NHL Highlights | Mammoth vs. Jets | October 26, 2025

Friday. He really sprung the life offensively.
Three assists in the second period. Hasn’t scored yet, but he has nine shots on goal in his last
three games. And this is underway. The Jets lost their season opener, won six of seven. Marino
struggled with injury problems last year. He had three points yesterday in the win against the
Wild. A goal and two assists. Mike Quist in the slot gets the shot away and Vanichek makes the
save. Schmidt got to him. Nate Smith the former Jets of course wearing the familiar number 88 won
the cup last year with Florida and Jack McBain at center the physical centerman the Krauss with a
rising shot Baron went down as four players gather Schmid is in there too now back to the line open
is Morrisy Josh Morsy shoots looking for a tip in front blocker save found a home in Utah in the
last obviously last year and now the start of this season cole takes it takes a Long shot and it is
squeezed by Hobach at Utah again in April. That’ll be it for the regular season. And that shot tipped
in front as cooly went there but steered away by Halobach. Poor pass played back in by Peterka.
Peterka came from Buffalo for Josh Stone and Michael Kessler. A big right shot defenseman as it
tipped in behind the goal. Vanichek being patient with it. He rolled it away. Valardi fired it right
back at him as Vanichek quickly got back into the goal. Baron continues on. Marino stepped in front
of him. Barrett gets it on his second chance. Neat drop pass to Connor from Valardi. Back to the blue
line. Shley hops on the ice. Long shot but rattles around. Valardi poking at it. Cole lobs that tower
at center. Hayden Flurry ran into him. Jets on the counterattack. Peter Ryder cut it through. Shley
curls loads it up and a swing and a partial miss by Flurry. Peock drilled that one wide. Back to
Flurry. Put it behind the net. Peter Ryder now shley heads to the bench. Flurry looking to get in
the step by Schmaltz wanted to muscle it through side of the net. Mike miss still looking for
his first and Schmaltz. Pretty good play, but he coughed it up in the end. Gets moved back to P on
shot. Tip stopped by Vanichek. Pounded from behind by Stenland. They keep it onside. Tanv fakes the
shot. Tanniff gets it away and a stick saved by Helah. Good quickness there by Brand Tanvan. Mark
Shley. 10 points to lead the Jets seven goals, three assists. Gunther the good young player.
Great goal scorer. Kulie off the rush. Fires it and good stop by Helnikov. Wins it cleanly. Back
to Peon. Flurry shot. No problem as Utah keeping the Jets at bay, boxing them out. Stenland trying
to be careful with it. Nyquist wants that puck and has it going to the net. Need a rider. Nikquist
looking for a rider off the skate of Stendland and it’s frozen maybe on target to get back on
November the 1st. That’ll make things a little deeper for the Jets. They’ve done a lot of it
already. Peock shoots gets his own rebound. Marino is banged right back in by Stanley. The
Jets hoping for possession and a late period chance maybe here. There’s a shot. One of the
best chances. Valardi is squeezed off that time by Simv. And now Gunther takes it up the middle
of the ice. Great back check there. A steal by Connor. He kicks it into gear. Connor flying into
the zone. Back hands it through the crease. Shly at the hash marks. Sergev couldn’t get it past
Connor. To the line now. Dylan Dlo shoots. Scores. Bullseye from the middle and
the Jets lead it one- nothing. That’s seven assists on the season for Kyle
Connor. And that is just unbelievable the way he picks the pocket of Dylan Gunther. And that’s
awesome intention and intensity away from the puck. So you take it. I’ll have that. Thank you.
And you go the other way with it. And our guest after the first period, Dylan Dlo eyes up 12. So
those two rather predictably at the top of the scoring table for the Jets and Morsy creeping
his way up there now as well. Schmaltz side of the net backand that is stopped by Halabuck as
in they come. Schmaltz plays it around on that set break in and give it away. Watch out for
Baron. He’ll chuck up after it. Morgan Baron short-handed to the net. Denied by Vanichek and he
got the puck right back. Perka picks up the pace, gives it to Yamamoto. They’ll come in. Yamamoto.
JJ Perka shot and maybe a shoulder save. Might have glanced off the crossbar there as Peter with
the quick release. They move it around hurriedly. Centering pass for McBain from a knee. He can’t
get enough wood on it. And down a go. Picks his way to the line. Four Utah players are back
and Keller gets the puck. Trying to get that speed gain going up ahead for Smalls. Return for
Keller. Nice move around Morsy Keller to the goal and he couldn’t point finish the play. Nice rush
by Clayton Keller. Sergeev to Cichev. Shot knocked down by a standing Kobach. Keepy hoping a loose
puck would materialize. It didn’t. Now Schmidt up ahead of Caroli looking to work away from Shen.
Shot off the sharp angle. A torso save. Rebound. Helluck got it again. Maybe it was better that
it didn’t touch him. It may have banged in off of Helluck and therev scores. He stepped into one off
the faceoff win. A power play goal and we are tied at one. Boy, he’s been all around at these last
couple of shifts. Sergey or Mikuel Sergev steps into this one. It’s it’s a clean faceoff win.
Give a lot of credit to Nick Schmalls on that one. And he puts it in a lane where Sergeev can
just skate into this thing all in one motion and right on the ice. Chin to Chimberov. That takes
a good bounce for the Jets and Taves is after it. He’s checked by Stland. Taves can’t find it right
now. Jets in a change. Yamamoto the circle. Sets it up. They score. Carone gives Utah its first
lead. It’s two to1 Mammoth. And that is the razor sharp edge of room for making mistakes. Game
for Utah. If you look at the top of your screen, that was Shen heading to the bench and a turnover
quickly ends up in the back of the net. A twoon one that Utah takes full advantage of. Carone
skates northward and catches the Jets down a man and uh pushed the chips to the middle of the T.
15 left now in the power play. Valardi stepping out. That pass went off a body. The race is on.
Morrisy, good play to Mark Shley. Shot scores. He just would not give up that hook
and Shankley is tied at a two in the dying seconds of this power play. 3 seconds
remain and the Jets spend the entirety of it with their top unit in the offensive zone.
They’re they’re looking for areas of threat on both sides of the ice and it just comes
down to a simple little shot and easy for me to say Shipley does a nice job. Finds
a lane and then a quick little release. Pon for Flurry driving into the zone. Go to the
net. Taves tipped it. He drives it. Good save. Rebound. Oh check with a pair of dandies right
there. Reloads and resets. gets everybody back organized and in order and off the rush. That was
a wise decision. Force Utah to make a couple of big saves. Jets get the puck back. Neil P on
fires. Oh, kick save. A good one by Vanichek with the right leg. Pearson trying to find it is
able to chip it back, but get in behind Flurry. Check by Pearson to knock down Burka. They score.
The third leaping on a loose puck. He ripped it in and Utah has the lead with five and a half
left. That was Logan Culie right out to Gunter and that is a sharp and it’s picked up with 6
seconds to go. Time for a shot maybe. Here’s Mark Shley. fires it going to check the save
and the Utah Mavith hang on and beat the Jets.

  1. Where are all the usual fans talking about those empty seats in Winnipeg? I guess a few empty seats are only noteworthy if it's in Utah? 🤣😂😭😭

  2. The Jets didn't play well enough to win. They played sloppy and poory for long stretches. Not their best game of the season, for sure.
Congrats to the Mammoth on the win and on their winning streak. I wish the franchise success.

    GO JETS GO!!!
