[Tom Pelissero] Veteran WR Tyler Lockett is signing with the #Raiders today, per sources. It’s a reunion for Lockett and Geno Smith, who connected plenty in Seattle and now are teaming up again under Pete Carroll in Las Vegas.

  29. Happy for Tyler to at least go somewhere he’s familiar with the personnel and some players. I felt awful that he wasn’t able to finish out his career in Seattle, and since we don’t really have room for him in our current WR corps I feel like this is as good a place as any for him.

  34. I don’t understand this move by Tyler. Why go to the Raiders? Is it truly just because of Pete and Geno? The Raiders look just as bad as the Titans and aren’t winning games anytime soon. Geno can barely get the ball out and I don’t see how Tyler thinks this is a better option for him. Did he truly not get any other offers from any better teams? Or was it solely wanting to be loved by Pete and he doesn’t care about winning? You’d think some championship caliber team would have thrown a bone to the guy. He must really not want a shot at a ring. I would have understood him trying to take a shot on A shot team for a ring but not this. I can’t stand guys who will hop around for 3-5 years trying to get a ring but if Tyler wanted to do it for a year, possibly 2, I’d get it given his age and production. I wish him luck. He’s truly one of the best Hawks to ever suit up. I hope he comes back for a day to retire!

    From doing enough wrong to finally get a long-deserved firing so we could hire Mike, to trading for Geno right before he fell off a cliff so the Hawks didn’t pay him, to now taking the option away from the Hawks of nostalgia signing maybe the softest washed up vet in the league (just in case JS was tempted)…Pete has been huge for Seattle recently.
