đ¨INSTANT REACTIONđ¨ Bears LOSE UGLY To Ravens – Caleb Williams Throws Critical Interception
The Chicago Bears four-game winning streak has come to an end as they fall in Baltimore 30-6 to the Ravens in week eight and now fall to 4-3 on the season. We’re going to break down this game from all angles here on Chicago Bears now. So, welcome into the program. My name is Harrison Graham. Okay, Ravens 30, Bears 16. I just don’t even really know where to start to be honest. I mean, I I thought you got beat in all three phases. Uh I think early you missed some opportunities. Straight down the field on the opening drive. You get second and goal at the three. Chance to punch it in and go up 7 nothing. I thought Ben Johnson had one of his weirdest calls of the season. He called a shotgun stretch play handoff to Kyle Manungai that gets blown up for a loss of two. Uh and then Caleb gets sacked on third down. Theo Benedict beat on a speed rush. So you settle for the Okay, nice little drive, get three, get a three and out defensively, get the ball back, drive down again, stall out at about the 22, kick another field goal. Six nothing. At the end of the first quarter, you outgainained the Ravens 125 to8 and it was only six to nothing. and myself and producer Colin, we were like, I don’t know, feels like you’ve missed some opportunities here to really apply pressure on a desperate team. Cuz then from there, the Ravens physicality kind of took over, I thought, and Ben Johnson talked about that after the game. He said he thought they played a physical brand of football and didn’t think the may be Bears matched it. Um, they pretty much had the ball the entire second quarter and most of the third quarter. Um, you know, you get a nice little kickoff return from Devin Duivere. seems like the only one of the year pass midfield and then Ben calls a DJ Moore pistol handoff that goes nowhere and then you I think throw incomplete and then you get sacked or doing an intentional grounding or something and you you turn that golden opportunity into no points and then to make matters worse Tory Taylor kicks a beautiful punt down to the one yard line and you don’t line up properly illegal formation and all of a sudden uh you are uh having to repunt and they get the ball at the 22. Like today, all the little mistakes that have been compiling this year met its head and everyone was involved in it. Caleb Williams for most of this game I thought played under control. No one’s saying he played perfect. Not even saying he played great, but what did we criticize him for last week? He’s turning down checkdowns. He’s trying to do too much. Well, today I thought he was getting back to the underneath stuff and taking the completions that were there and he was playing under control, but then in a critical spot down uh three points, can’t remember the exact score. I think it was uh 16 to 13 uh at the time, he throws a pick standing in his own end zone uh throwing to Roma over the middle. ball was late and not a it needed to be a perfect throw by the time he threw it and it was probably I don’t know a half yard behind him and Nate Wiggins jumps the route picks it off runs back to the nine they score pretty much ices the game um just not good not good and I thought for most of today he actually played better than last week but just not good enough for how decimated the Bears were at corner today you needed a better overall offensive performance you needed a better performance performance from Caleb Williams and you didn’t get it. It wasn’t all bad, but it wasn’t good enough. Are you worried about Caleb? Type Y for yes. Type in for no. Give me your thoughts down in the comment section. Are you concerned about the quarterback? Type Y for yes or you can type in for no. I think something that not concerns me but bothers me about this game is the Ravens to win this game without Lamar were going to have to play a game a certain way. They were going to have to be physical as hell. They were going to have to control the tempo of the game offensively and uh shorten the game. What do I mean by that? It’s a it’s a phrase coaches analysts talk about all the time. Less possessions overall. And the Ravens did that to a te these long drawn out drives. Four yards here, three yards there, converting third downs uh consistently. And the Bears after that first quarter had no rhythm offensively because they basically didn’t have the ball because in that second quarter it went long Ravens touchdown, Bears three and out, long Ravens touchdown, get the ball back with a minute left in the half. And then what happened at the end of the half? You get down to the 40, have to run a fire drill field goal, 58 yarder, long one, and Cairo Santos comes up short. It’s kind of right in