring was really going crazy. But they held them to under 100 points. They held the Magic to under 100 points who were putrid from the three-point line. The Bulls weren’t any better, but they were worse. Um, but the Bulls pulled out that win. I’ve seen them lose that game many a day in my tenure of being a Bulls fan with this regime and this kind in this uh these players on this team. But they pulled this one out, man. And everything about it, guys said that they shouldn’t be winning this game. And the Magic definitely, you know, said, “Well, we can be worse.” They were bad. They were really bad. And we’ll get into that. But winning is winning and you got to get to 2 and 0. That’s the only way you can do it. And it doesn’t say how you have to win. It doesn’t say, “Hey, you got to be pretty to get to two and 0. Hey, you gotta blow them out to get to two and 0.” No, just win. That’s what it’s about. And in the words of the great late Al Davis, just win, baby. And they won the game. Two and0 are the Bulls, baby. Going to the Hawks next. I’m with it. Two and0 is what it’s about. You here to win or not? Yeah. Only Ask the question. Only six remaining 2 and 0 teams in the entire NBA. Bulls are one of them. One will be crowned depending on what happens in the 76ers Hornets matchup which has about eight minutes to go. But the Knicks, the Bulls, the Bucks, one of those two teams, the Spurs and the Thunder, only two and 0 teams in the entire league. And you know, I one thing I respect about the way that this Bulls team is built out and the way that they’re playing right now is that they’re not like dependent on one thing happening for them to win every night. We kind of diversified their identity a little bit in a way that I think is really important when you don’t have the overwhelming best talent on the floor. That’s true. The Magic, they’ve got Paulo, they’ve got Fron. Obviously, you bring in Bane, but like Paulo did his thing tonight. He had 24 and 10. Yeah. Um Fron was okay. Didn’t He’s having like a weird shooting thing going on. Um but 17 points for him. It was just that they shot three of 24 and even though they got to the free throw line 27 of 33 which is a ton of attempts and they had a ton of offensive rebounds, they just didn’t have enough because the rest of their game wasn’t really working. Meanwhile, the Bulls like they struggled from three. They started hitting them in the fourth quarter but only 10 of 27. That’s a really low number for them. They had a lot of free throws, not nearly as many as the Magic. They were 22 of 29. Uh the Magic had more offensive rebounds and yet the Bulls were still able to win by 12 points. Um a lot of that was because of the defense um and holding the Magic 2, not as many threes and a lot of that was the transition stuff, but but I think also just like the steadiness of Trey Jones and VH having them out there to run pick and roll down the stretch, getting some big shots from IO. Um, but just overall their ability to like win in different areas of the possession battle and that they’re not like overloading on some and completely punting on others that allows them to remain competitive even if one isn’t really working for them. And you see a team like the Magic where they struggle if their three-point shooting isn’t working because they just don’t really have any other way to help keep them afloat. And so I think that’s a good sign for the Bulls. I mean Modest did not play well. Only three points fouled out in 12 minutes one of five. Auroro still has not scored. He was 0 of six. Giddy um you know he he put up some points 21 um on seven of 18 shooting but was minus 10. Single game plus minus is not like the beall end all but when you compare that to Trey Jones who was plus 17 it’s a huge difference and it just goes to show how steady he is and how Billy trusts him to be the one with the keys down the stretch of games while Giddy was on the bench. Yeah, exactly. And it was down the stretch of this game and then also in a good chunk of that second quarter when it was four of the Bulls benchmob players playing with Trey Jones out there still running things and the Bulls were down big. I I can’t remember if it got to double digits but close to it. They were trailing by eight or nine at least. And then very similar script we’ve seen in preseason games um and also to a certain degree on Wednesday. Bench comes in. Yeah. Gives the Bulls a shot in the arm and things start turning the other way. And you know, you you mentioned Trey Jones go and and obviously we do want to talk about the Bulls bench tonight because they came up huge. But I think we keep getting these signals from Trey Jones himself and from Billy Donovan that Trey Jones is one of the best, if not the best player on this team right now. I don’t think that’s hyperbole and Billy Donovan trusts him like and he was making plays on both ends of the floor. like we uh I think we can credit the Magic’s Bricks for being the defensive player of the game for the Bulls tonight. Uh as I predicted earlier this week, but Trey Jones had what? Four steals, five steals. Like he had he had a four by five. Yeah. 13, five, eight dimes and five steals. Um you know, he he did also have three turnovers. So you don’t love that. But it’s just like anytime the Bulls needed to make a play, it seemed when the they were letting go of the rope a little bit or or the the Magic were coming back a little bit, there was Trey Jones making something happen on either end of the floor. Yeah, your two best players so far for the Bulls right now have been Trey Jones and Billy Donovan. Those have been the best players for the Bulls, man. Uh Trey Jones again, that’s why I’ve call passed him the title of South to Trey Jones. And he knows when to do it. If you watch this game, you saw him trying to do it again when things were trying getting close and the Magic uh got the lead back down in that third quarter. Watch Trey Jones because he was trying to be more aggressive and getting to the basket instead of running the offense. He was like, “Oh no, we need somebody to put the ball in the bucket right now. I’m going to try to do that.” But it’s just the way that he facilitates and the way he can calm things down and the way that he plays in that half court and the way that he disrupts what’s going on on the other end with those five steals. He als he he had the five steals, but it was many plays where he just disrupted what they were really trying to do on offense and and not having a point guard out there for them that, you know, was steady for Orlando played right into the hands of a guy like Trey Jones, man. But just being a plus 17, like I I was telling uh the guys like when I look at plus minus, plus minus matters to me. When I look at my point guard and when I look at a star, that’s when plus minus matters to me. And looking at Trey Jones being a plus 17. I guarantee you Billy Donovan saw that out there and the drool came out of the left side of his mouth because he was excited about that. Man, Trey Jones is exciting to watch if you just like to watch point guard play and guys who just know the position, especially on the offensive end and how to run it and where to be and how to be there and who needs the basketball next and when to go score and when to pass it and when to get it to somebody when he sees them cutting. Does all of those little things because the Bulls don’t really have that guy and now they got it in a guy like Trey Jones, man. Like, and watching him out there with I Dumu was awesome to see. It was just really cool, man. But Billy Donovan is going to play them. He’s going to get them out there. He’s going to get those opportunities and he deserves them because he has just been awesome for the Bulls. Kyle Williams in the chat. Trey