He’s certainly struggled. It’s way too early to be campaigning to trade the guy though. He’s one of those passionate guys you want on the roster for us. I think he figures it out. He’s played really well with Matthews in the past.
He was hurt coming into camp. I am curious if he is playing hurt. If I am Berube I am scratching him for the next game at the very least.

If domi would just shoot the puck every once in a while it would do him wonders
We brought him in for the playoffs, and he’s never disappointed when it matters most. We’re not paying him $11 million, so his salary isn’t even making a big dent. Relax. His passion alone is worthy in my books.
The guy has been on a different line with different combos the entire season. The whole team has. It’s too early to judge anything.
I think it would be good for him if the coaching would figure out how the fuck they want to use him the guys on a different line every game maybe multiple times a game sometimes.
I’m going to say something here that I probably shouldn’t. He’s type one diabetic. He’s does ads for the
Dexcom G6 glucose monitor. I wouldn’t be surprised if he lets the sugars run slightly high during playoffs to reduce the chance of a low vs being more conservative for the rest of the year.
Playing with diabetes is no joke.
Maybe the coach has to give the guy more than 1 game on the top line for things to click

3.75 million less than 5% of the cap. He is 8th on the team in cap hit. He has a 13 team M-NTC this is not a bad contract
The only way he should stay is on the right wing, we’ve used him in the C position for waaayyyy too long. Fish outa water at center.
I don’t want to pin things like this solely on max cause honestly all of our forwards look extremely lost picking up guys on the rush. Sure max has a track record of this but every leaf forward has had awful defensive moments so far this season. I know the D core has some deserved blame at times but defence is a 5 man job and the forwards have not held up their end of that so far this year.