the edge of his range, comes up short. The Jake Moody discussion is going to heat up after that, I would imagine. Cairo is great when he’s within range, but the fact that a 58 yard comes up at least a couple of yards short, it’s a problem. In today’s NFL, that’s an issue. And I’ve been a Cairo defender because before Cairo, the Bears kicking kicking situation was a disaster for years. And when he’s in range, he’s very accurate, but his range is very limited compared to most kickers in today’s league. So, uh it’s going to be interesting to see if that uh conversation heats up, but not a good enough effort. And just to kind of wrap up special teams real quick, and then we’ll talk about the defense uh after a quick uh sponsor plug. What a disaster from Richard Hightower’s group. Not only does the Santos Smiths happen, no impactful returns other than the one from Duivere, but the coverage unit, which it seemed like it got fixed last week, was a disaster all day. Every return it seemed like was past the 40. And even the bad ones were still getting to like the 35. It’s like you might as well just kick it out of the end zone for a touchback. Oh, wait. Your your kicker doesn’t have a big enough leg to even do that even if you want to. So, um, frustrating, man. Penalties, too. We’ll talk about that as well. Uh, hit that subscribe button, though. We’re not going anywhere. This team’s still four and three. There’s still some posit positives. I said you had to split Baltimore and Cincinnati. You still have a chance to do that. Uh, but we’re going to be here all season long. Subscribe to the channel. We’re bringing you guys Bears news, trade buzz this week. Do they need to trade for a corner? We’ll talk about that. Uh, we got you guys covered. Thanks for helping us hit 136,000 subs. We are on the road to 137K. All right. Before we talk about the defense and just the continued penalty issues, um, let’s talk about our sponsor, Prize Picks. Daily fantasy made easy at prizepix.com/lns. You and I make decisions every day, but being right on prize picks can get you paid. Don’t miss any of the excitement this season on prize picks where it’s good to be right. I’ve gotten cold, man. I got to be honest. I’ve hit I’ve missed my last four or five lineups. Had a two-player lineup today of Derrick Henry, more than half a touchdown. That hit easily. He scored two. Uh I thought Roman Dunce would find the end zone. Third straight week without it. Now he had a big game, but uh did not have a touchdown in this one. Uh this was $20 entry to win 55 bucks. This is an example of what a price fix lineup can look like. The way it works is simple. You pick two or more players up to six in your lineup and you take more or less on their stat projections. Can be passing yards, receiving yards, rushing yards, points, rebounds, assist in basketball, three-pointers, uh goals assist in hockey. All sports are available. Check it out. That is code cls to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup prize fix. It’s good to be right. I said this was a loss in all three phases and I mean that. But I don’t know how much more the defense can do. Um just in general today they did not I’m not sitting here acting like they played good. But you’re down to Non Wright as your clear best corner. Nick Mloud just can’t play. You know, Jaylen Jones, they they picked him up off waiverss to start the year. Like they they just got no corners. They got no corners. Now, can can you can Tyler Huntley look as good as he did? No. You got to find some kind of solution. 17 to 22 and he started 14 of 15. You got to be better than that. But it it just you know we we said this flurry of turnovers isn’t going to continue. Now you would like to get one at least from Tyler Huntley. You had a chance at one point. Uh Tmaine Edmonds tipped the ball and uh it ends up floating just behind Kevin Bard. He was jumping the route and the deflection actually uh you know probably saved Baltimore because I think Bard was reading his keys and he was all over that. But uh that one didn’t work out. But, you know, for much of the day, they just could not get off the field in key spots. Now, they forced some field goals. They forced three field goals, but those long drawn out drives where, you know, you’re getting them into third down. At one point, you have Tyler Huntley second and 22 and he completes two passes to erase that. Tyler Huntley can’t get out of a second and 22 jam. You you just can’t let that happen. And they ended up scoring a touchdown on that drive. So, um not a great day for the defense either, but they’ve obviously been playing super well. If I had to rate uh the units of who to blame today, the defense was definitely third. I’d say offense and special teams 1A and 1B both