Jones is a damn thief. Lol. South MU. Trey Jones is going to be major factor for this team all year. Uh Thomas Banks, I was so happy when we resigned Trey Jones. Um, and look, I think the other fascinating part of this, seeing the how well Trey has played tonight, also was a big factor in their win on Wednesday. Goat, we uh we heard the mention on the broadcast tonight, we’re still a week, week and a half away from the re-evaluation of Kobe White, and we’re hoping that we get good news when that day comes. And if Kobe White is back in this team’s, you know, active roster and presumptively starting lineup when he comes back, I I right now have a hard time seeing Billy Donovan significantly cut Trey Jones’s minutes because Kobe White comes back. So then it becomes who like where do those minutes go? Cuz it’s not like you’re only going to play Kobe like 20 something minutes a night. No, he’s one of your star players. He’s going to play heavy minutes. He’s going to start. But you see what Trey Jones is doing for this ball club. I do think Kobe’s going to have a minutes restriction when he comes back. So this won’t be something that he Billy needs to figure out right away, right? But I mean it’s hard to deny like one thing about Billy is that he’s going to play who he feels is playing well tonight. They closed with Patrick Williams out there tonight. What a great game. We’ll talk about him more. Um but obviously like Modis and Giddy were on the bench. It was I think it was uh Herder was out there, Patrick, Trey, Vu, and IO. And so like Billy’s been very clear that he’s going to play who’s playing well. And some of it may be predicated on the matchups and who they’re playing against. So would it surprise me if Trey continues to play high 20s, low30s minutes? Absolutely not. I just wonder whose minutes are those going to be coming from. Is it going to be Kobe getting a few minutes shaved off of his? Is it going to be Giddy? Um and maybe that could be the answer. I mean, we saw that literally tonight where Trey was the one on the floor and and Giddy wasn’t. Um, I also think like Herder and Patrick, those are kind of going to be fluid situations. You’ll see Modis back in there obviously. Um, but it’s just an interesting decision that Billy I think is just going to have to feel out on a game by-game basis, but it’s a good problem to have. It is, I think, a bigger picture question of like, well, what is this roster looking like big picture and longer term if the two guys that you’re building around the most, Giddy and Mattis, were on the bench? Obviously Modis felled out. Um Giddy I don’t think played poorly. It’s just I think he trusted Trey more. He wanted more defense and shooting around him. Um but like what does that say about your team long term and and how you’re going to build if you know the vouch Trey Jones pick and roll is what you’re building around in clutch moments. And uh Dave John in the chat saying Giddy can move to the three with Trey and Kobe at one two. I think the other part of that and we can dive more into that on the other side of the break coming up in a second but the other part of that equation is Kobe comes back hopefully soon. You love what you’re getting from Trey Jones. Billy Donovan trusts Trey Jones. He wants to close with Trey Jones on the floor. Yes. And simultaneously, Isaac Aoro has scored zero points through his first two regular season games in his Bulls career. Do you see Billy go, you know what, Kobe, Dre, Josh, Masch? That’s my five. Let’s see what that looks like. until Isaac Aoro decides that part of basketball does involve putting a basketball into a basketball hoop. I mean, if you’re talking I’m sorry. Like, but dude, he’s got zero points in two games. No score. That’s just hilarious. Shout out Drake Kirby. But, dude, like having having all these guards just allows Billy the option to do what you saw him do today. So, when you see Kobe come back, it will allow him more optionality out here. So, if Trey Jones is struggling, guess what? He’s going to sit. If Giddy is struggling, guess what? Trey is going to play and Giddy’s gonna sit. Io, you saw uh uh Giddy about to come back into the ball game and then I Dumu hit a three and then Billy was like, “No, no, come on. Come on back here. Come on back here.” I was just playing. Come on, have a seat with me. So, it’s going to be situational and it’s not going to be just dependent on Giddy. And that’s a good thing. And for the future, I don’t know. But for right now, it’s a good thing to have that optionality because it works for you. Well, think about like what Billy was trying to build around it. As I mentioned, the Trey Vouch pick and roll. You want defense and spacing around that. Like Kobe obviously gives you the spacing, but he’s not really giving you the elite defense. ARO is obviously not giving you the spacing, but he’s giving you the defense. Patrick was doing both tonight. Credit to him. Herder was doing both tonight. Credit to him. So, I do think you’re right that it’s going to be situational, but at the same point, like it’s just it’s going to be hard to have Giddy and Trey out there if you’re trying to run the offense through Trey and have Giddy spacing the floor because he’s also not giving you much in the way of defense. It’s true. We got to knock out our first ad break right there. Still plenty to dive into from tonight’s Bulls win over the Magic. Thanks for being with us on a Saturday night, Bulls Nation. Uh so all right gentlemen the Bulls tonight shout out to that bench. U you know we mentioned already some of the things that we’ve seen from them. Iodumu huge threes in the fourth quarter. What he hit three fourth quarter threes to kind of you know keep the the magic at bay when they were threatening to come back into that game. Um and he was one of several polls with big games off the bench. Lee 12 five and five. I saw somebody in the chat remarking about that earlier like, “Holy crap, Pat Williams had a 125 and five night. Oh my god.” And how about Jaylen Smith? Yeah. Who re, you know, rebounded very respectably. Kudos to him from an awful night, I thought, on Wednesday in the opener. Like I thought Jaylen Smith was just duty. Yeah. In that game against the Pistons, but shout out to him for the way he responded with 16 points off the bench on a very efficient six of eight. knocked down both of his three-point attempts after he was chucking up all kinds of bricks on Wednesday. And uh I mean every like four Bulls bench players in double figures. I believe they had 58 total bench points. Oh man, the bench outscored their starters. That’s crazy. So you know I don’t I don’t know what you think about that, Dave, because I saw somebody in the chat just a minute ago mentioning the Bulls bench mob. Yeah, I referred to it as the bench mob in our tweet with our show link as we were getting ready to start postgame. Bulls fans look back on, you know, the D Rose of like variations of the bench mob. Shout out to the Kyle Corvers and the Omera Chic of the world, but like is is this real? That’s what I want to know. We’re only two games in. Yeah. But is AK’s theory that he has posited publicly that the Bulls, while they may not have any of the league superstar caliber players, are going to be one of the deepest teams in the league this year. I tell you what adds to uh his point. It’s not just the two games. It’s because this isn’t new or anything we’ve seen different from what happened in the preseason. This is exactly what we saw. They come out, the starters start off slow, they get off to a bad start, they go down, here comes Io Dumu and the bench and the rest of the Calvary come into the game. They get everything back going and get the Bulls back the lead and keep it steady. The difference was now uh in the regular