Tough loss. Onward.

  1. If he stays healthy I think he’s going to do it. Would love for it end with 9 wins.

  2. I just realized. The most Bears thing to happed is Caleb gets to 4000 yards but we’re still not sure if he’s the guy.

  3. I’m actually shocked he finished that game with 285. Sure didn’t feel like it. Offense as a whole really needs to improve in the red zone and I think we will be all right. Those drives down the field ending only in FGs really killed us

  4. Man, if Caleb gets to 4,000, I think it’ll go a long way to proving that he is not the biggest problem on the team.

He had flaws, for sure, but he can’t do anything when the offense gives up terrible penalties and the defense can’t get stops.

  5. He’s definitely hitting new territory. This is 24 consecutive starts. Almost seems unfathomable for a Bear QB. Also right around the pace needed to finally break 4K

A sort of asterisk though because Jay would have certainly gotten it in like 2013 or whatever, the year Trestman benched him for Clausen at the end Cutler fell like 180 yards short

  6. That’s the funny thing about the game yesterday. He finished with 285 yards, 7.5 yards per attempt, 65.8% completion percentage, and a QBR of 62.5 and we’re all acting like it was the worst QB play we’ve ever seen.

  7. Bears are still gonna get memed on if he does it in 17 as all the other 31 teams got 4000 yards within 16 or less

If he actually starts improving his glaring weaknesses for the season, he can get to that barring injuries

  8. Forget 4k, needs to work on his accuracy and off target throws. I’d rather see 70% comp pct and Caleb avg 200/yds a game.

  9. Was thinking of this exact graphic when DJ had that 1 handed grab at the end of the game.
