NHL Highlights | Mammoth vs. Jets – October 26, 2025

They have been absolutely redhot. They’re scoring goals in bunches. We’ll see what happens here tonight in downtown Winnipeg at Canada Life Center. Sipley against the line. And we are underway here tonight in Winnipeg as Logan Culie is in there as well at Al Flurry. And he’ll send it right back in behind the net. Right back to the front and into the glove of VTEC Vanichek for a face on Liam O’Brien as Jack McBain will bring it back. Lawson Krauss with a shot. A stop by Conor Hoba tried to get it into the corner. Shot to the front and they can’t finish it off. We talked about that shift out of the Tanv line last night in Minnesota. Really kind of turn the momentum 100% momentum building shifts. Even if they don’t score, they’ve provided value for their team. Domelo for Winnipeg. Keep and now they spread it out. Pack it over the line. Baron Morgan Baron falling down to the corner. Kevin Stellin, a former Chad. He’s in the corner. Brandon Tan is out there as well. Josh Morrisy is shot stirred away by V Tech Vanet. Now into the corner. Tan out high. Ian Cole thought about it. He shoots and a stop by Connor Hel. Absolutely. And and the shot from the point goes over the glass and out of play. But a followup on that and and you know, you were talking a lot last night in Minnesota, Dom, about hockey being the ultimate team game. And Brandon Tan has elevated that. You know, we’re talking to some people with the Winnipeg media prior to tonight about how he really helped the Jets locker room here in the transition and uh interesting to hear those comments. Now, he’s a player that’s been around. He’s got a keen awareness of what the team needs at any given moment in any given game. He’s played in big games. Such an asset to have that kind of experience and understanding in the locker room. Panache behind the net, sent around. He had to make the save. Getting back into the crease. First game in Canada this season as well. We’re going to see a lot of Canada, Eastern Canada on the next road trip. John Marino Smaltz shoots. Batted away by Hell. Terrific takeaway there. But Baron stays with it. Kyle Connor. Mismatch right now for the for the Jets here. And it goes right to VTEC Vanichuk who makes the save. Now Peon Peter Rider back out high. Fanning out. Pon will pick it up. He shoots. She sent it off. Flurry in behind as Shley’s going to get to the bench. Flurry angled off by Small. Small stripped it away. And here he comes. Nick Small tied up by two players. It goes to the line. Couldn’t get a clear and a stop by took advantage of Stanley. The defenseman in behind the net taken by Marino. Lost. Taves has it goes across. Stanley with a big shot. A stop and carry all the way back out high and sh. All right. Thanks a lot Sarah and Jonathan Taves. Just a a really, you know, you look for the feelood stories, right, Dom? And the feelood stories. Kyle Connor right to the front. Nana Chuck let it go wide. Shipley now. And now back to the line. Dylan Dlo. He shoots. She scores. Dlo. And that was through traffic and hit the pipe and went in. And it’s one- nothing Winnipeg. Now lapses. that Andre Juny wanted to clean up. This time JJ Purka gets stuck on the wrong side of the ice and by the time he recovers it’s too late. The shooting lane is open. Here comes Purka trying to recover. Breaking even down a man. Impressive stuff. Barrett and Connor with the short-handed goals. Here we go. And Barrett’s going to bring it back. Here he comes. Barrett is in the hand. with good sticks that lead to the offense short-handed for the Jets. Good job from Male Service is just not connecting for Utah here. Real good opportunity to maybe get a greasy one here on Conor Connor Halabok. And now right to the front off the pike goes Purka back and applying pressure. Here’s the chance. Keep an eye on Purka. Looks like he’s going to make a backhand pass and then just fires it. Tricky little shot from Perska there. Now Purka along the inboards trying to jam it for McBain and Mcbane is denied and cleared away. Right idea though popped down on a knee and he gets a pretty a minute 21 left in the minor penalty to Pon. Serge and he scores. Male Sergev might have been redirected in front. Doesn’t matter. We’re tied in the peg and the faceoff win. Nick Schmaltz clean win allows Male Sergev to walk straight down Broadway. Schmaltz not only wins the draw but gets in the way of his man. Delays the ability of that centerman to come out and block this shot. Tremendous effort from Nick Schm. Really elevated their game and they get the game tied. Absolutely right. Seemed like twoon one the other way and here they come. Yamamoto he’s in across and a goal. [Applause] Michael Carone and it’s 2-1 Utah. They caught him in a change. Yamamoto who’s inserted into the lineup by the head coach cashes in here with an absolutely gorgeous dish. Eyes at the net the whole way. Patience, eyes at the net and then a touch pass over the stick. Now I follow again trying to move it back out high. Morrisy comes across Shipley. Shley shoots. He scores. Mark Shipley in the power play remains redhot. It’s 2-2. Two minutes for the Winnipeg Jets to finally solve the Mammoth penalty kill here. A terrific job, but after a certain while, these tired bodies nearly 2 minutes on the ice. You can see Sergy Chev at the end of his shift has no gas left in the tank and it’s the sniper Shley that’s able to tipped in front from Barrett Hayden back of the line. Smith wastes no time off the end boards and it’s underneath. Is it in or outly close Hayden? impressive. We’ll soon find out. [Applause] Logan Culie here against Mark Shiffley. And the Utah Mammoth win the draw. Logan by the way, is absolutely dominating Mark Shley. Taken away by Sergachev. Gets enough of it to get out of the Mammoth end of the ice. Picked up though Connor. O’ Connor trying to go wide to the front and it just cars wide. Jets had. Here’s the speedy Kyle Connor that gets around the corner on Sergev. That puck bounces past Vanichek and within inches of the far post [Music] and a break for guy to cover. Almost reminiscent of an overtime bringing the puck all the way back. Flurry’s got it up on left wing. Flurry to the front. Denied. Rebound. Oh, what a stop and a rebound. Oh, feed tech. I mean, this is just absurd. Redirection. Rebound. Another rebound. Gets it with the glove. VTEC Vanichek doing his part for the Utah Mammoth. That’s recovery. Utah can’t get it out. Peak with a shot. Save. Vanache. [Applause] and poke right back to center ice. JJ Purka angled off picks up the loose puck momentarily. Cool to the front. A shot and a goal. Dylan Gunther rips one high and tight and it’s three Utah. But Dylan got their starts with the one battle from JJ Purko. What an effort from him. And what a nifty eyes in the back of his head pass from Logan Culie. No hesitation straight to Gunther. [Applause] I mean this line is beyond belief. Shley Polardi stripped away. Serge he still can’t get a clear. Connor shoots enough. Bad check. They said it went out. The play continues. He’ll try to bring it along. Six to go. Right back in. Shipley shoots. Stop. Panache. Synthet. And the win streak rolls on for the Utah Mammoth. [Music]