season the bench just being in there much longer, you know, and that not going back to the starters and just rolling with that. Giddy being on the bench is a great point uh of that. But they have been outstanding the entire preseason and has continued in these two games that we have seen. He was even more so in this one as you mentioned. They outscored the starters out there and I mean key huge buckets. IO Dumu. Those two threes were colossal. Like massive. Shout out to my man Joey Spatis. How about Pat? Really impressive little baby hook in the lane in the fourth quarter. You going to get it started on Lee? The Bulls needed that bucket. That was a big bucket. Huge bucket. Lee hit a bunch of huge buckets tonight. The activity of Lee. Did you see the sweat dripping? Did you see it falling off the chin on the floor? He was at the free throw line. Did you see him diving on the floor getting loose balls? A towel. Oh man. And he looked at it and said, “What is this?” And he threw it into the stands. I don’t need it. I want the sweat. What? Go like a turbo vet. He was amazing out there, man. To sit there and watch him like just be Lee. Just go ahead and be Lee. And he didn’t let the mistakes get to him. Yo, he didn’t he didn’t let the mistakes get to him. Something we’ve seen in the past definitely happen. When it goes bad, he just, you know, says, “Now, forget it.” No. And you saw him out there just, you know, pumping up teammates and doing things like that, like just being active on defense. I’m not saying he’s a world beater on defense, but just being active, man. We know. And Matt, you’ve said this a million times. You just want to feel him when he’s out there on the floor. You want to know he exists. You want to know the post is there and the heart is pumping and the arteries are all good. You just want to know he’s okay. And we’ve seen that in the preseason and we’ve seen it in these back-to-back games from the one Lee Patrick. I’m very happy for him that he’s playing this way. Yeah. 12 points for him. Five of seven shooting, five rebounds, five assists, which is awesome to see, and two steals. And the thing I liked about Patrick’s game today was like he was so aggressive in like trying to get seals and posting guys up on switches. They had him in screening actions. He would roll and just like get a really good seal and they’d find him. I mean, they were finding Vu in the post. they were really attacking those mismatches down low and giving him an opportunity to get points at the rim. Like when he’s trying to do too much like get, you know, get the ball up in transition, um if he’s like trying to create off the dribble, it doesn’t typically go well. But if you can get him easy shots in the flow of the offense or possessions where he feels like he’s like, you know, you’re you’re catering to catering to his skill set, I think that’s where he’s at his best. And obviously he’s not going to play this well every night. Um I mean, maybe he can maybe there is a level of consistency that he can get to. That would be great. But I think like to to circle it back to this question of like the Bulls depth being their strength. I think you can’t expect all these guys to be like consistently this good every time. Right now Kobe’s not even in the rotation. He’s going to get a lot of minutes. Zack Collins um is the backup center. We don’t know what will happen to Jaylen Smith when that happens. But you’re you’re probably not going to get like elite play from all these guys every single night. But I do think there’s something to be said for like this idea of needing consistency. And maybe you can just find like eight or nine guys among the 11 or 12 or 13 that you have who will give you those consistent minutes for 48 and then you can build that way. And you know, maybe it’s Patrick one night, maybe it’s Denon Terry or Julian Phillips the next, it doesn’t really matter. But if Billy can kind of find the hot hand and whoever is playing well, if that person can be consistent for one night and then even if he’s not consistent again the next night, but somebody else steps in, I think that’s kind of the the big advantage that you have with depths is that depth is that you’re not relying on the same guys who are relatively inconsistent players to be there playing consistently every single night. You you just said something I just kind of broke half of my brain because I didn’t think about it. But the words Patrick Williams and consistency being used like together in the same sentence is something I haven’t said. You know what I’m saying? In a very long time, Matt. Like, and I’m like, yeah, unless the sentence is Patrick Williams has never shown us consistency. Yes. Correct. There’s your sentence. Thank you. Yeah. Can you use consistency in this sentence, please? Uh, need help. But in the preseason, he was consistent somewhat. Like you were like, “Oh, okay. He’s he’s giving me some effort.” In these two games, he’s played the same. Like, like whether it’s been 12 points or eight point or whatever, he’s played the same. And again, I’m I’m don’t want to make like overdo this, you know what I mean? Because this is like 12 points and four rebounds and whatever. That’s a level that he wasn’t at before. Exactly. That’s exactly the point. Yes. We didn’t see this. And so now seeing it and it’s like wait because could this be something that we could say oh man we could kind of put it in let’s start with crayon. Can we put it in crayon that this dude could come out and actually get eight points 10 points three or four rebounds a few assists and play some defense. If we can start there with that we got ourselves a stew and young Lee Patrick man. Oh my god. This is my that that really broke half my brain like for real cuz I it’s like dang he’s right using that together Matt in that kind of sentence in that kind of way. It can be a thing for Lee Patrick to be consistent on the floor and not just a liability on the floor which is honestly what he has been for several seasons for this team. I’m just happy it’s starting to look like something go. Yeah, it all comes down to like the effort and I think understanding the role too. like he’s not floating around the court anymore the way that he used to. And again, we’re talking about a handful of preseason games in which he looked really good. And these two regular season games, I think he’s been solid. I think playing to a role is a good place to start. And maybe he expands beyond that one day, maybe not. But like, can you just get to a level of consistency within what they’re asking you to do and maybe have a game, you know, where you put up some numbers and maybe you’re just giving good defense, maybe you’re just helping move the ball. There were still some mistakes. There were the turnovers. Um, but I just think that there’s a level of like how do you cater to his skill set and try to, you know, pull that effort out of him? That’s a challenge. But how how can you pull that out of him in a way that allows you to get production from him, even if it’s in a smaller role? And I think Billy’s kind of starting to figure that out or or Patrick is really. I mean, Billy’s Billy has been finding different ways to do that all along, but this this particular one just seems to click. Uh, a person from the north of Cali in the chat saying, “When Pee Will pulled up for a transition three, my stream broke?” Yeah. Is Is my stream what you call your brain? Because my brain broke when I saw Pat do that as confidently as he did. And when’s the last time you saw Pat pull up for a transition three off the dribble? Incredible. Like, uh, never never, which is crazy. And confidently. Uh, yeah. Timothy White, we need uh P to play like this consistently this season. uh 40 point saying in the chat. I think a big thing about Pat’s game tonight is he stood up to Paulo pretty well physically. Aoro was getting bullied by him. Yeah. Uh and Believer chiming in with when Zack Collins comes back. This benchmob will get even scarier. And you know that that is a good point because we showered some praise on Jaylen Smith a minute ago and you know do praise like huge game for him off the bench. Great response after a poor game on Wednesday. Zack Collins going to be out for the next month at least. We’ll see how the the wrist fracture heals, but you know, Billy went 10 deep tonight. 