[Barry Jackson] Bobby’s answer to question posed below is what this comes down to. Withholding information from Heat was simply the wrong thing to do. Hornets are taking the fifth, refusing to say if they knew (they haven’t clarified to Heat, either, as of Friday)

# Anytime a player’s actions could be a crime and/or call the integrity of the game into question, the league has a responsibility to share any relevant information with teams that might be trading for him.
The fact that the league knew about the irregular betting involving Terry [the day that it happened](https://www.reddit.com/r/heat/comments/1oei3p8/the_sports_books_caught_the_irregular_betting_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) (& the Hornets pleading the fifth) and did NOT inform the Heat is absolutely bullsh*t.
Imagine buying a house, only to find out later that the seller never mentioned the thousands of cockroaches living underneath it, which will start trying to find their way inside the house during a particular season. You would be furious if you bought this house and probably want to sue.
Just as buying property has seller disclosure law, the NBA has to do the same when it has important information.
Take Malik Beasley, for example. He is still sitting on his couch, unsigned because it was made known publicly that he is under investigation.
Why? Because no team wants to risk a roster spot—let alone trade assets—on a player who might be under criminal investigation.
We need a Saul Goodman type of lawyer
Can Heat sue the 💩 out of the nba and Hornets? Hope so!!