Michael Carcone, Mikhail Sergachev, and Dylan Guenther each scored while Vitek Vanecek made 28 saves to elevate the Utah Mammoth to a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

  1. LET’S GO MAMMOTH!! I mean can we believe the effort from JJ on the forecheck to Cooley to Guenther for the game winner. The boys showed grit winning against the Jets on the back to back.

Good game to the Jets! Don’t feel too bad, you lost against the future Stanley cup champs (I’m delusional with hope).

  2. 7. WINS. IN. A. ROW! And I can’t stress enough how impressive this was from Utah! Their 5th comeback win of the season, which leads the league, all of their wins they scored 3 goals or more, and more importantly, this win comes on a back to back on the road against a really talented Winnipeg Jets team, one of the best in the league. This Mammoth team is for real! And they’re announcing to the whole hockey world that we are here. Go Mammoth!

  3. Technically not Utah’s inaugural season, tho its first with a name… Echoes of Vegas’ first season. They may take it well into the playoffs.

  4. I don't know why, but I like the mammoth! The 3rd goal showed their character, a hard fight by Peterka finished with the game deciding goal. Maybe this character is the reason why I like them…

  5. I’m going to get ahead of myself by saying. Wouldn’t it be funny if Utah wins a cup before Edmonton does. You might laugh now but it’s quite possible.

  6. I don't understand Buffalo. Why are they giving away players like Cozens and here Peterka (for Doan wtf). They're gonna be rebuilding til the 22nd century when they keep getting rid of the young great talent they're drafting.