11. Well, so technically 11. Dale and Terry played two minutes uh in in the second quarter. Um it was second quarter, right? Yeah, I believe so. And then so but even still, that was an increase from their game on Wednesday night when he went technically nine deep, but really had an eight-man rotation. Correct. Because Don Terry also played in that one, but played a very limited number of minutes. We also saw uh Billy change things up with um Kevin Herurder being the sixth man off the bench tonight and then we saw Julian Phillips before we saw Dale Terry. Yes. So I think we’re going to see Bill Billy Donovan continue to tinker with his the back end of his rotation. But then when you get Kobe back then then how does that you know ripple effect down to everything else? But I mean tonight like Billy’s problem is a good problem to have when you have this many of your bench guys contributing to winning. Yeah. And and Jul you mentioned Julian Phillips like Yeah. I know one of y’all I saw Corn Pop talking about him as well in the chat. Yes. I the minutes he gave the Bulls are big. Like those 50/50 balls, those loose balls. Like he was coming up with basketballs that weren’t even his. Like it was like Orlando was getting them. He was taking them from them and putting it back into the bucket and scoring. Like he was incredibly active and truly showing why Matt named him DJ JJ because he was in full effect with that. at the athleticism that he have, you know, the speed that he also plays with, ability to run and field the lanes, but just being a disruptor, you know, especially on the rebound. He is a disruptor when it comes to getting the rebound, whether it’s offensively or defensively, and I thought he did a really good job in the time he was given tonight. All right, let’s knock out our second ad break right there. Still plenty more to get to from tonight’s game. They’re 17 and five since last year. Look at that. Oh, wow. Excluding excluding the playin. Excluding the plan. Yeah, postseason games don’t count. Postseason games don’t count at the record. We don’t play in tournament L to the Heat. Which one? Which time? I forget. Part four. Hey. Uh, no. But Vibes are Vibes are fun tonight. Speaking of winning streaks, the Chicago Bears Bears also on a winning streak. It’s all we do now in Chicago is win no matter what no matter what. The answer is go on down to Joe’s on We Street and hang out with CHO Bears and your fellow die hard Bears fans. Going on down to Joe and weaing bada boom. That’s what you do on we uh shout out to our friend Kimberly who threw us aim $20 super chat. Kimberly, you are the best. Yes, you are. $20 for 2 and 0. Bulls win. Bulls win. So happy we are in the regular season. That’s right. These these wins count, y’all. They do. They mean something. They count. Five and two, including the preseason. That’s it. Look at that. Look at that. Uh doing extra work for no reason. Every every little bit also counts when it comes to super chat. So, thank you, Kimberly. Everybody else out there in Bulls Nation got a few bucks to spare. Toss them our way. Um, so gentlemen, this is uh like I think there’s things to be encouraged about and then also some reality checks. You know, bench was huge tonight. Modest I I don’t even feel like we need to talk about Modest that much tonight. It’s not a reality check game. It’s just like, hey, let’s remind ourselves. Secondyear player, he’s gonna have nights where he accidentally gets into foul trouble and does so too quickly and that throws a whole wrench in his game. I mean, he played 12 minutes tonight. There was some weird stuff like they couldn’t figure out if he had two fouls or three fouls. Billy took him out. They took one of his fouls off the board. Then Billy took him back in. Then they put the foul back on Modis and then he took him back out. Like it was just a weird chaotic night for Modis and that’s unfortunate, but it’s one game, you know? I’m I’m I’m not panicking that Modis fouled out and and played 12 minutes tonight. I’m not panicking by any means either. I think any like big picture hard takeaways from any of this is like probably not super wise just given the small sample that we’re working with. But I do think it’s a good reminder of what Dave and I were talking about and Matt when you were calling in on the go talk TM um the other day of like he’s still a young player. he still has not arrived as Billy Donovan was talking about and there’s things that he needs to do and go through that are going to eventually help him get to the point where he will get to um in terms of reaching his potential. And so I think that like I’m not concerned about this game. He had some fouls. He had a tough matchup. Um, but I do think it was like a good just reset game for him where he’s like not not to say he’s riding high in this, but like for everybody else who’s watching him, very excited about the potential. Very excited about the scoring in preseason in the first game, 21 points. Like, okay, there’s going to be some bumps in the road. It’s not going to just be a line going straight up. It’s going to be ups and downs and and that’s okay. That’s a part of it. Um, and I think that that’s true for everyone here, too, right? Like, we can notice some trends. We can speak to the things that are, you know, that we’re seeing over time. Uh but guys are going to have good or bad games. That’s same with Aoro. He had a poor shooting night. Um these last two games like I don’t expect him to not make a shot or score any points for the rest of the year. I expect him to bounce back at some point. But this has been the trend that we’re dealing with so far. And so that’s I think what’s worth pointing out. One of my favorite things Goat says is success is not linear. And I think of that when you see modest have games like this. I don’t think it bother me at all. Of course, winning, you know, helps for sure, but I don’t think what I saw made me say, “Oh, no.” You know, I’m so worried and concerned. It was like, “Oh, okay. He had an off game.” You know, you kind of figured it was going to be a struggle because again, their best players are playing a position that Modest was plays. Now, he’s going to have to get better for sure because a lot of players play that position that are really good. Hello, Kevin Durant. Um, so he’s going to have to deal with that as it goes along. But I it just didn’t bother me, you know, like if I saw it as just him being bad out there, maybe I’d feel different. But I just kind of feel like that’s just kind of how the game kind of went for him. And I was okay with that, you know, and fouling out. I mean, his his last foul, we watched him walk in the game and then immediately he got that foul and he was out of it was grand opening, grand closing, so it was very quick for him, man. So yeah, it’s okay to have that kind of game. Guys who play that kind of defense are going to get those calls. We saw some, you know, questionable calls on him for sure. But overall, Joey C, I don’t think I was too upset with how he played. Yeah. My question for the group was I’m trying to make sense of it, too. And I don’t know whether to like back burner or backfile this or not, but in your guys opinion tonight