This is the perfect year to trade down. Doesn’t matter how far or for how many picks. We just need more.
If you’ve been paying attention, our needs as a team run much deeper than QB
We got more holes than Spongebob so QB at 1 doesn’t sit right. But if we pass on Mendoza and he turns out great then it’s a hall of fame bad call.
We have maybe never been in and won’t be again in a better position to trade down
We need more picks to fill tons of holes that a QB doesn’t solve. Plus none of the ones in this draft inspire confidence
We’re better off stacking talent on O and D with as many picks as possible, and going after a QB when we inevitably have a high draft pick again in 2027
Of course the Saints would do this the one year when there isn’t a single great QB in the mix.

With all the holes in the offense, the last thing we need is ANOTHER QB! You put a good qb in a good offense, or else he’s just going to be another sacrificial lamb for the NFC.

Naw man, give me Reuben Bain or whoever the best defensive prospect is. If we draft a QB they’re gonna have the same problems Shough/Rattler are having.