cost you points today. No question about it. Um you know, we mentioned that Tory Taylor thing. They end up pinning you back. You end up throwing a pick, so that was in a lot of ways a special teams touchdown for Baltimore. Um special teams has been kind of all over the place this year. And it’s got to get better. And it’s got to get better quickly. You need more juice out of these returns. And you got to stop giving up returns to the 40. It’s every single possession. It’s not good enough. It’s just not good enough. So, kind of the theme of today, not good in any phases. And I’ll just say this, too. I I didn’t think it was that good of a coach game by Ben. I didn’t think it was his best game. I thought there were a few situational play calls that were underwhelming. Um, you know, I think in the red zone, some of these red zone woes, clearly you’re going to pin some on individual players, the unit as a whole, Caleb, whatever. Get Caleb on the move more. utilize his legs in the red area. I I I think that’s something they should do immediately to to try and generate keep the defense on their heels. Uh you know, on that opening drive, that scripted drive, they got him on a couple boots, effective plays going accurately, but um yeah, just you can’t really point to anyone today and be like, “Yeah, that guy played awesome.” Just not really that good in any area. So unfortunate, but uh season’s, you know, not dead by any means. You’re four and three. go to Cincinnati next week if you can win that game. You’re five and three. I said you had to get a split here. Still got an opportunity to do that. Certainly would have liked to beat Tyler Huntley today, but uh not meant to be. So uh that is that. I want to ask you guys this though before we get out of here. Should the Bears trade for a corner type T for trade, P for pass? Because they are pretty decimated at corner right now. And full disclosure, I don’t know Tyreek Stevenson’s status. If he returns next week, maybe they hold off. But even if they even if he does, I mean, are you going to roll with Nick Mloud at nickel the rest of the way? He’s just not very good, man. It’s one thing when you knew Kyler was just going to be out three or four weeks early in the year. Now, I have no idea how long Kyler is going to be out. At least three more weeks, but I’ve been told it could be more of like a six to eight week injury. I I don’t know if I can watch Nick McCloud for two months. So, I I’d be looking if you can find a relatively small trade that can upgrade that position. Uh, I’d be trying to do that if I was the Bears. All right, that’s going to do it for our postgame show. Bears fall 30 to6. Not a great loss, but uh we move four and three on the season. Got to get back on the saddle in Cincinnati next week. Who lost to the Jets? The Jets get on the board. No. 0 and 17. All right. Hit that subscribe button and bear down.

I know its a ârebuildâ or ânew systemâ but its mid way thru the season. Bo nix figured it out by this point in his rookie year. Im done being patient caleb needs to step up or fr they need to make a decision come next spring. Im not waiting 4 years for this to âplay outâ they have the weapons now and everybody is rolling but him. If you disagree you are in denial and dont know ball. CW love the guy but he needs to step tf up
You want to keep throwing the ball to the same receiver this is what youâre gonna have at the end of the day. We have decent receivers but Ben is only calling Romes number. Iâm sorry but Poles fkd up again with the Loveland pick or maybe Ben isnât using him right. Ben needs to find a better game plan or itâs gonna piss us diehards off when things start feeling like we havenât made any progress. That Mcloud is complete garbage that dude shouldnât even be on your roster. Whoeverâs call that dude was to be out there they donât know talent at all and thatâs scary. We have to many over paid players on this team and thatâs a fact. That falls on the GM and they gave him an extension truly insane. Bad money management and alot of it. Letâs see if Poles fks another trade deadline up this year.

The penalties have to stop. I think they have had 10+ in 6 of the 7 games. It's losing football.
Overall there was mistakes on the qb and coaching but both of those were just mistakes in terrible moments and everyone knew this Ben Johnson offense would take a while to click
Caleb is trash two bad defenses 0-2 no touchdowns two picks just ass
2nd and 3 rd Qtr the Bears went nowhere on offense. Can't play 2 qtrs and win a Football game.đ¤¨
Y Caleb is a problem
Of course the Bears organization doesn't give a rats ass how I feel, but I never wanted Williams and he clearly didn't want us. I feel that it's time to move on from this God awful experiment.