when we talk about the Orlando looking like some, you know, roided out freakazoid. Yes. But he’s got a bit more muscle on his frame. You can tell and you can tell some of the possessions where he’s put the ball on the floor, his shoulder down and attacked the basket that he is stronger than he was his rookie year. But there are still players in the NBA that especially when you are in the early stages, the infancy of your NBA career, who are bigger and stronger than you are. Yeah. Enter Paulo Banker. That dude is made of muscle on muscle on muscle. And look, I think Mis held his own respectably a couple of times against Pow tonight. It didn’t matter who the Bulls threw at Paulo. I saw, you know, uh, Aoro get work by him. I saw Pat got work worked by him. I saw Modis get worked by him. Just about everybody. And he, it’s not like he had a monster game because he wasn’t efficient. Seven of 21, but just from a physical standpoint, Modis and plenty of his teammates got, you know, made to look not the fool, but weak by Paliban Carro. But that’s that’s, you know, an allNBA caliber player who’s one of his best attributes is his strength. Yeah. So, I’m not worried about that specifically with Modis. It just like there were a couple of just like youth dumb fouls like he had that loose ball foul early on that I think was his second where he was, you know, going after a loose ball and he’s the one that ends up getting tagged with a whistle when there was just contact during players going after a loose ball. I would be hardressed to believe that the foul trouble did not impact him in other facets of the game, right? Like you’re playing a little bit more like tight. you can’t make you’re not playing as freely. And I think one thing that Billy says that has stuck with me from over the last couple years is like when you look at great players, you like think about batches of 10 games and they maybe have one game that’s not good and everything else is consistent. That’s what it takes to be like a consistent highle player in this league is to be good 90% of the time. Nine out of 10 games you’re playing up to your level or better and you know ideally even more than that. But like this is one of those games for Modis where it’s like he’s gonna have to learn how to play through foul trouble. He has not had to do that before. Yeah. So this is a learning experience for him. I do think the league is more physical than he is right now. I do appreciate the fact that he uh is not afraid of it. He goes into contact. He leans into the fight, but he’s still a lot thinner than Fran Vagner, let alone Palibono. And so he’s going to have to adjust to that. That will take time. I’m not worried about that. But I do think this is a good learning experience for him to have to go through how do I play with three fouls in the first nine minutes or four I think he had four fouls in nine minutes of play. How how do you manage that and and what do you have to do once that happens to keep yourself in the game so that you can still be consistent uh both defensively and offensively? And he just hasn’t had that experience yet. So I think this was a good learning experience for him. I’m not worried about him long term. He is going to have to grow, but like this is the kind of thing that like everybody in the league has to learn how to deal with and he just hasn’t had to do it yet. So this is a great time, you know, no no time like the present in terms of learning that. That’s true. Um yeah, and it’s okay like and I think that’s why it’s it’s I think it’s okay also because everything isn’t just heaped upon him uh right now. Like he is, you know, we do have him as our basketball savior. Uh for sure, but everything isn’t heaped upon him to be it right now from game one. That’s exactly a point I wanted to make to like it’s it’s not on him right now from game one to do it. you understand there’s still a learning curve, you know, for him. We get that. And this is what it looks like. You know, it’s going to be jagged. You know, it’s going to be rugged. There’s going to be peace. There’s going to be valleys. There’s going to be ups. There’s going to be downs. That’s just what it is. And that’s okay. You know, cuz who knows what he’ll look like next game. So, he’s getting the best of what teams have to offer now, which is a compliment to me in my eyes. So, it’s a compliment and it’s a it’s an honor and it’s something that you should look at as respect. When your name goes up on that whiteboard, on the opponent’s whiteboard, it’s respect. When you see how coaches are trying to defend you differently, it’s respect. When Billy Donovan has you out there against their best player, it’s respect. You know what I mean? Like, that is respect. So, it’s something and respect is earned. It’s some not given. It’s earned. And some guys it takes, you know, from the beginning they they earn it or some guys it takes a few years for him to earn it. You know, it is everybody is different, but he’s doing it the right way right now. And it’s okay. And it’s completely fine how he’s doing it. I expect him to have a solid game in the next game, whether it’s on the offense or defensive end. Either way, I expect him to have a a solid game. But it’s something he can learn from. like every every ref isn’t gonna call it right for you, you know? How do you play through that? As Goat said, um, how do you get through the mistakes? How do you We seen him play through like, oh, somebody hurt my ankle. He played through that. You know what I mean? He’ll play through that pain. How do you do it when you’re going three for 12? What do you do? You know, what do you decide to do and find those other things to do on the floor to still help the basketball team? Cuz you are still vitally important to the Bulls and their success this season. They just happened to have a really uh they just happened to have a win. I’m not going to say a really great game. They just happen to have a win tonight where he wasn’t, you know, truly involved in what was going on within that win. But there are going to be other games where he’s going to have to be involved in that victory for the Chicago Bulls to continue to move forward as a team. I’m I’m really glad you said that because it was a point that I forgot that I also wanted to make which is circling back to what I said at the beginning of the show about the Bulls having different ways that they can win and they’re not putting so much on Modus that they need from him every night. They’re putting more responsibility on his plate. They are asking him to do a little bit more, but they’re not saying we need to win because you had a great game every single night. That’s too much. That’s too much for anyone player on this team right now. And so that’s why they were able to still win. and they’re able to do some other things, but it’s a good position for Modis to where he can contribute to winning, he can be involved in that, and oftent times they’re going to need stuff from him in order to get to that point, but they can also be successful even if he has a bad game because they’re doing all these other things. So, I think that’s a good like next step up in his development, a next step up in his development compared to last year where it was like you’re just kind of we’re bringing you along slowly. Billy’s going to yank you out of the rotation if you are like not, you know, boxing out or whatever it may be. And now it’s like, okay, a little bit more on your plate, but we’re still not like throwing it all on you. And maybe next year it’s another step, and then after that it’s another step, and now you’re really getting to a point where he’s driving everything. That’s the ideal, but for now it has to be more like how can you contribute to the bigger picture? Uh along