Instant Reaction To The Suns BEATING The Kings ๐Ÿ”ฅ #phoenixsuns #devinbooker

The Phoenix Suns get their first win of the season, beating the Sacramento Kings 120 to 116. Let’s talk about it. I saw the receipts. I saw people panic about this Suns team. But there’s a reason. You check any of my social medias, Ben Garcia’s show. I didn’t panic because we saw this happen in the preseason. We saw the Suns get down a bunch of points in the preseason. But what happened? Something that they have this year that they did not have last year. an identity and they’re also building a culture based on the defensive side of the floor and they got down 20 plus points to a team that’s got a lot of good playmakers and shot creators. Demard Rose is a good player. Zack Lavine is a good player. Malik Monk can shoot the basketball. But it didn’t matter because the Suns when Bleep hits the fan have something that a lot of teams are struggling to find and that’s an identity. And on the defensive side of the ball, they pushed around the other team, that being the Sacramento Kings, in the second half, and they turned defense into offense, guys. In a game where Devin Booker has like seven turnovers and shoots the ball pretty ineffectively and at times kind of felt like he was almost costing the team despite having 31 points or in a game where, you know, he can’t get going early and Dylan Brooks is shooting the ball not great early. But then the second unit comes in. Colin Gillespie and others show an ability for this Suns team to come out on top because they have more depth this year. They have a foundation. They have an identity. And so for all those reasons, the Suns came out with the win tonight. And what did I say on Locked on Phoenix Suns all week and my own personal show, Ben Garcia’s show? A lot of teams are going to come in here expecting an easy win, but they’re going to leave saying, “What the bleep just happened?” Whether winning by a little or blowing a lead, that’s what the Suns did tonight. They flipped the script on the Kings, and that’s why they’re 1 and0. And the kings are 0 and1.

  1. it was the kings this isnโ€™t a good win they didnโ€™t even have their best player. This should scare fans if kings can rattle suns like that at home.

  2. I have trust issues with Oso, Dunn, and Gillespie when it comes to shooting ability and consistency. I'm not sure why Ott didn't play Richards much more as backup for Williams. Oso should be third or even 4th choice after Maluach. Why didn't they play Goodwin?

  3. Itโ€™s nice to have players that respond to high pressure situations and fight with grit instead of just chill and collect a check.

You saw last night that situational coaching is alive and well – and we seriously lacked that last year. Good adjustments, good battle, canโ€™t wait to see the rooks get their first taste of fire.

The Villain Era is off and running. Brooks is this eras Raja Bell.
