initial thoughts after watching the boys in person
• need to crash offensive glass
• cam whitmore is legit
• will riley needs more mins
• center rotation is actually pretty decent
• tre can average 18+ easily as a starter
• cj mccollum can score 50 on the wiz but not as a wiz ?

Biggest takeaway is that the souvenir cups are like half the size they were last season, insanely short. Real downgrade.

I was slightly encouraged by what I saw from Whitmore in preseason but he is starting to show a lot of the bad habits that got him traded away from Houston. Not attentive on defense and never considers passing. Might be one of those dudes who puts up insane scoring numbers in Europe/G-Leauge and people keep asking “how come he doesn’t get another shot in the NBA?” but those who have watched him know he doesn’t play winning basketball. Seems like a coaching nightmare too.