similar lines, uh a person from North Cali in the chat just said, “I feel like a Jimmy progression, I assume you mean Butler, that took a few years to being an all-star is more likely than a D Rose progression, like working on one area of his game at a time.” And um G Manifesto Manifesto saying, you know, I would love a monster step like being a borderline all-star uh in response to Ellsworth Music saying, “It isn’t just this. This isn’t the season for expectations for Modis just get better. Uh like that’s still an expectation. Yes. Like for like I think I think that’s just the low bar expectation that Bulls fans will have with for Modis. Even those Bulls fans who are worried or timid about putting too many or too much expectation on the young man shoulders this season. They would still be disappointed if he doesn’t look like a better basketball player. Yeah. Come next April. Yeah. Than he did on Wednesday. Yeah. Right. like get better, sure, but the the arc of that progression, I think, is something that a lot of Bulls fans are harping on because I think a lot of Bulls fans feel that what that arc and trajectory looks like for Modis will determine a lot more about not just Modis’ career success, but this team success. Yeah. Like it’s hard to divorce those two things from one another. Yeah. There’s a difference between looking like a bad player and having a bad game. Yeah. And he didn’t look like a bad player. It just looked like he had a bad game. And that’s okay. Like those things happen. I don’t care who you are. Those things are going to happen in any profession that you’re doing. You’re gonna have a bad day. Had a bad day. Like those things are going to happen. And it’s just about how you recover and rebound from them. Like not every game is going to be perfect. Not every game is going to be the greatest unless you’re Jordan. But it’s okay. It’s all right because you get to make up. It’s why I love basketball so much because you get to make up for it immediately and you get to find out and go back into it in another day or two. Like you don’t have to sit for a whole week with whatever happened to you. No, you you can put it out your mind because there’s another game coming up that we that is just as important as the last one we just played. So, he’ll have those opportunities like I said to write the ship and and to be a little better, man. And then maybe one day he’ll be able to go home with a coveted Goon of the night award. You think so? Maybe he could. He He He got a couple last season, didn’t he? He got a couple. He got a couple, but he ain’t got one this year. Joey C. I’m going to need you to hit that for me one time with you, sir, because win. Okay. Okay. All right. that. But I’m talking goon of the night stuff over here now, sir. I’m going to need you to play that. Give me a second. I’m doing I’m ensuring that the audio is the top-notch quality that we all expect here with Chill Bulls. And again, if anyone’s having audio issues, please just refresh the page. There you go. It’s not on our end. It is currently on YouTube. So, just refresh the page and the audio should be better. Silly YouTube, but shout out to the uh to to the group for helping out the rest of the class members whose audio is struggling in the chat there. That’s very kind. Way to work together, Bulls Nation. That’s very kind. Is he trying to imply that there are things that are more important than Goon of the Night? I think that’s what he just kind of said. I think that’s what he said. I’m not sure. I mean, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he doesn’t understand, man. The chat will riot. You know what I mean? They want their goon tonight, and I want to give it to him. And they desperately wanted tonight, especially those who were hanging out with us in postgame on Wednesday cuz they had to watch you give that award to my dumb ass, which was incredibly deserving. Go read the comments, too. They were like, “Yeah, Matt absolutely deserved Gahuna of the night. I know what I’m doing uphill with.” But I think I think tonight, especially winning ugly, you you got to give go of the night to a player who was out there making sure the Bulls won in a game where they had to win ugly. We’ll see. Or can the rims of what what’s the Magic Stadium called? Whatever Magic Stadium something arena center th those rims might get my vote for [ __ ] of the Night. They might get it cuz they were not kind to the home team. You’re right. I loved I loved it. Shout out to Bricks. Shout out to the Bricks. Okay, I’ll tell you what. We going to go ahead and we going to give it out while Joey searches for that. I’mma still hand out that goon of the night award. Y’all know how it works here. You know how it goes down. Doesn’t have to be the best player. Doesn’t have to be the worst player. Does he have to be a player? It’s just what you feel about be what was very goonly that happened around the Chicago Bulls game. Will goly. We usually start with you on the go talk hotline. So we will continue that brought to you by Michelobra. Will the goat leave sir? Who is your goon of the night? I’m deciding between a couple people. Okay. Do I have to give an answer or can I talk you through my thought process? Talk me through. Okay. Number one number one uh person I’m thinking about is Patrick Williams. Okay. Lee Patrick Williams as you said. Shout out. Um just a really solid game from him. I like the assist, but just the physicality is not something that we’ve seen. Like the impact on the game, his presence, his physicality. I thought he played really well. Um I also kind of want to give it to Billy because he again benched the hundred million dollar man at the end of the game. He did. I was just talking with uh somebody and they were like telling me what Billy was saying after the game, one of the other reporters, and he basically was just kind of like leaning on the IO had it going. And I think that speaks to what you talked about of like Giddy was getting ready to go in, he hit the three, I hit the three, and then Billy sat Giddy back down. But I just think that that’s like kind of a a strong power move from a coach to not be afraid of benching the dude who just signed for $100 million. That’s real. The second biggest contract in franchise history. That’s real tough. Huge. On October 25th. On October 25th because you want to win a game. I think that’s pretty I think that’s pretty goonly. I think I’m going to go with Billy. I talked myself into it. All right. All right. Thank you for allowing me that space. It’s what I’m here for. Go. It’s uh it’s a solid it’s a solid nomination. I am not going to nominate the rims at the Magic Arena as much as I kind of want to cuz I was proven right tonight when I guessed that uh the Bulls DPOI this year was going to be bricks from the other team. Long year. Uh credit to me. Credit to those rims. Um credit to me. But thank Cody for that one. Um, I think I have to give my vote to Trey Jones. Oh, okay. Like, yes, the bench mob was great tonight. And you could pick any and all from the bench mob to nominate for goon of the night as well. But who led the Bulls second unit in that key comeback in the second quarter that put the Bulls in control of this game? Trey Jones. It was the Bulls bench mob plus Trey Jones that did that. I mean, this man had eight dimes and five steals. Mhm. like generating buckets, generating takeaways. Billy’s been harping on takeaways being something the Bulls need to be better at this season. They’re one of the worst teams in the league and creating turnovers last season. And we know that what can turnovers do for your defense lead it to easy transition offense. The Bulls did better on the fast break tonight than they did on Wednesday. Mhm. Credit that to Trey Jones and any and all other players who contributed in that steals category. But Trey Jones had five five on a night when he made big plays both as a playmaker and creator and shot creator for his teammates and a couple of big buckets of his own. That’s when you’re going to lead the bench mob as a starter and play like that and come out a plus 17 when most of the other starters were in the negatives like you got you have to credit that player. Wow, that’s a great point, sir. Uh, Joey C, do you have a goon of the night? Oh, all right. Okay. Well, hope real quick. All right. Come on. Uh, can I give a shout out to Jaylen Smith? Sure. On the rebound. Okay. After having just one of the more atrocious games you’re ever going to watch from a veteran NBA big man benchman coming back putting up some points on the board, but more importantly like providing a little D, like a little D in the interior. So, I got to go with Jaylen Smith tonight. It was a nice little bounce back. Not a bad pick. He was solid tonight. Yeah. Bad game, good game. So, you know, maybe middle game and game. