Duane Kuiper on the Giants new manager Tony Vitello #sfgiants #tonyvitello #duanekuiper

But I think the first thing and and it’s going to it would be like this in basketball or football or any of the the pro sports is the younger guys this doesn’t affect them at all. Yeah. But the older guys are you’re going to have to win them over and uh and it’s kind of tricky. I mean, if you start if you start get into spring training and you start running high school hairy drills and, you know, college stuff, you know, these veteran guys are going to go, “No, that’s, you know, that’s not how we do things around here.” Uh, so he’s going to have to win the veteran guys over. I’ve been told that he’s he’s super super competitive, but he’s also got a really keen personality that could probably win those guys over when he gets the opportunity. Uh, I’m really intrigued at at this because I think it’s going to be really really interesting to see how all of this works out. But if you want change, then Buster has done that for you. If this is the guy now you got to change and now we’ll see how it all works out.

  1. Let’s face it! The Giants played with very little sense of urgency last year. Vitello won’t be having it, as Kup saying, I don’t know if this will run the vets the wrong way. I’m taking a wait and see approach to Buster’s hire.

  2. I can see it going either way. A rah rah guy can wear thin with the veterans over a long season. I do hope it works and Vitello will provide motivation. Buster and his gang will make the lineups.
