  3. Imagine he’ll be fired with cause from the Caps anyway. Wonder when this happened because it didn’t come up when he was hired. Hope the victim is in a good place, that’s the most important thing.

  5. Would explain why he was passed on for the HC roles. Given the league’s investigation took months of investigating the issue, they must have found enough evidence to make the decision. Given the other incidents that occurred in the NHL in recent years, I can assume Mitch will never be hired in the league again.

  6. That’s a bummer. He was a good coach, but these actions have no place in the world, let alone the league.

  8. I was hoping this wasn’t going to be the reason, but given how he was unceramiously put on leave it felt likely it was either going to be this or gambling.