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Then next thing you know, you know what I mean? Is important. Yeah. Jaylen Smith, how do you take your coffee? Go. Well, ladies, roll. Here it is. The coveted belt. Who shall it go to? You heard the drum roll. This a better drum roll than we like that. You know what I mean? We’ll work on the timing, but we’ll get it. We’ll get it together. Goon of the night goes to Lee Patrick. Come on, man. If it wasn’t for the Jordan performance by Matt Peek last game, he would have walked away with it. All right, but dang it. Lee Lee ball and he did his thing. The dive on the floor is what did it for me. But when he got the ball inside and he’s bodying people up and fading away and shooting shots, man, the the coming down the floor like we talked about the pull up three that he was taking. I even like the way he high-fived VC cuz he slapped his hand hard. I was excited about that. Everything he did tonight and in these past two games has been on the level of goon and in a way that I have not seen him do it before. You know why? Because that was Patrick before. This is Lee. Lee Patrick is out there and he is causing havoc and I love it very very much. Lee, this is yours, my friend. You are goon of the night. So proud of him. Well earned. Well earned. And per I mean does Lee have more goon of the night awards than Patrick? I was just about to say when is the last time we saw a Pat Williams goon of the night victory? I’m trying to remember any from last season. I can’t remember one. I can’t remember one. I’m sure he has probably, but hey, the past is the past. Let me ask you guys this real quick. If he puts not to juggle, Mr. High, we talked about consistency being a thing that has been, you know, evasive. If he plays like this for the rest of his Bulls tenure, will that be worth the $18 million per year? Because I think that you’re getting pretty close, honestly. like he played he played highle role player level tonight and that’s like that’s worth$18 million to me. Yeah, I I agree. I mean I remember when you signed it that’s kind of was your point about the contract as well uh when he signed it. But yes, because again we’re talking about consistency, something we haven’t seen him do. So, if you’re talking about consistently giving me 12 points or even 10 points, double digit points, five rebounds and assist and defense, and I can trust you, you know what I’m saying, to be in in the fourth quarter and not do something that’s incredibly crazy. Yes, you you are worth your contract, but long season to go, but all I know is Lee is in the building, sir. This ain’t Patrick. Uh Jeff Rocks in the chat just said, “I’ve never seen Patrick and Lee in the same room at the same time.” Me neither. Just saying. I’m just saying when that signal goes up, you know what I mean? Bruce Wayne disappears and here comes Batman. Well, there go Lee man out there doing his thing. Sir, it is interesting. You know, I I think just last year was really tough for Pat and it was tough for Bulls fans to watch him have that tough of a year. Yeah. And I like I know that there were still a few people hanging out on Patrick Williams Island among Bulls fans. Shout out to Rob who’s always in our chat hanging out. I believe he still has real estate on Pat Will Island. Marquay. Uh oh. Obviously Marquay, one of Pat Will’s biggest stands. Oh, he’s um but you know, it is kind of a funny question go to think about like what at what point does Pat Williams production, even in a bench guy role, a part of the Bulls benchmobever.0 know, get to a point where even Bulls fans who have been frustrated with him all of these years wanting to see more, seeing a glimpse of potential that doesn’t materialize, get around come around to the idea of like, okay, Pat’s actually a useful player on a contract that’s not terrible. Like, what is that threshold for those two points to converge? To me, it’s like it’s less about what numbers does he need to put up and more about the consistency piece. And that’s why I talked about it earlier in the show. Like to me, these aren’t roughly the numbers that I would feel more comfortable with. Um, but it can’t be like just one out of every five or six games. Like even the first game, he had four points, four rebounds in 17 minutes. Like that that doesn’t do it. He was still more impactful in terms of like having a presence than he was for most of the time last year, but he just needs to get to a point where he’s like impacting the game consistently because $18 million sounds like a lot of money, is a lot of money in real life. In basketball dollars, it’s like it’s not that much. I mean, by the end of it, it’ll be around the mid-level exception. So, you’re talking about players that you can sign if you are over the cap team, like bringing in a vet. He’s just got to be more consistent and he’s got to do it um at a at a in a role I think that leads to winning more than just like putting up numbers, you know what I mean? And I think at times part of it has to do with like the Bulls and what they’re playing for, but like right now him being a productive player in route to a win that they are trying to get to like that that’s valuable to me. And so um I think it’s all about consistency. Mhm. Uh, as we get ready to wrap things up here, uh, on CHO Bulls postgame, we will head to just a teensy bit of overtime, for those of you watching on our streaming services of various kinds, if you want that bonus coverage, just head to all cho.com. Um, G Manifesto saying, “I sold my PEL lot last year.” Odiza 1688 saying, “I never left the island.” Good for you. Oh, man. Uh, Balthor Payne saying, “I have a palisade on Pewill Island. I’m going down with the ship. Uh meanwhile, the South MJ just saying the contract is horrible. Trade him. So there’s there’s still both sides of this how Bulls fans feel about Patrick Williams after a handful of decent minutes in preseason action and then showing us some stuff tonight. Um again, I I think this is like a the the every journey be a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step or whatever the hell the saying is. That’s how I feel about seeing some glimpses of positive positivity and peewhe positively impacting the Bulls on the court. And my mind’s changing about that. Yeah, I am on step one of a thousand right now. Yes. To to start to trust Patrick Williams being a good thing for this Bulls team. And I think the reason we feel like we can actually take that step is because of how it’s happening. It’s not like we haven’t seen him get 12 points and four rebounds before. We’ve seen this happen. But it’s the way he’s getting it. That’s the difference. It’s not just standing in the corner and hitting threes, you