I find it unbelievable that he had the audacity to get up there and call the defense leaderless when he is the COACH responsible for identifying and developing leaders on the defense.
Not only that, but he (directly or indirectly through Al) undermined the leadership structure on the defense by benching Logan Wilson for a rookie.
Sure, but the loss is on you buddy. You had 1:30 and 3 timeouts to get into field goal range for McPherson, who hit a 67 yarder against the Packers. Pretty difficult to fuck that up, but guess what.

The problem is that he takes direct responsibility for the offense (often calling it “we” and “us”) and treats the defense as a separate unit outside of his control. This is what happens when you have a coach who calls the offense’s plays and doesn’t run the whole f’n team. After his ass gets canned, he can go be an OC somewhere – the only job he deserves.

They didn’t draft one, didn’t trade for one, and didn’t sign one. Who the f does he think is going to be the defensive leader on this team? lol.