How much more time will we have to give caleb.
They fucking suck,im dont with these clows
Y
Gayleb biggest bust in nfl history. This guy and all of these other bears fan channels are sloppy know nothing clowns. They are paid influencers, not even amateur sport analysts. All of these goobers told you Gayleb was going to be fine and good and amazing. Hes the worst qb in the league
The game plan went to shit too many penalties. Caleb not seeing the field at all with a great receiving core. Not running Swift enough. Not involving the tight end enough. Same old garbage.
Overrated, overhyped and dismally dysfunctional. Their head coach just called them soft. Caleb is going to have an awful career.
Lions lose 5 out of 6 of their starting secondary and dominate 5-1 Tampa Bay, Chicago loses to a 1-5 Baltimore team starting their backup QB
Y
Caleb is good but is NOT a franchise QB. I would replace him to save the season. School him for the rest of this year and if not trade him.
We keep having jouryman QBs outplay our 1st round QBâs. The facial expressions from Johnson towards Caleb say it all, patience is wearing thin on his progression and Bagent needs to get a legit look with the 1âs.
100% offensive pass interference on D-Hop there in the 4th
as a packer fan your one bears fans i can respect but you are hilarious when yall lose đđđ
Defense wasnât gonna win this one for you. Caleb still too indecisive. They need to mix in more runs. They started with the run but once the Ravens scored their first TD they got away from it. Caleb does get too stuck on Odunze and the defenses know it. And add on all the mistakes/penalties and you can kiss this one goodbye.
Yes last week I was worried about Caleb and I am still looking at Nix and Maye doing again stop with give him time well Maye got a whole new coaching staff still doing just saying
YYY
Im guna need my #1 pick heisman winning generational talent to throw a TD once in a while
I'm sick of people always blaming the defense. With an offense that can't stay on the field and sustain a drive or put up points, the defense is tired! Not to mention hurt! The defense played a good game for how shit the offense was
They always rely on the D to help, but the O ain't there when they need it
We need to tank and get Fernando Mendoza or Ty Simpson
Yes it's one step forward and 3 steps back! Bear Down!!
'Y'
Damn Right go get a corner!!
Caleb didn't play well but the biggest problem was our defense. We don't have any CB and next week is going to suck unless we can get pressure
Drake Maye is looking like a future Hall of Fame QB. The Bears got the wrong guy once again.
Is it Bagent time yet?
This was a golden opportunity for this Bears' team to be serious-minded, to prove they are real and diligent about what they are doing…This team cannot be taken seriously now…you lose like this, it's a roller coaster team, nobody will know what will happen next, this is not good for a professional team, it's worse for fans because we can see, this Bears' team has the ability to dominate opponents at the line, running the ball, and defensively…they are being under-used when it comes to their talent — something is holding them back, could be play calling at both ends.
Y
I havenât seen one DJ Moore run play be very productive. We have to give up on the Deebo dream for DJ.
Trade Caleb in the offseason. Somebody should be willing to swap QBs with us if we sweeten the deal with a 1st round pick. Bears canât develop QBs, so we shouldnât try anymore. Either that or seriously close the doors on the Franchise cuz you wonât ever win another SB.
Caleb Williams has to be let go at the end of the season it's time to move on from him he's not focused enough!
Yes Caleb I think will be a Bust. Been saying it since he was drafted
Y
Ha ha. Bears fans actually thought that there wear a good team. Yall ainât not close. Yall really lost to mostly back ups from the ravens. Yall have good coache in Johnson but a crappy gm and grabby qb. Like honestly canât think of one bears players that id even top 5 at any position. Shit even top 10.
Williams does not have the brains to play QB.
DEFENSE = F
SPECIAL TEAMS = D
OFFENSE = C-
COACHING = D
TALENT ON THE FIELD = C-
Trubisky no one wanted him to even start, Fields fans wanted him gone halfway through his 2nd year. Williams "generational talent " that gets nothing but excuses for playing like shit.