know what I mean? It’s not just, hey, he made one move, you know what I mean? And it worked. Hey, we’re going crazy about it. It’s not that. It’s just him out there sweating and being consistent with the basketball and helping his team. Like, you show up and we see it. It It leaps off your screen when you’re active. And he has been absolutely active in these first two games and in the preseason. uh for this team. How about that dunk on Jonathan Isaac that he had with the left hand. I mean, he put it in on that dude, man. That is that is exciting stuff to see from Patrick Williams, man. That happened early in the game. It wasn’t even later in the game. Like, no, early in the game, I got the ball and he had to get it and pick it up and come up with it and dunk on him, man, because it wasn’t a perfect pass, but he still finished on a guy who’s known for defense. Dunked on him with the left. That’s huge stuff. If I can get that consistently, just that pulse, just that sweat, just those beads of sweat on the forehead and dripping off the chin onto the floor. If I can get that from my man Lee Patrick and it feels like we’re getting that. Got yourself a stew going, ladies and gentlemen. Uh, Odza 1688 in the chat saying, “With what we’re seeing, if we had a healthy roster, we could have blown both of these teams out.” I’m just saying. All right, can we all just pump the brakes a little bit? I was just looking this up. What opponents in the first two games? The Bulls are number one in defense in the league, by the way. Opponents are 10 of 48 on threes. So, let’s stop the season, baby. It’s over. We’ll see what happens. Number one. All credit to the Bulls defense for that. I’m sure. What’s the scene in baseball or you know what I mean? Where we’re just they’re saying cool stuff to them right before they shoot to kind of just give them that little final psych. Not a baseball reference. Shut up. Oh my like Yeah, dude. Dude, the Bulls are 2 and0 and that’s awesome. I did not expect them to be 2 and 0 with these two opponents uh out of the gate. But the the whole like, well, if we were healthy, then this would the Pistons were without Jaden Ivy on Wednesday, right? The Magic were missing Jaylen Suggs tonight. Big part of their team. What were without Kobe White? I see again. So, it’s like But so that was the argument somebody in the chat was trying to make like imagine like if we were healthy, we would have beat blown these teams out. So, well, we’ll see on Monday cuz playing against Atlanta, I don’t think Atlanta has a game in between or anything like that. So, they played yesterday and today. Yeah, they’re playing tonight. Yeah. Right. But I’m just saying they don’t have a game another game. So, they’re going to get a day uh of rest before they Jaylen Johnson with an ankle is out today. Porzingis is sick. He was out today and Reese was out today. Did Didn’t the Hawks take a bad loss in their first game? I can’t remember who it was to. Um I feel like like did they lose to Utah or something? They How dare you disrespect? They lost to Toronto by 20. They lost to Toronto by 20. And then last night they lost to OKC. Okay. Well, so or no, tonight they lost to OKC. Magic last night, but last night they beat the Magic. Okay. But so like dude, Hawks, Pistons, Magic, three teams that I think people thought would be in the playoff picture in the East. Look, same area code. I I the Bulls might have a shot at being in the hunt just because the entire Eastern Conference is garbage. Which like I’ll take it. Equal levels. I’ll take it. Uh all right. Well, with that, we will get out of here and let you all enjoy the rest of your Saturday night wherever you are. We all have scored as much as Okoro
I was at the game in Orlando. Tre Jones was playing defense like crazy and caused Orlando’s offense to regroup numerous times. Giddey was at the scorer table at the end of the game but the bulls closed it out so Billy called him back and let Tre finish the game. Tre Jones was a throw in for that Zach lavine trade . That was a win for Ak imo also we re signed him for noting basically.
How hasnt Giddey got any good props on this poscast? Where was Matas?
Giddey – top scores in a win with multiple starters missing.
You idiots – 30 mins of podcast about replacing him with tre
Bloody childish group…
Orlando just isn’t all that impressive. Hell, they’ve still got Wendell Carter running out there every night. Without Suggs and Mo Wagner, they’re playing rookies and second year players big minutes. Not impressed
Are we over 500 lol
Tre Jones best player on the team? What am I watching….
At 38:50 it skips for some reason?
Lots of advanced analytics getting dropped but the analysis and synthesis is putrid. Bunch of basement boys with peanut butter on their chests while thrashing it out to pornhub. Morons
It’s been 2 games stop talking so definite, are you a new bulls fan lol?
Giddey was the bulls best!!
The Bulls weren't any better from 3 than orlando? They literally were 25% better from 3. At 37% which is around NBA avg i believe too
I feel like Julian Phillips should be next man up before Dalen Terry
Dive into the defensive stats? Rating etc? Through 2 games theyve been very good and individually on the Bulls and Julian Jalen pwill huerter under 90 defensive ratings
Tre Jones luv in…sorry but Giddey as the Chicago Bulls pt guard, is more exciting and effective. Giddey highest points for the game. Stupid Peck 👀 doesn't know watch able BBall
Its funny you ask whens the last time u saw pwill shoot a 3 in transition leading a break? Idk the last time. But when he initially injured his foot it was on that type of play at the end of a quarter to beat the clock and his foot slipped on the court almost 2 yrs ago. And again you do realize how much or how important your foot is needed for you to move around and play defense box out etc it's crazy that if you played Sports you can't imagine having an injury like that and trying to play through it at a high level and it not impacting your ability to guard Paolo Giannis all these freak NBA talents
The bench out scored the starters, they played outstanding
Rewatch the game and see pwill contesting paolo shot often or Paolo deciding not to attack him cuz hes strong and its tougher to score on him. He did the best job of any bulls player y do u think Billy had him guarding Paolo at the end of the game. And watch on those pwill contested shots bs paolo how often the other 4 players box out. U did see the off rebs stats right? So everyone has to box.out and rebound, pwill cant guard paolo on a shot and box out and reb on the same plays, lol
Lasted 13 minutes before I switched off. Will Perdue is the only one with a basketball brain. Next game these clowns wiil say that Ayo is the best player on the team. The game after that they'll be calling for Giddey to be traded because he's surplus to needs.
Change this to the we hate Josh Giddey podcast. Hate Peck now
@chgo sports how about our franchise point guard taking down Cade and company and now Paolo and Franz and Bane? Giddey isnt the traditional superstar you want, but he has developed into the star we need.
@chgosports he wants to close with Tre vs Giddey? Are you all insane? Seriously all you insane? Do you have Giddey derangement syndrome? Giddey was in foul trouble in game 1, and in this game, the game was over when he didn’t put Giddey back in. We were up 10! 10-12 with 3 minutes to go. If it got tight he would have put Giddey back in. Why not just understand Billy kept them in because the game was over, has nothing to do with Giddey! Giddey was the leading scorer and is drawing the toughest defensive assistant and seeing double teams throughout the game. Honestly, you guys are clueless
AK did say just 10 good players right? Might be a genius move yet .
